As they sat down for dinner, Megumin, not present yet, Daichi decided to start the conversation, "So I heard that you and Megumin got pretty close, what made that happen?" He asked with a particularly crude smile on his face.

"According to the both of them they didn't do anything, so they're still pretty timid about sharing the details right now." Akiko said with her hand covering her mouth to Daichi.

"That's because nothing happened!" Kazuma said, wishing that his parents would drop it, or preferably listen to what actually happened, "Listen I was telling Megumin about something then she got a bit too excited and got in my face about it."

"Well from what I heard she was pretty excited indeed, what was it that she was excited about?" Finally one of his parents came through and he could explain, but the question was a matter of how?

"Well, we were talking about possible job opportunities that we could have when we grow up and I was telling her what little I knew about hydraulics and motors, and when she wanted to learn more because she loved the sound of it. I told her that later I could teach her how to use the computer to learn more information, during this she was in my face then you walked in." Kazuma got the story straight and could now relax, or so he thought.

"Oh you guys were talking about jobs for the future, why was that?" Akiko asked, looking at him preparing her attack on him.

"There's this thing at the beginning of the digital homeschool that I suggested that asks what speciality(basically a certificate in Japan) you want to go in, and then asks what major you want(in Japan these are more specific than in America), so we were talking about that, I forgot to mention to her the reason but we still talked about it." Kazuma said this thinking it was the end of the conversation before realising what trap he set up.

"So son," his mother said looking at him with as sweet of a look she could get, "what's your major going to be. You helped Megumin out to pick what she wanted so that means you know what you want to do, right?" Although the end sounded ominous Kazuma still had to think fast to save his skin.

Then it came to him, "Yeah well since I know the basics of motors and other mechanical components, and of course I know programming quite well with all the games I play, I decided that it would make sense for me to be a PLC programmer.", 'Well, thanks to my quick thinking I didn't get ridiculed, but I was actually preferring to be a game designer but there goes that, well I guess it wouldn't've worked anyways, I would've been told that it would be a total neet move and that would've been right. You know what? This is for improvement, maybe if I have a sick job that pays well then I can have a hot girl that we go to the beach just for fun and she wears a bikini, or better yet we have a pool so she wears the bikini all the time, hehe, the dream.'

Lucky for him no one tried talking to him while he was going in his mind since Megumin had entered the room, "Sorry for coming so late, I was busy."

"It's ok dear, I completely understand." Akiko said with a sincere smile on her face

She then saw Kazuma's face which was in total dream land, "What is Kazuma doing?"

"Oh, he does that when he's thinking about something for a while. We were talking about your guy's schooling and how it works. Anyway, try the food I cooked and tell me what you think!" Impatiently waiting for her to sit down and try the gyudon that she had made for dinner, "So how does it taste?"

"It's really good." She said, feeling her cheek with her mouth absorbing the food's flavor, before Kazuma came back to his senses.

"Megumin, what did I say about talking with your mouth full!?" Kazuma said getting out of his mind to snap at the girl, telling her her manners like he did at the MkSuba.

"Look who finally decided to join us. Did the thought process go well?" She jokingly asked him, hinting at how it's bad manners to not be with the family during dinner, "Did you tell your mom how good the food is?"

"I actually haven't had any yet." He then took a spoonful of the food and ate it, then when he was done, "Wow, this is really good! I thought we saved food of this quality for special occasions?"

"Of course we do!" She said turning from Kazuma to Megumin, "We got another member to the family, speaking of which I got this bowl of it for the kitty too!" Chomusuke popped out of Megumin's hoodie and went to the bowl and took a bit before purring. Akiko then turned back to Kazuma before speaking in a sincere, smooth tone, "and you came out of your shell quite a bit today, and that's worth celebrating." It was at this moment that Kazuma saw that his parents were trying to help him, they just didn't know how, and Kazuma dismissed them.

After they finished dinner Megumin and Kazuma first moved the boxes where his mom wanted them, which ended up just piled up in a corner in his room. She also decided to sell the bookcases except for one of them. Then they decided to go to his room to clean up the closet and figure out where the stuff Megumin would have would go, "So time to clean your mess." Megumin said jokingly.

Kazuma responded sarcastically, "Haha very funny miss comedy. I already told you that I was going to do it today."

