Something Calls to Me

Shadow's crimson eyes narrowed as he stared at the glowing, vibrant Space Colony ARK hub, now fully restored with colour and life. It shimmered under the pale sky, standing in stark contrast to the void surrounding it. The hedgehog stood still, his arms crossed tightly over his chest, his expression unreadable but his mind racing.

"What was that new power?" Shadow muttered to himself, his tone low and contemplative. "I've never done anything like that before. It's not something I should normally be able to do."

His thoughts lingered on the wings—the dark, jagged extensions that had erupted from his back. The sensation had been both foreign and familiar, an unsettling combination that gnawed at his usually unshakable confidence.

Uncrossing his arms, Shadow turned away from the hub and he began walking across the white ground. Each step echoed faintly, the sound sharp against the eerie silence of the void. His gaze dropped to his gloved hands as he walked, watching as wisps of dark, inky energy curled and pulsed around his fingers like tendrils of smoke.

"Yet it felt… natural," Shadow muttered, his voice quieter, almost introspective. "What could be causing these mutations?"

His thoughts drifted back to the battle in the Realm of Darkness against Mephiles—when he had become one with Oscura. The raw rage he had tapped into during that fight, the overwhelming surge of power coursing through him, felt eerily similar. And yet, this was different. It wasn't just rage or chaos—it was something deeper, something primal.

Yen Sid's words echoed in his mind, a warning about the latent power that lingered within him, tied to his creation. Was this Black Doom's doing? A byproduct of the alien DNA used to bring him to life? Shadow's frustration was simmering. He was certain there was a connection, but certainty wasn't enough. He needed answers—evidence—and he would stop at nothing to find them.

Shadow stopped at the edge, his gaze sweeping over the distance. A faint outline of another landmass loomed ahead, barely visible through the mist. It appeared to have more structures trapped, but Shadow could only see their faint outlines due to the mist and distance.

He squinted hard, trying to make out more details through the haze. Something was there—something faint yet unmistakable. His sharp eyesight honed in on the distant shape, and his heart skipped a beat.

His eyes widened in disbelief, and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, the seemingly unshakable Shadow the Hedgehog gasped aloud.

On the other side of the water, a frail blonde-haired girl stood at the base of two tall buildings, her soft blue eyes gazing across the sea to the distant figure on the opposite shore. Her wavy, shoulder-length blonde hair swayed gently in the faint breeze, framed by a dark blue hair band that matched her blouse with light blue trims. The blouse sat gracefully over a light blue, knee-length dress with long sleeves, and she wore matching blue shoes that tapped lightly on the ground as she shifted her weight.

She had just caught sight of him—a being that looked unmistakably like Shadow, standing across the water. Her eyes widened in shock, and her breath hitched as a quiet gasp escaped her lips.

Without hesitation, she broke into a small run, her steps light yet urgent as she moved toward the edge of the landmass. The desire to close the distance overwhelmed her, her heart racing as she reached out instinctively. But before she could get any closer, a calm yet firm voice stopped her in her tracks.

"Maria, wait," the voice called gently from behind her.

Startled, Maria halted mid-step and turned to see her grandfather, Professor Gerald Robotnik, approaching. His long white lab coat billowed slightly with his movements, the stark fabric contrasting with his long grey mustache. Behind his darkened glasses, his expression was a mix of caution and quiet concern.

"Grandfather," Maria said softly, her voice tinged with emotion.

Gerald's sharp gaze flicked toward the distant figure before returning to Maria.

"It's too dangerous to approach the edge," he said, his voice steady yet warm, filled with the protective tone that only a loving guardian could convey.

"I'm sorry," Maria murmured, her tone laced with disappointment.

"There's no need to apologise, my dear," Gerald said. "But caution is important. We must understand more before we act, especially in a place like this."

Despite his words, Maria couldn't help herself. She turned back toward the distant shore, her delicate hand resting over her chest as she stared across the water. Her heart ached, a mix of longing and uncertainty swirling within her.

The figure across the way—it had to be him.

"Maria?" Shadow murmured, his crimson eyes narrowing as he continued to gaze into the distance.

The figure across the water stirred something deep within him, a memory long buried but never forgotten. His heart pounded, the possibility flooding his mind.

Could it really be her?

But then, reason took hold. Shadow clenched his fists and closed his eyes, forcing the surge of emotions back down.

