Chapter 9: Forest of Death Part 1

Sakura hurried toward the Forest of Death's, the atmosphere was tense, with dozens of genin teams gathered near the gates, each laden with supplies and weapons, their expressions hardened with determination or apprehension. The second part of the Chunin Exams was moments away, and the air was charged with anticipation.

She scanned the crowd and spotted familiar faces. Team Ten, led by Shikamaru, was waiting nearby. Chouji stood munching on a snack, while Ino was visibly trying to calm her nerves. Not far away, Sayuri Uchiha leaned casually against a tree, her dark eyes sharp and watchful. Despite her calm demeanor, Sakura could sense Sayuri's readiness for what lay ahead.

Breathing heavily, Sakura came to a stop near her teammate, pushing stray strands of hair from her face. "Sorry, I'm late," she said, trying to steady her breath.

"Doesn't matter," Sayuri replied coolly, not moving from her spot. Her arms were crossed, and her attention was split between observing the gathering teams and keeping an eye on Sakura. "Naruto's not here yet either."

Sakura frowned, her grip tightening on the hilt of her katana. "Where is that idiot?" she muttered under her breath.

Before Sayuri could respond, a loud voice cut through the murmurs of the genin. "Alright, listen up, maggots!" A jounin with wild purple hair and an unmistakable aura of authority strode into view. It was Anko Mitarashi, the proctor for this stage of the exam. Her eyes scanned the crowd, and her voice carried a dangerous edge. "You'll each receive one of two scrolls: Heaven or Earth. Your mission? Find the opposite scroll and make it to the tower at the center of the forest within five days. How you get the scrolls? That's up to you. Steal them, trade them, or fight for them—it doesn't matter. But remember: losing your scroll doesn't disqualify you. It's making it to the tower without both scrolls that does."

Sakura glanced at Sayuri, who nodded subtly. It was clear what this meant: they would need to be on high alert from the moment they entered the forest.

Anko continued, her smirk widening as she addressed the group. "Oh, and one more thing. The forest isn't just full of genin looking to tear each other apart. There are plenty of predators in there—some of them human, some not. If you're not ready to face that, you might as well quit now."

As she walked away to oversee the scroll distribution, Sakura turned to Sayuri. "Do you know which scroll we have?"

Sayuri nodded and reached into her pack, pulling out a sealed Heaven Scroll. "Heaven. We need an Earth Scroll to pass."

Sakura sighed, adjusting the strap of her katana. "And Naruto still isn't here. If he doesn't show up soon—"

"Relax." Sayuri's tone was flat, though there was a trace of irritation in her eyes. "He'll show up. He's not stupid enough to miss this."

As if summoned by her words, the familiar sound of footsteps reached their ears. Sakura turned, ready to launch into a tirade, but her sharp words caught in her throat when she saw Naruto approaching. He wore his usual confident smirk, though there was a tension in his posture that hadn't been there before.

"You're late," Sakura said, crossing her arms.

Naruto waved her off. "Yeah, yeah. Got held up." He glanced at Sayuri, who raised an eyebrow but said nothing. "What did I miss?"

Sakura filled him in quickly, her words brisk and efficient. "We have a Heaven Scroll. We need an Earth Scroll to pass. And it's a free-for-all out there. Got it?"

Naruto nodded, his expression growing serious. "Got it."

"Good," Sayuri said, her voice cutting through the tension. "Then let's move to our gate. We don't have time to waste."

The three of them made their way toward their assigned gate, the tension between them palpable. As they approached the towering gates of the Forest of Death, Naruto slowed for a moment, glancing back toward the crowd of genin. His cerulean eyes caught the moonlight, and for a brief moment, they shimmered with a faint, otherworldly glow.

"Naruto?" Sakura's voice brought him back to the present. She and Sayuri were already at the gate, waiting.

"Coming," he said, shaking off the strange feeling in his chest. Whatever challenges lay ahead, he was ready. At least, that's what he told himself.

Naruto moved swiftly through the dense undergrowth of the Forest of Death, the shadows of trees swallowing his figure as he leapt from branch to branch with practiced ease. The oppressive air of the forest was a far cry from the serenity of Konoha, but it wasn't the dangers of the wilderness that troubled him. His left eye throbbed, a dull ache that hadn't subsided since the events of the previous night. He pressed a hand to his temple briefly, gritting his teeth as the sensation pulsed like a warning siren.

Ahead of him, Sayuri cut through the trees effortlessly, her movements precise and purposeful. She showed no sign of fatigue, her calm demeanor a stark contrast to Sakura's more cautious glances at every shadow.

Sakura finally broke the silence, her voice sharp and irritable. "Naruto, can you stop spacing out for once? This isn't a game. If we don't stay alert, we're not making it out of here in one piece."

Naruto forced a grin, though it didn't reach his eyes. "Relax, Sakura. I've got this. Besides, I think we're doing just fine so far."

Sayuri glanced back briefly, her expression neutral but her tone cutting. "Sakura's right. This is a free-for-all, and every genin here is either desperate or ruthless. You might want to stop acting like this is a picnic."

Naruto's grin faltered for a moment, replaced by a frown. His hand subconsciously moved toward his left eye, but he stopped himself, clenching his fist instead. "Yeah, yeah," he muttered, more to himself than to his teammates.

The group continued onward, moving silently through the forest. The oppressive atmosphere pressed down on them, and the occasional distant cries of creatures unknown kept them all on edge. Sakura tightened her grip on her katana, her other hand brushing over the kunai pouch at her hip. She couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched, though every time she glanced around, she found nothing but shadows.

Naruto suddenly came to a halt, his body tensing as he turned his head slightly to the side. Sayuri and Sakura stopped a moment later, both of them turning to face him.

"What now?" Sayuri asked, a hint of impatience in her voice.

Naruto's face was serious, his usual carefree attitude nowhere to be found. "We need to talk," he said simply, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Sakura exchanged a glance with Sayuri before stepping closer to Naruto. "What is it? Did you sense something?" she asked, her voice quieter now.

Naruto shook his head. "Not yet, but we need to be prepared. There are a few people we really need to avoid in this forest."

Sayuri crossed her arms, leaning slightly against a tree. "You're wasting time with this," she said coolly. "If you've got something useful to say, spit it out."

Naruto ignored her tone and began counting off on his fingers. "First, there's Gaara," he said, his expression darkening at the name. "He's dangerous—way more dangerous than he looks. He has some kind of ability that lets him control sand, and trust me, you don't want to find out how strong it is."

Sakura shivered at the mention of Gaara, the memory of their earlier encounter flashing through her mind. She nodded slowly, her voice low. "Yeah, I remember him. He… he was terrifying."

Sayuri raised an eyebrow but said nothing, waiting for Naruto to continue.

"Second," Naruto went on, his voice dropping slightly, "is that creepy guy from Kusa—the one with the long tongue. There's something seriously off about him, and Anko told me to steer clear of him. If he scared her, then we'd better listen."

Sayuri narrowed her eyes, her stance shifting slightly. "The one from yesterday?" she asked. "What's his deal?"

Naruto shook his head. "I don't know, and I don't want to find out. Just avoid him if you see him."

Sakura nodded, gripping her katana tighter. "Got it. Who else?"

Naruto hesitated for a moment, his gaze drifting to the ground. "There's one more. Kabuto," he said finally, his voice tinged with unease. "There's something about him that doesn't sit right with me. He's too nice, too… fake. I don't trust him."

Sayuri scoffed lightly. "Kabuto? The guy who's failed this exam over and over? You're worried about him?"

"I know it sounds crazy," Naruto admitted, his eyes narrowing, "but my gut's telling me he's not what he seems."

Sakura and Sayuri exchanged a glance, neither of them entirely convinced but unwilling to dismiss Naruto's instincts outright.

Before they could continue the conversation, Naruto suddenly froze, his entire body going rigid. His left eye burned, a sharp, searing pain that made him clutch at it instinctively. A faint glow began to emanate from his eye, the intricate, swirling pattern of the Jōgan momentarily visible before fading again.

