Here we are with the new chapter and I'm glad about how the last one did. Thank you all for the support for the story. I appreciate it and I'm looking forward to what else I have in store for you all. I'm also glad to have gotten more chances to work on my stories. And getting the chapters done as well.

I'm also glad to be getting back into my stories again. The last few months were kind of difficult for me to get any work done. But thankfully, back with them and looking forward to how this chapter will go. And get to the end.

Now, last time, we saw the introduction of Rey into the story. Working as a salvager for Monarch and their outpost on Jakku. The planet has been taken over by Heiwa after the Battle of Jakku 5 ABY and is being used as a Monarch base. Clearly, they found something that has been dormant in the planet.

We also saw the introduction of Hideo. He is connected to one of the main characters from the first story. What role is he going to play? What role is Rey going to play that is differently than the trilogy films? And what kind of monster is hidden within Jakku itself?

Chapter III

Inner Rim

Up to the planet's surface, there appears to be a large Heiwan ship. Only one military ship that is on patrol. Hovering over the planet's surface, while transport ships are heading down towards Monarch's science bases. The admiral is tasked to ensure no enemy ships come by to attack them. And making sure no one tries landing on any of Monarch's bases.

An X-Wing appeared out of hyperspace and is seen flying towards the planet. However, they had to hold off on getting to the planet's surface as they had to get in touch with the admiral's ship.

"This is Commander Poe Dameron of the New Republic Resistance. I am requesting permission to land in Monarch science outpost 61, over," said Poe Dameron, a human pilot who joined the New Republic Defense Fleet, where he rose up in the ranks and became one of their best pilots.

"One moment, Commander Dameron while we scan your ship and gain your clearance codes that you were given by General Organa," said a female voice speaking to Poe through the ship's com-link.

"Roger that. BB-8, please give the nice lady those clearance codes, please," said Poe as he spoke to his astromech droid, BB-8, part of the BB-series astromech droids that had been built in 29 ABY.

BB-8 is seen in the socket behind the cockpit of the X-Wing, where astromech droids are placed to help with navigation, maintenance, repairs, and piloting assistance. BB-8 begins responding through droid beeps and whistles as he sends the code towards the base down below.

"One moment, sir while we confirm the codes," said the lady as she begins checking to see if the codes are the one General Organa was given.

"Understood," said Poe as he leaned back against his seat, while BB-8 begins speaking to him about their situation. "Don't worry, BB-8. I'm sure the general gave us the right code. We just got to wait."

As they wait for the code to be confirmed, Poe looked over to see a few transport ships heading down towards the planet. This made Poe think about what's happening, while wondering about something that was on his mind.

"Monarch is supposed to be an independent science group…so why is there a Heiwa military ship here?" Poe asked wondering why Heiwa is involved with Monarch.

BB-8 begins responding to his question, believing the rumors that they heard about Heiwa had founded Monarch and are pretending they're independent.

Poe chuckled softly as he heard the rumors too. "I'm not doubting it, but General Organa doesn't believe it and feels this is a rumor the First Order spread. Trying to divide us against each other."

Poe knew the rumors about Monarch doing illegal experiments and hiding secrets from the galaxy had spread to every part of the galaxy. Even Heiwa is aware of them and are covering up for them. But General Organa believes the First Order is doing this to distract the galaxy. And keep their focus off the activities of the First Order.

"Let's just do what we came here to do and then leave," said Poe who knew they didn't have much time and from the looks of it, Heiwa knows it too.

After about a minute of clarification on the codes, the woman began to respond to Poe. "Welcome to Monarch science outpost 61, Commander Dameron. Please head towards the hanger bay by following the map provided to you."

BB-8 downloads the map and begins showing it on the display for Poe to follow. "Thank you very much, ma'am. Hang on, BB-8, we're coming in for a landing."

Poe begins flying the ship down towards the surface as the droid beeped loudly from how fast his partner was flying. Poe knew he was on borrowed time, so he needed to get to the base fast, get the information, and then return to General Organa. So, flying fast was to be expected from him.

Poe flew his X-Wing down to the surface as the sun was beginning to set. He flew towards what looked like a small village, but he knew Heiwa didn't always make their bases be visible. He followed the map as it led him towards a large sand dune that was close to the village. Suddenly, the sand began to fall down the dune as a large gate began to appear.

The gate began to open slowly, which wasn't good for Poe since he was coming in fast. He pulled the stick back, causing them to fly upwards. Missing the gate as the people from the village nearby witnessed the X-Wing's flying. Poe soon has his ship flying back towards the direction they came from, before he moved his ship down and then leveled out to get back on the path they were on earlier.