"Eh, either way we gotta do it." They started to pick up the clothes off the floor and put them in the hamper, before Megumin decided to break the silence, "Is there anything else that I should know since we are alone right now?"

Kazuma thought for a second before remembering the conversation at dinner, "Yeah, the way that the digital homeschool works in that you put in what job you plan on having and that I will be a PLC planner and that you would be a mechanical engineer, that being the title of the job of the hydraulics which you seemed to like so much."

"What's a PLC planner?"

"PLC is an acronym meaning 'Programmable Logic Controller' and that means that I would basically be controlling when things move and activate. For example if we worked together then you would set up the machine and I would tell it when to do stuff and what to do." At this point they had finished picking up the clothes, putting them in the hamper and moving the clothes onto one rack since they would be getting a dresser to share, "Ok, you can look at the area and think where you want things to go, Imma go take a shower." He picked up the pajamas that he would wear that night before remembering something, "Wait follow me real quick." He looked at Megumin knowing how she didn't know how a lot of things worked in his world.

"Ok?" Although she was confused she still followed him to the bathroom, before getting even more confused, "What are you doing Kazuma!? I do not consent to this!"

He turned to her on his knees about to point out the faucet, "Look I don't know what weird things are going through your mind right now but I'm trying to be nice teaching you how to use this for when you take a shower later." She quickly looked embarrassed before giving him a 'sorry', "It's fine, so basically how this works is that you pull this lever to the left, then right since its a half circle, then when the water as the lever is more facing up the hotter it will be, and it can be super hot, so go maybe 80 or 90% and there's a bit of a delay so don't try and rush it. When it is the temperature you want then you pull the top part of the faucet, does that all make sense?" He looked back at her, which she had a face of determination, which worried him, "Ok you do it."

"Ok, pretty simple." She went over to the lever, pulled it up trying to get the right temperature so decided to bring it all the way to the top before putting her hand under the water, "OW!" she yelped, feeling that it was super hot.

"You had to learn somehow, and it was not by listening to my words." He proceeded to pull it down to around 85%, "Ok, now put your hand under there, dumbass."

She put her hand under before feeling how cool it was, "Ooooh, that feels good."

"You know what you're gonna mess it up when you come here so you take a shower first, I'll leave you some clothes on the toilet seat." The sound of defeat, all from a fail and a relaxed noise.

"Ok wait, are you sure?" She asked, looking concerned since he wanted to go first, "I thought you wanted to go first, I can wait for you to be done."

"No it's fine, wait a minute so I can get you some clothes that you can put on." He then rushed out to get some clothes, what he ended up getting was a small pair of black pajamas that would fit her, along with an oversized shirt that he didn't use often. "This should work, I'll have the door open to my room so just holler if you need something."

"I think I know how to take a chower, I'll be fine." He ignored the fact she mispronounced it and left the room. She got ready and turned it on the way that Kazuma showed her, and when she looked around she realized that she knew how to take a shower, "Oh this must be some of the information that Eris gave me, that's cool … but it also gives me a weird feeling." She decided to shrug it off and continue taking a shower. To Kazuma's surprise she didn't need help and came out wearing what he gave her, "See I told you I could do it."

"Ok now for the thing you do after you take a shower." He pointed at the toothbrush, "I'm going to teach you how those work."

She looked at it then turned, quite agitated, "How under-developed do you think my world was?"

"Well in my world, we didn't start to use toothbrushes, at least like they are today until the 1400s, and toothpaste was in the early 1900s. As a reminder, your world is put roughly into the 1600s." Kazuma said, defending his statement.

"Well I guess my world is more developed than yours is, at those times at least."

"I mean in the early 1300s we had the cannon which shot giant balls quickly into targets, being able to tear people into pieces and destroy fortresses for the first time." Megumin looked confused, not knowing what a cannon is, "A cannon is a big tube that basically was a trebuchet but is powered by gunpowder making it so that it can be reloaded quicker and instead of using kinetic and potential energy it used combustion." She looked confused again, not knowing what gunpowder was or what a trebuchet was, "I'm beginning to realize why your world was so far behind mine, instead of learning about the properties of things in your world you instead focused on your magic, that being said if a bunch of people put their efforts into learning about how stuff in the world worked then you'd have one hell of an industrial revolution."

