"Hokuto Shijima is on route to Sector TF 13. Masumi Kotsu has entered sector ZX97. Yaiba Todo's location is unknown. It seems he is currently outside of the mission's specific area." the LDS employees report as they observe the people in question and the areas their in from the control room.
"Get him back immediately!" Nakajima orders.
" "Leave it to us!" they said! This is why I was against using students from the Duel School..." Nakajima mutters to himself.
"Continue monitoring them." Reji orders as he comes in.
"President!" Nakajima says.
"They will show themselves." Reji muses.
At the same time Yuya and her friends are heading back home after Yuya's duel with Mieru.
"Let's have a huge party today to celebrate my qualification for the Junior Youth Championship!" Sora suggests as he hops around joyfully.
"Not yet!" Yuya says confusing and surprising Sora.
"I've still got one left, so the celebration is on hold until I finish that!" Yuya explains.
"What!? But if you don't qualify, we don't get a party?!" Sora says disappointed.
"Why you!" Yuya says offended as she jokingly grabs him in a headlock.
"I really want to eat some cake!" Sora joyfully exclaims even while in that position.
"Once I qualify, I'll let you eat cake until you're sick of it!" Yuya promises.
Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi watch their interaction with amusement, while Yuzu just stares at her Fusion card with an uncertain look as she remembers Yuto telling her that this card doesn't suit her.
She then looks up and spots Masumi running into an alley and starts running toward her.
"Where are you going Yuzu?" Tatsuya asks as she runs past him, his question catching Yuya and Sora's attention.
"I remembered something I have to do!" Yuzu says as she keeps running.
"Something to do?" Yuya wonders.
"Is she getting the cake?!" Sora wonders greedily with sparkles in his eyes.
"Sorry, go back without me!" Yuzu shouts back at them.
At the same time Masumi nervously walks into an empty street while rows of crows look down on her from the roofs. She stops though when she sees Shun standing in her way.
"Are you alone?" Shun asks making her flinch.
"Where are the brat and the girl from last time?" Shun asks with narrowed eyes.
"I don't know." Masumi says clenching her fist, while Yuzu runs into an alleyway.
"I always thought that it was the black-masked man... the one who attacked Professor Marco! What did you do with Professor Marco!?" Masumi angrily questions.
"Marco?" Shun asks as the name doesn't ring any bells.
"It's the name of the LDS teacher who taught me Fusion Summoning!" Masumi elaborates.
"Oh him? He wasn't that good. His lack of combat experience showed in his weak and flimsy-" Shun says, not sounding as if he feels guilty.
"SHUT UP!" Masumi angrily yells at him.
"Professor Marco is my teacher! I won't forgive you for belittling him!" Masumi declares.
"It wasn't just Marco! Everyone from LDS was flimsy and pathetic. In not one of their Duels did I sense an iron determination or steeled strength!" Shun says.
"Then does that mean everyone from the other cases-?!" Masumi realizes shocked, while Reji and Nakajima observe them from the control room.
"I did it. If you say you won't forgive me then... Sate your grudge by defeating me!" Shun declares as he puts on and activates his duel disk.
"President. The team is at your command." Nakajima says awaiting orders
"Target located, Hokuto, Yaiba, get here fast!" Masumi contacts her friends over her duel disk.
"Roger!" Hokuto replies as he runs to her location.
"Sorry, finish the rest on your own!" Yaiba tells Gongenzaka as he deactivates and takes off his duel disk and runs off, leaving Gongenzaka confused behind.
Meanwhile Yuzu keeps walking to the alleyway before Yuto steps forward, startling her.
"I cannot let you go further." Yuto tells her.
"So you called your friends? But you underestimate me if you think two more will suffice." Shun says unintimidated.
"Don't you worry! You're already well known at LDS. Since I knew what you looked like, I was sent as bait walking around town waiting for you to show. Simply put you fell for our trap!" Masumi declares with a smug smile.
"What she said! Don't you worry Masumi we're definitely going to avenge Professor Marco!" Hokuto tells her as he arrives.
"Let's finish this up before the top team shows up! If we manage to catch the criminal ourselves, our opportunities will widen!" Yaiba says as he runs in on them.
"Yaiba... Hokuto..." Masumi says grateful for her friends.
"How about we go with battle royal rules? None of us can draw or enter battle on our first turn." Yaiba suggests.
"Fine. I'll finish you and your friends all at once." Shun declares unfazed.
"I don't want my comrade to be interrupted." Yuto tells Yuzu as he stands in her way.
"Your comrade... you mean the one from back then? Wait, don't tell me he's fighting Masumi now?" Yuzu asks concerned.
Meanwhile Masumi, Yaiba and Hokuto put on and activate their duel disks.

"I Special Summon another Vanishing Lanius due to the effects of the two already on the Field!" Shun explains as the third copy appears.

"Then I set two cards and end my turn!" Shun says as his fecedowns materialize. All the while Reji observes him from the control room.
"Please stop him!" Yuzu begs Yuto.
"Didn't you stop him back then too? Why this time..." Yuzu asks.
"You don't need to know. I don't want to involve you." Yuto tells her.
Yuzu tries to run past him but is stopped as he grabs her by the wrist.
"I don't want you to get hurt!" Yuto tells her.