"No," he said firmly, shaking his head as if to dispel the thought entirely. "She's gone. I'm just… seeing things."

His voice softened on the last words, tinged with a sadness he rarely allowed himself to feel. Shadow turned away from the edge, his air shoes clicking softly on the white surface beneath him. His gaze shifted to the vast expanse of land he now stood on, his focus hardening once more.

"I need to stay focused," he declared, his voice steady but resolute. "There's no time to get lost in dreams."

He raised his eyes to the sky, where the ominous Black Moon loomed high above. One of the eyes, now open, looked down at him. Its haunting presence was a stark reminder of the chaos surrounding him.

Suddenly, a familiar, mechanical voice cut through his thoughts, sharp and commanding.

"SHADOW," the voice boomed.

Shadow turned quickly, his sharp gaze landing on Omega as the hulking robot approached. Omega's heavy metal frame moved with purpose, each step resonating against the ground.

"Omega," Shadow acknowledged, folding his arms across his chest. His tone was calm, but his curiosity was piqued. "What have you found? Have you been able to locate Aqua?"

Omega stopped a few steps away from Shadow, his optics glowing red as his systems processed his report.

"OBSERVATIONS COMPLETE," Omega announced in his usual blunt tone. "KEYBLADE ENERGY DETECTED, BUT EXACT LOCATION REMAINS UNCLEAR DUE TO TEMPORAL INTERFERENCES."

Shadow's eyes narrowed slightly, his mind working quickly to piece together the information.

"However," Omega continued, "CALCULATED PROBABILITY OF AQUA'S PRESENCE IN THIS DOMAIN HAS INCREASED TO 75%."

Shadow unfolded his arms and glanced back toward the horizon, his gaze lingering on the faint outline of the distant landmass. The mention of Aqua brought him a sliver of hope, though he kept his stoic demeanor intact.

"Temporal interferences," Shadow repeated, his voice low. "So she could be here… or she might still be out of reach."

"DATA INDICATES FURTHER SEARCH IS REQUIRED," Omega confirmed, his monotone voice carrying an air of urgency. "DISTORTIONS WITHIN THIS VOID ARE COMPROMISING SIGNAL INTEGRITY."

Shadow exhaled sharply, his crimson eyes narrowing.

"I will find her," he declared, his voice firm with determination. "And I will uncover the reason we're trapped in this place."

Then, shifting slightly, Shadow asked, "What else have you found, Omega?"

"I HAVE LOCATED A CONSPICUOUS PILLAR NEARBY," Omega confirmed. "IT IS EMITTING A FREQUENCY THAT MATCHES YOUR OWN ENERGY SIGNATURE, SHADOW."

"You're saying it's resonating with me?" he questioned, lowering his arms and taking a step toward the massive robot.

"AFFIRMATIVE," Omega affirmed, his tone unwavering. "THE PILLAR'S FREQUENCY SEEMS TO ALIGN WITH THE ENERGY EMITTED FROM YOUR FORM DURING YOUR ALTERATION AT THE SPACE COLONY."

Shadow's expression darkened as the memory of the wings unfolding from his back resurfaced in his mind. He clenched his fists, unsure of what to make of this strange power that had suddenly manifested within him.

"You can sense it?" he asked, his voice quieter now, tinged with unease.

"YES. THE ENERGY SIGNATURE IS UNIQUE," Omega replied.

Shadow turned his gaze away, looking off into the distance. The dark, inky aura that had surrounded his hands earlier was still fresh in his memory. After a brief moment, he spoke again.

"At the ARK…" Shadow hesitated, his voice dropping slightly. "Something happened. I sprouted wings… they just appeared. It felt—" He paused, his crimson eyes narrowing. "—natural. As if that power had always been there, waiting for the right moment to emerge."

Omega's mechanical frame tilted slightly forward as he processed Shadow's words.

"THIS MUTATION IS CONSISTENT WITH ANOMALOUS ENERGY FLUCTUATIONS DETECTED DURING YOUR ALTERATION," the robot stated. "HYPOTHESIS: THIS POWER MAY BE A REACTION TO THE DISTORTIONS WITHIN THIS VOID. HOWEVER, MORE DATA IS REQUIRED TO CONFIRM."

Shadow glanced back at Omega, his voice sharp.

"You think this is some kind of response to the distortions? A byproduct of being here?" he questioned.