Megumin first looked offended, before looking satisfied, "So what you're saying is that my world could surpass yours?"

"If they started learning about how stuff works then I'd give it 750 years maybe before it is in roughly the same position as my world is now." Kazuma said somewhat confidently.

Megumin looked appalled, "But you said that we were in the 1600s, the year here is 2024!"

"One how did you know the date, and two the reason for that is because even now we look at document from thousands of years ago for information, aristotle who was in 1000 bc, basically before we started to count years, came up with a whole lot of stuff that evolved into the basic facts that are used today and he was the first* to come up with democracy which is the biggest form of government used today." With that Megumin knew she had lost the battle, but maybe not the war.

"So how long before my world surpasses yours? Would it be 1000 years?" she said smugly since it would mean that they would use the information quicker.

"No probably more like 1500 years, the stuff we have now comes from things taking time, and as I said earlier your world hasn't focused on it yet, unless you have a aristotle to tell you guys that things change over time in jurassic ways that take too long for even a few generations of people to notice, then its hard to say when you guys would start doing that, and with you guys putting magic into things since we are doing stuff with quantum mechanics, which is basically stuff that is smaller than atoms, which you mentioned was theorised in your world, if you guys could figure out how your magic works and incorporate it with quantum mechanics then you would have surpassed us in a way that we couldn't, unless you guys fail to go into space which would make it be much longer, in conclusion there's lots of variables and while yes you guys could surpass us, it would take a while."

Megumin was surprised by all that he knew about the world, "How do you know as much as you do about your world and things that are only known by a few in my world?"

Kauma looked to his side before laughing pretty hard, "If I'm being honest, when playing games that have matchmaking, which is basically just playing with people around the world, which takes a long while. I decided to look into random topics which happened to be history, engineering and when I wanted to look into new developments then I got quantum stuff." Although it was an answer that left much to be desired, it was the whole truth, "Possibly the worst way someone can learn about topics as sophisticated as that." He ended that mimicking an English old-timey butler. They laughed a bit before Kazuma realized that it was his turn for the shower, "Anyways, I gotta shower." He came around and put his clothes on the toilet lid before looking at her, "See ya." She watched as the door shut, leaving her to stand there not knowing what to do next.

She decided to go back to Kazuma's room and wait for him to be done but Akiko stopped her, "Hey Megumin, could I talk with you for a second?" She was walking in the hallway looking for her, "I just want to ask you a few things while Kazuma is in the shower."

Megumin was hesitant at first before realizing that there was no reason for her to not talk with her, "Yeah what do you want to talk about?"

"I just want to know, what do you think of Kazuma? I mean he says that you guys weren't doing anything and that you had just gotten excited over learning about mechanical engineering and that's what caused you to get so close to him. My question sparks from you being that comfortable with Kazuma already." It was a question that, while could be answered in a, 'It's just my personality' Megumin knew that she wouldn't buy it.

After thinking for a bit she just answered honestly,"There's just something about him that makes it easy to be my truest self, it may be because he was so willing to help me when I needed it, or it was because he tries to act so full of himself, when in reality he just wants to help anyone that shows it. Even if it was just a bit." During that Megumin just smiled a bit.

Akiko watched her for a moment, "He hasn't shown that side of him in many years. You have some credit for bringing him to show that, also him wanting to go to school again, even if it is digital it is progress." She proceeded to look at the ground, ashamed of herself, "You did what me and my husband failed to do." She then put her hands on Megumin's shoulders, "And for that, I ask that you proceed to take care of our beloved Kazuma. He's in better care in your hands then he ever was in mine and my husband's." Tears started to appear in the corners of her eyes as she looked at Megumin, more desperate than she has ever seen someone, "I know it's a selfish ask and I'm putting it on you when I need to be responsible as a parent, but I just can't."

Megumin was shocked about how she had dropped all of this on her but that doesn't mean that it would scare her, "I will, I promised." And she had no intention to break that promise, even if they had just met at the beginning of the day, she had this weird connection with Kazuma that wouldn't go away.

Soon after they had finished talking they heard the shower turn off, "Well I guess that I should be on my way now. This'll be our little secret, and thank you." She flashed a smile before leaving, making sure to not be seen when Kazuma left the bathroom.

He then proceeded to open the door, Megumin still standing there, "What are you doing out here." She then turned around, realizing that she was caught, "Were you waiting for me to leave the shower or something?"