"Naruto?" Sakura's voice was filled with concern as she stepped closer. "What's wrong?"

Naruto didn't answer immediately, his attention focused on the dense shadows ahead of them. His danger sense was screaming at him, louder and more urgent than ever before.

Sayuri drew a kunai, her eyes narrowing as she followed Naruto's gaze. "What is it? Do you see something?"

Naruto gritted his teeth, the throbbing in his eye subsiding slightly as he forced himself to focus. "Something's coming," he said, his voice low but firm. "Stay on guard."

The three of them stood back-to-back, weapons at the ready, as the oppressive silence of the forest seemed to deepen around them.

Naruto's left eye burned with an intensity that made him wince, the familiar throbbing sensation that had plagued him since last night suddenly escalating to an unbearable degree. He clutched at his temple, gritting his teeth as a faint glow began to seep through the fingers covering his left eye. A swirling, celestial blue pattern lit up his iris, a pupil ringed with a luminous design that seemed alive—an intricate network of energy lines radiating outwards like the branches of a tree, pulsing faintly. It was the unmistakable activation of his Jōgan, the mysterious dojutsu he barely understood but knew instinctively was tied to danger.

At the same time, his right eye flared, the Kessetsugan, with its endless cerulean knots, radiating an otherworldly light that mirrored the glow of his left. The dual activation of his dojutsu sent a rush of foreign sensations through him, the air around him crackling with an unseen force.

Naruto staggered for a moment before straightening, his eyes darting around the forest. "Something's coming," he muttered, his voice tight with tension. His gaze locked onto a point in the air ahead of them, where a faint shimmer was beginning to distort the fabric of reality itself.

Sayuri and Sakura, standing on either side of him, instinctively drew their weapons. Sayuri's kunai gleamed in the dappled moonlight. Both turned to Naruto, confusion and concern etched on their faces.

"Naruto, what do you mean? What's coming?" Sayuri asked sharply, her voice betraying the unease she rarely allowed herself to show.

Before Naruto could answer, the shimmering distortion ahead of them solidified, forming a perfect oval of swirling black energy. The portal pulsed ominously, its edges crackling like lightning. The oppressive silence of the forest deepened as the three genin stared at the phenomenon, rooted to the spot.

Then, with a soundless ripple, a figure stepped through.

Tall and imposing, the man emerged from the portal with an aura that suffocated the air around them. His presence was overwhelming, exuding a calm yet undeniable sense of authority and menace. His pale skin was stark against the dark forest backdrop, and the horn-like protrusions on his head gave him an otherworldly appearance. His black cloak fluttered lightly, though there was no breeze, and the faint glow of red geometric patterns on his body hinted at an unfathomable power. This was Jigen, a being whose very presence screamed danger.

Naruto's heart raced as he felt his Jōgan respond violently to the intruder, his left eye glowing brighter as if trying to warn him. "I think you guys should start running," Naruto said, his voice low but filled with a seriousness neither Sayuri nor Sakura had ever heard before.

Sayuri's eyes narrowed, her hand tightening on her kunai. "Who is that?" she asked, though her instincts screamed at her that the answer wouldn't bring comfort.

Jigen's gaze swept across the three of them, but his attention quickly locked onto Naruto. His eyes, dark and piercing, seemed to see through every layer of Naruto's being. "So, you're the one," Jigen said, his voice calm but laced with an unsettling undertone.

Naruto stepped forward slightly, putting himself between his teammates and the stranger. His Jōgan flickered, and he felt an unnatural weight settle on him, as though the man's mere presence was pressing down on his soul. "Who are you, and what do you want?" he demanded, trying to mask his fear with bravado.

Jigen didn't answer immediately, instead tilting his head slightly as if studying Naruto. "You've done well to survive this long," he finally said, his tone almost dismissive. "Most would have crumbled under the strain of what you carry."

Naruto's fists clenched. He didn't know what this man was talking about, but the cryptic words only made him more uneasy. "I'm not going to ask again," he said, his voice rising. "Who are you?"

Jigen's lips curved into a faint smile. "You don't need to know who I am," he replied, stepping closer. His movements were measured, deliberate, each step making the ground beneath him seem heavier. "What matters is that I've chosen you."

Naruto's eyes narrowed, his body tensing as he prepared for a fight. "Chosen me for what?"

Jigen stopped a few paces away, his smile fading as his expression turned cold. "To carry my legacy," he said simply, raising his hand.

Before Naruto could react, Jigen's hand glowed with a dark energy, and a black symbol resembling a Kama mark began to form in mid-air. The geometric patterns twisted and shifted, pulsating with an ominous energy that made Naruto's skin crawl.

"Stay back!" Naruto shouted, his Kessetsugan flaring as he instinctively raised his hands. A burst of chakra surged around him, but Jigen didn't even flinch.

"Your resistance is admirable," Jigen said, his tone almost bored. "But futile."

As he spoke, the weight of his killing intent hit them like a tidal wave. Sayuri and Sakura froze in place, their bodies locking up as the sheer force of Jigen's presence overwhelmed their senses. Both girls gasped, their weapons slipping from their hands as they struggled to move, their minds screaming at them to flee but their bodies refusing to obey.

Naruto's knees buckled under the pressure, but he forced himself to stay standing. His Jōgan burned brighter, its pale glow intensifying as if trying to push back against the oppressive force.

Jigen's smile returned, this time colder. "Let's see how much you can endure, Naruto Uzumaki."

Before Naruto knew it he was sent crashing through several trees disappearing into the forest.

"Apologies for the inconvenience but I have important business with your friend." Jigen said to the two catatonic girls as he disappeared into the forest himself.

Naruto spat blood onto the forest floor, clutching his ribs as his Kessetsugan flared in his right eye, its intricate cerulean knots pulsating with urgency. His left eye burned hotter, the Jōgan's luminous, celestial blue patterns glowing brightly as if sensing the overwhelming danger before him. Across the clearing, Jigen materialized standing calmly, his hands at his sides, exuding an aura of unshakable dominance. The man hadn't even broken a sweat, while Naruto was battered and panting, his muscles screaming in protest.

"You have some fight in you, boy," Jigen remarked, his voice calm but laced with condescension. "But this is a waste of time. You should know by now—your strength is nothing compared to mine."

Naruto wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, ignoring the coppery taste of blood on his tongue. His chakra flared violently, red energy bubbling around him as three tails formed from the Kyuubi's chakra. The air around him grew oppressive, the ground beneath him cracking under the sheer force of his transformation.

"I don't care who you are," Naruto growled, his voice distorted by the Kyuubi's influence. "I'm not going down without a fight."

Naruto charged forward, his Kessetsugan analyzing Jigen's every movement while his chakra chains erupted from his back, lashing toward his opponent. The chains moved with precision, aimed at binding Jigen's arms and legs, but the Otsutsuki vessel barely moved. With a flicker of his hand, the chains passed through empty air as Jigen seemingly vanished, only to reappear a moment later several feet away.

"You're wasting your chakra," Jigen said, raising his hand. A black rod materialized in his grip, and with a casual flick, he hurled it at Naruto.

The rod hurtled toward him faster than he could react. It pierced through his shoulder, pinning him to the ground. Naruto screamed in pain as the Kyuubi's chakra surged around the wound, attempting to heal it, but the rod pulsed with a foreign energy that suppressed his regeneration.

"I told you," Jigen said, stepping closer. "You're not ready."

Gritting his teeth, Naruto ripped the rod out of his shoulder, ignoring the searing pain. His right arm shifted as his Dead Bone Pulse activated, sharp bone blades emerging from his forearm. With a feral yell, he lunged at Jigen, slashing with the bone blades while his chakra chains whipped through the air.

Jigen sidestepped the first slash effortlessly, his movements fluid and precise. He caught one of the chakra chains with his bare hand, yanking Naruto off balance before slamming a knee into his stomach. The force of the blow sent Naruto skidding across the ground, carving a deep trench in the dirt.

