Chapter 2 A Human and Heelers

The first thing he notice was His head felt heavy and his mind felt clouded, an aching feeling ran through all of his body, however he was able to hear what sounded like voices speaking next to him which he slowly began to open eyes too however his vision was a bit blurry prompting him to try and squint them.

He let a pained groan as he placed his hand on his head before he began too shake his head lightly as his vision slowly cleared, once it has he was met with the sight of something he was not expecting to see, two Pups both gazing Down at him with curious yet concerned looks.

It took the Boy a moment to process what he was looking at as his eyes then suddenly shot open even wider, realizing these two Canines were standing upright , In an instant he jolted sitting up emitting a startled yelp in the process fallowed by a pained wince which in turned caused the two little pups to both jump back in surprise and alarm letting out little startled shrieks themselves as Bluey held up the small red shovel in reflex.

" Stand behind me Bingo! " Bluey said backing up a little with her sister behind her who bared a rather frightened look on her face, in fact the both of them looked quite alerted now that this being was awake and had taken notice of them, yet for a moment all three of them just stared at one another, the Boy at them and the Sisters at Him.

It was a Moment of silence before the Boy broke the suspense between them. " w-what's going on!? w-who are you, where am I!? " The Boy now said finally speaking up first in a pained and shaky voice, his face full of confusion but mostly of fright, his eyes Darted around trying to make sense of what he was seeing as Bluey and Bingo just watched him in Amazement but also concern for this Boy seemed to be in a bit of pain and more afraid of them they where of him.

" Bluey, they can talk! " Bingo then pointed out to which Bluey then tilted her head slightly to one side.

" Huh? of course I can talk! " The boy quickly blurted as he emitted another pained groan. Wincing his teeth in the process which make Bluey lower her defense a little more.

" uh, Are you okay ? um who ever you are ? " Bluey now asked being the first to speak directly to him

" Yeah, and why are you in our backyard sleeping in the bushes? " Bingo asked still standing behind Bluey,

The Boy looked on at the two pups still not taking his eyes off them " Backyard? I don't understand, I just-I just want to know what's going on here, and how you are both talking to me!? " He replied as he began to take more notice of his surroundings, that last statement really confused the pups but Bluey then decided to introduce herself first.

" Uuh, well, my name is Bluey, and this is my little sister Bingo, were Heelers " she said gesturing to her herself and Bingo " Do, you have a name ? " Bluey asked the boy however he didn't reply as he just starred at them looking to speechless to answer properly, so bluey continued.

" umm, well, this is our Backyard, we live in that house over there " She added pointing over at the big house behind them.

The boy stared at them for a moment longer as he then placed a hand on his forehead " okay, I get it I'm dreaming or something, the sun has finally gotten to me and I'm having some vivid heat stroke Hallucination. " he spoked with a heavy sigh and another groan placing his head into his knees

Bluey then looked over at Bingo with another confused expression.

" Umm, you aren't dreaming, you are really are in our backyard " Bluey informed as the Boy looked back up as if trying to process the thought.

" No, no that can't be! I must be dreaming, there is no way any of this is possible! " he said like he was about to start freaking out " my mind is messing with me! this is the last thing it's making me see !" he said as his voice began to start shaking up.

This really began to alert Bluey and Bingo Bluey suddenly put on a very concerned face now as she watched the boy freak out their bushes, she then turned to her younger sister.

" Bingo, maybe we should get Mum and Dad, they might know what to do, plus he looks pretty hurt "The blue Heeler suggested, the little red furred pup looked at the Boy in the bushes for a moment then back at her sister and nodded her head

" Uh, okay, I'll go get them " she said before quickly running off back toward the house, she wanted to help but she also wanted to find an excuse to keep her distance for now.

The boy watched as she took off leaving him alone with the Blue Heeler dog who continued to watch him

" Don't worry, she went to get our Mum and dad, they'll help you " she explained to him as he looked very concerned about that.

" Huh ? N-no you don't have too, I'd rather you didn't " He said as his body began to tremble, in his mind he didn't want things to progress like this or any further , he was just wishing that he'd wake up at any moment and be out of this bizarre scenario he found himself in, but the pain in his body told him over and over that he was fully awake.

Meanwhile Bingo quickly ran into the house shouting for her parents, frantically in a hurry.

" MUM ! DAD! "

She ran all the way upstairs where she found them in the Living room relaxing on the Sofa, her Mum was checking her phone, and her dad was laying on his back reading a news paper.

" Mum Dad! " Bingo shouted in a frantic tone

" Hey, Bingo, did you and you're sister come up with the next game then ? I just wanted to finish reading this print, Forgot too this morning "Bandit said setting down the paper.

