So, here's a possible teaser for a potential crossover I have yet to do. Yet I found myself intrigued after reading a number of crossovers with the same series. And I was pleased to discover that the entire series was available on Youtube, officially and for free. I've begun watching it, and while any potential crossover will be a while off, I thought I'd write a quick teaser of one of my possible story ideas. Yes, I've done something similar before, doing a post-Hogwarts Harry adopting Delphi story is something I've been doing a lot lately, but firstly, it's one that works well, and secondly, the thought of Delphi meeting certain crossover characters seems to provide a good mental image.

As usual, this teaser is not exactly what will be turned into a fic, though IF it does become a full fic, well, it'll showcase some elements.

And what of the crossover itself? Well...

...It's more than meets the eye.

As the faint strains of The Touch by Stan Bush, seemingly coming from a jukebox, start playing, we fade up to see an older Harry Potter, in his late twenties, nursing a drink at a booth in a bar. He's older, a little wiser, and certainly weary. But then, someone in a grey suit comes up and sits down.

GREY-SUITED MAN: I had to jump through a lot of hoops to talk with you. It was your friend Miss Granger who helped me get in touch with you.

HARRY: And I like it that way. So, what does some Yank secret squirrel want with me? You don't look like you're from MACUSA. You actually look competent.

A chuckle from the grey-suited man, with the camera swivelling to look at him. An African-American, stern-faced and a bit paunchy, yet formidable.

FOWLER: I'm William Fowler, an agent of Unit:E.

We then see pods streaking from space and hitting Earth.

FOWLER (VO): A few decades ago, First Contact was made with an alien species. And these ones, at least, were friendly.

We then see a sinister spaceship hanging overhead in a cloudy sky, hanging over an area with blue and purple crystals.

FOWLER (VO): Unfortunately, not all of them are, and the bad guys intend to take what they want from our world, and to Hell with the human race.

Harry, Fowler, and Delphi are led into a certain missile silo base, Delphi looking around in excited awe, Harry more concerned.

HARRY (VO, irritably, not realising just what and who he is about to meet): So, basically, I'm being sent to help Hermione babysit some aliens in some retrofitted nuclear missile silo?

We then cut to Harry and Delphi staring in surprise and awe as headlights approach them, a rather amused Fowler and Hermione in the background. We then cut to their point of view, a sextet of vehicles approaching, a number of cars, trucks, and a motorcycle. And then, with a unique sound...

WHRR-TSCHZZ-TSCHZZ-TSCHZZ-CHK!

...THEY TRANSFORM.

Within seconds, a sextet of massive robots are in front of, with the red-painted one kneeling down to look at a gaping Harry and a smiling Delphi. And in a weary, but gentle and paternal voice, he says...

OPTIMUS PRIME: Greetings, Harry and Delphini Potter. I am Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots.

A beat, before Harry looks back at Hermione and Fowler with a sceptical look, as if to ask, Really? Is that seriously what he calls himself? Hermione sighs.

HERMIONE: You should hear what the Decepticons call themselves.

Over footage of the Autobots patrolling parts of the world, and Decepticons mining Energon, we hear...

OPTIMUS (VO): Just as it was between your allies and the Death Eaters, we engage in a war in the shadows. Our homeworld, Cybertron, was devastated, and we hope to prevent the same from happening here. For the Decepticons do not care whom they harm in pursuit of their power and ambition.

We see Starscream, Soundwave, and Megatron on the bridge of the Nemesis.

HARRY (VO): Oh joy, another war against a bunch of racist, genocidal maniacs.

We then cut to Harry and Arcee in her robot form sitting next to each other at the side of a lake.

HARRY: You know, for robot aliens, you seem pretty human.

ARCEE (chuckles): Don't let Ratchet hear you say that, he'd take it as an insult.

We then see Harry driving on Arcee in her motorbike form along a Nevada highway.

HARRY (VO): I may not have fought for as long as you guys have, but I know loss. I know pain. So, if you want to talk...

ARCEE (VO): ...I'll think about it.

