"Tell them that "I am here?" What is that supposed to mean?"
"It's supposed to mark my debut at the sports festival."
Izuku and Akira were packing their things up as they prepared to leave for today as The young Santo put his backpack over his shoulder.
"Oh your dad was here by the way."
"What?" Akira almost knocked into shoji who looked at him briefly before akira apologized. "What do you mean my dad was here?" Akira whipped his head towards his green haired friend before shrugging. "I don't really know. All might didn't tell me."
"I feel like i should be worried about this.." Akira muttered as he looked at izuku who already had his backpack on. Making completely sure that the all might pin wasn't scratched.
"I wouldn't worry too much about it." Izuku turned to akira who still had a look of nervousness on his face. For his entire life up and until now, Izuku had never seen such a look on his brother's face up. Akira, by izuku's terms, was an honorable and brave guy that never backed down in a fight.
When they first met was an example.
The freckled boy was about to say something comforting towards his friend before uraraka gasped slightly after sliding open the door.
Both the boys looked to see caused such a reaction. Only to see that the entire hallway was crowded with other students was some was poking their heads to see the rest of 1-A.
"What's going on here!?" Ochako asked as Akira and izuku crept a little closer to see up close. "Why are they here for?" Akira mumbled to himself quietly as Bakugo, purposefully, bumped shoulders into him.
"Isn't obvious, Frenchie? Thought You'd be smart enough to understand." Bakugo stated as Akira looked at him and izuku glared with intention to throw him across the room.
To be honest...
This was bakugo on a Good day.
"They're checking out the competition since we're the class that attacked by those groups of villains." Bakugo then turned slightly to face akira specifically before adding,
"And we just so happen to have the idiot who thought could "stall time" until the heroes got there. Nice choice for friends, deku."
Izuku lunged a bit before Akira had place a firm grip on his friend's shoulder. He almost let go of it once bakugo called the rest of the students, "cannon fodder"
"Huh. So it's true. You lot sure are modest. Are you all like this guy?" Suddenly a guy with purple messy hair popped out from the crowd and walked Infront. He scratched his hair and Akira quickly noted the bags under his eyes.
"Are all of the hero course like this?"
Before Bakugo could open his big mouth, Akira quickly moved aside, subconsciously pushing bakugo out of the way.
"Of course not! We're not all like him!" Akira exclaimed as he attempted to do some damage control as he put on a coy smile.
"Ah! Of course it be you. Couldn't handle being Dr. Santo's son so he decided to up your reputation by fighting off a couple of villains?" The purple haired boy said as Akira's smile faltered.
The reason why everyone knew that it was Akira that fought that abomination of a villain wad because his classmate, hagakure, went and blabbed about it to almost everyone.
Akira chuckled before raising his hands up in a defensive way before resuming, "To be honest, I wasn't intending on fighting. I was just stalling."
"Yeah? Stalling until your spiky haired friend came to rescue you?"
He's not my friend, motherfucker.
Akira blinked.
Hard.
What was that just now? Akira just stopped talking in case he did end up saying that. All the while the purple haired kid was just... Yapping.
"Depending on the rules of the sports festival, they'll consider to transfer us to the hero course.. the same will probably go in reverse."
He then turned towards bakugo before speaking in a monotone voice, "Checking out the competition? Well any other time then this huh? It's about time someone knocks the hero course off it's high horse"
"So therefore, consider this a declaration of war."
Oh how daring.
Akira was still in his thoughts before some other daredevil popped out of the crowd and exclaimed how he wanted to check out the class that got attacked by the villains only to see arrogant bastards.
Akira really hoped he wasn't one of them or hoping the guy was just referring to bakugo and the purple haired dude.
On sync, Akira, ida, izuku and ochako glared at bakugo who just shrugged and shoved past the group of angry students.
"Where'd you think you're going!? Thanks to you, we got an angry mob here!" Kirishima exclaimed as he grabbed Akira's shoulder.
"Whatever! Doesn't matter as long as i make it to the top." Bakugo mumbled as before he fully left, he gave akira one last look before leaving.
A look that clearly stated,
"I'll beat you."
Akira had decided not to go on a walk with izuku this time. Prompting his brother to go walk with ida and uraraka instead since he needed to do something.