Megumin, not knowing what to do just said, "Yeah, I wanted to talk with you a bit more but I…didn't know if I could go in your room without you knowing!" Although she ended it sounding really unsure of herself, he didn't push.

"You can go in my room whenever you want, I don't care. Besides you're going to have to to get to your room so might as well start now." He shrugged, before sighing, "Alright let's go in, besides what did you want to talk about?"

They walked into the room while talking, besides it's not like she wasn't planning on talking to him, although when they walked into the room Megumin jumped into the bed face first, "Oh just wondering what your bed felt like." She proceeded to curl up in the bed, getting under the covers.

Kazuma watched her and proceeded to laugh, "Wow you sure do know your way around a bed."

"No, I actually grew up using just a futon, so this is a first."

He watched her figure out that it works just like a futon, just elevated and multilayered blankets, "Well you sure do learn fast, I'll give you that." He continued to give a small chuckle before walking over to the bed, "You know I'm about to get in too.", 'I mean it is a queen size so it's not like she would be crowded."

"Ok hop in." So after that he proceeded to get in the bed, getting himself comfortable, "Plenty of room for the both of us. I might just sleep in here tonight, this is so much more comfortable than a futon."

"Well you are going to get your own tomorrow, so that means you'll be able to take up that entire thing-" After he said this she then curled up next to him, "Hey what are you doing?"

"Getting comfortable." She had a slight blush but it wasn't stopping her from being close to the source of heat that was under the covers, "It's cold under here." There was a silence that filled the air for just a few moments, occasionally interrupted by deep breaths, taken by either one of them. Chomusuke then hopped on the bed, aiming to go to the other head corner by the wall, although giving Kazuma a quick jump before he tried to figure out the real problem

'Is this ok? I mean she did get closer to me, does this mean that she trusts me that much, is this an invitation? No of course not, she's just trying to get warm, right?" His mind was walking around in circles, he had no idea what to do, 'Ok would she make a move on me like this saying that she likes me? No, that wouldn't make sense if we just met today. You know what, maybe holding something would ease my mind, I'm arguing with myself over here!' He then, without thinking, started to hold Megumin, who had been curled into his chest this entire time, 'SHIT! I JUST HELD MEGUMIN! C'MON KAZUMA! Was that the right choice!? I mean if my subconscious did it then maybe it was?' He calmed down for a second before thinking again, 'Well in this situation there's only one thing I can do, go with the flow.' He looked down at Megumin who by now was sleeping peacefully, laying in the arms of Kazuma, 'Well it was the right choice after all.' Then he too fell asleep.

The next morning Megumin was the first to wake up, she got up, unknowingly pushing Kazuma's arms off her. Rubbing her eyes, "yaaaaawwn, that was possibly the best sleep of my life." She said looking around to see Kazuma asleep next to her, one arm on her lap and the other where she was sleeping. She then turned beat red, 'did Kazuma really hold me for the entire night? I mean I did cuddle up next to him but after that I fell asleep.' She paused, looking at Kazuma's sleeping face, 'I mean I did feel safe, rather it was the comfortable bed, or it was being held.' She then proceeded to lay back down, putting Kazuma's arm back over her, 'Just a few more minutes should be fine, it's not like we have to get up early or anything. Besides Kazuma hasn't slept much recently, it'll be good for him, and I wasn't able to sleep much when those monsters were attacking us.'

They were now back to what they were before, and Megumin started to drift off again. But Kazuma started to get up, "yaaaaaw-" He was stopped by the girl that he still had in his arms, 'Wait, why am I holding this girl? Ooh yeah! I kinda forgot about that, to be honest I kinda thought that it was a dream.' He started to lay back down, 'Well I guess that she's still asleep so I better not wake her.'

Just as he laid fully back down Megumin realised that he was up, "Oh morning Kazuma." She said in a tired, small voice.

"Oh sorry did I wake you up?" Kazuma returned, worried.

"No I was already up, just decided to lay back down. You know, you have very comfortable arms, makes me feel nice." She proceeded to get closer to him even though they were already touching.

He got very tense very quickly, "Oh that's good to hear, I was trying to go for that so I guess it works.", 'She is so close! Makes me so squirmy, but I can't show weakness in this time of need!'