"You're persistent," Jigen commented, watching as Naruto forced himself back to his feet, his eyes blazing with defiance. "But persistence without power is meaningless."

Naruto didn't reply. Instead, he thrust his hands forward, releasing a barrage of glowing red chakra chains that tore through the ground like a storm of whips. At the same time, he charged Jigen with bone blades in each hand, his Kessetsugan and Jōgan both glowing fiercely.

Jigen raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the simultaneous attacks. With a faint smirk, he raised his hand, and his body began to shrink. In an instant, he was the size of a small insect, dodging the chains and blades with ease.

"What the—?!" Naruto exclaimed, his Kessetsugan tracking Jigen's movements but struggling to keep up with the rapid shifts in size. He swung wildly, trying to catch the now-tiny figure, but Jigen was already back to his full height, appearing behind Naruto with a black rod in hand.

The rod struck Naruto in the back, sending him crashing into a tree. Before he could recover, Jigen raised his hand again, and more black rods materialized in the air, pinning Naruto's arms and legs to the tree.

"You're not even worth my time," Jigen said, his voice laced with disdain.

Naruto roared as the Kyuubi's chakra erupted around him, the sheer force of his transformation shattering the black rods and disintegrating the tree behind him. The ground trembled as his three tails whipped through the air, his form now cloaked in a bubbling, fiery red aura.

"You don't get to talk about me like that!" Naruto snarled, his voice guttural and filled with rage. He raised his hand, forming a Rasengan infused with the Kyuubi's chakra. The swirling orb of energy crackled with power as he charged Jigen.

Jigen didn't move, his expression one of mild curiosity. As Naruto closed in, he raised a single finger, and the Rasengan suddenly dissipated, the energy dispersing harmlessly into the air.

"What?!" Naruto gasped, stumbling back.

"Your power is impressive," Jigen admitted, lowering his hand. "But you lack control. That's why you'll never defeat me."

Naruto refused to back down. He summoned more chakra chains, launching them in every direction to create a chaotic web of attacks. At the same time, he used his Dead Bone Pulse to create a massive bone spear, hurling it at Jigen with all his strength.

Jigen didn't flinch. He raised his hand, shrinking the spear mid-flight until it was no larger than a splinter. The chakra chains followed, but he flicked his fingers, causing them to dissipate as if they were mere illusions.

"You're outmatched," Jigen said, appearing directly in front of Naruto. He placed a hand on the boy's chest, sending a wave of energy through him that sent him flying backward.

Naruto crashed into the ground, coughing violently as the Kyuubi's chakra flickered around him. His body screamed in protest, but he forced himself to stand, his Kessetsugan and Jōgan both still active.

"I'm not done yet," Naruto growled, his voice barely above a whisper.

"You're persistent," Jigen remarked, his voice carrying a hint of condescension. He held no weapon, yet the air around him felt heavy, oppressive, and charged with unseen power.

Naruto gritted his teeth, his hands clenched tightly into fists. His chakra surged violently, forming the bubbling red cloak of the Kyuubi's energy around him. Six tails of fiery chakra now lashed at the ground behind him, each one radiating overwhelming heat and pressure. His body was cloaked in the familiar, fiery energy that now pulsed with intense purpose.

"Let's see how cocky you are after I take you down," Naruto growled, his voice distorted by the power coursing through him.

Jigen's calm expression didn't waver. "You still don't understand, do you? Power without control is nothing. Come, show me what you think you can do."

Naruto shot forward with explosive speed, his chakra tails whipping violently behind him. His fist, coated in raw Kyuubi chakra, slammed toward Jigen's chest. But just as the punch was about to connect, Jigen vanished.

"What the—?!" Naruto exclaimed, his Jōgan catching a faint shimmer of Jigen shrinking mid-air. His opponent reappeared behind him, his body returning to full size as if he had never left.

Jigen casually flicked his wrist, and black rods materialized in the air around him. He sent them flying toward Naruto at high speed. Naruto's Kessetsugan caught the faint distortion in the air as the rods closed in. He leapt back, dodging most of them, but one grazed his arm, slicing through the Kyuubi's chakra cloak and embedding itself in his forearm.

Naruto growled in pain but didn't falter. With a burst of chakra, he summoned his Dead Bone Pulse, sharp bone blades emerging from his forearms. He swung the blades toward Jigen, but the older man shrank them mid-strike, rendering the attack harmless.

"Is that all?" Jigen taunted, his voice laced with disdain.

Naruto snarled and launched his chakra chains, the golden tendrils erupting from his back with a ferocious energy. They moved like living creatures, aiming to ensnare Jigen. For a moment, Naruto thought he had him as the chains wrapped around Jigen's figure—but the man merely shrank again, slipping through the gaps before returning to full size atop a nearby branch.

"You rely too much on brute force," Jigen commented, his tone calm and measured. "You're trying to overwhelm me, but you fail to understand that you're not fighting a man. You're fighting something far beyond your comprehension."

Naruto didn't reply. Instead, he extended his chains to full length, tearing through the surrounding forest as they pursued Jigen. Trees splintered, the ground trembled, and debris scattered everywhere as Naruto poured every ounce of his chakra into the attack. But Jigen moved with unnerving precision, shrinking objects in his path and dodging with minimal effort.

Naruto growled in frustration. "Stay still, damn it!"

Jigen smirked. "Why should I?"

With a flick of his hand, he summoned more black rods, hurling them toward Naruto with deadly accuracy. This time, Naruto activated his chakra cloak, the six tails intercepting the rods mid-air. The sheer force of the impact caused shockwaves to ripple through the clearing, uprooting trees and sending clouds of dust into the sky.

Naruto landed heavily, panting but determined. His Kessetsugan analyzed Jigen's every movement, while the Jōgan glowed brighter, revealing faint distortions in the space around his opponent. The two dojutsu together allowed Naruto to anticipate Jigen's attacks, but even with this advantage, the man was nearly untouchable.

"I'll show you what I'm really capable of," Naruto declared, summoning more chakra. The ground cracked beneath him as he focused his energy into his palms. His chakra chains surged outward once more, this time glowing with an intense silver hue as he infused them with his unique power. At the same time, his bone blades extended, forming deadly scythe-like weapons.

Jigen raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "So, you're finally getting serious. Let's see how far that gets you."

Naruto charged, using his enhanced speed to close the distance between them. He swung his bone scythes in a wide arc, forcing Jigen to dodge. Simultaneously, his chains closed in from all directions, forming a golden net designed to trap his opponent.

But Jigen remained calm. He shrank the chains and scythes mid-strike, rendering them ineffective before delivering a swift counterattack. He appeared behind Naruto in an instant, driving a black rod into the boy's shoulder.

Naruto howled in pain but retaliated by spinning and slashing with his bone scythe. Jigen sidestepped effortlessly, allowing the blade to pass mere inches from his chest. With a casual backhand, he sent Naruto flying into a nearby boulder, shattering it on impact.

"You're persistent," Jigen said, walking toward Naruto's crumpled form. "But persistence isn't enough to bridge the gap between us."

Naruto pushed himself up, blood dripping from his lips. His six chakra tails lashed the air behind him, and his entire body glowed with the Kyuubi's energy. His blonde hair now seemed to shimmer with the intensity of his chakra, and his eyes burned with unyielding determination.

"I'm not done yet," he growled, his voice echoing with the Kyuubi's power.

The fiery chakra cloak around him intensified, forming the distinctive six-tailed fox-like avatar. The sheer heat emanating from him caused the surrounding area to warp, trees catching fire as the ground beneath him melted into molten slag.

Naruto raised his hand, forming a massive Rasengan infused with the Kyuubi's chakra. The sphere pulsed with raw energy, crackling with power as it grew larger and more unstable.

"This ends now!" Naruto roared, charging at Jigen with everything he had.