Standing Infront of his family's business, Akira stared at the doors of the Santo Foundation.
To put it simply, The Santo foundation was a scientific company that had hands in many different fields. The original owner, his great grandfather, had created this foundation in hopes of making the Santo name more well known.
The leadership of the foundation changes by each member. First it was his great grandfather, his grandma and now his father was the current leader. Akira made it passed the doors as he quickly noted just how... busy things had gotten since he was here.
He looked around before spotting a familiar ash blonde man walk past him as Akira quickly whipped his head around.
"Ah! Bubaigawara!" Akira exclaimed as the man quickly turned around to see the young Santo. Bubaigawara immediately smiled upon seeing the boy.
"Ah! Hey everyone! Santo is here!"
Almost everyone looked and immediately started greeting the young santo. The majority of the workers here were either quirkless or mutant individuals. The Santo foundation also provided as a safe haven for any members of society that were casted out due to their status.
Akira was starting to feel a little overstimulated by the amount of questions he was being asked. So bubaigawara grabbed the young santo's and dragged him out as he waved away the other workers.
"You here to your dad? I think he's Working in the biochemistry section."
Akira nodded slightly as bubaigawara lead him towards the older Santo's location. Once the pair got there bubaigawara mentioned on how he was supposed to go help Hikiishi and himiko in the medical section of the facility before waving each other off and bidding one of other a good day.
Akira slowly opened the door to see fujimoto working at his desk, not even noticing that his son had already snuck upon him. Fujimoto was mumbling something incoherent and only snapped out of it when Akira placed a hand on his father's shoulder.
"Dad."
Fujimoto jolted and stood up before noticing it was his son who surprised him. "Christ! Why are you footsteps so quiet?" Fujimoto asked as he genuinely seemed intrigued and confused.
"You taught me?"
"Oh right."
Fujimoto and Akira stood in awkward silence as Akira's eyes wondered to a picture frame of a woman on his dad's desk.
"Mom." Fujimoto whipped his head towards the portrait before grabbing it and sharing it with his son. "You miss her a lot... do you?" Fujimoto's eyebrows burrowed as he placed the portrait back down on his desk.
"i need to show you something." Fujimoto stated as he gestured his son towards an area of the room that was a glass wall and pitch black on the other side.
"You see it?"
Akira squinted his eyes before tilting his head to get a better view but nothing. He turned towards his dad but before he could say anything. A loud bang occurred behind him as Akira jumped and his eyes widened like frisbees.
"Ugly son-of-bitch, isn't he?"
The nomu that nearly crushed akira to death back in the USJ slammed and banged or the glass making direct eye contact with Akira while occasionally screaming and roaring.
Nearly determined to kill the young boy.
Fujimoto instinctively pushed aside akira and got Infront of him as he pressed a button that released red smoke. The nomu was still trying to escape it's prison before passing out.
Akira stared at it's unconscious body as fujimoto stepped up and explained to his son what exactly the creature was.
"This thing is called by what that... Shigaraki fellow said, a nomu. Apparently someone was sick enough to dig up corpses and change the poor soul's image."
Fujimoto glanced at Akira before adding,
"This one... had a live host." Akira's face dropped as fujimoto continued. "Super regeneration, super strength, shock absorption. Nobody shouldn't have this many quirks."
"We both know who's behind this, don't you?" Fujimoto asked as akira had a look that was a mixture of shock and disgust.
And anger.
"Akira... to make you feel better, the man before you wasn't a good man."
"I don't care about that!"
Akira jolted as he looked at his dad before getting up. "Even if he was horrible person... nobody should've endured this!" Akira exclaimed as he gestured towards the once human being that was still unconscious.
"Is that why he's here in the biochemistry wing? You'll fix him right?" Fujimoto looked at his son before looking away. Akira may have inherited many traits by fujimoto but... that kind-hearted compassion and worry for others.
All Belonged to shimi.
"I'll.. see what i can do." Fujimoto said quietly as he covered his mouth before looking at the nomu on the floor. "Guess this thing will be my greatest challenge yet!"
Both akira and fujimoto stared in silence at the nomu before akira pulled something out of his backpack and handed it to fujimoto.
It was a bento box.
"All might said you looked thinner than usual so.. here."
"Uh.. no, no.. it's alright I'm-"
"Just take the food."
