Tyler was right, his mom did try and get Stiles to see a therapist when she found out about the panic attack. But when Stiles pointed out that the only time that therapy is useful and works is when the participant actually wants to go and Stiles truly did not want to go, she backed down.

What Carol did do however was tell his father about the panic attack, which meant that Stiles had to spend almost three hours talking to his father about why the panic attack happened, what Stiles did to stop the panic attack and how 'no dad I promise you living here is helping' and 'no dad I don't think going back to Beacon Hill's would help'.

Stiles did end up telling his father about his recent supernatural upgrades and how he felt about them and while Stiles' father couldn't really help on the front, just speaking about it to him helped. He wasn't sure however about if he should tell his father about the other supernatural beings in town.

His father ended up calling Stiles out however when he realised there was something his son wasn't telling him by reminding Stiles that they had promised to be completely truthful with each other. So, Stiles told his father about the vampires, witch, weird girl, and Tyler possibly being a werewolf. It didn't help his father's worry but Stiles did promise that he would try to stay out of the supernatural drama that seemed to be happening around him.

When the call ended Stiles felt his shoulders untense. He didn't even realise that he had been so stressed about it.

It was now founders day and Stiles was dressed up in 1800's military garb and walking around the floats to see exactly what everyone did with theirs.

"No, no, no, no, no! It's all wrong! The marching band should be in front of the Historic Society. Matt, get up on the float. Stiles! Stop wondering around and get to your float. Boys, I asked you to put chairs on the Founders' Float. Ladies! Time to get on the float." Stiles can hear Carol Lockwood ordering people around. He decides to not anger her more and start making his way to his float.

Stiles notices Caroline, Matt and Bonnie taking pictures in front of the Miss Mystic float. Caroline and Matt are dressed up in their 1800's costumes.

"Say cheese!" Stiles can hear Bonnie say from where he is standing. He shouldn't be able to hear them.

"Oh wait! Hide your cast, it's not era-appropriate!" Caroline orders Matt. Stiles wonders if he can hear peoples heart beats like the werewolves could.

"Seriously?" Matt questions.

"Yes!" Caroline says enthusiastically. Stiles starts trying to focus in on them listening out for the thump-thump of their hearts.

"I want one with Bonnie now." Thump-thump-thump that's it Stiles can hear them. He wonders if he will be able to pick up on people lying from just their heart beats.

"Here, I can take it." Stiles gets drawn out from his mind space by the sound of Tyler's voice.

"I'll be on the float." Matt says immediately before walking off.

"I said I was sorry!" Tyler exclaims at Caroline.

"You made out with his mother and then you beat him to a pulp. You're gonna have to do a little bit better than sorry." Caroline says before walking off to find Matt.

"Hey, Tyler!" Stiles calls out for Tyler. "It's time to get to our float man." Before you mom loses her mind, he doesn't say.

Stiles and Tyler walk over to the float where they find Jeremy Gilbert standing in his costume waiting for them with fake guns from the 1800's.

The floats set off soon after Tyler and Stiles are in their spots. Stiles waves to the crowd and laughs when Tyler and Jeremy both pretend to shoot each other. He's having fun. It's the first time he is having fun at one of these events...something is bound to go wrong.

To Stiles surprise nothing goes wrong while they are on the float and now everyone has changed out of their 1800's costumes and are back into their normal, modern clothes. Tyler is teaching Stiles how to play pool while both boys pretend not to notice the way Caroline and Matt keep looking over at them.

"I still can't believe you've never played pool before." Tyler says.

"Why? Because of my natural talent?" Stiles jokes despite knowing he is being destroyed.

Tyler laughs at him, "Oh yeah, such natural talent. How many balls have you managed to get?"

"Three." Stiles states.

"And how many of those ball have been mine?" Tyler asks.

"Two." Stiles closes his eyes because he knows exactly what is going to be asked next.

"And that one ball that wasn't mine, which ball was it?" Tyler questions.

"The white one. Okay I get your point. I suck at this game." Stiles admits causing both boys to laugh.

Suddenly Tyler's father is standing next to the pool table and looking at his son.

"What are you doing here? I told you to go home." The man had texted Tyler earlier that he and Stiles needed to go back to the house but because he didn't give any reason Tyler decided to ignore him.

"I decided not to." Tyler states.

"If I tell you to do something, you do it!" The mayor proceeds to grab Tyler's arm harshly.

"Let go of me!" Tyler yells shocked. His father has never been violent in public before.

Caroline gets up from her seat and walks over to the three men before Stiles can do anything.

"Mayor, is everything okay?" She asks as Matt arrives at the pool table.

The Mayor looks at all 4 kids and lets go of Tyler's arm.

"Please Tyler; I need you to go home, now. Take your friends with you." The mayor begs.

"Why? What's going on?" Matt asks.

"I can't explain. All of you need to get home, now. Please." The mayor begs.

Having never heard his father sound so desperate before Tyler agrees, "Yeah, Okay."

The mayor gives Tyler his keys, "Here, take my car, it's out back. Caroline, Matt, Stiles goes with him."

The group all look at the mayor before Tyler starts to walk out and the rest follow him.

"I'm not saying that Matt didn't deserve to be up on the float, I'm just saying that as the person who actually danced with you at Miss Mystic it seems a little unfair that..." Stiles' conversation with Caroline is cut off as a piercing noise starts stabbing him in the brain.

"What the hell is that?" Tyler asks as Stiles tries to shield his ears.

"What's the matter?" Caroline asks oblivious.

"That noise!" Tyler yells.

"Wait, what noise?" Matt demands.

"Make it stop!" Stiles yells.