Jigen remained unfazed. As Naruto closed in, he raised his hand, shrinking the Rasengan to the size of a marble. The sudden loss of momentum caused Naruto to stumble, leaving him open to Jigen's counterattack.

With a swift motion, Jigen summoned another black rod, driving it into Naruto's abdomen and pinning him to the ground.

"You're strong," Jigen admitted, his voice almost admiring. "But strength alone won't save you."

Despite his injuries, Naruto refused to give up. He grabbed the rod embedded in his abdomen, his chakra chains surging to life once more. With a burst of raw power, he shattered the rod and leapt to his feet, his six tails lashing violently.

Jigen sighed. "You really don't know when to quit, do you?"

The battle raged on, the forest becoming a battlefield of destruction as Naruto and Jigen clashed. Naruto unleashed everything in his arsenal—bone blades, chakra chains, and devastating Rasengan variants—but Jigen countered each attack with minimal effort, his shrinking ability and black rods making him nearly invincible.

The forest, once a dense canopy of life and green, had turned into a wasteland. Smoke rose from the smoldering remnants of trees, the ground fractured and broken by the sheer force of the battle. Naruto, battered and bloodied, crouched low, his six tails of Kyuubi's chakra whipping behind him like a storm. His breath was labored, his body screaming in pain, yet his eyes burned with an unrelenting fire.

The man before him—Jigen—stood untouched, his composure unbroken. He seemed almost bored, as if the sheer devastation Naruto had wrought was nothing more than a child's tantrum. His dark silhouette against the ruined battlefield gave him an almost demonic aura, and the faint glow of his black rods hovering around him only added to his menacing presence.

"Who… what are you?" Naruto growled, his voice a mix of his own and the guttural snarl of the Kyuubi. His Jōgan flared in his left eye, the eerie azure light contrasting sharply with the glowing cerulean knots of his Kessetsugan in his right.

Jigen tilted his head slightly, his expression neutral. "Who am I?" he repeated, his voice calm, almost amused. "You wouldn't understand even if I told you. But what I am… that should be obvious by now."

Naruto clenched his fists, his claws digging into his palms as his frustration grew. This wasn't just any shinobi. No ordinary ninja could have lasted this long against him—especially not when he was wielding six tails of the Kyuubi's power. Not even the Sannin or the Hokage had been said to handle such raw destructive force without serious repercussions.

"You're not normal," Naruto spat, his body trembling as his chakra flared violently. "No shinobi can stand against this… not even a Kage!"

Jigen's lips curled into a faint smile, though it held no warmth. "You're starting to grasp the reality of the situation," he said, his tone almost mocking. "You're fighting something far beyond the petty classifications of your kind. But go ahead, unleash more. Show me the extent of your power."

The words stung like a challenge, and Naruto felt his pride flare. He wasn't about to let this bastard mock him, not when he still had strength left to fight. He took a deep breath, the heat around him intensifying as his chakra surged higher. The ground beneath him began to melt, the fiery energy of the Kyuubi warping everything in its vicinity.

"Fine!" Naruto roared, his voice echoing across the battlefield. "You asked for it!"

With a guttural scream, Naruto pushed himself further, pulling on the reserves of the Kyuubi's chakra. The seventh tail erupted from his back, the chakra cloak around him growing more monstrous. His once-defined form began to blur, the fox-like features becoming more pronounced. His claws extended, his teeth sharpened, and his golden hair shimmered with an almost celestial glow.

The transformation sent a shockwave rippling across the clearing, the sheer pressure of his power causing the few remaining trees to collapse. The air became suffocating, thick with the weight of Naruto's unleashed chakra.

Yet, even as Naruto's power reached new heights, Jigen didn't flinch. He stood unmoving, his expression unreadable, as though the spectacle before him was a mild inconvenience.

Naruto lunged, his speed now nearly impossible to track. The ground beneath him shattered with each step, and the air roared as his chakra claws slashed toward Jigen. But just as before, Jigen simply shrank, his body disappearing into a faint shimmer before reappearing behind Naruto.

"You're wasting your energy," Jigen said calmly, delivering a sharp kick to Naruto's side. The force sent Naruto crashing through a crumbling boulder, his chakra tails flailing wildly as he skidded across the ground.

Naruto coughed, blood spilling from his lips as he forced himself to stand. His body ached, and even with the regenerative properties of the Kyuubi's chakra, the wounds were piling up. Still, his determination burned brighter than ever.

"What the hell are you?!" Naruto shouted, his voice a mix of anger and desperation. "Why won't you go down?!"

Jigen's gaze hardened, and for a moment, there was a flicker of something in his eyes—amusement, perhaps, or pity. "You're asking the wrong questions," he said. "Instead of wondering why I won't fall, you should be asking yourself why you're still fighting a battle you can't win."

Naruto roared in defiance, the seventh tail lashing forward like a whip. Jigen sidestepped the attack with ease, but Naruto was relentless. He summoned his chakra chains, the golden tendrils shooting toward Jigen from all directions. For a brief moment, it seemed like he had Jigen cornered—the chains wrapped around his figure, tightening with immense force.

But then Jigen smirked. "Pathetic," he muttered.

In an instant, the chains slackened, falling to the ground like discarded thread. Naruto's eyes widened as he realized Jigen had shrunk himself once again, slipping free from the trap. Before Naruto could react, Jigen reappeared at full size, his black rods stabbing into the ground around Naruto like a cage.

The rods pulsed with an ominous energy, and Naruto felt his chakra falter. His Kyuubi cloak flickered, the fiery aura dimming as the rods drained his strength.

"You still don't get it," Jigen said, stepping closer. "You rely too much on brute force. All this power, and yet you've accomplished nothing. Power without precision is meaningless."

Naruto gritted his teeth, summoning every ounce of his willpower to break free. His Kessetsugan flared, its cerulean glow intensifying as he focused on the rods. With a roar, he shattered the nearest one, the explosion of energy sending him stumbling backward.

"You talk too much," Naruto growled, his voice a mixture of exhaustion and defiance.

Jigen raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "And you fight too reckless."

Naruto knew he was running out of options. The Kyuubi's chakra was powerful, but it wasn't infinite. The strain of maintaining seven tails was taking its toll, and his body felt like it was on the verge of collapse. But he couldn't give up—not now, not when his friends were depending on him.

"I don't care what you are," Naruto said, his voice steady despite the pain. "I'll keep fighting until I bring you down!"

Jigen sighed, almost as if he were bored. "You're resilient, I'll give you that. But resilience alone won't save you."

With a flick of his wrist, Jigen summoned more black rods, hurling them toward Naruto. This time, Naruto was ready. He activated his chakra chains, using them to deflect the incoming projectiles. At the same time, he formed a massive Rasengan, its swirling energy crackling with the combined power of the Kyuubi and his own chakra.

Jigen watched, unimpressed, as Naruto charged forward. The younger shinobi's movements were erratic, his attacks fueled by desperation rather than strategy.

As Naruto closed the distance, Jigen raised his hand, shrinking the Rasengan mid-strike. The sudden loss of energy caused Naruto to stumble, leaving him vulnerable. Jigen didn't waste the opportunity—he struck with a black rod, pinning Naruto to the ground.

"You've reached your limit," Jigen said, his tone final.

But Naruto refused to give in. Even as the rod sapped his strength, he reached deep within himself, pulling on every ounce of power he had left. The ground trembled as his chakra surged once more, the fiery aura of the Kyuubi blazing brighter than ever.

"I'll never stop," Naruto said through gritted teeth. "Not until you're on the ground!"

Jigen's expression didn't change, but there was a flicker of something in his eyes—a hint of respect, perhaps.

"Then come," he said, his voice calm. "Let's see how far your determination can take you."

The battlefield seemed to tremble under the oppressive weight of Naruto's chakra. His seven tails lashed out like serpents, their fiery energy scorching the ground beneath him. Despite the strain on his body and the immense toll it was taking on his reserves, Naruto pushed forward, his teeth gritted in determination.