"No need to be so tense, I'm not going to do anything. Just trying to get comfortable." She saw directly right through him, "Besides, even if I was going to do something it wouldn't be nearly as dirty as that."

"Huh? I wasn't thinking dirty!" He was telling the truth, even though it was incredibly reasonable to assume that he was, he actually wasn't.

"Then what were you thinking?"

"I was thinking that you were close and if you were really that comfortable with me even though we just met." She started to squirm a bit causing him to react, 'Was that a 'no'?'

She got a hushed tone while holding the sheet near her face, "Well if I didn't trust you then I wouldn't've come home with you." Although this is a good point it didn't explain her being as close as she was to him, "Besides, Eris felt bad for me and said that I'd love you." This made both of their hearts speed up, "And she picked you specifically, even telling you that I would develop feelings for you. Maybe she knew something.

After this Chomusuke hopped off the bed before turning into a woman, "I'm Wolbach, and I just want to say first off." She bowed her head slightly, "Thank you Kazuma for being willing to take in Megumin and i."

Kazuma was shocked by the sight he just saw, "Hey Megumin, I think your cat is talking to me."

"Yeah I told you about that, remember?" She looked at him as if he didn't listen to what she talked about the day prior.

He shot over to her "Yeah, well there's a difference between hearing that someone's cat is a goddess that can transform at will, and seeing the cat become a woman, "and by the way, don't worry about it, it's much easier than I thought it was going to be, when I saw her I was tempted to leave her to figure it out by herself."

"Well I will thank you for taking pity on us. As for the reason that I became a woman, it was for one to be able to show Kazuma that everything you said was true since there was disbelief which for how this world is, I'm surprised that he believed you at all. Secondly I just want to say that Eris's control is not nearly as powerful as you guys think it is, she simply just helps people go from one side to the other, and some of us are sent down to watch the world and report if anything happens, I was part of one of the ones for that world, and I was in relatively low power since my other half took the power from me, so me being here shouldn't cause anything too drastic to happen. So it's pretty much like I've half retired, so Eris can't see the future or at least can only see so far and it only so much of it, with this being within 24 hours of her speaking to the two of you of course she'd say that you guys would love each other since you both are really close." She then turned to Kazuma with a deadly serious look on her face, "Just know that if you do anything to hurt her feelings that I still have powers similar to that of a goddess."

Kazuma has never felt so intimidated before in his life, "Yes ma'am!" He saluted his arm to the top of his head with a face with a mix of dedication and fear.

"No need to be so harsh on him, besides there's nothing he could do that would hurt my feelings, it's not like I'm a child or anything." Megumin defended, before calming the situation down, "I must ask though, this is only half of you?"

Wolbach looked to the side, "Yes I am the familiar to Wolbach, I'm not actually here, although due to her powers as a goddess and the connection we had, we share certain memories with each other and I can turn into her if need be, also this won't matter for this world but I emit a magical aura that let my subordinates and trusted people to let them know that I am a part of her, although Wolbach's the one who controls it."

Explainer here, I don't know how to explain this without feeding spoons, and even then doing it through character dialog would be lame so here's how it works, Wolbachs soul is duplicated when she got the familiar and they send chosen information and back and forth when both of them are sleeping/unconscious, this also means that Wolbach feels what Chomusuke feels and would have made the same decisions as her, in her position, this is how it works in this fanfic I also will change anything that makes sense to change, did it before and will continue, anyway enjoy reading!

"So what did you mean by your power being taken away from you, what happened?" The girl curiously asked wanting to know what dispute could have taken place between her idol and the cat.

"Well the dragon you saw that Wolbach blew up was me-"

"WHAT!" Megumin cut her off, stopping her from saying more and throwing her arms down on the bed in front of Wolbach, before Kazuma put his hands over her mouth, doing the same.

"What do you think you are doing!?" Kazuma was sweating bullets, "You're going to get my parents running over here thinking something happened. Also why would you interrupt her in the middle of talking, apologize now!"

"It's fine really, there's no need to apologize it's fine." Wolbach shook her head wanting the situation to calm down

Kazuma immediately put Megumin's head on the sheets forcing her to apologize, "What's with this!?" The girl shot at him.

"It's you apologizing right? Say sorry to the kind lady now." He insisted

"I'm sorry ok! I won't interrupt people again." Megumin had yielded.