This time, the gate was finally opened, and Poe began to slow his ship down. Thankfully, he had enough time to do this as the ship was able to enter the hanger without crashing into anything. The X-Wing begins to make a safe landing as a crew of maintenance workers were seen standing nearby. Watching the ship land before them without any problems.

Once the ship powered down, Poe begins to exit his ship while BB-8 was lowered down from where he was kept to the floor safely. Poe sees some of the workers bringing in a ladder for him so he can climb down safely. Poe looked around and got a good look at the workers. Seeing they were all from different races across the galaxy.

He saw some humans, Twi'lek, Zabrak, Nautolan, and Rodian. It didn't surprise him though, since Heiwa was known to invite all races to live within their systems, even in worlds that they've colonized.

"Welcome to Monarch Outpost 61, Commander Poe," said a woman who appeared to be in her late 20s, with short brunette hair, brown eyes, and fair skin. She appears to be wearing a science lab coat with a white buttoned shirt, white pants, and boots. "I am Doctor Momoko Serizawa. But you can call me Momo."

"It's nice to meet you, Momo. My name is Poe Dameron," said Poe as he introduced himself before turning to his droid friend. "And this is BB-8."

Momo giggled as she kneeled in front of the droid, who spoke to her in his language. Momo pets the droid's head in a loving manner, which seemed to make the droid happy.

"He's so cute. But looks can be deceiving I'm sure," said Momo who knew better than to underestimate the droid's capabilities. "I've heard these new BB-series astromech droid. They're more advanced than the old astromech droids and much easier to sneak around."

"Yes, he is and the best partner to have in a fight," said Poe as he begins to clear his throat and tries to get back to business.

"By the way, thank you so much for letting me land here," said Poe as he greets the other, while shaking her hand as he looked around the hanger. "I know you guys have been very restricted on having anyone from the Resistance and New Republic land here."

"Well, there is a good reason for that," said Momo as she begins leading the other out of the hanger and towards an elevator. "After the Galactic Civil War, the New Republic welcomed former Imperial officers to join them, leading to their attempt to help bring the Empire back from the ashes, and almost helped Thrawn take over the galaxy."

"I remember that," said Poe who recalled the stories about how the New Republic, despite its attempt to bring peace, made a lot of mistakes early on, and almost cost the galaxy everything the Rebellion worked so hard to fight for. "I assumed you were worried about our enemies gaining any knowledge of what you're all doing here."

"Exactly," said Momo as she the elevator began to go down. "For years, the Empire had tried everything they could to steal our tech and our secrets to use them to maintain their grip on the galaxy. We've worked hard to prevent this and make sure the Empire don't succeed."

"And we appreciate all the help your people have provided to the Rebellion during the war. While also providing us help during the early days of the New Republic," said Poe who knew without the help from Heiwa, rebuilding the galaxy was going to take a long time.

"Just like we appreciate you housing many of our allies, including Lor San Tekka…how is he?" Poe asked wondering how the man he came to see is doing.

"He's doing well and has what you came for. It appears to be a fragment of a map that will help lead you towards the location of Luke Skywalker," said Momo as she stopped the elevator, halfway towards their destination, as she turned to Poe to show him an image of the map. "While it is a fragment, we believe the rest must be hidden within Luke's former astromech droid, R2-D2."

"You suspect? How do you know this?" Poe asked as he looked at the image and knew it didn't provide much, but it was a start.

"Because we doubt Luke would have left his droid in the care of his sister unless he left something to help them find him in case things get bad," said Momo as she presses the button to have the elevator start going down. "And believe me, things are going to get bad."

"What do you mean? What do you know? And if you all had this information, why didn't you send it out to General Organa?" Poe asked wondering why Heiwa was keeping such secrets, especially important ones that could help them be prepared.

The doors opened and soon they walked out into a large white hallway, where Momo began leading Poe to where Tekka is being kept.

"We received a transmission from some of our spies within the First Order. They told us several of our lead scientists had seceded to the enemy's side, including my brother, Shun Serizawa. He, like our brother Ryu, and me, has in dept information about all the science bases in the galaxy. Bases that have been attacked by the First Order over the last 9 months," said Momo as she shows a hologram of the different bases that have been attacked.

"Why would the First Order do this though? I would have expected them to attack your military posts, unless you're hiding some sort of super weapons here…or am I wrong?" Poe asked who seemed confused by the aggression they've shown to attacking these bases, unless they're hiding something.