This wasn't just a battle anymore—it was a test of will, a clash between the immovable and the unstoppable.

Jigen stood still, his figure a stark contrast to the chaos Naruto was unleashing. He didn't bother to dodge, didn't flinch, and didn't even seem to care that he was facing the raw power of the Kyuubi itself. The black rods hovered around him like an impenetrable shield, ready to intercept any attack.

"You're a persistent one," Jigen remarked, his tone as calm as ever. "But persistence without intelligence is just wasted effort."

Naruto growled low in his throat, the Kyuubi's chakra amplifying his voice into a monstrous snarl. "Shut up! I'm not done yet!"

Naruto's tails flared as he gathered energy into their tips. Each tail began to glow ominously, the chakra coalescing into small, condensed orbs of destructive power. The ground beneath him cracked and splintered, unable to withstand the sheer force of the energy he was channeling.

"Let's see you shrug this off!" Naruto roared, swinging his tails forward.

The mini tailed beast bombs launched in rapid succession, each one tearing through the air with a high-pitched whine. The ground exploded violently as they struck, sending debris flying in all directions. The battlefield became a storm of destruction, the sheer force of the attacks shaking the surrounding area.

Jigen raised an eyebrow, his expression remaining neutral. Just as the first bomb reached him, he shrank it effortlessly, the massive sphere of chakra compressing into a harmless speck before disappearing. He repeated the process with each successive bomb, the once-deadly attacks reduced to nothing in a matter of moments.

Naruto's eyes widened in disbelief. "What the hell?!"

"You're predictable," Jigen said, his voice almost bored. "You rely too much on brute force. Let me show you why that's a mistake."

In a flash, Jigen appeared before Naruto, his black rods stabbing downward. Naruto barely managed to roll out of the way, his tails lashing out instinctively to create distance. The ground where he had stood exploded into a cloud of dust and splinters, but Jigen was already gone, his movements too fast for Naruto to track.

A sharp pain shot through Naruto's side as one of Jigen's rods struck him, sending him skidding across the battlefield. He slammed into a boulder, the impact cracking it in half. Blood trickled down his side, but he forced himself to his feet, his vision blurry and his breathing ragged.

"Dammit," Naruto muttered, his claws digging into the ground for support. "I need a new plan."

Naruto's mind raced as he tried to analyze the situation. So far, brute force had done nothing. Every attack he threw at Jigen was either dodged, countered, or rendered useless by his ability to shrink objects. If he was going to win, he needed to be smarter.

His eyes flicked to the Kessetsugan in his right eye, its cerulean knots glowing faintly. Through its lens, he could see the faint outlines of Jigen's chakra pathways. There was something unusual about them—a strange, almost alien pattern that didn't align with anything Naruto had seen before.

"Alright," Naruto muttered to himself. "If I can't overpower him, I'll outsmart him."

He leapt into the air, using his tails to propel himself higher. From his elevated position, he fired another barrage of mini tailed beast bombs, but this time, they weren't aimed directly at Jigen. Instead, they struck the ground around him, creating a cloud of dust and smoke that obscured the battlefield.

Naruto landed silently, his chakra chains emerging from his back. He sent the chains snaking through the smoke, using them to attack Jigen from multiple angles. At the same time, he formed two shadow clones, each one moving in perfect synchronization with him.

Jigen's voice echoed through the smoke. "Clever. But it won't work."

The chains struck, but Jigen shrank them before they could make contact. One of Naruto's clones lunged from behind, a Rasengan spinning in its hand, but Jigen dispatched it with a single black rod. The second clone tried to attack from above, only to be obliterated by a flick of Jigen's wrist.

Naruto used the distraction to close the distance, his claws glowing with Kyuubi's chakra. He slashed at Jigen's back, aiming for a critical point in his chakra network. But before the attack could land, Jigen vanished, reappearing several feet away.

"You're persistent," Jigen said, his tone carrying a hint of amusement. "But persistence won't change the outcome."

Naruto growled in frustration. His strategy had failed, and the strain of maintaining the Kyuubi's chakra was beginning to show. His breathing was ragged, his vision blurred, and his muscles screamed in protest with every movement.

But he wasn't ready to give up.

"I don't care what you are!" Naruto shouted, his voice echoing across the battlefield. "I'll find a way to bring you down!"

He gathered the last of his strength, channeling the Kyuubi's chakra into his seventh tail. The energy surged around him, his form glowing with an intense, fiery light. His Jōgan flared in his left eye, the eerie azure glow illuminating the battlefield.

The power was overwhelming, but Naruto could feel his body reaching its limit. This was as far as he could push himself. If this didn't work, he had nothing left.

With a final roar, Naruto launched himself at Jigen, his chakra tails striking like whips. The ground shattered beneath him as he moved, his speed almost impossible to track. He unleashed a flurry of attacks, each one more ferocious than the last, but Jigen evaded them all with infuriating ease.

Jigen finally stopped moving, his hand raised as if to signal the end. "You've given me an interesting fight, Naruto," he said, his voice calm. "But this ends now."

Before Naruto could react, Jigen's black rods shot toward him, faster than he could dodge. One by one, they pierced his tails, pinning them to the ground. Naruto roared in pain, his chakra flaring wildly as he struggled against the bindings.

"You fought well," Jigen said, stepping closer. "But it's time to accept reality. You're not ready to face someone like me."

Naruto gritted his teeth, his vision darkening as his strength began to fade. Even as his body screamed in protest, he refused to give in. "I'm… not done yet," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Jigen's expression remained neutral, but there was a flicker of something in his eyes—a hint of respect. "Your determination is admirable," he said. "But determination alone won't save you."

Naruto's breath came in ragged gasps, his body trembling under the strain of maintaining the seven tails. His claws dug into the cracked earth, his chakra chains twitching weakly as his strength waned. The oppressive silence of the battlefield was broken only by the occasional crackle of energy from the rods pinning his tails. Despite his exhaustion, Naruto's Kessetsugan glowed faintly, trying to analyze his enemy, his mind racing to find a solution to this overwhelming foe.

Jigen, however, remained unshaken. He stood as calm and composed as ever, the faint smirk on his face mocking Naruto's futile efforts. With an almost dismissive glance at the pinned and battered boy, he began to levitate, his body rising gracefully into the air.

Naruto's eyes widened in shock. He can fly? The realization hit him like a hammer. What the hell is this guy?

Suspended high above the forest, Jigen looked down at Naruto, his gaze cold and calculating. The air around him began to hum with power, a deep and menacing resonance that sent shivers down Naruto's spine. Jigen raised his palm, and an aura of blinding, vibrant chakra erupted around him. It wasn't just any chakra—it was unlike anything Naruto had ever felt. It was suffocating, its intensity pressing down on the entire battlefield like the weight of a mountain.

"What's wrong, Naruto?" Jigen's voice echoed ominously. "Are you truly the one I've been searching for? Or are you just another failure, like the rest?"

Naruto grit his teeth, his claws digging deeper into the ground. He had no response, no witty retort this time. The sight before him left him speechless. The sheer magnitude of the chakra Jigen was channeling into his palm was incomprehensible. His entire body was illuminated by the radiant energy, the forest below bathed in an eerie, otherworldly light.

"You wanted to prove your strength, didn't you?" Jigen continued, his smirk deepening. "Then survive this. Show me you're worthy of the power you hold."

Naruto's heart raced as he realized what was happening. Jigen wasn't playing anymore. The beam of energy forming in his hand pulsed with unimaginable power, its glow intensifying with every passing second. The sheer scale of it made Naruto's own seven-tailed form feel insignificant in comparison.

"I have to move!" Naruto muttered under his breath, struggling against the rods pinning him in place. His tails thrashed violently, trying to break free, but the rods held firm. His body screamed in protest, the overwhelming exhaustion threatening to pull him into unconsciousness.

But Naruto wasn't about to give up.

He clenched his fists, digging deep into every ounce of energy he had left. His mind reached out, calling on the reserves of the Kyuubi's chakra within him. The response was immediate, a surge of fiery energy coursing through his veins, reigniting his resolve.

