"Okay, why are we here?" Red Arrow asked her brother as they, along with Spartan and Silver Arrow stood in an alley near the community center.
"You didn't tell her about your stalker?" Spartan asked with a smirk, causing Red and Silver Arrow to look at Green Arrow.
"Thanks a lot Spartan. Remind me to recommend you for a triple monitor duty shift at the Hall of Justice, since in case you're forgetting, as a senior member, I can assign extra shifts if needed." Green Arrow said, since in addition to their responsibilities protecting their own cities, all Justice Leaguers took shifts on monitor duty at the Hall of Justice monitoring for League level threats.
"Yeah right, we both know that I'm still on leave from the League. This is my first mission back with Team Arrow." Spartan reminded him.
"Worth a shot. But anyways, the guy he's talking about is Roy Harper. I saved him from Ted Gaynor a few months ago and I admit, he's definitely become a fan and yes, he did cross over into stalking territory, but I saw his commitment while I want to wait until I've gotten you two trained up a little more before I fully bring him into the fold, I have turned him into my eyes and ears in the Glades and my informant. He sent me a message saying that he had a tip about some player in this city about to make some kind of big move and this is the spot I gave him to meet me." Green Arrow said, since he'd set up a system with Roy and it was working well.
"Well, it seems like either he's running late or he's ghosting us. Are we gonna be here much longer? I have a trig exam tomorrow." Silver Arrow said.
"You sure she's being raised with you?" Red Arrow asked her brother.
"Black Canary's influence." Green Arrow said, just playing along.
"Makes sense." Red Arrow agreed as Roy joined them.
"Sorry I'm late and I see you brought company." Roy said, since it was usually just the two of them.
"Roy, I'm sure you've seen Spartan on the news and these are my two new proteges, Red Arrow and Silver Arrow." Green Arrow said.
"Wow, green, red and silver? What were you trying to go for all the Christmas colors?" Roy asked and SIlver Arrow chuckled.
"Very funny." Silver Arrow said.
"You're a little young aren't you? Don't you have a curfew you need to be home by?" Roy asked, since the girl was younger than him.
"Don't make me put an arrow in you." Silver Arrow snapped.
"Especially since she's higher up on the totem pole than you are Roy. Now what's going on." Green Arrow snapped, getting them back on topic.
"I thought you'd like to know that some of my contacts have seen a Gotham crook on your turf." Roy said.
"Which one? I need to let Batman know which one of his playmates decided to come pay me a visit." Green Arrow asked.
"Bane. Apparently he's here for some big deal with another player." Roy said.
"Of all the times for our computer genius to be out of town." Red Arrow said, since Luke was currently in Gotham, visiting his parents.
"He has a good reason for that. But we need to stay focused. Do you have any idea where the meetup is happening?" Green Arrow asked Roy, who shook his head.
"No. Apparently Bane and the other guy are keeping it pretty hush, hush. My guy only knows this because Bane decided to take over his crew's hideout while he's in town." Roy said.
"Give us the location of the hideout, I'll send Katana and White Canary to investigate." Green Arrow said, since those two were the best choices to deal with Bane if he was in town.
"What about us?" Red Arrow asked.
"Spartan, I think we both know someone who might have more information on Bane." Green Arrow said.
"Tavaroff." Spartan said in disgust, since this was the man who'd used Venom to kidnap his pregnant wife and try to blackmail him into working with Ted Gaynor's corrupt organization.
"He's the only person in this city with a connection to Bane's venom, so he might know something." Green Arrow said and Spartan nodded.
"I'm on it." Spartan said as he walked out.
"What about us?" Silver Arrow asked him.
"We check out this hideout for clues, but if things go bad, you both are to bail. Do not try to stay if I order you to leave." Green Arrow said and Red and Silver nodded.
"Hey, can I come with you?" Roy asked.
"No. You're not ready. But maybe soon, you will be." Green Arrow said as the three Arrows fired cable arrows to zip away.
"Damn that is still cool." Roy said as he heard someone walk up behind him.
"You did well." a female voice said and Roy turned to see an asian woman wearing a green suit and a cat mask walk up to him.
"I betrayed him." Roy said, feeling guilty.
"He betrayed you first. Kept stringing you along, making you think that he'd make you his protege when instead he takes on two others, one of them younger than you. You owe him no loyalty and my employer will reward you greatly for it." The woman said, though she could see that he was still conflicted about it, so she took off her mask so he could see her face and look right into her eyes.
"I don't know Cheshire." Roy said, since that was the only name she'd given him as she lifted his chin up so his eyes were looking into hers.
"Call me Jade. And trust me, what you've done has ensured your survival and while my employer will reward you later, maybe I can help make it worth your while now." Jade said as she kissed him, making sure he was still touched by her charms.