Momo stopped walking and looked to see Poe's question sounded more like the kinds of questions they've been receiving from the politicians within the New Republic. They suspect they're hiding something and have been trying to probe them, which always ended in arguments, and yelling.

Poe turned to Momo when he saw her stop walking and realize what he was doing. "Look, I'm sorry for saying that, but it's just…I know there's a good reason for the secrecy, but we've been allies for so long and we've worked hard to gain your trust. I just wish you'd be more open with us about what you're really hiding. Considering how much security you've put into these places."

Momo understood Poe's reason for what he's doing but also knew there's a good reason why they've been keeping their secrets. But given with what they're dealing with, perhaps it would be best to entrust their secrets with others…at least bit by bit.

"Let's first get you what you need and then I will tell you everything. On condition you don't tell anyone about this until we're ready. How does that sound?" Momo asked, hoping Poe will give them the courtesy of waiting until they're done.

Poe knew it was better than nothing at this point, and General Organa wouldn't have sent him if she didn't think he could keep a secret.

"I suppose that's fair," said Poe as he saw some people passing by carrying some files. "Are you guys moving somewhere?"

Momo sighed in response before she nodded. "Remember earlier I mentioned the First Order attacking our bases and knowing where they're at?"

Poe soon begins putting it together and realizes what she means. "How long?"

"An hour," said Momo as she revealed the time they have before they're attacked. "We're hoping to finish up here before their arrival. That's why we need to get you what you need and get out."

Momo also answered Poe's question from earlier revealing the First Order found a way to hack into their signals. Meaning if they try sending the map fragment to General Organa, then it's likely they'd get it too.

"Hence the reason why I came here. You want me to take it to her in person," said Poe who now understands Momo's reason for him being here. "Will we be able to get the villagers nearby away in time?"

"We will," said the voice of a young man catching the attention of Poe, Momo, and BB-8. "That's why we need to work fast on getting you the information and get out."

"Poe, I want you to meet, Captain Hideo Yamagata. Head of our security force here," said Momo as she introduces Poe to Hideo and Hideo to Poe. "Hideo, this is Commander Poe Dameron and his astromech, BB-8."

Hideo appeared to be in his early 20s with short black hair, blue eyes, light brown skin, and a scar along down his right eye.

"Nice to meet you," said Poe as he shook Hideo's hand; while also realizing he's heard the last name before. "Your last name sounds familiar…are you related to a Sakura Yamagata?"

"My cousin, yeah. I heard she left to join the Resistance a year ago. Is she staying out of trouble?" Hideo asked.

"Only when I'm around," said Poe as the two men chuckled.

"I'm glad to hear that and glad to know she's doing okay," said Hideo before hearing Momo clearing her throat. "Oh right, um, yes. We received a report that the First Order is heading this way. At least one destroyer. We're already working on getting everyone off-world, but we're falling a little bit behind."

"Behind?" Poe looked around to see the place already looks half-empty. "I don't know about you, but it looks like you guys will be out of here long before they get here."

"That would be true, if it wasn't for…the other thing Doctor Momo is trying to get out of here," said Hideo as he turned to Momo wondering if she told Poe yet.

"I'm working on it. In the meantime, we're going to go see Lor San Tekka. Is he in his room?" Momo asked as they prepared to turn to the hallway where Tekka's room is at.

"Actually…" Hideo grabbed Momo's hand and cleared his throat. "He's in the room with Sleeping Beauty."

Momo stood there looking shocked and began cursing in her language at Hideo, before speaking normally. "Hideo! Why did you let him in? You know it's too dangerous."

"Relax. She's nowhere near waking up. So, we're all…" suddenly the facility began to shake, causing the lights to flicker. They soon heard the sound of a loud screech, followed by a faint growl. "Okay, maybe I was mistaken."

Momo begins running off down the hallway, with Poe, BB-8, and Hideo running behind her. "What the hell was that?!" Poe asked wondering what just happened. "What made that noise? And who the hell is Sleeping Beauty?"

"Well, let's just say, Monarch isn't exactly what we've claimed to be," said Hideo as he tried to explain what's going on. "As for Sleeping Beauty, that's just a place holder name some of the guards made. But don't worry, you'll meet her soon enough."

They soon arrived at a doorway, where Momo types in a code and enter a large lab. Poe sees a lot of scientists working on their computers and appears to be panicking.

"What the hell happened?" Momo asked one of her scientists as they walked up to her.

"We have no idea. She was sleeping like a baby until a few minutes ago and then boom! Her radiation levels went through the roof. Almost like something triggered it," said the scientist as he explained what occurred.

