Chapter 3 In a Dog's house

Jacob was led into the Heeler home until they entered a large, opened room that had a stairwell in it and a few Couches in the centre. Bandit and Chili led Jacob over too the couches as Bluey and Bingo fallowed close curously watching the Human as they did.

" Okay, were just going to have you sit down on the couch alright? "Bandit said as they lead him to the Couch and gently helped him take a seat on it's soft cushions.

" There you are, just rest their, now first is their anything you need? "Chili asked the Boy.

Jacob didn't know what to say or even think at that moment, he was still trying to process this as a whole, He just Awkwardly looked back up at these Dog folk standing and looking down at him.

" Well, how about we get those injuries looked at first "Chili the spoke up " Bluey, can you please run and get the First out Kit out of the bathroom " She spoke too her Daughter.

" Okay mum ! I'll be right back "Bluey said before quickly running out of the room.

" Jacob are you thirsty, could we get you some water? "Chili asked him, The boy looked up at her for a brief moment and gave a small nod.

" I am, pretty thirsty actually. " he spoke a bit quietly.

" Alright then, I'll go get you some water " Bandit said next, " just sit tight there " he then headed off leaving Jacob alone with Chili and Bingo, who stood close to her mother, clearly she was a bit shy or unsure about this strange new person in their home, but was still very curious buy the looks of it.

While Bandit was getting the water, Chili in the meantime was making sure Jacob was ok, asking him how he felt or where the pain was coming from the most which Jacob did his best to show her,

Soon Bandit returned " Here you go mate, drink up, you look like you need it " he said handing a glass of water to the boy, Which Jacob took and instantly began to chuck down the refreshing liquid, the Heelers all watched a bit surprised at how Thirsty he must have been as he finished the glass in one swig.

" T-thank you " Jacob said with a sigh, as He offered back the glass which Bandit took.

" No worries mate, if you need something else, don't be afraid to ask " he informed him to which shortly after Bluey came running back with a First Aid kit in her hands.

" I got it ! "she said as Chili nodded and took it from her

" Thanks bluey, That's my girl, Now then Jacob I just want to take a look at those injuries okay then tend to them? "she told him as the boy simply gave a nod.

Chili knelt down to examine his wounds, ensuring to see what needed the most attention first, from what she could gather the boy's injuries seemed to be a variant of mostly scrapes and bruises.

She quickly opened the Kit and took out the tools she needed and began to process of cleaning and wiping some of the scratches with a swab before placing some plasters on them, Jacob watched as she did that, He didn't say anything but just let her to her work despite how awkward yet, surreal it felt having a Anthro dog tending to injuries.

"There we are, cleaned up " Chili said standing back up, Jacob looked down at his legs and arms seeing the few Band-Aids aids that had been placed in his arms.

" Um, t-thank you miss " Jacob spoke trying to sound as polite as he could. Chili gave a slight nod and smile

"It's no worry dear, as said we are just trying to help you. "

Bandit then stepped up now again "And so, we wanted to make sure you are alright first, then try to figure out what is going on here, with that, let's see if we got this right. You said you were a " Human ? "

Jacob nodded " yeah, I'm a Human, have you ever, heard of one ? "

Bandit sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck " To be quite honest mate, I can't say that I have "

" Me neither " Chili admitted as Jacob tried to let that sink in a bit.

" But You said you were on a Holiday with you're parents, correct? " Bandit spoke again.

"Uh, yeah that's correct, "Jacob confirmed to which the Heelers all pondered that for a moment.

" And you have no idea where you're parents are ? "Chili asked next to which Jacob starred down at his shoes for a moment before he shook his head

" No, I don't "he simply stated looking at his shoes.

" Can you tell us there names perhaps? " Chili asked again.

Jacob rubbed his arm for a moment, before he proceeded to give them the names of his parents.

" Becca and Mervin " he spoke calmly without looking away from his shoes.

" hmm Okay, that's good then, how about last names, what would they be, what would yours be ? "

" Lanceton " Jacob simply answered to which Bandit and Chili nodded.