Stiles can barely see as his eyes water from the pain.

Both Tyler and Stiles start to scream as the noise seems to get louder.

"Tyler! Stiles!" Caroline yells.

The car is swerving around on the road as Tyler has let go of the wheel to hold his head.

"Dude, hey! Caroline, the wheel!" Matt tries to say but the car has already crashed into a wall.

Sometime later, Matt and Caroline are out of the car and are watching as the paramedics attend to Stiles and Tyler, who are lying on the ground, unconscious.

"Hey, are you okay?" Matt asks Caroline worriedly.

"I'm fine, I'm fine." Caroline assures him.

"No, they need to check you out." Matt disagrees.

"No, I'm fine, in fine. They're helping Tyler and Stiles." Caroline says.

The paramedic are going through their routines to try and find out what is wrong with their patients when they both check the eyes.

Tyler's eyes turn an amber-gold hue before turning back to brown while Stiles eyes turn a deep dark purple with the whites of the eyes turn black.

"What the hell?!" Both paramedics yell at the same time.

"What's wrong?" Matt asks worriedly.

"The eyes." One of the paramedics say, shaken.

Both paramedics and Matt turn to look at the men lying in the road when Tyler and Stiles suddenly wake up.

"What happened?" Tyler asks looking around.

Stiles just groans, "I feel like I've been hit by a car."

"Dude, don't scare me like that!" Matt yells at Tyler.

"Matt!" Stiles says making the other boy follow Stiles' line of sight.

"Caroline! Guys, over here! Caroline, Wake up!" Matt yells for the paramedics.

Tyler and Stiles walk over to where Matt is sitting, alone in the hospital hallway.

"Hey man, I'm so sorry. Look, I don't even know what happened" Tyler apologises.

"It's okay man. She'll be alright." Matt says, obviously trying to reassure himself.

Tyler sits down next to him while Stiles leans against the wall.

Soon sheriff Forbes arrives causing Matt to shoot up, "What's happening? Is she alright?"

"There was some internal bleeding; they're taking her into surgery." The sheriff admits, sounding terrified.

"What else did they say? Is she going to be, okay?" Matt asks.

"They're gonna do everything they can." She admits causing Matt to sit down looking shell-shocked.

"Tyler, have you talked to you mom?" the sheriff asks causing Stiles to look at her weirdly. Her daughter might die, and she is asking about whether Tyler as talked to his mom...why?

"I left her a message telling her I was here." Tyler assures the sheriff.

"You need to call her." The sheriff says causing Stiles to start shaking his head.

"What is it?" Tyler asks warily.

"...It's you dad." As soon as the words leave the sheriff's mouth Tyler is pulling out his phone and trying to call his mom as he walks down the hallway.

"I hope Caroline makes a full recovery." Stiles tells the sheriff before walking after Tyler.

Stiles and Tyler walk back to the Lockwood mansion, all while Tyler is trying to get through to his mom on the phone.

"Why isn't she answering?" Tyler asks every time his phone doesn't get through.

They eventually make it back to the mansion and they both walk in to find Carol sitting in the sitting room and staring blankly at a wall. Her phone on the table in front of her and buzzing.

"Mom?" Tyler asks hesitantly.

Carol turning her head to look at them both standing in the doorway of the room.

"Boy's." She sounds awful.

Stiles goes to grab her a glass of water from the table in front of her. He hands it to Carol.

"Thank you" Carol says after taking a sip.

"Where's dad?" Tyler asks sounding scared to know the answer.

"Tonight, there was an accident. An electrical fire. Your...your father went to check if there was anyone in the building and...and he didn't make it out." Carol manages to not cry.

Her phone is still buzzing as another person phones her.

"What?" Tyler sounds devastated.

"Where have you been? I thought you father sent you boy's home." Carol asks.

"There was a car accident on the way home, Caroline was injured and is in the hospital. We were waiting for news." Stiles says when it's clear that Tyler isn't going to be able to speak.

"Are you boys both okay?" Carol asks immediately. Her phone is buzzing again with yet another call.

"Were fine." Stiles states.

"Who keeps calling you?" Tyler suddenly asks from where he is sitting next to his mom.

"The town council. They want all these answers that I can't give right now, and they won't stop calling." Carol says as her phone starts buzzing again.

Stiles picks up the phone and answers the call.

"Carol..." a voice says before Stiles interrupts.

"This is Carol Lockwood's phone, and this is Stiles Stilinski speaking. Unfortunately, Carol can't come to the phone right now as a family tragedy has occurred, but I am willing to take a message."

"No, no that's fine I will call you later. Sorry for disturbing you." The voice says.

"Goodbye now." Stiles promptly hangs up on them and when he looks up Carol and Tyler are looking at him with looks of shock.

"I used to work at the police station taking calls." Stiles explains. "Okay so here is the plan. I'm going to take control of the phones and answer any calls while you both get the chance to grieve."

"I can't." Carol denies.

"Yes, you can Carol." Stiles says.

"No, I need to plan the wake." Carol states.

"A wake can happen at any time." Stiles explains but Carol shakes her head.

"No, I'm going to plan the wake. Give me my phone." Carol says making Stiles hands the phone over. She then proceeds to walk out of the room.

"How is she able to do that?" Tyler asks.

"Do what? Stiles queries.

"How is she able to just pull herself back together again?"

"She's still grieving, in fact this is her way of grieving. I remember after my mom died this is exactly what she did. She took control of the funeral arrangements while my dad grieved by drowning himself in a bottle." Stiles explains.

Tyler just nods before saying, "I'm going to go to bed."

"Okay, sleep tight."
