I'd thought I'd do a little early Christmas gift and post the CCC half of the Lunar Mare Duology to Cypher Extra. Will work on the rest sometime next year. Enjoy.

She ran as fast as her legs could carry her. The shadows swallowed everything behind her as Hakuno Kishinami leapt over a chasm. She recalled these shadows engulfing the entire school, taking every Servant and Master into itself. Berserker and Saber were already taken in by it and Hakuno fell into some pit as fragments of data were also thrown within it. From what she gathered from the NPCs living in this part of the Moon Cell, the Far Side was a trash bin of sorts and these unwanted characters or objects from the Near Side were sent to be deleted or thrown away here.
She fell in here by accident and it was her only way of escaping the pursuing shadow. She lost count of the days (years) of eluding the persistent little bugger for the life of her. In this Imaginary Space, time had no flow. It was a never-ending loop of the evening sun and it exhausted her mentally with the hideouts she hid in, the unusual enemy programs she slayed with Verdant Wyvern her katana to procure this side's currency Sakuraments (given they resemble a certain underclassman on the bills) and obtain nourishment to sustain her mentality.
It wore away at her, with each passing 'day' the shadows destroy her hideouts and limited her intake of money and food. She can't keep this up for much longer before her body shuts down and forces her to a deep sleep to recover. She knows whoever sent these shadows was toying with her. Waiting for the right moment to strike. Her blade can harm the shadows, but they won't make a move unless she rests. She sat down in an alleyway and put her back against the wall, looking up at the evening sky as she began to slowly rest her weary eyes.
The growls from her sword echoed into her mind as she discovered something interesting about the blade. The Rathian that she killed, and its parts used to forge the weapon had become bound to her spiritually as a sentient weapon. The Queen of the Land had been supporting her from within as she alerted Hakuno of the shadows approaching…along with footsteps.
"Ufufu…after running for nearly thirty years here she finally gave up. Most others would give up after-!"
Instantly Hakuno's blade was against the target's throat as Hakuno's exhausted and partially deranged brown eyes glared at the shocked purple ones. Hakuno's arm wrapped around the girl's waist tightly as their faces were too close for the other girl's comfort. "I…finally…" Hakuno rasped, her exhaustion had finally caught up to her, causing her to go limp as the two girls fell. Hakuno resting in the girl's bosom as sleep claimed her.
"Alright senpai," the girl spoke, comforting the sleeping girl in her arms. "Let's enjoy a nice dream, shall we?" she smirked with faint redness dusting her cheeks.
/?/
Defiance.
The girl fell in the sea of nothingness, its pressure close to erasing her very existence. But her sword was still in hand as she fell into the darker depths of the hellish sea of the Far Side, the queen's cries reminding her whom she was as she struggled in the dark to regain a sense of self.
Her captor had placed her in a dream that was intended to loop for eternity. But her stubborn will forced her to escape and fall into the darker depths as she clings to her identity. She felt a powerful presence, a Servant behind her closed eyes.
"How amusing. Even as you prepare to lose yourself, you have something you still cannot forget?" the voice began, his tone filled with power and amusement as he was looking down at her. Don't ask how she knows, it's obvious with the tone of voice filled with pure ego like Saber's that he's looking down at her like some mere commoner.
"Despite your mediocrity, you carry a powerful desire strong to wake me from my bored induced slumber."
Hakuno's left arm twitched, and she knew she needed to forge a contract asap if she were to ever get out of this hellhole, she had thrown herself in. "C-Co…" her voiced rasp as she forced her vocal cords to work. "C-contract?" she asked from her closed eyes as she presented her left arm, the one containing the Command Seals as she heard her heartbeat rapidly in her chest.
"Hoh? You would risk everything to contract with me?" the voice sounded thoroughly amused. "Let it be known that I do not take commoners well. I do not permit them to converse, look or question me." He warned.
"…Then as your Master I command you!" Hakuno shot back as she sacrificed three of her Command Seals to acquire these permissions. Then laughter filled the air as the absolute being in front of her permitted it. Opening her eyes and floating upright in a sea of stars did she stare at a knight in gold. Golden blond hair, blood red eyes and an aura of absolute power by presence alone caused her to tense as Verdant Wyvern hissed in her mind of the dangerous Servant in front of her.
"Very well, with the price of your three Command Seals I shall permit you to speak with me! I shall permit you to question the king! You shall permit to gaze upon me!" the man boasted arrogantly as he looked at her.
The girl, Hakuno Kishinami was plain in all things in terms of appearance. Her face was plain, her eyes plain brown yet held a wonderous gaze within them that resembled stars, and her voice was pleasant enough for the king to tolerate. Her hair-!
Parts of her hair were golden yellow like that woman he fought in a different Grail War in a different time. This was a result of a dormant power just slowly beginning to awaken within her. How interesting…
"What class are you? I'm sorry but, you don't look like any Servant I've ever seen before." Hakuno questioned him as the Golden King frowned.
"Do not lump me in with those low-class Heroic Spirits! I have no 'class' to speak of. For I am the first and absolute king. Amongst heroes, I am the King of Heroes, Gilgamesh." He introduced himself as Hakuno widened her eyes.
"The King of Heroes…does that mean you know Enkidu by any chance!? He was my Servant forced into the Berserker class and-!" she froze as she saw the Golden King glare at her with what she presumed anger.
"You claim that Enkidu was summoned to the Holy Grail War as a Servant? Impossible. Death would be too merciful for your insolence girl." Gilgamesh growled out as Hakuno was alarmed.
"It's the truth. What kind of claylike being with absurd brute strength and shapeshifting could I refer to then!" she demanded as she stared down Gilgamesh evenly. It was a stare off and then she saw the king smile. She didn't know it, but King of Heroes had a special form of clairvoyance that allowed him to see everything past, present, and future. He gazed upon her past and beheld that indeed Enkidu was summoned by her as a Berserker before sacrificing themselves to save her, defying the Moon Cell's orders in the process.
It was unexpected but welcomed. To be contracted with the Master of his only friend that she had managed to summon despite the impossible odds. Even the sword by her side was unusual and a rare treasure of itself. He's never seen a blade housing a powerful beast within it before with materials not of this world. This girl would be quite amusing to be alongside for this newfound journey.
Very well, he will permit it. His friend willingly aided this girl with a degree of fondness and if circumstances were different, then his friend would be fighting alongside him with this woman he had contracted with on a whim.