"Well shit, that's not good," said Momo as she begins whistling to the rest of the group to get their attention. "Okay people! Calm down! Focus! We've prepared for this moment, and we can't afford to run around panicking. We need to focus."

The scientists all begin to calm themselves and begin focusing on their work. Momo begins directing some of the team to make sure the containment systems are still operational. While she contacts the ship to prepare for takeoff once they're ready. As they did this, Poe looked around confused on what's happening before noticing a man standing in front of a large glass window before them.

Poe begins walking over when he recognized the man and realized who it is. "Lor San Tekka? Is that you?"

The man turned to face Poe, revealed to be the man he's been looking for. "I am. I am Lor San Tekka, parishioner of the Church of the Force. And you must be Poe Dameron. The one General Organa had sent."

"I am and it's an honor to meet you, sir," said Poe as he greets the elderly man.

"The honor is mine," said Tekka as the room began to shake away.

"What the hell is that?" Poe asked wondering what is causing the place to shake."

"Sleeping Beauty herself," said Tekka as he begins pointing towards the glass and show what is beyond it.

Poe turned to where the elderly man is pointing and his eyes soon widened in shock. Inside the room, there appears to be a large chamber. Surrounded by stone walls that have markings of a group of people worshipping what appears to be a large moth-like creature. In the center of the chamber, appears to be a large glowing cocoon.

Letting out steam from its shell as it began pulsating. A containment team is sent in to ensure everything goes well, while what appears to be a shield barrier is activated to surround the chamber.

"What is that?" Poe asked wondering what the hell he's seeing.

"Remember what I mentioned earlier?" Hideo asked as he walked over to Poe. "Monarch isn't a science organization dedicated with restoring lost worlds and creating medication for the galaxy. We're actually an organization that's tasked with studying and containing creatures like the one before you."

"Creatures? Like monsters?" Poe asked as he looked a little concerned.

"Monsters to you, but to us, they're much more than that," said Tekka as he turned to the creature before them, admiring her beauty. "And she is finally awakening after millions of years."

"Sedatives aren't working ma'am. What do we do?" one of the scientists asked Momo as the pulsating energy is intensifying.

Momo looked over to see Hideo, Poe, and Lor San Tekka looking out the window, before she turned to her scientist. "If she wants to be born, let her. Just be ready if anything goes wrong."

Soon the cocoon began to grow and began to take shape. Until finally, it transformed into a large 50ft larva with multiple insect legs and covered in what looked like silk around its body. The scientists in the room looked at in awe in what they're witnessing. As did Poe, who has never seen anything like this before.

Lor San Tekka began to laugh when he saw the creature emerge. Admiring her beauty and grace to all.

"Meet Titanus Mosura," said Tekka as he introduces Poe to the creature. "Or as the people around here call her…Mothra."

The creature begins releasing small chirp-like noises that appear calm and peaceful. Momo begins walking over as Mothra appears to look around at its surroundings. Taking in where she has emerged. While the containment team backed off to show no sign of aggression.

"She's beautiful," said Momo as she walked up and stood next to Hideo. "She's absolutely perfect."

"Yes, she is…want to meet her?" Hideo asked.

Momo turned to Hideo before she began to nod in response. "You think you can keep her calm for me to touch her?"

"I think I can keep her calm long enough to convince her to trust us," said Hideo before he turned to Poe and Tekka. "Excuse us for a moment. We'll be right back."

"Hold on. You two aren't going to go in there, right?" Poe asked, who seemed shocked with the decision from the pair.

"We'll be okay. We're not going to hurt her," said Hideo as he leads Momo to the containment room to get into their suits.

"Not exactly who I'm worried about," said Poe as he turned to the creature. "This is what Monarch has been hiding? Some large worm monster?"

"One of many, Poe. One of many that used to inhabit worlds such as Jakku. Before they went into dormant and now have begun slowly waking up," said Tekka as he explained everything to Poe. "The Jedi long ago knew about their existence. Of course, this was the old Jedi Order that existed thousands of years ago."

"They knew about these things for so long? What are they exactly?" Poe asked who had so many questions and was still confused by all of this.

"Long ago, when the worlds were formed, high-level of radiation existed on the planet surface. Harmful to organisms like us, but to creatures like Mothra…they fed off of it," said Tekka as he watched Hideo and Momo begin to enter the chamber in containment suits. "They grew and became powerful thanks to it. To the point that they ruled over their worlds."

Poe listened carefully to what Lor San Tekka is telling him but is more concerned about the parts where these creatures grew big, powerful, and ruled over their worlds. Meaning there are others like this one outside of Jakku.