Akira muttered as he put the box in his father's hands before Giving his dad a look that was similar to his deceased wife.
"For me?"
Fujimoto grumbled before waving away Akira. "Yeah i got it! Just go home and study and practice for that.. sports festival that's coming up."
Akira's eyes gleamed before fujimoto sighed. "I promise I'll watch you and you better beat midoriya. It's the least you can do for telling him about one for all without telling me."
Akira chuckled as he backed away before leaving. Fujimoto watched as his son walked away as he struggled internally.
"Hey! hang on!"
Akira looked back as fujimoto was trying to find the words but instead of saying what he wanted to say, he ended up saying,
"Thanks for the food."
Akira smiled before bidding his father farewell as fujimoto sighed and sat back down on his desk. He looked at the bento box before looking at the portrait of his wife.
"Hmph.. you would've loved the way our boy turned out, shimi"
Fujimoto muttered as he placed the portrait down and ate his food.
2 weeks passed since that conversation between the two Santos and All that akira and izuku had been doing was training and studying for the upcoming event.
Akira felt a little nervous. His dad was going to watch him perform on live television! This was going to so good that'll-
"Santo."
Akira looked to see that todoroki was walking towards him. Akira got up as well as he actually wanted to say a few things since in those 2 weeks, todoroki had been freaking akira out.
He'd occasionally catch todoroki staring at him or walking too close for comfort.
"Oh! todoroki! Hey look man, i just wanna tell you that-
"You're aware your father is sponsoring this year's festival right?"
Akira stopped as he looked at todoroki in a bewilderment way. Why would his dad, someone who openly detested heroes besides all might and of course Akira, sponsor the sports festival?
"What? why would-" Before Akira could finish, todoroki interrupted him.
"There's no doubt, physically, you're stronger than me but if we're looking at quirks, I'd say I'm more superior than you are."
Akira felt uncomfortable bad as he attempted to Walk away from the conversation but was stopped when todoroki grabbed him by the shoulder and firmly held Akira in place.
"I'm fully well aware that your old man has his eyes on you. Same goes for midoriya." Izuku, who was watching this scene unfold quickly stepped in as he tried to defuse the situation.
"Todoroki! calm down! Do you even hear yourself?" Todoroki turned his attention to izuku now, "Don't act like we're all friends here because we're not." Todoroki poked a finger at izuku's chest before looking at the two boys.
"Just know this, I will beat both of you."
Kaminari, who was watching the interaction with bakugo, chuckled as he couldn't believe that the three strongest in the class were declaring war as kirishima, god bless his soul, tried to defuse the situation until todoroki smacked his hand off his shoulder.
"Like i said, I am not here to be anyone's friend."
"Alright." Akira stated causing everyone in the room to look at him.
"You wanna know something, before you started going off, i was actually excited because i was planning to have a bit of fun and make my dad proud but since you wanna declare war on me and izuku.."
"Then by all means, I'll be the one that beats you."
"Same thing goes for me. I'm not entirely sure why you needed to tell us this but you're right. You are clearly stronger and I'm not even sure if i can measure you or Akira in skill." Izuku muttered as todoroki narrowed his eyes and Akira along with kirishima, once again, god bless his innocent soul, tried to cheer izuku before the green haired boy continued.
"But despite all that.. I am not going to fall behind... and since everyone is aiming at the top.. Lemme say this." Izuku looked up at todoroki as akira watched on in amazement.
"I will beat you too!"
"All right. Hope to see you two in the ring."
Both Akira and izuku waited until todoroki left the room before looking at each other.
"Christ... You've grown, izuku."
"I'm not even going to lie to you... i was nervous saying all that."
Kirishima groaned as he rubbed his temple. "You guys are something else entirely." Kirishima stated before chuckling nervously at the two boys.
Before akira could answer, he caught ashido looking at him as ashido immediately looked away. He could've sworn he saw a hint of blush. Maybe.
It was hard to tell since ashido was pink.
But Akira didn't have any time to ponder since they were called out towards the stadium outside. The entire of class 1-A walked out into the fields as akira looked around to see just how packed everything was.
Izuku, on the other hand, looked forward as far from them, Sat all might watching as izuku put on a determined and stoic face.
"All right all might, I am here.."
