Whats up everyone, welcome to my first fanfiction.
I have always been wanting to write one of these so I did and here it is, hope you enjoy.
Chapter 1. Hit By A Piano
Welp dying sucked a lot, you know you never really expect just walking your daily commute to school while getting hit by a falling piano.
I mean like seriously? A piano, and I wasn't even in the city! It just fell from out of nowhere!
Im kinda more worried about how my parents will react to this
Oh well not like it'll matter much because all ive been able to see is this dumb screen that wont load in this dark abyss.

Man, this screen is taking way too long to load. I feel like I've been here forever, is there anything I can do to make it go faster?

Ok guess i'll just be waiting here for awhile lon-

Wait, what?
The blue loading screen in front of me finally loaded and the first thing it did was congratulating me for dying. I mean you don't just congratulate someone for dying, that's just messed up.
Is this some kind of mistake or joke?
[No, due to your untimely death you have been given a new start]
Untimely death? Given a new start? Would you give me some more information please.
[You see you were supposed to live up to 96 and die peacefully in your sleep, instead a mistake happened and you died 79 years too early. So as an apology you have been given a new start]
So my death was a mistake and I would have lived a long happy life but instead I got hit by a flying piano in the middle of the suburbs!?

Alright then I guess you can just say yes to that…
Can you further explain what this new start will be? Like will it be reincarnation in some random place or do I get a choice?
[You do not have a choice but due to the way you died you have been given this setup menu where you can create yourself a new body, pick a different race, and you can freely edit in 1 ability that you would like to take with you]
Wow alright, right into the action but one more question before I get started, can I write a letter to my family that I have left behind?

Wow there really isn't a lot of stuff to choose from, I would really enjoy experiencing something different so let's go with random!
[Understood rolling for random race… Rare race 9 tailed fox has been rolled]
Alright let's go I got a rare race!
[Notice due to 9 tailed foxes only have the female gender your characters gender will permanently be locked as female]
Wait wait wait! What do you mean by being stuck as a female!? Go back , I don't want to be a girl!
[System notes that as soon as you selected random you cannot undo the race]
Welp, man this sucks. Guess it'll be ok it will just take a lot of getting used to.
Alright well let's get onto this character creation, might as well make myself look as pretty as I can.
'One naked girl appeared before me causing me to close my eyes. After noticing how dumb it is for me to close my eyes, I slowly open them to notice that the body is censored so I cant see the risky areas.'
'The model was just simply that. It was difficult to describe because it had no defining features and the only thing that I can notice is its gender being the opposite of mine.'
Hmmm alright so let's get into this, first lets select what length of hair and what color I want it to be, hmmm lets select short length white hair with red accents.
For body shape I'll just randomize it.
Eyes? I don't really know what would look the best so I'll select lavender.
The fur I have will also be white with red accents to go with the hair, it makes the tails and ears look really fitting.
Finally, height selection… I think I'll just pick a solid height and be 5ft9. It might be a little tall but I think it looks good.
I think I look good, I have pristine white skin, a slim body that's well proportioned, a bob cut with white hair and red accents, my tails and ears really tie the look up though, they just look so fluffy. Alright let's finish this up.

Alright what's next… Oh yeah, an ability. Hey system can you give me more information on abilities that I can choose?
[You are able to create any ability that you wish as long as it does not automatically set you above the common populace, for example you can not say your ability is to be a God]
Hmmm alright I think I get it. Let me think about the best ability. Time Travel? Mimicking? Maybe Teleportation? Hmmm this is difficult. There are so many abilities but they won't always be able to help me... Alright I have an idea.
System I have chosen an ability, I choose you as my ability! I want to have a system that will make it so I'm a game character with the ability to level up.

Yes! Let's go, this ability is probably the best I can think of! Even though it's somewhat overpowered, it will be able to help me in any situation as long as I have enough time to prepare for it.
[System asks you to wait for a minute while system successfully binds itself to the hosts soul]
Wait what? That sounds somewhat painfu- AHH! Why does it hurt so much!? Make it stop! This is even worse than getting hit by that flying piano!