"You think I'm just going to sit here and take it?" Naruto growled, his voice raw with determination. "You're going to regret underestimating me!"

With a roar, Naruto forced his body upright, his chakra flaring wildly despite the rods hindering him. His seven tails rose into the air, their tips glowing as they began to channel energy. The air crackled with tension as Naruto concentrated, compressing the combined force of his own chakra and the Kyuubi's into a single, massive tailed beast bomb.

Sweat poured down his face, his muscles straining to their limits as he pushed himself beyond anything he had ever attempted before. The black-and-red sphere of chakra grew larger, its destructive power radiating outward in waves. The ground beneath him buckled and cracked under the sheer force of the energy.

Jigen watched from above, his expression unreadable. The beam of energy in his hand had reached its peak, the light so intense it was almost blinding. "Impressive," he remarked. "But not enough."

Naruto didn't respond. He couldn't afford to. Every ounce of his focus was on the tailed beast bomb in front of him, the energy swirling with violent intensity. He could feel the weight of it, the sheer magnitude of the power he was holding, but he didn't let it intimidate him.

"Bring it on!" Naruto roared, his voice echoing across the battlefield.

Jigen made the first move. With a flick of his wrist, he unleashed the beam of energy, the attack tearing through the air with devastating force. The sheer speed and size of it were overwhelming, a column of destruction aimed directly at Naruto.

Naruto reacted in kind. With a guttural yell, he hurled the tailed beast bomb upward, the massive sphere of energy colliding with Jigen's attack in midair. The impact was immediate and cataclysmic.

The collision sent shockwaves rippling across the forest, the force of the explosion uprooting trees and flattening the surrounding area. A deafening roar filled the air as the two attacks battled for dominance, their energies intertwining in a chaotic dance of destruction. The sky above was illuminated by the clash, the once-dark night now lit with an intense, fiery glow.

Naruto gritted his teeth, his feet digging into the ground as he poured every ounce of his remaining energy into his attack. The strain was unbearable, his body trembling under the pressure, but he refused to back down. "I won't lose!" he shouted, his voice raw with determination.

Jigen, however, remained calm. He hovered above the battlefield, his hand steady as he channeled even more power into his beam. The energy surged forward, slowly but surely overpowering Naruto's tailed beast bomb.

Naruto's eyes widened as he felt his attack being pushed back. "No! I won't let it end like this!"

The tipping point came in an instant. Jigen's beam broke through, consuming the tailed beast bomb and continuing its path toward Naruto. The blond barely had time to react before the explosion engulfed him, the sheer force of it sending him flying backward.

The resulting blast was cataclysmic. The ground quaked violently as a massive shockwave tore through the forest, leveling everything in its path. The sky lit up with a fiery explosion, the sound reverberating for miles. Animals fled in terror, the once-serene forest now a scene of utter devastation.

When the dust finally began to settle, the battlefield was unrecognizable. The trees were gone, replaced by a massive crater that stretched as far as the eye could see. The air was thick with smoke and the acrid smell of burning earth.

Naruto lay at the edge of the crater, his body battered and broken. His seven tails had receded, leaving him in his base form. Blood trickled from multiple wounds, his clothes torn and singed. His breathing was shallow, each inhale a struggle.

Above him, Jigen descended slowly, his movements unhurried. He landed gracefully, his expression as calm as ever. Despite the intensity of the battle, he showed no signs of exhaustion, his presence still as imposing as when he first arrived.

Jigen levitated down gracefully from the sky, his dark form descending like an ominous shadow against the backdrop of the smoldering Forest of Death. The devastation left in the wake of their battle stretched far and wide, with trees flattened, the earth scorched, and the air thick with the scent of burnt chakra. Naruto lay sprawled on the ruined ground, his body battered, his breathing shallow. Yet despite his injuries, his fingers twitched faintly, a sign of his lingering defiance.

As Jigen landed, his sharp eyes narrowed, taking in the boy's condition. A faint smirk played on his lips, though his expression was more calculating than amused. His steps echoed in the silence, each deliberate footfall a testament to his dominance in this fight. He stopped a few feet from Naruto's limp body, his gaze piercing and clinical.

"You've proven yourself worthy," Jigen remarked coldly, his deep voice cutting through the stillness. "Few could push me to exert even a fraction of my power. Fewer still could survive this long against me."

Naruto stirred weakly, his head lifting just enough for his cerulean eyes to glare at Jigen through his bloodied and dirt-streaked face. His defiance, though impressive, was futile.

"You'll make a fine vessel," Jigen continued, his tone a blend of satisfaction and arrogance. "This body of yours… it's remarkable. Not only can it withstand the raw ferocity of the Kyuubi's chakra without a seal, but it has the potential to bear the burden of something far greater."

Naruto's lips moved, but no sound came out. His body, heavy with exhaustion and pain, refused to cooperate.

Jigen crouched beside him, studying the boy as though he were a rare artifact. "You don't understand yet, do you? The truth of what you are, of what you could become? No matter. Soon, you'll serve a purpose far beyond your comprehension."

He extended his hand, dark chakra swirling ominously around his fingers. The air grew thick, vibrating with raw energy as a black, intricate pattern began forming in Jigen's palm—a swirling mass of concentrated power. The Kama mark.

Naruto's eyes widened, his battered body instinctively trying to pull away, but Jigen's killing intent paralyzed him in place. "You should feel honored," Jigen said with a smirk. "You're the first in a millennia to have a body I deem worthy enough for this."

With a sudden, deliberate motion, Jigen thrust his palm onto Naruto's chest. The black chakra surged forward, spreading rapidly like ink spilled on water. The intricate lines of the Kama mark began to crawl across Naruto's skin, spiraling outward with a life of their own. They reached up his neck, across his left side, and even down his arm, burning into his flesh with searing intensity.

Naruto's scream shattered the stillness of the forest. The pain was unbearable, like molten fire coursing through his veins. His body arched, convulsing uncontrollably as the mark embedded itself deeper into his being.

Jigen rose to his feet, watching with a satisfied expression as the mark settled into place. The boy's convulsions began to subside, and the once wild markings grew dormant, leaving behind the distinct black pattern of a successful implant. "It worked," Jigen mused, a rare note of genuine satisfaction in his voice. "Finally, a vessel that didn't reject me. After so long, I've found the key to my resurrection."

But his satisfaction was short-lived.

Without warning, Naruto's body began to spasm violently once more. His screams of agony returned, louder and more visceral than before. The black markings of the Kama mark flared, pulsating erratically as if they were fighting against something unseen.

"What now?" Jigen growled, stepping back instinctively as a sudden burst of invisible chakra erupted from the boy's body, forcing the air around him to ripple. The sheer force of it caught even Jigen off guard, and he had to leap back to avoid being caught in the vortex of chaotic energy.

Naruto's body twisted unnaturally, his skin glowing faintly as cracks began to form across his form. Jigen's eyes narrowed as he watched in disbelief. "No," he muttered. "That's impossible… His body is rejecting the mark? How?"

The chaotic energy intensified, and with a sickening sound, Naruto's human form began to crumble away. His golden hair disintegrated into glowing particles, revealing locks of sky-blue beneath. His tan skin peeled back like ash, giving way to alabaster perfection. The boy's tattered clothes dissolved, leaving behind a sleek, organic-looking outfit that seemed to form naturally from his body. Most striking of all, his face took on an ethereal quality, and two curved, horn-like protrusions emerged from his head, forming a natural crown of power.

Jigen froze, his sharp gaze narrowing as the realization struck him like a thunderbolt. "An Otsutsuki?" he murmured, his voice tinged with both disbelief and anger. "No… it can't be. An Otsutsuki child… here of all places?"

Naruto's transformation continued, his mismatched eyes opening as the chaos in his body reached a fever pitch. The cerulean patterns of his Kessetsugan spread across his form like living veins, intertwining with the flaring black Kama mark. Jigen watched in grim fascination as the cerulean lines clashed with the black markings, the two forces locked in a visible battle for dominance.

