Emily groaned from two stressful things tosay.

1. She had just checked the entire area around the Hotel and nothing that would lead to finding Alastor.

2. Niffty, being the only one that refused to be redeemed (As it would take her away from Alastor), and the fastest maid the hotel has in hand, was freaking out.

"Where is he?! Where is he?!" Niffty shouted as she was pacing back and forth in a blur. "Where are you, sir?!"

"Niffty, freaking out isn't going to help." Emily said.

"But Mr. Alastor is missing!" Niffty said, pausing her pacing. "He's never been gone this long without telling me and I'm worried sick!"

"I'm worried too by making a trench in the middle of the room isn't going to help him!" Emily said firmly. "We need to think about this strategically."

"But what if something bad happened to him?!" Niffty said as she began to cry. "He's the closest thing I have to a family and I don't want to lose him! I can't lose him!"

"He's the Radio Demon, one of the strongest sinners in all of hell. I'm sure he's fine." Emily said.

'Even though I'm worried too, it's a fact that Alastor is the toughest demon I know.' Emily thought as she pulled out a cigarette.

She really needed one right now. Using her fire magic, she lights the end and inhales deeply before blowing the smoke out of her non visible nose.

'I don't know how this day can get much worse.' Emily thought, feeling her body relaxing.

The hotel then shook and Emily closed her eyes in frustration, feeling her stress return.

'Okay... I'm killing someone.' She thought, summoning her sword.

She walked to the door, sword raised and thrusted it downwards. But it was stopped by Carmilla's thumb and pointer finger of her right hand.

"Hmm. This is very spotty workmanship." She said, observing the blade, "Clearly this was not made by my company, and that's not even bringing up the fact that it's worn and the edge of the blade is dulled. This is the work of a sinner."

Emily pulled her sword away.

"It's lasted me around 20 years, so I'd say it's good enough." Emily said, setting it on her shoulder.

"No, it isn't. 20 years is nothing compared to the eternity you and I will live. Give Lucifer my regards. " Carmilla said, handing Emily a box before she then hands her a business card. "And here. If you wish for your sword to be upgraded."

Emily took the card.

'Carmine Industries, best weapons in the 7 rings.' She read before seeing Carmilla's hand twitch a bit.

"You okay, Carmilla?" Emily asked, putting the card away.

"I'm fine... just... been a lot today." Carmilla said.

"The forge right? You must've been rustier than you thought with it, huh?" Emily suggested.

"No. It's not just that." Carmilla said, shaking her head.

"Huh?" Emily asked, before realizing, "Oh... Sera."

"Yes, her." Carmilla said, glancing away. "She's kept her distance since I finished in Heaven and promised to clean up after I left."

"That's it?" Emily asked.

"We do not have a good relationship." Carmilla said, "The fact that we even had that much of a conversation after everything I said is honestly stunning."

"I mean... I kinda understand." Emily said, shrugging. "Sera and I did have a rocky relationship after I fell."

Carmilla looked away, and Emily decided to ask the one thing that's always been on her mind.

"Why did you do it?" She asked.

Carmilla looked at Emily.

"Do what?" Carmilla asked.

"Why did you teach humanity how to forge weapons?" Emily clarified.

Carmilla let out a sigh and walked into the hotel, sitting down on one of the lobby counches.

"Humanity was always going to learn, whether I did it or not, it was in their nature to learn. With learning comes those that learn to hurt others." Carmilla said, before giving a smile, "What they don't state is what happened to the person I taught first."

"What happen to them?" Emily said.

"Well... he was given a similar punishment as Cain, forced to walk the earth, unable to die from age, until he was killed." Carmilla said, placing a hand in her face cheek as she blushed. "And at the end... he ended up proposing to me."

"Wow... ... ...Wait... you mean Zestial is the one that you taught?" Emily asked in surprise, "Wow, God must've had a plan for thag, huh?"

"... You have no idea what God had planned. I can vouch for Lucifer when he says he was a cryptic old bastard, he knew everything; past, present, and future, and would only tell what he felt necessary." Carmilla said, losing her blush. "What he told me... I fear what may happen."

"Wait, you mean you-"

"Know what is coming? Yes. However, I cannot tell. Not because I don't want to... but because God makes it so that anyone he tells, is incapable of telling what will come." Carmilla said as she stood up. "Good luck, Princess... you'll need it."

Carmilla walked back to the door before Emily asked her one last question.

"If I asked, would you help us fight Roo?" Emily asked, making Carmilla halt. "Even if you might know how it ends, you don't know if we can change the future."

"No... I can't." Carmilla said, "Because I've done all I'm allowed to."

"So you're just going to be a puppet of a predetermined fate?" Emily asked with a frown, blowing out cigarette smoke. "Because let me tell you something, that is bullshit. You make your own fate, nobody else."

"Bullshit or not, I have fulfilled my role, and I must go prepare in the event of what may happen." Carmilla said, looking back at Emily.

"Like your husband or daughters getting caught in the crossfire?" Emily asked.

In a single blink, Carmilla was back in front of Emily with a leg raised to her throat and the sharp angelic ballet shoe right against her skin.

"Don't you DARE bring them into this." Carmilla said, her eyes glowing bright red.

Emily didn't look afraid as she held her cigarette on her mouth and slowly moved the deadly shoe away from her person.

"A weaponized bird shoe does not scare me. Because if it did, I wouldn't be planning on fighting against Roo." Emily said.

"That is a death sentence. With how sinful the world is, you will be face a nigh unstoppable force." Carmilla said as she lowers her leg.

"NIGH unstoppable, not completely unstoppable. So I still have a chance." Emily said with a grin.

"You're just as insane as the rest of the Morningstars." Carmilla said, closing her eyes and shaking her head. "I wouldn't be surprised if God created you to be a sibling to the Queen."

"That would've been one of his better decisions." Emily comments with a grin.

"Maybe. Well, perhaps I'll see you again." Carmilla said, walking away.

"Yeah, and maybe not just for my sword." Emily said, glancing at her angelic steel sword.

And like Carmilla said, it does look a bit dull from the years of use.

'Eh, I'll worry about that later.' Emily thought, closing the hotel door.

"Wait! You didn't ask if she's seen Alastor!" Niffty shouted ash she rushed at Emily.

"Because she's been in heaven most of the time he's been gone." Emily said.

"But-But-But-" Niffty said, her lip quivering.

"Plus, she doesn't really like him enough to be worried about him." Emily said as she pats Niffty's head. "But don't worry, we'll find him soon. We just have to look for something that could lead us to him."

"Like what?!" Niffty asked as she had snot coming from her non-visible nose.

"Maybe…we try Cannibal Town? Mama Rosie was his friend long before me. Maybe she could help." Emily suggested as she picked her Niffty and began walking to the door. "Come on, let's go see."

"…Can I ride on your head as we go?" Niffty asked softly, wiping away her snot and tears.

"Sure, Nif." Emily said with a smile.

Emily put the smaller demon in her head as left the hotel, heading to the Cannibal District on foot.

Hopefully to find Alastor.

'I really how that Rosie knows where you are, Al.' Emily thought with a small gulp. 'Because if she doesn't... then I don't know what to do.'