As the closing theme for the post-movie seasons of G1 begins in all its synthesized glory, we see Harry on Arcee's motorbike form, Jack clinging to his back, speeding between the Vehicons.

HARRY: BREATHE IN, JACK(1)!

We then cut back to the Autobots' base, where Jack, Raf and Miko are looking around in awe. As Miko does her usual bratty thing, Harry looks to Hermione, wand in hand.

HARRY: Can't I just Obliviate the little brat?

Hermione shakes her head, as does Optimus and Arcee.

HARRY: ...Bugger.

We see Megatron holding a crystal of Dark Energon with a grin, before stabbing it into Cliffjumper's corpse. Cliffjumper convulses, before reviving as a Terrorcon zombie.

HERMIONE (VO): Dark Energon, also called the Blood of Unicron. It is said that it can bring dead Cybertronians back to life.

We see Megatron laughing maniacally as he brings back the group of dead Cybertronians back from the battlefield on Earth.

HARRY (VO): Oh, you've got to be kidding me. A zombie robot army?!

Then, we see Megatron and Harry's faces...

MEGATRON (VO): Trembling in your boots, fleshling?

HARRY (VO): No. Just pissed off. Because you're too much like someone I knew.

In the brig of the Nemesis, Starscream takes aim at Harry and fires, with only a smoking, scorched patch of floor remaining. He cackles, only to be hit with a Bombarda right in the face, with Harry having Apparated onto the chains holding Fowler, balanced precariously. We see more flashes of conflicts throughout the series, before culminating in a shot of Harry riding on Arcee in her motorbike form, before she skids to a halt, Harry Apparating off, wand at the ready, while Arcee transforms, ready to fight.

ARCEE: Ready, partner?

HARRY: Yeah. Let's dance.

Cut to black...

A POTTERVERSE/TRANSFORMERS PRIME CROSSOVER

TEASER ANNOTATIONS:

Okay, so, the above was a VERY rough draft of one of my ideas for such a crossover. I've only watched the first five episodes of Transformers Prime, so I only have a rough idea for how the story might go, though the story might cover only those five episodes when it gets to the show's canon (with much of the story set prior to that). But I was inspired to watch that show after a lot of thought after not only reading a Potterverse crossover, EvaShinobiKaiserKnight's Magic Among Cybertron, but especially Iron117Prime's Code Geass crossover fics Code Prime, which I highly recommend.

But seriously, that show, for being a kid's cartoon, has enough dark and mature elements to work for adults. Plus, it feels like Peter Cullen and Frank Welker do better as their characters after G1. Not to mention Steve Blum sounding a bit like the late, great Paul Darrow in playing Starscream.

And I also now understand the Miko-hate. I mean, she makes the average Gryffindor look restrained by comparison.

Some of you might have noticed this, but yes, the pairing will be eventually be Harry/Arcee in all of my story ideas. Now, I'm sure many of you will be wondering about the 'hows' involved, given that Harry is a squishy human and Arcee is a centuries if not millennia-old 15-foot transforming alien robot (I looked up her official height, FYI), but there are many ways the gap can be bridged through technology or magic. Besides, I've paired Harry with weirder than an alien robot. Hell, I'm not even the first: while probably dead, there's a fic called More than Meets the Wand by whalenjp00 where Harry and Arcee (through her 'Sadie' holoform) meet and begin dating.

Now, there's no guarantees that I will do this specific story idea, or indeed any story in this crossover. In fact, my next big Potterverse crossover will probably be with Arcane when it comes out on home video (though I have at least one Potterverse crossover oneshot in mind for Halloween...with Tsukihime), or maybe Code Geass. But hopefully, with any luck, there may be a Transformers Prime crossover coming.

This is a reference to a similar scene in Doctor Who: The Movie, where the Doctor, driving a motorbike while Grace Holloway is clinging to him, yells "BREATHE IN, GRACE!" just as he's about to drive between two trucks in a similar way to Arcee driving between the two Vehicon drones in the first episode of Transformers Prime.