"You don't want me to get hurt? Why are you saying things like that to me while you go and hurt other people?!" Yuzu questions making Yuto flinch.
"Are you saying it's fine if Masumi gets hurt?!" Yuzu asks him as she pulls her arm out of his grip, making Yuto look down with an ashamed look.
"Just who are you!? No, all of you!" Yuzu asks.
"Let's do this!" Yaiba says as he starts.

"I use another one of Sacred Pleiades's Overlay Units to activate its effects! I send the last Vanishing Lanius back to your hand!" Hokuto declares as Shun adds his last monster to his hand.

"How's that? Now your hand is gone too!" Yaiba taunts.
"Well done! It seems they weren't just talk after all." Nakajima observes, while Reji still watches with an unchanged expression.
"Answer me! Who are you? What are you after?" Yuzu asks again.
"We're after our comrades... Saving our dear comrades who have been captured by our enemy!" Yuto explains as he looks up.
"Captured comrades... Is that... Ruri?" Yuzu asks shocking Yuto.
"We might even be stronger than LDS's top team!" Yaiba exclaims.
"We could be! If we take out this guy we'll be promoted to their ace members in an instant!" Hokuto says with arrogance.
"Then let's end this in an instant! I end my turn! Masumi, you finish it up!" Yaiba says as he ends his turn.
"Thank you, Yaiba... Hokuto! From this turn onward I can draw! My turn!" Masumi says as she draws and starts her turn.

At the sight of the fusion monster Shun narrows his eyes furiously.
"That person... he looked at me and called me Ruri." Yuzu reminds Yuto of their encounter at the harbor.
"Is Ruri your captured comrade? Do I look like her...?" Yuzu asks.
"That's what I thought at first. "Why is Ruri here...?" But you are not Ruri. You didn't know who I was back then and Ruri would never learn the enemy's summoning method!" Yuto explains as he takes of his mask.
"Enemy?" Yuzu questions.
"Gem-Knight Lazuli's effect activates! When it is sent to the Graveyard by an effect, I can return one Normal Monster from my Graveyard to my hand! I return Gem-Knight Lapis to my hand! Furthermore, I activate the effect of Gem-Knight Fusion in my Graveyard! By banishing one Gem-Knight monster from my Graveyard, I can return Gem-Knight Fusion to my hand! I banish Gem-Knight Lazuli from my Graveyard." Masumi explains as she adds her cards back to her hand.
"Here comes another! I activate Gem-Knight Fusion! I fuse Gem-Knight Alexand, Gem-Knight Emeral and Gem-Knight Lapis in my hand! Gem with facets of day and night! Brilliant emerald of good fortune! Become one with the blue stone amd create a new light! Fusion Summon! Supreme radiance who illuminates everything! Level 9! Gem-Knight Master Dia!" Masumi chants as her monster appears.
"Gem-Knight Master Dia's Attack points increase by the number of Gem-Knight monsters on the Graveyard times 100!" Masumi explains.

"This is LDS's Fusion Summoning!" Hokuto declares, while Shun looks furious at the fusions.
"Fusion Summoning is your enemy you said...? The reason I learned Fusion Summoning was to protect the school... Because I wanted to protect my friends!" Yuzu declares, making Yuto flinch in surprise.
"Lapis Lazuli's effect activates! Once per turn, by sending another Lapis Lazuli from my Extra Deck to the Graveyard, I can deal damage to my opponent... equal to the number of Extra Deck monsters on the field times 100 plus half of Lapis Lazuli's Attack points!" Masumi declares as she discards another copy of her monster.
Gem-Knight Master Dia (LV.9) (3200 - 3300ATK/2500DEF)
"There are six of them on the Field!" Yaiba says.
"Lapis Lazuli's Attack points are 2400!" Hokuto says.
"Therefore you're going to take 600 plus 1200, 1800 points of damage!" Masumi declares as her monster fires a light blue sphere from its chest orb at Shun.
Shun: 4000 - 2200 LP
"Now the finishing blow!" Hokuto says.
"Finish him Masumi!" Yaiba says.
"I activate Gem-Knight Master Dia's effect! It can banish a Level 7 or lower Gem-Knight monster from my Graveyard and gain its effects! I banish Lapis Lazuli and activate Master Dia's newly acquired effect! I send my third Lapis Lazuli to the Graveyard! And with six monsters plus half of Master Dia's Attack points you take 2250 points of damage!" Masumi declares as her monster swings its sword and blasts a shockwave toward Shun.
"That's it! We won!" Hokuto says.
"From my Graveyard I activate the Trap Card, Raid Raptors - Readiness! By banishing this card from my Graveyard I can make my life points 10 amd negate any damage!" Shun declares as a barrier forms around him and deflects Master Dia's blast.
Shun: 2200 - 10 LP
"Dam it! He stuck it out!" Yaiba curses.
"But he only has 10 measly life points! If Masumi attacks..." Hokuto arrogantly points out.
"Due to Readiness's effect, all battle damage this turn is also nullified." Shun explains.
"Then even if she attacks..." Hokuto realizes.
"I end my turn." Masumi says frustrated.
"As I thought, I don't feel an iron determination or steeled strength in your Dueling!" Shun says as his eyes narrow with hatred.
"What was that?!" Yaiba questions rather offended.
"I'm amazed you can run your mouth when you're this badly beat!" Hokuto says having regained his arrogance.
"That's right, because we were always badly beaten and fighting on the edge." Shun says.
"We?" Yaiba asks confused.
"What's this guy going on about?" Hokuto says with his usual amount of ignorance.
"But we always had to stand up again! And finally overwhelming and eradicating our enemies! MY TURN!" Shun furiously screams as the crows flee the area.

