The shower was going as she sat up scrolling in emails. This was their routine for the past six months after their paths crossed.

In her mind, she wondered 'was this enough?', but she does not dare ask that. She knew the boundaries of the situationship.

"How in the fuck did I end up here", she thought and sighed.

His voice broke her thoughts.

"Hey, you going to the show tonight? Steph would love to see you".

"Naw, I'm flying out tonight".

"Oh", he said dressing. He chooses to hide his disappointment.

It was one of the things he learned over time, especially now. The price to pay as the boss, at least one of them. If he had his way, he wouldn't make this same mistake twice. Life had a way of making choices for you. You may not like them, but what was the alternative? Too many enemies to take that risk.

"Well, should I make plans for two weeks then?"

"No, I'm going to be busy with my new client for the next month remember?", she said.

He put his head down finally letting the reality of this situation was. She saw his reaction. It was best this way, they both knew it. She finished getting dressed to leave, and he grabbed her hand.

"It's ok. We have New Year's Night, right?", she said smiling.

He nodded as she left. He sat in that hotel room, also wondering how in the hell did he end up here. Scrolling on his social media, he saw an article on her, and there was the reminder.

"The Breakout PR and Social Media Manager taking over Hollywood"

It was then he thought, "Thanks Vince. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have met Kamaria in the first place".

Looking at the time, the knock broke his thoughts. It was time to head out. It was time for business. Maybe later he'll workout and text her. He answered the door to the driver.

"Mr. Levesque, you ready".

"Always".