" Okay, and right now you currently don't know where you are ? "Chili added to which Jacob just awkwardly rubbed his arm looking down at his feet but gave a confirming nod.

" you said, I was still in Australia? "Jacob replied.

" yes, you are, in Queensland Australia, Brisbane to be specific " Bandit added as he then notice the confused and worried look in the boy's face. " Do you know where that is ? does that seem familiar to you? " Bandit asked

Jacob looked up and shook his head " No, I mean, I don't understand any of this ! "he stated rubbing his head, " None of this makes sense, how can I still be in Australia " The Heelers then all looked a bit surprised by that last statement, they watched as the boy rubbed his hands on his head.

" It's not possible, it's not " He muttered too himself. " How can I still be in Australia the last thing I remember was, was being in the Outback?

" The outback? " Bandit then spoke up raising a brow " you don't mean the Barren drylands do you ? "

Jacob nodded his head " Yeah, I was on a tour with my parents and, and " Jacob began as suddenly more quick images flashed in his head, a green light stuck out in his mind " I woke up here " he said rubbing his head.

" Jacob, it's gonna be okay, just try to relax " Chili said " Listen, we'll figure this out, perhaps you just need the time to let things settle and gather you're thoughts, in the mean time, just rest here."

Chili then pondered for a moment as she looked down at her Daughters " Bluey Bingo, how about you run and go take the first aid kit back and while you are up their, look for a pillow for Jacob to rest on " she added as the Two little pups looked at one another

" Okay Mum! "they both said in unison before Bluey grabbed the first aid kit.

" Come on Bingo ! we'll be back with the Pillow ! " Bluey said as she ran off with Bingo.

Once the kids where out of ear shot Chili and Bandit turned their attention back to the Human boy.

" Okay, Jacob, Me and Bandit are going to just, let you rest here for a moment, maybe you'd like something to eat, I had just made lunch a little bit ago, but before that, just to better understand something, if you don't mind us asking, how did you get those injuries ? " Chili asked keeping a soft and calm tone, but one that had a hint of worry in it.

Jacob shut his eyes and let out a Heavy sigh as he began to think back, quick flashes in his head began to play, images of what he Remembered, began to play out in his mind he then shot open his eyes and winced

" It's okay Jacob, you don't have to tell us, we just wanted to be sure you are alright " Bandit added..

" Well, we promise we'll somehow get to the bottom of this Jacob " Bandit nodded as Jacob looked up at the Two dogs, he could really start to feel their willingness to help him from all that they had done already, and that did start to ease him a lot more now.

" Uh, Thanks, that means a lot " Jacob said with appreciative look, to which the Heelers Both gave soft warm smiles and nods.

They both made sure Jacob was okay before leaving him too rest, Bandit made sure to give Jacob another glass of water before they both went off to discuss things and finish lunch.

" Be sure to holler mate if you need something, don't be shy " Bandit said as he made his way up the loft stairs leaving Jacob to rest on the Couch, he took another long drink of the water, feeling the refreshing liquid run down his throat, he le out a satisfied sigh as he shut his eyes and tried to let everything that had happen just sink in...

" Okay, gather my thoughts, let see, I'm in a House with red and blue Talking dogs , yeah that all seems about right, that totally makes sense after what... what happened " Jacob thought to himself As another flash of light clouded his Mind , he let out a sigh " I'm still out there, aren't I, unless, unless it was what I saw out there, that brought me here..."

" Um, Mr. Human, Jacob ? "

Jacob's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the Voice of Bluey, to which he opened his eyes and looked forward, seeing Bluey standing their with Bingo standing close behind her a bit.

" Me and Bingo got you a Pillow " Bluey said holding out a fluffy pillow " we wanted to find the most fluffy one for you, but also one that had the best patterns " The blue Heeler said with a smile as she held it out to him.

" Hmm ? ooh right, uh thanks..." he said trying to remember her name.

" It's bluey " the young heeler said with a nod as Jacob took the Pillow from her.

" Right, Bluey " Jacob said

" Do you like it ? "Bluey asked as Jacob set the Pillow next to him.