After everyone got back where they were, Wolbach continued, "She hit me with the explosion magic to drain as much power from me as she could without killing me, the whole reason for that being because you solved the puzzle bringing me to this world, when I had been watching over a different one although that one had already gone bad and war-ridden so there was really no consequences to me being in the land you both were in. I'm only brought around in times where power can just be let loose in a big vicinity without repercussions, and I assumed that I needed to do the same with the area I was brought in, problem was, was that I had been in a sort of autopilot mode and wasn't really thinking, just destroying, that's the reason for the forced power reduction."

"Ok that makes sense but I still have one question, why did you say you woke up as a cat?" Megumin asked, wondering why she would say something like that.

"That's because I was resealed after Wolbach blew me up and I was in a constant state of unconscious so I got a look completely through her eyes, to the point where I thought I was her, when I woke up I was confused, but after some time I realised what all it was I didn't want to tell you then since it'd be too soon and I was still a bit unsure." Wolbach was then done explaining.

"Well it does explain a lot of things, but I think you should go back into cat mode in case Kazuma's parents come in." Wolbach nodded.

"Well good talking to you, Miss goddess." Kazuma said as awkwardly as he could've in the situation.

"Please, you are a friend of Megumin's so you are a friend of mine. Call me Wolbach."

Kazuma gave an awkward, yet friendly laugh, "Alright see you later Wolbach, I'll be sure to give you lots of pets and treats."

"I thank you for that." She then proceeded to turn into a cat again before hopping onto Kazuma's lap and curling up, to which he petted her, keeping to his word to which she meowed in return.

"Well that sure was something." He said plainly before looking at Megumin who had been sitting there, just the same as him not knowing how to move the conversation. Before Kazuma broke the silence, "Let's see what time it is." He picked up his phone, turning it on. "It is 7:38, Mom will probably make breakfast at 9, so that means we have an hour and a half to kill, wanna sleep some more and talk."

Megumin, not knowing what else they could do layed down, "Sure, just as long as you don't piss Chomusuke off then you'll be fine." She then proceeded to put her arms together and mustering the most puppy-dog eyes she could, "Now could you please cuddle me again?"

'How in the world could he say no to that!? It was unfair, practically the most lethal weapon in the world.'

And before he could answer she spoke again, "Please it would make me so happy."

"Yes of course I will, I couldn't say no to that in a million years" Chomusuke hopped off his lap to go back into the corner from which she came.

As they got comfortable Megumin only had one thing to say, "Hah, you do what I tell you."

Kazuma then got aggravated that she had played with him so easily, "Well this also makes me happy, to be able to hold such a cute and soft girl." He said while wrapping his arms around her, engulfing her into him.

Her face was being turned red by his remarks, "Why do you always have to say the stupidest thing?" She mumbled, loud enough for him to hear it.

He looked down at her, choosing his next words wisely, "Well if you don't want me to hold you then-"

Before he could even finish his sentence Megumin popped her head up from his chest, "No don't do that! I want to be held."

"Heh" After that Akiko opened the door, "Hey what would you guys want for-" She looked at the scene that she walked into, "It's ok I'll just make an American breakfast, you two can continue what you're doing."

"WAIT IT'S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!"Kazuma yelled at her, reaching his arm out.

"You suck at this." Megumin said at Kazuma as he lowered his arm, "At this point you better just accept that your parents think that we are doing something."

Kazuma turned his head towards the girl, still in his arms, "Yeah but the thing is is that we aren't and you know this." He criticized her.

"Yeah the problem would start if they walked in and we were bathing or something like that." Megumin joked, laughing to herself.

"You're going to trigger a flag if you keep talking like that." He said with a completely straight face, worried that something was going to happen.

"What flag would be triggered? No way that we would actually be in a bath together without it meaning something."

"Don't say that something is never going to happen, you never know."Kazuma looked at her with determination.

"Are you saying that we are going to be in a bath together and someone is going to walk in on us."

"I don't like all the foreshadowing that's going on here, let's change the topic." Kazuma began to think about what they could talk about, "OH Right, what do you want to do with your room?"