"POSSIBLE," Omega replied, his tone flat but analytical. "HOWEVER, THERE IS ANOTHER POTENTIAL EXPLANATION. IT COULD BE A LATENT POWER, AWAKENED BY THE VOID'S INFLUENCE."

Shadow's gaze hardened.

"Latent power?" he echoed, his voice skeptical. "I've never felt anything like this before, not even with Chaos Energy."

"INCOMPLETE DATA," Omega admitted. "FURTHER ANALYSIS OF THE PILLAR AND YOUR CONNECTION TO IT MAY PROVIDE INSIGHT."

Shadow let out a quiet huff, his frustration bubbling beneath the surface.

"Then that's my next move," he said, his tone resolute. "I need to investigate the pillar and find out what it wants from me."

"AGREED," Omega said, stepping aside slightly to allow Shadow to lead the way. "CAUTION IS ADVISED. DISTORTIONS MAY ESCALATE AS YOU APPROACH THE PILLAR."

"Let them try," Shadow said. "Whatever's coming, I'll be ready."

With that, the hedgehog turned sharply, his air shoes activating with a soft hum as he dashed forward, leaving Omega to follow closely behind.

Aqua

Aqua and Silver walked side by side down the white pathway, their footsteps echoing faintly in the stillness of the void. Around them, elegant structures of white stone with golden accents emerged sporadically, some crumbling and broken, while others remained miraculously intact. The edges of the path were bordered by pristine blue water, its surface rippling softly despite the lack of wind. The void, though haunting in its quietness, exuded an unusual serenity.

Aqua stopped mid-stride, her gaze drawn to a tall pillar that jutted out from the calm waters nearby. She tilted her head, her blue eyes filled with curiosity and caution.

"This place," she began softly, her voice carrying a note of unease, "it's strange. Peaceful, almost… but it feels like the calm before the storm."

Silver nodded in agreement, his golden eyes scanning the area with an air of quiet vigilance.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. It's too quiet. Like we're in a dream that could turn into a nightmare at any second."

Behind them, the massive wall and door Aqua had unlocked loomed. The swirling waters and ethereal structures around them seemed almost too perfect, as if hiding something beneath their placid exterior.

"What kind of power could have brought us here?" Aqua mused, as she looked around the seemingly endless void. Her sharp eyes lingered on the glowing white pathway ahead, as if it held the answer to her question.

Silver followed her gaze, but something else caught his attention. His brows furrowed, and he raised a hand to point toward the sky.

"That thing up there… you see it?" he remarked

Aqua glanced up, her expression steadying as her eyes fell upon the massive, ominous object suspended high above in the distorted sky. The structure loomed like a watchful predator.

"I saw it earlier," Aqua admitted, her tone cautious. "It was there when I first arrived in this void. Do you know what it is?"

Silver shook his head, his silver bangs swaying slightly as he turned his gaze back to her.

"No clue. I've never seen anything like it before."

Aqua's gaze lingered on the ominous object, her expression hardening.

"Well, whatever it is, we'll figure it out. Sooner or later," she said.

"Absolutely," Silver agreed, starting to walk again. "We'll figure this out."

Aqua hesitated, her hand reflexively brushing against the small pocket where she had stowed the journal page from the Land of Departure. Something about it tugged at her thoughts, a whisper in the back of her mind that she couldn't ignore.

Silver, noticing she wasn't following, turned back to face her.

"Everything okay?" he asked, his voice calm but tinged with concern.

Aqua paused for a moment, then met his gaze.

"It's something I found at the Land of Departure," she said, her tone thoughtful.

"Oh? What did you find?" Silver inquired, walking back to her.

Aqua pulled the journal page from her pocket and handed it to him. Silver took it, his golden eyes scanning the text carefully. As he read, his brows furrowed in thought.

"A saviour… a project… and some kind of journey," Silver muttered, his tone thoughtful as his golden eyes scanned the page again. "This sounds like it's connected to something big."

"I thought the same thing," Aqua replied, her voice steady but tinged with unease. "But it's so vague. I don't know who wrote it, what this project was, or what they were trying to stop."

Silver handed the page back to her, his expression shifting to something more serious.

"It could be important," he remarked. "Whoever wrote this—they were fighting against something, something they believed was worth documenting."

Aqua nodded as she carefully tucked the page away again.

"That's what I'm afraid of. I wonder if…" She trailed off, her words hanging in the air.