Then, to Jigen's astonishment, the Kessetsugan began to suppress the raging Kama. The black markings slowed their advance, their chaotic pulses growing weaker with each passing moment. Naruto's screams of agony lessened, his convulsions subsiding as the Kessetsugan's cerulean glow enveloped his body.

Steam hissed from the black markings as they began to fade, the intense heat evaporating into the air. The once-dark lines turned a ghostly white before vanishing completely, leaving behind a faint trace that seemed to integrate seamlessly into Naruto's alabaster skin.

Jigen's eyes widened as Naruto's left eye—previously a Byakugan—began to morph. It shimmered briefly, transforming into a glowing Jogan, then shifted into a fierce orange Rinnegan. The evolution didn't stop there; the eye changed again, becoming a Kokugan, Isshiki's own signature Dojutsu, before finally reverting to its original state, a pure Byakugan. The cerulean glow of the Kessetsugan faded, leaving his right eye its familiar pupiled blue.

Naruto collapsed to the ground, unconscious but alive. His breathing was shallow, his body utterly spent from the ordeal.

Jigen stepped closer, his earlier anger replaced by intrigue. He stared down at the boy, studying the faint traces of the Karma that had been overwritten by the strange power of the Kessetsugan. "You're no ordinary Otsutsuki," Jigen muttered. "How is it possible that you're here, so far from our home? And why… why are you disguised as a human child?"

He crouched beside the boy, his mind racing with possibilities. "You don't even realize what you are, do you?" he murmured, brushing his fingers over the boy's horned headband. "A child of the Otsutsuki… stranded on this primitive planet, hiding in the guise of these… humans."

For a brief moment, Jigen considered taking the boy with him. "I could feed you to the Juubi," he mused, his tone contemplative. "Your sacrifice would ripen the tree and produce a fruit of unimaginable power. But…" He frowned, his expression darkening. "This vessel of mine is too weak. If I consumed such a fruit in this state, it would destroy me."

He straightened, looking down at the unconscious boy with a mixture of frustration and grudging respect. "You're lucky," he spat. "I'll let you live, not out of mercy, but because your survival benefits me. Grow stronger, boy. Let the power I've given you—Isshiki's power—fester within you. Ripen yourself into the perfect sacrifice."

Jigen turned, his cloak billowing as he began to walk away. "When the time comes, you will fall, Otsutsuki child," he called over his shoulder. "And I will reap the fruit of your existence."

With a final glance at the boy, Jigen vanished into a swirling portal, leaving behind a battered, unconscious Naruto and a forest scarred by their battle.

The mindscape was vast, stretching endlessly in all directions like a boundless void. Naruto stood in the center of this emptiness, his body feeling light and ungrounded, as though he were suspended between reality and a dream. He was exhausted, bruised, and battered from his confrontation with Jigen, yet here he was, surrounded by a strange, otherworldly silence that both calmed and unsettled him.

"Where… am I?" he muttered, his voice echoing endlessly in the void. The question wasn't directed at anyone in particular—he wasn't even sure anyone else could hear him. But just as he began to think he was truly alone, the space around him shimmered, light rippling across the void like sunlight on water.

Two figures emerged from the rippling light, their forms ethereal yet unmistakably imposing. They radiated an aura of power and authority that made the hairs on the back of Naruto's neck stand on end. The first was a tall man with sky-blue hair that cascaded down his back like a waterfall. His alabaster skin glowed faintly in the dim light, and his Byakugan eyes seemed to pierce through the very fabric of the mindscape. Beside him stood a woman, equally regal, with matching blue hair tied elegantly behind her. Her presence was no less commanding, but there was a softness to her gaze, a warmth that contrasted with the sharp intensity of the man's.

Naruto instinctively took a step back, his fists clenching as his instincts screamed at him to stay on guard. "Who the hell are you two?" he demanded, his voice sharper than he intended. His eyes darted between the two strangers, his muscles tense and ready for a fight. "If you're here to mess with me, I'm warning you—I'm not in the mood."

The man and woman exchanged a brief glance before the woman, Hikari, stepped forward. Her voice was soft, almost melodic. "Naruto… you don't need to be afraid. We're not here to harm you."

Naruto's scowl deepened, his cerulean eyes narrowing. "Yeah? That's what people usually say right before they try to kill me." He pointed an accusatory finger at them. "Start talking. Who are you? What is this place?"

The man, Ichiro, spoke next. His voice was deep and commanding, carrying an air of authority that demanded attention. "This is your mindscape, Naruto. A place where your consciousness can connect with forces beyond your understanding."

"My mindscape?" Naruto repeated, his skepticism evident. His hands twitched at his sides as he prepared for an attack. "So what, you're just figments of my imagination? Some kind of weird hallucination?"

"We are your parents," Ichiro said bluntly, his piercing gaze locked onto Naruto's. "Your true parents."

Naruto froze. For a moment, his mind seemed to short-circuit, the weight of those words crashing down on him like a tidal wave. Then, just as quickly, he snapped out of it, his fists tightening. "Bullshit," he spat, his voice laced with venom. "My parents are dead. The Fourth Hokage and Kushina Uzumaki—they're the ones who gave their lives to protect me. You're lying."

Hikari flinched at the bitterness in his tone, her expression pained, but Ichiro remained stoic. "They were your caretakers," he said calmly, though his words carried a certain weight. "They loved you as their own, and we are grateful for the life they gave you. But they were not the ones who brought you into this world."

Naruto's laugh was sharp and humorless. "You expect me to believe that? Some random strangers show up in my head and tell me I've been living a lie? Yeah, no thanks."

"You have every right to be suspicious," Hikari said gently, stepping closer. Her eyes, though firm, held a softness that made Naruto falter for a moment. "After everything you've been through, we don't blame you for doubting us. But we're not here to deceive you, Naruto. We're here because you've finally awakened the power that ties you to us, to your true heritage."

"Heritage?" Naruto echoed, his voice dripping with disbelief. He took another step back, shaking his head. "You're not making any sense! Stop talking in riddles and just tell me what you want!"

Ichiro's expression hardened, though not with anger. "You deserve the truth," he said firmly. "The truth about who you are, about where you came from."

"And what's that supposed to mean?" Naruto shot back, his voice rising. His heart pounded in his chest, his mind racing with a mixture of anger, confusion, and a hint of fear he refused to acknowledge. "What are you trying to say?"

Ichiro's gaze bore into him, unyielding. Then, with deliberate slowness, he said, "You are an Otsutsuki, Naruto. Just as we are."

The words hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. Naruto stared at them, his breath caught in his throat. For a moment, it felt as though the entire world had stopped spinning.

"An… Otsutsuki?" he whispered, the unfamiliar word tasting foreign on his tongue. "What… what the hell is that supposed to mean?"

As if in response to his disbelief, Naruto's body began to change. A soft, glowing light enveloped him, and he staggered back, clutching his chest. His golden hair faded, replaced by the sky-blue locks of his childhood form. His skin grew paler, his whisker marks vanishing as his features sharpened, taking on an otherworldly elegance. Finally, two curved, horn-like protrusions emerged from his head, completing the transformation.

Naruto stumbled, his hands trembling as he looked down at himself. "What… what's happening to me?" he gasped, his voice a mixture of fear and awe.

"This is your true form," Hikari said softly, her eyes glistening with emotion. "The form you were born with, before your Kessetsugan created the human shell that allowed you to blend into this world."

"Shell?" Naruto repeated, his voice breaking. He clenched his fists, his breathing ragged. "No… this isn't real. This can't be real. I'm just… I'm just Naruto Uzumaki! I'm not… I'm not… whatever this is!"

"You are both," Ichiro said firmly. "You are Naruto Uzumaki, the child of Minato and Kushina in spirit. But you are also Naruto Otsutsuki, the son of Ichiro and Hikari, born of a line that stretches across dimensions."