" It's nice, thanks you two " Jacob said with a nod as the two Heelers tails wagged at this, then suddenly they did something that made him a bit surprised, they hopped into the Couch next too him.

" Sooo, you're a Human ? " Bluey asked the Boy , her eyes were full of lots of curiosity to which Jacob awkwardly glance around before giving a nod of conformation.

" Woow! " Bluey then exclaimed as Bingo kept close to her older sister, yet showed just as much curiosity about this strange visitor as she did." I never heard of a Human before. "

" did you say you were Sixteen ? " Bluey asked again, as Jacob again nodded. " ooh! that's like really old! " Bluey said fascinated which Jacob just gave a confused look at that" I'm only six " bluey stated.

" And I am four " Bingo added.

" And you are from Canada ? "Bluey added now to which Jacob again nodded." I never been there, is it really cold ? do you see a lot of Polar bears ? "Bluey then asked curiously

" Uh, No not really, and it's only really cold in the winter "Jacob said sounding more awkward then anything.

" Are their More Humans in Canada? "Bingo then asked next.

" Of course, there are humans everywhere, I mean, there should be? at least where I come from. "Jacob said placing his hand on his head.

" Do humans usually have Fur? or did you shed it all off when you came to Australia? "Bluey asked which just made Jacob give her an odd look. "And what about tails, do humans not have tails? "Bluey said pointing to hers.

" I uh, well No? Humans don't typically have fur or tails "Jacob explained but sounded more confused about all this however both Bluey and Bingo looked stunned when Jacob told them this.

"Then how do you keep warm in the cold winters? " Bluey asked

" Or, wag you're tail when you're happy ? " Bingo added almost seeming concerned now.

Jacob just sighed now when bluey asked him another question.

" Do Humans like Games ? "

" Games ? "Jacob said arching a brow.

" Yeah! Games, do Humans like to play them? "

" Uuuh, well I guess so I mean? " Jacob tried to find words to answer that , starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with the question.

Suddenly Chili's voice rang out from upstairs.

" Girls, why don't you come up here. "

Bluey and Bingo both looked up to see their mother standing at the top of the stairwell, so then both looked at Jacob again.

" We gotta go, talk later Jacob, but we'll get back to you on that Game question later " Bluey said as Both she and Bingo hopped off the couch and made their way up to their Mother leaving Jacob alone.

Once they reached their Mum, Chili began to walk away with them.

" Come on girls, why don't you let Jacob Rest, I think he could use it, Come play up here for a bit " Chili said to her daughters.

" We just wanted to know more about him and humans and show him were friendly and curious " Bluey defended which made Chili chuckle a little

" I'm glad you want to make him feel more welcomed, but overwhelming him with questions isn't what he needs right now. "

" Well we learned a lot already, didn't we Bingo ? " Bluey said looking at her little sister who nodded.

" Yeah, Humans are kinda strange, they don't have Tails " Bingo said looking like she just discovered the impossible.

" Nor do they have Fur, but we have yet to learn if Humans like Games " Bluey added rubbing her paw on her chin in a suspicious manner to which Chili just playfully shook her head.

Meanwhile Jacob continued to sit their on the couch, " Well aren't they a curious and energetic bunch " he said to himself rubbing his head, he couldn't help but chuckle at the encounter he had just had with the pups.

He though decided to just sit there for some time, using the pillow the two sisters had got for him to lay his head on, for a moment he decided too not over stimulate his mind but instead just take in everything around him, as he noted earlier he was in a large high ceiling room with a stairwell leading up to a second level, the wall paper was a Light green stripe pattern, there was a bookshelf and he could notice many pictures hanging on the wall, many showing images of this Heeler family he was currently with, everything felt so surreal to him yet there was this very inviting atmosphere, everything that had happened to him, was slowly sinking in, and with that the Pillow he was resting on began to feel very soft as he let his eyes start to shut and just let his mind settle

Meanwhile up at the top of the stairs, Bluey peeked her head over the side railing seeing the Human laying there on their sofa, her mind was still racing with curiosity questions , but the pup new she was going to have to wait before she could find out anything more. for now she decided to go back and play with Bingo as her mum said