She hadn't thought about it yet, although she really needed to, "I hadn't thought of it, with that being said I liked sleeping with you so I don't see the need for me to have a whole room to myself." She looked at Kazuma who was clearly confused as to why she wouldn't want a room to herself, "I slept in the same room as my sister so I'm very comfortable with it, although if you aren't then I can."

He thought carefully before speaking, as to make her as happy as possible, thinking about what Wolbach said, "You can sleep with me, but in that case we need to figure out what to do with the space we just cleared."

"Well we could turn it into an office since we're going to be doing school together, and this small space isn't really gonna work." She did make a good point, and it would mean that it would be a space they could lock themselves into to force them to work without distractions.

"I like that idea, it can make us concentrate on the work without distractions."

"Yeah and if I see that you are getting distracted then I can smack you into working again." She said coldly with a smile on her face.

"Are my expectations that low?" He just couldn't believe what he was hearing, "I am a changing man here, you gotta give me a chance."

"Well, it's hard to go from being a shut-in neet to being a full time student, studying to be a DLV Planner."

"PLC Planner, what is up with you mispronouncing things, first my name, then 'shower' saying 'chower' and now this? Sounds like you need to learn how to say things." He finally got enough of it and had to know.

"Well not everyone can master new words as easily as you can, actually can you even say my dad's name? It's Hyoizaburoo."

Kazuma gulped hearing the word, "Hoyzafuro?" He knew that it was incorrect and he couldn't hide the fact that he knew that he knew it.

Megumin chuckled a bit, "Yeah, that's what I thought and that's a normal name where I come from, now you can't give me crap for not being able to pronounce words that sound incredibly foreign to me." She won and Kazuma had to get back at her, but how? Kazuma started to tickle her, causing her to laugh uncontrollably, "Kazu-MA! What are you-hehehe- doing! WHy-hahaha- are you tickling me!?" She continued to laugh uncontrollably before she started to tickle Kazuma.

"HEY!" He too started to laugh, "WHAT-hehehaaa- do you think you're doing. For I KAZUMA ARE-HAHAHA- the tickle Master!" They continued to tickle each other laughing uncontrollably until they got tired.

Megumin, still tired, decided to ask the question of the century, "So what was the reason for you tickling me?"

Kazuma looked at her, "Well you embarrassed me so I thought I could get you back by making you laugh. Now you got to tell me why you didn't take your punishment fairly and why you fought back."

She looked at him like it was a stupid question with an easy answer, "Well if someone challenges me I'm not going to cower in a corner, I'll beat them in whatever they challenge me to!" She then thought of Yunyun, hoping that she was safe and that the demons hadn't done anything to her.

Kazuma could tell that she was thinking about something, and it was bothering her, "What's wrong?"

Megumin looked up at him, realising that her face was as readable as it was, "Oh it's just that there's this girl that would always challenge me to stuff since she was my self-proclaimed rival, and I don't know what happened to her after I died."

Kazuma went straight to the point, "How did you die? You never told me."

She kinda felt bad for not telling him, especially since he had opened up to her the way he did, "Well Chomusuke was one of the demon king's leading generals and her top subordinates were looking for her, in particular was this one woman. Her name was Arnes…" She then proceeded to tell Kazuma about what she said would happen to Yunyun and everything else that she didn't say before. "And it all ended with an explosion that was 60 kilotons of tnt I think Eris said it was."

"DAMN! Talk about overkill, that's enough to take out a good sized city." Kazuma then coughed, hitting his chest, "Anyway, since Wolbach talked to them doesn't this mean that she'll let her go?"

Megumin ignored the gestures he made, "Well I can only hope, who knows how long it'd take before it reached her, or if they even cared!" She started to get very visibly upset, then Kazuma, going with his instincts, went over to her.

"It's ok Megumin, worrying isn't going to do anything, we just gotta hope that they listened to their boss, I mean why wouldn't they? They had some of their strongest go out to find her, they obviously respected her." Kazuma had a good point, that Megumin couldn't argue with, and that comforted her. "Breakfast should be ready by now, so unless there's something else you'd like to talk about before seeing the family we better do it now."

She chuckled at how laid back he was about stuff, treating things the same while also treating specific situations delicately, "Nope nothing here, let's go!" She then hopped out of bed, Kazuma and Chomusuke following, giving her a meow of approval before Kazuma picked her up, holding her like a baby scratching her stomach. She gave a relaxed mew as a sign of approval.