"I Overlay the three Vanishing Lanius's in my Graveyard! Obscured falcon, raise your claws sharpened by adversity! Spread your wings of rebellion! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Raid Raptors - Rise Falcon!" Shun chants as his ace appears.
Raid Raptors - Rise Falcon (Rank.4) (O.U.3) (100ATK/2000DEF)
"100 Attack points...?" Hokuto says shocked by how weak it seems.
"This card can attack all Special Summoned monsters on the field." Shun explains as his monster hovers above him.
"What was that "eradicate" nonsense about? There's no way you can beat us with that many attack points!" Yaiba declares.
"I activate Rise Falcon's effect. By using one Overlay Unit, it gains Attack points equal to those of all of my opponents Special Summoned monsters!" Shun declares as an Overlay Unit explodes over his opponents monsters making energy rise from them and go to Rise Falcon which is covered in flames.
Raid Raptors - Rise Falcon (Rank.4) (O.U.3 - 2) (100 - 16400ATK/2000DEF)
"1-16400!?" Hokuto says in horror.
"No way!" Masumi says shocked.
"Seriously?!" Yaiba exclaims shocked.
"Battle Phase! Raid Raptors - Rise Falcon! Rend and tear all of our enemies! Brave Claw Revolution!" Shun furiously orders as his monster soars through the sky before crashing down on all of his opponents monsters simultaneously.

Masumi, Yaiba and Hokuto are brutally blown away and crash to the ground falling unconscious while Shun just looks at them without any sort of pity.
"We, too, are fighting to protect our comrades. In order to end this conflict, and to create a world where no one has to hurt! I don't want to involve you in that conflict. But if you have no choice but to fight, I want you to survive. Even if that means using Fusion Summoning!" Yuto tells Yuzu.
"The you who is trying to become stronger to protect your friends... The you who is trying to change yourself isn't wrong." Yuto tells her making her eyes widen as Yuya told her something similar earlier.
"I'll continue fighting. With Ruri and my comrades. In order to save our future!" Yuto declares.
"You're a lot like Ruri..." Yuto muses before turning around to leave.
"Wait! Tell me! Who is Ruri?" Yuzu asks as wind starts to blow into the alleyway.
"Ruri is one of our comrades, and Shun's younger sister." Yuto tells her.
"What about you? What is your name?" Yuzu asks him.
"I'm Yuto." he says properly introducing himself.
"Yuto.." Yuzu mutters as the wind intensifies and she covers her eyes. When she looks again he is gone without a trace.
After sunset, Shun stands above the beaten and unconscious bodies of his opponents with a cold look in his eyes. When he hears noise behind him he turns around and sees Nakajima and five LDS members standing there.
"Took you long enough... But I'm sick of fighting small fry! Bring me your boss!" Shun demands.
"If you want me I'm right here." Reji says as his employees step aside so he can walk past them.
"And you are...?" Shun asks.
"Reji Akaba. Leo Corporation's current president." Reji introduces himself.
"Reji... Akaba..." Shun says with narrowed eyes.
"The fact that you continue to assault parties related to Leo Corporation such as LDS in Maiami city means you wish to meet me. Am I mistaken?" Reji deduces.
"You're... Reji Akaba... The son of Leo Akaba? I've been waiting for this moment. Now come at me! Duel me!" Shun says with a satisfied smirk.
"Before that let me ask you... as to why you're fighting me." Reji questions.
"I don't need to answer that!" Shun retorts.
"It's most likely to save your comrades." Reji muses.
"The girl collapsed behind you... testified that you said this when she first encountered you, you were asking for someone named Ruri. From there, I deduced that Ruri is to you... no to all of you a dear comrade. And it would seem that she is currently captured by your enemy. And even now? Ruri has yet to escape from the enemy's clutches. That's why you are continuing to attack LDS like this." Reji summarizes.
At that Shun remembers his conversation with Yuto the night before.
"She is not Ruri. That girl didn't know who either of us were, and on top of that she learned Fusion in front of my very eyes. There is no way our comrade, and your sister... would ever learn Fusion with a smile on her face!" Yuto told Shun.
Back in the present.
"There is no doubt that Ruri is still in captivity now. But I will save her! In order to do that...I just need you!" Shun declares.