Silver tilted his head slightly, his curiosity piqued.

"Wonder what?" he pressed gently.

Aqua hesitated for a moment before speaking, her voice quieter this time.

"I wonder if this was written by my parents."

"Your parents?" Silver repeated, his brow furrowing slightly.

Aqua exhaled slowly, her blue eyes drifting as memories stirred in her mind.

"I was shown visions during my time in the Realm of Darkness," she began. "My parents… they sought help to save our home, Aetheris."

Silver's expression shifted to confusion.

"Wait, I thought your home was the Land of Departure?" he asked.

"No, well, not my original home," Aqua clarified. "I found out that I'm from Aetheris. It was the home of the Lumarian race… my people."

Silver's curiosity deepened, but he remained quiet, sensing there was more she needed to share.

"My memories of my childhood are hazy," Aqua admitted. "They've always been… fragmented, at best. But when I was in the Realm of Darkness, I came across Aetheris—trapped there, consumed by the dark. It was then that I was forced to confront my Heartless, Oscura."

"You found Aetheris in the Realm of Darkness?" Silver asked, his voice rising slightly in surprise.

"I did," Aqua said with a solemn nod. "It was during that time that Black Doom appeared. He showed me visions of the past—visions of my parents. They were desperate, seeking his help."

Silver's reaction was immediate, his expression twisting in disbelief.

"Help? From someone like Black Doom? That vile fiend?" he questioned.

Aqua gave him a steady look, her expression calm but sad.

"You know of him?" she asked.

Silver paused, his gaze dropping briefly as he let out a low hum of thought.

"I've heard of him. The Black Arms… they've been mentioned in records from the future," he confirmed.

"You've encountered them in your time?" Aqua asked, intrigued.

"Not directly," Silver clarified. "But I know enough to say they're a menace. Luckily, in my future, they're gone… for now. But with distortions like these?" He gestured to the eerie void surrounding them. "Never say never, right?"

Aqua frowned, her expression clouded as the weight of her memories bore down on her.

"If the visions were true," she began, her voice steady but tinged with sorrow, "my parents turned to Black Doom out of desperation. They believed his DNA could help save Aetheris. But instead…" She hesitated, glancing at Silver before continuing, "Aetheris fell, seemingly by Doom's hand, my parents' mistakes, or… another dark force they couldn't stop."

Silver's golden eyes softened as he listened, the gravity of Aqua's words resonating with him. He could see the pain etched in her features, the kind of pain that came from carrying the burden of a lost home, of unanswered questions. He knew it all too well.

"I get it," he said quietly, his tone steady yet empathetic. "My home… it's always been a mess. No matter how many times I think I've fixed things, it just keeps falling apart. Every time I try to save it, the future is still broken."

Aqua turned to him, her sharp blue eyes meeting his. There was no pity in her gaze, only understanding—a bond forged through shared struggles.

"That's why we can't stop," Aqua said firmly. "Even when it feels like we're running in circles, even when it seems impossible, we have to keep trying. For the ones who can't fight anymore… and for ourselves."

Silver nodded, her words lighting a spark of determination within him.

"You're right. We can't let the past or even the future define us. What matters is what we do now," he remarked.

A faint, determined smile crossed Aqua's lips.

"Exactly. And if these distortions are tied to the past, maybe fixing them can help us both. Maybe… just maybe, it's not too late to find answers."

Silver gestured to the path ahead, his own resolve now bolstered.

"Then let's keep moving. Whatever's waiting for us at the end of this void, we'll face it together."

Aqua nodded, stepping forward alongside him, her steps lighter despite the weight of her thoughts.

Shadow

Shadow skidded to a halt, his air shoes leaving faint scorch marks on the pristine white ground beneath him. He stood before a peculiar and ominous structure. The pillar that Omega had mentioned was unlike anything Shadow had encountered before—a sleek, oval-shaped monolith of pitch-black metal stood tall, its surface smooth yet unsettling, reflecting faint distortions of its surroundings.

Embedded at the base of the pillar were intricate metallic gears of varying sizes, their golden and silver teeth interlocking and turning slowly, as though driven by an unseen force. The design was almost organic, as if the machinery itself was alive, pulsating faintly with a strange rhythm. At the center of the structure, just above the gears, a single, crimson eye glowed dimly. The eye was encased within a metallic frame shaped like an ominous emblem, its jagged edges and concentric circles giving it a sinister aura. It stared outwards, unblinking, its faint red light casting eerie shadows across the surrounding ground.