What the? Wow the pain just vanished like that. Man that was probably the most painful thing I have ever experienced. It was like I was being shred to pieces and then was remodeled into something better.
Oh well, system can I write a letter to my family now?

What? But then how can I explain what happened?

No response? Hahhh ok well it's alright let me get this letter written out.
*15 minutes later*
Alright I think I have this letter finished, I explained that I am as ok as I can be considering i'm dead and that we won't be able to meet again unless fate permits it. Man that's kind of morbid but it's the truth.
Alright system, can you send this letter now?
'Suddenly the letter vanished from my hand'

So this is my status? Doesnt look that great but it'll do. I wonder though I have MP so does that mean I can do magic? Also it seems I have something called AP? I have no clue what that is oh well. Huh I have SP too so I'm going to assume that I level up by doing quests and I will level up and gain more SP to further upgrade my skills?

Wow okay that's nice I didn't expect to get points this early on. The more points I have the better it is for me so I'm not going to complain.
But I wonder why I'm still nameless. Hey system, why do I not have a name?

Ok that's cool so let's see what's next system?
[Next is your inventory your inventory will appear if you say or think inventory, you are able to store anything that you can fit into the box as long as it's not living, you will also be able to unlock more slots but it is currently set to 10]
Alright that sounds fair, I don't want to become a black hole with my inventory. What's next system?

Ok system lets start from the top and explain what's tail evolution.
[Tail Evolution: This is the number of tails you have and you will grow more when increasing your level or doing specific quests. After every new tail that you grow you will gain new powers specific to your race, for example better speed or illusions]
So wait I don't get to keep the 9 tails that I had from my avatar creation screen?
[No]
Ok then I guess it will make it more fun than if I instantly had 9 tails, lets see whats next.
[Title: This is where you can equip a title for passive perks. For an example you could gain more health, speed, or a fear inducing passive perk with the right title]
That's interesting but I probably wont get one for awhile, let's do HP
[HP: This is your current amount of health points, do note that if it reaches 0 and you don't have a life saving item then you will die]
Wait, I can have a life saving item that will save me?
[Yes]
Ok what about MP?
[MP: This is your current amount of mana points, mana points are used in every spell and most skills, without mp your skills will be uncastable]
Hmm alright so that sounds really important, ok let's think of AP.
[AP: This is currently locked and you will learn more information once unlocked]
Wow thanks that told me absolutely nothing about it. I'm just going to assume that AP stands for Aura or something like that.
[Yes]
You can't just say yes to that! Oh well let's just finish this up, system please list all the other stats and explain them.
[STR: This is your strength stat, aka how strong you are. Pretty self explanatory]
[VIT: This is your vitality or how tough you are, this basically means that the more vitality you have the more hits you can take while taking less damage]
[DEX: Dexterity is how agile and how fast you can move with precision]
[INT: Is your intelligence, the more you have the faster you can learn, memorize, and think. Each point into intelligence will raise your MP by 10]
[WIS: Wisdom is your ability to make smart decisions, every 10 points in wisdom increases your MP recovery by 1%]
Ok nothing new with INT and WIS, at least I know the math behind it. Also with this I will be able to become a mage!
[LUC: This is how lucky you are, this mostly affects drop chances but can affect other scenarios that you face]
Alright this for some reason sounds underrated, I think it's best if I raise this some more.

Hmm alright skill window!

So why do I only have gamers' mind skill?

Allows the user to think calmly and logically at all times by granting a peaceful state of mind. Immunity to all mental attacks
Hmm ok that's a good ability. I really don't know how much I would freak out while being chased by some monster in this new world.

And that was the first chapter of this fanfiction, comment if I can improve on anything.
This was a somewhat shorter chapter, I plan on trying to make every other chapter around 4k or more words.
I plan on updating this chapter usually on every monday and friday so this being on a tuesday will somewhat be rare unless im doing a mass release.
