"I gotta say - this is nice." Charlotte, the young Steambird journalist, commented.
"Glad that you approved." Aether, the wandering Traveler and hero of five out of the seven nations of Teyvat, said.
As of this afternoon, the two are spending their time together near the Fountain of Lucine, Fontaine. Just a regular date; nothing special.
Just a while ago, Charlotte took herself a day off to try and relax before she works herself "to death" in her never-ending journalism. And fate would have it, Aether came by without Paimon, so Charlotte boldly asked him out, and while dense to a woman's feelings, he agreed to hang out with her for the day.
They are sitting on a bench near the fountain eating Blubbercream together. Which Charlotte ate and already began to show a happy face upon tasting it.
"So good~!" Charlotte chirped.
"Glad you enjoyed it." Aether commented.
"I can't think of anything better than enjoying Blubbercream on a beautiful day like this!" Charlotte hollered.
"You have been working hard a lot and really needed a day to unwind." Aether explained.
"That's true. But a journalist never sleeps on the job no matter what!" Charlotte declared.
Aether let out a chuckle.
"You never change." Aether commented.
"Of course. But enough about me, how are you faring?" Charlotte asked.
"Well so far. Paimon and I will be heading to Natlan in a few days, so we're just enjoying our moment here while we can." Aether answered.
"But we won't know what Natlan will be like. It's Archon. Or if we run into any dangers." Aether continued.
"Hey, I know you and Paimon will get manage in Natlan. And you'll have plenty of friends to keep you from going bad." Charlotte explained.
"What makes you say that?" Aether asked.
"Because you have this kind of "spark" that attracts people to you in every way." Charlotte answered.
"And that…" Charlotte said, leaning forward despite her cheeks a little pink.
Then, Charlotte kissed Aether on the lips for a second before backing away, which shocked Aether.
"… is what makes you amazing." Charlotte said.
Aether chuckled and licked Charlotte's own Blubbercream in a playful manner.
Seeing his game, she did the same thing and licked his own.
Aether and Charlotte chuckled as they started to share each other's Blubbercream now with love and affection. Only enjoying themselves here and now with no one to bother them.
All of a sudden, Charlotte got up from her seat, surprising Aether.
"Uh… Charlotte?" Aether asked.
"My journalist senses are tingling! I smell a scoop!" Charlotte hollered, which made Aether sigh.
Yep. That's Charlotte, even on a day off.

Watching from the bushes was Paimon, spying on the duo with binoculars and smirking.
"Those two. They're good to each other." Paimon said, before turning behind to see a tied up Furina, Navia, Clorinde, Chiori and Lynette all struggling to get out in a jealous rage.
"Which I can say the same for the others who like that dummy." Paimon thought, having a sweat drop on her forehead.
This is the last of the one-shots I plan on doing and won't be doing any of the Natlan ones until likely the summer.