Shadow's crimson eyes narrowed as he took in the sight before him. The longer he looked at the glowing eye, the more he felt an inexplicable pull, as though the structure were reaching into his very being, beckoning him closer.

"Something calls to me," he murmured, his voice low and uncertain.

His gaze flicked to the strange, otherworldly machinery surrounding the pillar, its soft hum filling the otherwise silent void.

Suddenly, breaking the stillness, darkness began to writhe around the base of the sleek black pillar, its inky tendrils oozing across the pristine white floor like a living, malevolent force. The pillar, with its intricate mechanical gears and glowing red core, started to vibrate violently, emitting a low, ominous hum that resonated through the air. Shadow's gaze sharpened as cracks suddenly splintered across its smooth surface, glowing with a sickly purple light that pulsed in time with the hum.

The cracks deepened, and with a resounding crack, the pillar split open, releasing an eruption of dark energy. The force knocked Shadow back a step, though he quickly steadied himself. Tendrils of darkness whipped through the air, spreading rapidly and encircling the hedgehog.

Before he could act, a sudden pulse emanated from the darkness, slamming into Shadow like a tidal wave. His body froze mid-step, and a sharp, throbbing pain erupted in his head. He staggered, clutching his temples as the world around him blurred and warped.

"No," he muttered through gritted teeth, his voice strained as the darkness began to seep into him.

Shadow's vision blurred , colours smearing together as his head throbbed with increasing intensity. His gloved hands clawed at his head, his breathing erratic. A bright crimson glow ignited in his eyes, sharp and unnatural, as though a foreign force had awakened something deep within him.

But the force was unrelenting. A sharp, echoing beat rang through his chest, like the pounding of an unholy heart. His staggered breaths grew heavier, and for a moment, he felt as though the darkness was breaking him apart, piece by piece.

And then… it stopped. But Shadow felt the power within.

The hedgehog raised his gloved hand into the air, his palm facing outward as dark, inky energy began to swirl and condense. The atmosphere around him seemed to ripple with tension, as though the very void itself was reacting to the power building within him. A deep crimson glow emanated from his palm, intensifying with each passing moment.

The energy twisted and coiled, forming a jagged spear-like construct of pure darkness, its edges crackling with a volatile mix of chaos energy and the newfound power coursing through him. The weapon pulsed ominously, its sharp tip radiating a deadly crimson hue.

With a swift motion, he released the spear. It shot through the air with terrifying speed, leaving a trail of black and red energy in its wake. Shadow staggered slightly as the force reverberated back to him, but his determination only grew.

The power inside him surged again, unrelenting. Shadow's crimson eyes narrowed, and he extended both arms this time, his hands trembling slightly as he summoned more of the volatile energy. Five more spears materialised, one after the other, each one forming faster than the last. The strain on his body was evident—Shadow groaned, his teeth gritted as he directed the energy outward.

One by one, the spears left his hands, each one slicing through the air with devastating precision. Shadow's breathing grew heavier with each release, but he pushed through, his focus unwavering.

As the final spear left his hand, Shadow stood amidst the dissipating chaos, his arms lowering slowly as the dark energy around him began to recede. He took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling heavily as he steadied himself.

"This power…" Shadow muttered, opening and closing his hands. Red sparks of chaos energy zipped around his form, flickering unpredictably. He studied his gloves, watching the volatile energy crackle and dance like a caged storm. "It's overwhelming… but it feels as though it's always been a part of me."

Before Shadow could dwell further, Omega's voice cut through the tense air like a blade, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"OBSERVATION," Omega stated, his metallic frame clanking as he approached Shadow. "THE PILLAR HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS A SEALING DEVICE. ITS FUNCTIONALITY AND ORIGIN ARE INCONCLUSIVE BASED ON CURRENT SCANS."

Shadow turned slightly, his gaze sharp as he regarded the towering robot.

"A sealing device? Then why did it react to me?" the hedgehog questioned.

"DATA ANALYSIS INDICATES A 100% CONNECTION BETWEEN YOU AND THE PILLAR," Omega confirmed. "THE POWER RELEASED WAS SPECIFICALLY LINKED TO YOUR BIOLOGICAL AND ENERGETIC SIGNATURES."

"So, this wasn't random. The pillar… it was meant for me?" Shadow questioned.