Naruto shook his head violently, his mind reeling. "No! This is some kind of trick! Some kind of genjutsu! You're lying!"

Hikari stepped forward, her voice trembling as she reached out to him. "Naruto, please—"

"Don't touch me!" Naruto yelled, his voice raw with emotion. He stumbled back, his body still glowing faintly. "I don't know who you are, or what you want, but I'm not going to listen to this! I've had enough of people lying to me, trying to control me! I don't believe you!"

The void seemed to echo his words, the stillness amplifying his cries. Ichiro and Hikari exchanged a glance, their expressions heavy with sorrow. They had expected this reaction, but it didn't make the pain any less real.

"Naruto," Ichiro said finally, his voice steady despite the tension in the air. "We're not here to control you. We're here to help you understand. The path you've walked has been painful, and we can't undo that. But you deserve to know the truth, even if it takes time for you to accept it."

Naruto's breathing slowed, though his chest still heaved with emotion. He stared at them, his mind a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts. Finally, he lowered his gaze, his voice barely above a whisper. "If… if you're really my parents, then why? Why did you leave me? Why did you send me to this place?"

Hikari's eyes filled with tears as she stepped closer. "Because we had no choice," she said, her voice breaking. "We did it to save you, Naruto. To give you a chance at a life free from the destruction that surrounded us."

Ichiro placed a hand on Hikari's shoulder, his gaze softening as he looked at Naruto. "You don't have to believe us now," he said. "But know this: we have always loved you. And we always will."

Naruto's fists clenched at his sides, his emotions a chaotic storm. He wanted to yell, to fight, to deny everything they were saying. But a small part of him—the part that had always longed for answers, for connection—kept him rooted in place.

The silence in Naruto's mindscape was heavy, the kind that pressed down on him like a physical weight. He stood frozen, his true Otsutsuki form still shimmering faintly, though he wished desperately to shed it. Across from him, Ichiro and Hikari waited patiently, their expressions a mix of sadness and quiet resolve.

Finally, it was Hikari who broke the silence. Her voice was soft, almost hesitant, as if she feared saying too much too soon. "Naruto… there's so much you don't know, so much we've kept hidden from you to protect you."

Ichiro stepped forward, his gaze sharp and direct. "It's time you learned the truth, Naruto. About us, about you, and about the danger you now face."

Naruto's jaw tightened, his fists clenching at his sides. "You better start talking," he muttered, his voice low and laced with distrust. "Because right now, I don't trust a word you're saying."

Hikari took a deep breath, her Byakugan glowing faintly as she looked at him. "We are Otsutsuki," she began. "A clan older than you can imagine, originating from a distant dimension far removed from this one. Our people have lived for eons, moving from planet to planet, consuming the life energy of entire worlds to sustain our power and ensure our immortality."

Naruto's eyes widened, his breath catching in his throat. "You… you destroy worlds?"

"Most of us do," Ichiro admitted, his voice hard. "But not all. Hikari and I… we rejected that way of life. We couldn't bear the thought of destroying innocent lives for our gain. That choice… made us enemies of our own people."

Hikari's expression softened as she stepped closer, her hands clasped in front of her. "When we turned against the clan, we knew it was only a matter of time before they came for us. But by then, you had already been born." Her voice broke slightly, and she took a moment to compose herself. "You were our greatest joy, Naruto. Our hope for a better future. But the clan would never have allowed you to live. To them, you were a threat—a child born of rebellion."

Naruto's head spun as he tried to process their words. "So… you sent me here? To Earth?"

Ichiro nodded. "This world was hidden, untouched by our clan's influence. We believed you would be safe here, that you could grow up free from their reach."

"But why?" Naruto asked, his voice rising. "Why leave me behind? Why not fight for me?"

Hikari's eyes filled with tears, her voice trembling as she replied, "Because we knew we wouldn't survive. The clan's power is overwhelming, Naruto. We could only hold them off for so long. If we kept you with us, they would have found you. And they would have killed you."

Naruto looked away, his heart pounding in his chest. He wanted to be angry, to yell at them for abandoning him, but a part of him couldn't help but feel the weight of their sacrifice. Still, their words didn't answer everything.

"That guy… Jigen," he said finally, his voice barely above a whisper. "Who was he? What did he do to me?"

Ichiro's expression darkened at the mention of the name. "Jigen is not his true identity," he said. "The one who attacked you is a vessel for Isshiki Otsutsuki, one of the most dangerous members of our clan. Isshiki seeks to revive himself fully, to reclaim his power and continue the cycle of destruction our people have perpetuated for millennia."

Naruto's fists tightened. "What does that have to do with me?"

"Isshiki has been searching for a suitable vessel for centuries," Hikari explained. "Your body's ability to handle the Kyuubi's chakra without being a true Jinchuriki… it must have drawn his attention. He believed your body could withstand his power, that you would be the perfect vessel for him to fully manifest in this world."

Naruto's mind flashed back to the searing pain of the Kama mark spreading across his body, the way it felt as though his very soul were being burned away. He shuddered. "So… that mark he put on me. The Kama…"

"It is a seal," Ichiro said grimly. "A fragment of Isshiki's essence, implanted into your body. Over time, it would have grown, consuming you from the inside out until there was nothing left of you—only Isshiki in your place."

"But it didn't work," Naruto said, his voice shaking. "Why didn't it work?"

Hikari smiled faintly, her gaze soft. "Because you are not an ordinary being, Naruto. You are an Otsutsuki. Your Kessetsugan—the dojutsu you inherited from us—recognized the foreign nature of the Kama and fought back. It prevented the mark from taking over, altering its structure and nullifying its influence. That's why the mark turned white and disappeared into your body."

Naruto stared at them, his mind racing. "So… I'm not human. I'm not even like the people in this village. I'm… I'm one of you."

"You are both," Ichiro said firmly. "You are Otsutsuki by birth, but your life on this planet, with Minato and Kushina, has shaped who you are. That part of you is just as real, just as important, as the blood you carry."

Naruto's legs felt weak, and he sank to his knees, his head in his hands. "This… this is too much," he muttered. "All my life, I've been lied to. The villagers hate me, Hiruzen used me, Danzo turned me into a weapon. And now you're telling me I'm not even… me."

Hikari knelt beside him, her hand hovering hesitantly over his shoulder. "Naruto," she said softly, "we never meant for you to feel this way. We wanted you to have a life of peace, to grow up without the weight of the clan's darkness. But the path you've walked… it's made you stronger. It's made you who you are."

Naruto looked up at her, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I don't know who I am anymore," he whispered. "Am I Naruto Uzumaki? Am I an Otsutsuki? I don't even know what to believe."

"You are both," Ichiro repeated, his voice unwavering. "You are a bridge between two worlds, Naruto. And though you may not see it now, that makes you stronger than you realize."

Naruto's gaze dropped to the ground, his thoughts swirling in a chaotic storm. He didn't know what to think, what to feel. The truth they had given him was overwhelming, shattering the foundation of everything he thought he knew. But as much as he wanted to reject it, a small part of him couldn't deny the connection he felt—the strange, inexplicable bond that seemed to tie him to these two beings who claimed to be his parents.

For now, he didn't have the strength to accept it fully. But somewhere deep inside, a spark of curiosity flickered, a faint ember that promised he would one day seek the answers he needed. For now, though, he could only sit in the silence, letting their words sink into the fractured pieces of his mind.

Disclaimer:

Naruto is a natural born full blooded Otsutsuki.

1)Just to be clear Naruto has not become human. His human Naruto Uzumaki form is merely a result of an Advanced Transformation Jutsu (created from Minato, Kushina & the Kyuubi's chakra) by his Kessetsugan to blend in with the local inhabitants of Earth while at the same time be strong & stable enough to hold an Otsutsuki.

2)Yes Jigen/Isshiki has inadvertently given Naruto his power (Naruto absorbing Isshiki's karma mark). But said power & abilities will take time & maturity to properly manifest.