All the while, Hideo and Momo motioned for the containment team to move back, while they approached the creature. Mothra looked over at the two humans approaching her, with Hideo moving his right hand up, appearing to try calming her down.

"Relax, Poe. She is not going to harm them," said Tekka as he tried to reassure Poe it's all going to be okay. "Despite their appearances, there are those like Mothra who are peaceful. Who rule of their respective worlds as the planet's alpha. They are the ones that have helped maintain peace on their worlds and keep the other creatures in check."

"H-How do you know all about this?" Poe asked, wondering how Tekka is so sure about all of this. "Did Monarch tell you all about this?"

"Not just them. But Luke did as well," said Tekka causing Poe to turn to him in shock. "That's right. Luke knew all about the Titans."

"The Titans?" Poe asked as he turned to Mothra. "That's what they're called?"

"Seems kind appropriate when you think about it," said Tekka as he begins taking out something that's contained in a small pouch and held it. "Luke foresaw the return of the Titans. He foresaw they would return to the galaxy and the First Order would come for them. Along with something else…something ancient and dangerous."

"If he knew about it, why did he leave? Why did not tell his sister about it?" Poe asked wondering why someone like Luke would leave when the galaxy needed him.

"Because he's hoping to find a solution to stop all of this," said Tekka before he hands the pouch to Poe and placed it in his hand. "This will begin to make things right. I've traveled too far and seen too much to ignore the despair in the galaxy. Without the Jedi, there can be no balance in the Force. And without the Titans, there can be no balance in nature."

Poe still didn't understand the importance of the creatures, but when he saw Hideo and Momo approach Mothra, he saw something. He saw the creature looking down at the duo, before lowering her head to them. He could hear the calm chirp coming from her and see her body glowing.

Momo lifted her hand up as Mothra approached her. She placed her hand on the creature's face and felt her warmth. She can feel Mothra's calmness and gentle nature. Mothra breaths into the group, causing Hideo and Momo to laugh when they felt her breath against their bodies.

This caused Poe to begin smiling when he saw the side of this Titan that he didn't think existed. "Well, I still don't know much about these things, but if you believe in them, then I will too. And I'm assuming the general will too."

"Oh, the General? To me, she's royalty," said Tekka who will always see her by her title from before to what her title is now.

"Well, she certainly is that," said Poe before suddenly the alarm in the room begins to go off, causing the scientist in the room to begin panicking as they see what is causing this. "What's going on? What's happening?"

Lor San Tekka knew exactly what it was and sighed. "They're here. The First Order have arrived."

"I thought we still had time," said Poe who knew an hour couldn't have already passed.

"Doesn't look like it," said Tekka as he turned to the scientists. "Begin the evacuation and get to the ship!"

The scientists all begin deleting everything from their computers, before they begin rushing out of the room to finish the evacuation. As they left, Hideo and Momo ran back into the room with the containment team. All the while Mothra let out a loud screech and appeared to sense what is going on.

"We need to get Mothra out of here before the First Order find her," said Momo who is aware of what's going on.

"We don't have a lot of time to get her on the ship," said Hideo who can see Mothra is beginning to act up and begin to screech in anger. "And she knows it too. She can feel their presence."

"How can she feel their presence? What can she use the Force or something?" Poe asked as he got a serious look from Hideo, Tekka, and Momo. "Seriously? She can use the Force?"

"All Titans appear connected strongly with the Force. We could explain it all right now or we can get you out of here," said Momo as she turned to Tekka. "Go with him to the hanger and get out. We'll finish up here and leave."

"Understood and thank you again, Dr. Serizawa. May the Force be with you both," said Tekka as he says his goodbyes to his friends.

"As it be with you both as well," said Momo as she begins going to her terminal and tries to figure out what to do.

"Let's go then, come on!" said Poe as he turns to BB-8 and Tekka as they begin heading back to the hanger.

That's the end of the chapter and yep, Mothra has arrived. To recap, in the Skull World Kong story, it was established that Kong had a strong connection with the Force. So, I wanted to show that the Titans are connected with the Force. Can they use it? Spoiling it; no.

I didn't want to have it where they'll use the Force in a fight. It doesn't mean they can't communicate with those connected with the Force too. Ezra did it with Kong and so will those in this story too. Also, I wanted to show how Luke knew about the Titans, along with those close to him.

How will things be for our heroes with the First Order arriving to the planet? Will they be able to hold them off to allow Poe to escape? Will this go like the movie? Or how much different will the next chapter be compared to the movie?
