Author's Note: Okay, so remember in Matilda/Harriet when the narrator said that some great ideas just jump out at you? Well, that's exactly what happened to me today! I wasn't even planning on this, it just came to me while I was reading a Finding Nemo fanfic on Wattpad! So without further ado, here is the prologue! Quick warning though, you might hate me after reading who dies, but that's just how it has to work to be a Finding Nemo crossover. I apologize to anybody who cries after reading this in advance. I hope some of you can forgive me!

In the beautiful, sunny kingdom of Corona, King Fredric and his lovely wife, Queen Arianna, were enjoying the magnificent view from the balcony of their castle. Just three days ago, the Queen had given birth to a healthy, happy little girl with long golden blonde hair. They were still deciding on a name for her. It was a joyous occasion for the whole kingdom, especially for Fredric. For Arianna had fallen very ill during her pregnancy, and many were scared she wouldn't make it. It was only from a potion made from the legendary Sundrop Flower that she had recovered. Now, they were a happy royal family.

King Fredric held his wife close as he gazed out at the sunset. "Wow…" he said.

Arianna smiled. "Mmm.."

"Wow."

"Mm-hmm."

"Wow!"

The Queen sighed with amusement. "Yes, Fredric, I see it, and it's just wonderful!"

The King's grin had pure happiness on it as he turned to the Queen. "So, Aria, when you said you wanted a kingdom view, you didn't think you'd get that and a whole sunset, did you?" He took a deep breath, taking in the beauty. "Ahh, yeah. One can really live out here! Did I do a great job, or did I do a great job?"

Arianna playfully rolled her eyes. "You did a great job. And I can tell it wasn't easy to stay up at this time, what with our little bundle of joy being born."

"Well, it wasn't easy, that's for sure. But it was also worth every minute.", Fredric replied.

"And the kingdom's doing great, too! But keep quiet, you don't want to wake her up, or she'll be a bundle of screams as well!", Arianna added.

Fredric nodded, and the royal couple headed to the nursery to check on their baby girl. She had a little smile on her angelic face as she squirmed a bit in her sleep.

Arianna beamed. "Aww, look. She's dreaming!", she whispered. Then, she turned to look at her husband. "We still have to name her, you know."

Fredric looked at Arianna, confused. "I thought we already had one for her. Remember? We thought of the name Annabelle."

"Actually, that was your idea first. Besides, I like Rapunzel. Doesn't that sound pretty, too?"

Fredric thought for a moment. "Rapunzel…That does sound pretty good." But then his content face fell into a worried frown. "Arianna, darling, I'm a bit nervous. What if I'm not a good father?"

The Queen sighed. They had discussed this topic before. She walked out of the nursery with the King following her to the gardens outside."Fredric…."

"No, really!"

"Fredric, there's no need to worry about this. We're the King and Queen of Corona. Odds are, we will have a few parenting problems, but nothing we can't handle."

Fredric sighed. "Yeah..you're right, dear."
But as the royal parents gazed out at the now-dark sky, something seemed….off.

Everything was quiet.

Eerily quiet.

Then Fredric saw Arianna looking near the castle roof with fear on her face. Two ominous figures were sneaking on the rooftops of the castle's towers. They were the infamous Stabbington Brothers, two murderous criminals. And now they were breaking into the castle!

The King ran to the safe room on the side of the castle. Keeping his voice down, Fredric whispered, "Ariana, come with me. We need to alert the guards and get to the safe room."

But the Queen's gaze shifted someplace else: The open window of their baby's nursery. Then, she looked at the main door.

A look of horror came across Fredric's face. "No, Arianna! She'll be alright. You need to come with me, now!"

But for the first time, Arianna defied her husband's order. Quick as a flash, she darted through the main entrance.

"NO!", screamed Fredric. He tried to follow her, but one of the two crooks, the one with the eyepatch, jumped down, blocking his way. The eyepatched thief pulled out his swords. Fredric tried to fight him off, but by the time the guards came running, the outlaw had punched the King in the face. Blood poured from Fredric's nose as he stumbled. The last thing he heard was the faint crying of his daughter, and Arianna screaming. Then, everything went black.

When King Fredric came to, he was lying in his bed with a bruised nose and bandaged wrist. The maid immediately rushed to help him sit up.

"ARIANNA!", he suddenly yelled, abruptly sitting upright. "Where is she?! And my daughter! What happened to them?!

Then, he saw the guards holding a stretcher covered with a shroud. Fredric's heart sank. He knew who was under the cover.

"…..Arianna…..No…."

The captain of the guards gave the King a long, sad look. "We're so sorry, Your Majesty. We tried to stop them, but they escaped. When we found your wife, she…." He didn't finish. There was no need to.

The handmaidens were gently cradling a small bundle. "We found her hidden in Her Majesty's room. It seemed like the Queen was able to hide the princess before they…killed her". they said softly. One handmaiden placed the baby in the King's lap. Fredric was grateful for this small piece of good news….but the love of his life was gone forever.

As Fredric sobbed for his loss, the baby princess began to fuss a little. Fredric wiped his tears away and gently rocked his newborn daughter. "There, there, sweetheart….It's okay, Daddy's here…..Daddy's got you." More tears streamed down his cheeks, as he softly sang the Sundrop Song.

"Flower, gleam and glow,

Let your power shine,

Make the clock reverse,

Bring back what once was mine…."

But his singing voice trailed off as everyone in the room saw what he was seeing. The baby's hair was glowing! The magic of the Sundrop Flower lived on in her hair.

Right at that moment, King Fredric made a vow to protect his daughter at all costs. And now he knew what to name her, too.

"I promise, I will never let anything happen to you….Rapunzel."