"AFFIRMATIVE," Omega confirmed, his mechanical tone unwavering. "THE PILLAR'S ENERGY WAS DESIGNED TO INTERACT WITH YOUR GENETIC MAKEUP AND CHAOS ENERGY. IT IS UNCLEAR IF THIS WAS BY DESIGN OR COINCIDENCE. FURTHER ANALYSIS REQUIRED."

Shadow glanced back at the remnants of the pillar, now fractured and lifeless, its dark aura completely dissipated. His crimson eyes narrowed, and a single name escaped his lips like a venomous hiss.

"Black Doom…" he muttered, his voice low but sharp, filled with suspicion and anger.

Omega's red optic flickered, processing the information.

"POTENTIAL BLACK DOOM INVOLVEMENT IS NOW A PROBABILITY. HOWEVER, AVAILABLE DATA IS INSUFFICIENT TO CONFIRM HIS DIRECT CONNECTION TO THIS DEVICE."

"Black Doom's DNA is a part of me," Shadow scoffed. "This… mutation… this power feels connected to him somehow. If he has anything to do with this…" His voice trailed off, his words drenched in an unspoken vow of vengeance.

"THE PRESENCE OF BLACK DOOM'S INFLUENCE WOULD BE CONSISTENT WITH SIMILAR MANIFESTATIONS OF CHAOS ENERGY," Omega continued. "HOWEVER, THE PILLAR'S CREATION AND PURPOSE REMAIN AN ENIGMA. ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE IS REQUIRED."

Shadow took a step forward, his gaze fixed on the distant horizon where the white void bled into misty uncertainty.

"Whether it's Black Doom, or something else entirely… I'll find out. I'll stop it. This power won't control me," he declared.

"SUGGESTION: CONTINUED INVESTIGATION," Omega suggested. "DESTINATION AHEAD MAY PROVIDE ADDITIONAL CLUES TO PILLAR ORIGINS AND DISTORTION CAUSES."

Shadow nodded, his resolve solidifying. He turned his gaze toward the wall behind him, where five purple panels glowed faintly, embedded in the smooth surface surrounding the sealed door. He studied the arrangement for a moment, his sharp mind piecing together the purpose of the panels.

"Maybe this new power can hit those panels," he muttered to himself, his tone low but determined.

Locking onto the glowing panels, Shadow raised his hands. The chaotic energy swirling within him surged to the surface, manifesting in crimson and black sparks that radiated from his palms. With a deliberate motion, Shadow released a stream of dark energy. The tendrils of power coiled like serpents before striking one of the panels with precision. Upon impact, the purple light shifted to green, the panel emitting a faint hum as it activated.

Shadow smirked slightly, satisfied with the result.

"It works," he said under his breath.

One by one, he targeted the remaining panels, each strike more controlled and precise than the last. The energy seemed to respond to his will, bending and surging exactly as he directed. As the final panel turned green, the sealed door let out a low rumble and the two panels opened.

Through the now open door, a new path stretched out before Shadow and Omega. The robot's voice broke the silence.

"NEW PATHWAY DETECTED," he announced, his tone steady and analytical. His optic sensor scanned the pathway beyond the door. "ENERGY READINGS INDICATE FURTHER DISTORTIONS AHEAD. CONTINUED ANALYSIS REQUIRED."

Shadow stepped closer, his crimson eyes narrowing as he gazed down the path.

"I need to keep moving," he said firmly, his tone resolute. "I need to find out more and stop whatever is keeping us here."

Omega's bulky frame shifted slightly as he turned toward Shadow.

"AGREED. I WILL CONTINUE SCANNING FOR ADDITIONAL DATA AND MONITOR THE ENERGY RANGE. YOU PROCEED AHEAD; I WILL CATCH UP ONCE MY ANALYSIS IS COMPLETE."

"Do what you need to," Shadow replied, stepping toward the new pathway. "We don't have time to waste."

DOOM SPEARS UNLOCKED:

The Doom Spears are an enhanced version of Shadow the Hedgehog's Chaos Spear attack. This ability allows Shadow to lock onto and target up to five enemies simultaneously, releasing powerful, Doom-influenced spears of energy that home in on each target. These spears can paralyse enemies upon impact, making them particularly effective against groups of foes or for activating multiple switches at once. The Doom Spears can be utilized both on the ground and while airborne, providing versatility in combat situations.