" W-we found something, we found something in the backyard, in the bushes, it's so strange! you have to come see ,! " Bing said practically jumping up and down in a high strung manner prompting both of her parents too look at one another a bit confused

" Uh, is this part of the game sweetie ? " Her Mum spoke up looking more confused.

" No, it's not a game you have to come see it! " Bingo said pulling at her dads arm trying to get him off the sofa " both of you need to come see this, Bluey is outside with them right now "

Both Of the parents then looked a bit more confused now

" hey, what do you mean by, Them ?" Bandit asked arching a brow glancing over as his wife who bared as similar concerned look.

*Back outside*

The boy continued to stare at the Little Heeler pup who just stared back at him with a face full of both Awe and curiosity, she didn't say anything for a short while just watching him in the bushes as he stared back with a look of unease.

" Sooo, are you some kind of uh, Alien ? " Bluey attempted to break the silence as the boy looked up at her, seeming almost a bit stunned she asked that,

but before the boy could speak up, he heard suddenly other voices in the distant, he looked past the blue pup to see the Littler one coming back outside, but it's what he saw fallowing behind her that caught his attention and made him start to worry about what was to come next, two larger upright walking dogs like the little ones were approaching the scene, he assumed they where the parents. Both of them where coloured similarly to the two smaller pups he had just met, one being Blue furred with a black fur covering his top part of their head and a yellow like belly, the other was Red fur with light a light brown spot on one side of their face and had a cream coloured belly.

And like just mentioned, these two dogs were Much, Much larger then then the two pups, and the closer they got he could tell they where at least adult Human sized, if not a bit larger !

Feeling his blood going cold he began to slightly shuffle back a bit as the three approached where he was sitting in the bushes.

" Over here ! this is where he is " Bingo said pointing her finger over at the Boy which made him feel more uneasy now having the Attention drawn right at him.

" Okay, now just what sort of game is going on here, I thought you two were going to-" Bandit was about to finish his statement when then he stopped in his tracks, as his eyes then met the boy's.

Chili also stopped in her tracks when she did the same, the both of them stood there in silence for a moment as they looked down at the Boy in the bushes. Bluey stepped aside for them to get a better look at him, it didn't take them long to notice his very rough looking state.

" Oh my goodness!? " Chili said with a shocked looked but tried to keep a calm Composer.

" Um, what's going on here ? who are you ? " Bandit spoke up first, his voice had that of concern in it but was clearly confused at the situation he was presented with.

The boy gulped at the two large dogs stood in front of him, clearly too petrified to speak as both of the adults looked on confusingly and worryingly.

" He's hurt and he doesn't know where he is " Bluey spoke up as the Parents exchanged worried glances at one another.

Bandit then gently knelt down in front of the boy who gasped and attempted to scoot back as fast as he could, but emitted a pained grunt when he backed into the wooden fence around the heeler yard, stopping him from getting any further.

" Easy there Mate, we aren't gonna hurt you, we just want to figure out what is going on here " Bandit spoke in a reassuring tone. " Understand? "

The boy took a moment looking at all these talking dogs staring at him their looks all emitted those of Concern, confusion and curiosity, he didn't see anything hostile in them, but he was still uncertain about trusting them, but he was cornered here either way, so he did all that he could and just nodded.

" Good then, now, how about we start with this? What's you're name? "

The boy then rubbed his bruised arm as he simply averted his gaze from the large heelers not speaking right up, Bandit nodded at this spoke before he again " well how about this, my name Is Bandit, Bandit Heeler and this is my Wife " He said gesturing to her as the boy glanced over at her, to which she gave a little confirming nod

" Hello there, I'm Chili " she added calmly and warmly, the boy could see she had both her arms around the young pups, seeming to keep them close to her as they talked with him, Not too mention all these dog's had Australian accents.

The boy looked at them all for a moment before speaking up " J-Jacob, my name is Jacob " he answered.

" Jacob is it? okay, that's settled then " Bandit gave a nod and smiled " And Now, how old you are Jacob? "Bandit asked next curiously.

The boy looked down for a moment, then answered again " I-I'm sixteen "

Chili and Bandit both exchanged another glance at each other after Hearing The boy tell them his age, it was a look of Concern more then anything else now.

" Sixteen? So, you're just a Kid then, where are you're parents mate? " Bandit asked him.

" And why are you sitting in our bushes , specially in this sort of state? " Chili speaks up as she then moved forward and kneels next to Bandit, examining the boy's rough state a bit closer " did, you run away from home or something? are you lost ? " she adds with a worried look but kept a calm tone.

" I-I didn't run away but I don't even know where I am either, nor...where my parents are, I don't know what's going on here!" Jacob answered.

" We told you, you are in our backyard " Bluey then spoke up as Bandit placed a paw gently on her to let them continue.

"it is true Hon, you are in our backyard, so how about you just tell where are you from ? " Chili asked

" I-I'm from Canada" he said with a nod " I-I was Visiting Australia with my Parents, I don't know how I got here, I just, woke up here" he answered his voice full of urgency and confusion which made Chili and bandit look a bit more worried but they both nodded understanding what he was saying.

" Are you on a Holiday ? " Bluey then asked

" how far away is Canada? " Bingo added.

" Lets let him finish dears " Chili said calmly and then nodded to The boy.

Jacob thought for a moment " Holiday? I was on a vacation in Australia, but where is this place, why are you all talking dogs? " That last statement seemed to confuse the Heelers as they all exchanged glances.

" Uuh, mate, I don't know how to tell you this, but you're still in Australia " Bandit said rubbing the back of his neck, " Brisbane to be exact and um as far as I know, all dogfolk can talk at least here they can? " he explained as Jacob looked more confused then ever now.

" Dogfolk? " Jacob asked confused to which the Heelers all nodded still seeming as confused as he was.

" And Jacob, if you don't mind me asking, what sort of, um breed are you? " Bandit now asked a bit awkwardly rubbing the back of his head as if trying not to sound offensive.

" Breed ? I'm not any breed ? " Jacob answered pausing for a moment before he continued, " I am a Human "he stated forwardly which seemed to confuse everyone even more.

"A Human ? " Chili then asked raising a brow.

" Ooh ! so that's what you are ! I never heard of a Human!? " Bluey exclaimed Curiously as Bandit had to settle her down again.

" Well I am one, one who is Clearly having some crazy vivid dream , " The human boy said placing a hand on his head.

" I'm afraid not, you're really here and in our Backyard " Bandit spoke up.

" How about this, just tell us what's the last thing you remembered before you woke up here ? " Chili asked gently,

Jacob began to ponder for a moment, thinking back as he had flashes appear in his head, He struggled to remember every detail , but he had these to go with, he just groaned as he felt more pain in his body as he tried to think.

Bandit and chili then looked at each other both standing up, Chili then nodded to Bandit before he spoke.

" Okay, listen you are clearly in a pretty rough state here , we want to help you sort this out, but first I think it's best if we get you out of these bushes and into our House " he spoke in a gentle and calm tone.

Jacob's eyes widen at the mention of " going into their home " which didn't sit to well with him as he lightly began to shake his head and attempted to scoot back some more again, taking notice of his uneasy state Bandit tried to reassure him some more.

" It's gonna be alright mate, we don't wanna cause you any harm I promise you, we want' to help you and just ask you some questions."

" And to get those injuries of yours's looked at, it'll be easier for us to do that inside our home, you'll be safe in there we promise " Chili added in a gentle reassuring tone.

" Do you understand ? " Bandit added as they both wait for him to respond to them.

Jacob looked at the large Dogs, despite being intimidated by their size and the fact they are, talking dogs, something that shouldn't even be happening, he could feel a bit of sincerity in their voices and on top of that he didn't have much of a choice it seemed, he could barely move without feeling pain. So, he gave in and nodded.

" There we are then, don't worry it's going to be fine I assure you " Bandit adds, " Do you think you can stand up ? "

Jacob thought for a moment and tried moving his body, he felt some slight pain as he did but figured if he tried he could attempted it.

" hmm, here, we'll just help you get up alright? " Bandit said as he knelt down again and extend a Paw toward Jacob who froze seeing the Paw right before him, it was like a normal hand only, it was big, blue, fluffy and had Claws on each finger tip.

Jacob hesitantly extended out his hand to mee Bandit's Paw and let him grab it, his Paw was much bigger then his hand, yet the Large Heeler kept a firm but gentle grip.

" Okay, now easy does it, let's just get you on you're feet first " He spoke as Jacob felt him slowly hoist him off the ground, wincing a bit as he was pulled onto his feet, Jacob staggered a bit but he was fully stood upright now, it was at this perspective he could see just how large these dogs where next to him, despite standing upright, Bandit still stood taller over him, looking to be a foot taller, a foot with his ears, Chili on the other hand was not too much taller then him, only by a few more inches. both dogs were much bigger in width compared to him as well.

The heelers ensured Jacob was able to remain standing before attempting to move him, making sure he was able to walk, which he did limp a bit when he did but was capable of moving on his own, so they just made sure too spot and lend him support as they lead him over toward their house, Too say Jacob was nervous was an understatement, but he knew he really had no other option then to " trust " these strangers he just met especially in the condition he was in,

Bluey on the other hand was very curious about this new strange person they found in their Backyard, she hoped her parents could help him and was Curious to know and learn more about who they were , Both she and her sister fallowed behind their parents whom led this Human into their home...
