Chapter 9 " Let the Games Begin
As the Day went on not much else happened, Jacob helped out chili with a few more chores and Bluey continued her day at school as per usual, but soon the school day had come to an end and Bandit had come to pick up Bluey and Bingo to take them home and as soon at the young pups had got through the front door they excitingly shouted for there Mum.
" Mum! " Both the young pups said as they ran through the house to greet their mother.
" Hello girls, hope you had a great day at school " Chili said as both her kids hugged her, excitingly telling her all about there day, Bandit chuckled before heading to the kitchen saying he was going to grab a coffee and a bite.
" So, did you girls a have a good day? " Chili asked again, as Bluey nodded her head as well as Bingo
" I absolutely did, and now that schools over, I can play some games with Jacob, he said he would, where ishe ? " Bluey asked eagerly looking quite excited now.
" I think he's upstairs, watching TV still " Chili chuckled, Bluey quickly rushed off in a flash before she could say anymore
" Come on Bingo! " Bluey called back to her sister to fallow her, chili playfully rolled her eyes before going about her buisness.
Upstairs Jacob sat on the sofa watching another ep of Strange Australia when suddenly Bluey appeared in front of him with a excited grin on her face.
" Hey Jacob! were back from school" she said happily as Bingo stood next to her nodding her head.
" Oh!, Hey, Bluey, hey Bingo, uh welcome back. " Jacob said caught off guard by there sudden presence.
" Soo! you ready to play! " Bluey said wagging her tail as Jacob arched a brow seeming confused for a moment " play? " he said as Bluey nodded
" Yeah, remember? you said you'd like to play some games with me and Bingo when we got home from school " Bluey reminded the Human boy who looked perplexed for a moment but then remembered his conversation last night with Bluey.
"Oh yeah I did didn't I? " he said sheepishly " well, uh I guess so then."
" Hooray!" Bluey chimed. "
" What sort of games do you want to play? " Jacob asked still arching a brow.
" Lets go down to the playroom and pick a game to play! " Bluey said excitingly.
" Good Idea! " Bingo chimed in, Quickly both the pups ran of out the room beckoning Jacob to fallow them, to which he got up to fallow, not exactly sure what he was in store for now. as soon as he and the pups had left the room, Bandit poked his head inside seeing it empty now
" Now this dog will Catch some Cricket " he said slyly plopping onto the couch grabbing the remote.
Downstairs in the Playroom
" What should we play?" Bluey said rubbing her hand under her chin, as Jacob stood there with his hands in his pocket waiting for them to pick a game. " Ooh, how about we play Smelly fish? " Bluey said, holding up a rubber fish toy as Jacob looked a bit confused, " Oh actually I got a better one " she then quickly grabbed a Kola plush "We could play Crazy Kolas! "
" Crazy Kolas? "Jacob said but was interrupted,
" Crazy Kolas? "Jacob said arching a brow
But both the sister began to name off more games, from restaurant and Hotel, to one called Magic xylophone! " suggested by Bingo.
" Magic Xylophone? " Jacob cocked his head " what kind of games are these exactly? "
" Fun games! " Bluey wagged her tail " It's really hard deciding what game to play "
" I never even heard of any of these games before " Jacob said lightly shaking his head.
" Well, I guess you're about to see how fun they are " Bluey said with a cheeky grin.
" Maybe we could play with something in the Toybox " Bingo said rummaging through it Prompting Jacob to widen his eyes remembering he had shoved Chattermax in there.
" Uuuh, hey! wait um perhaps one of those games you just mentioned would be fun or uuh, maybe something over here we can play with " he said trying to direct attention away from the toy box, however as he did, he suddenly stumbled over the Dress up basket knocking it over spilling out some items.
Bluey and Bingo looked back to see what had fallen on the floor and starred at it for a moment before they both grinned.
" Fantasy Forest! " they both chimed in happily.
" Huh? " Jacob looked down at the stuff on the floor, seeing the various Items...
Later..
Bluey and Bingo Peeked there heads out into the main lounge room for a moment " Come on guys, the coast his clear, " Bluey said stepping out now wearing a Cloak around her self with a hood. fallowed by Bingo who was sporting a similar one. " Come on Jacob, we have to move " Bluey said as Jacob walked out now, wearing a small blanket tied around his neck like a cape minus a hood.
" Now remember we are exploders in a Fantasy forest, and we have get through without being caught by all the creatures that live here " Bluey explained once again to the Human
" Uuh, yeah I got that " Jacob nodded as Bluey and Bingo quickly trekked on through the imaginative forest. " the couch and tables are rocks! " Bluey said jumping onto the couch " and the stairs! that's the mountain that leads up to the...Beast king's Lair " Bluey said dramatically
" Oh no, the Beast that keeps eating all our food when we sleep! " Bingo added faking a gasp.
" And we have to stop that Beast from taking all our food " Bluey said " Come on brave adventurers ! we will finally put a stop to this! " Bluey said dramatically putting her hand in the air. Bingo chimed in next.
" But how can we face the Beast, they are really big and really mean! " Bingo said
" Well, there are three of us and only one of them " Bluey said crossing her arms looking at both Bingo and Jacob.
" Lets go! " Bluey said as she made her way up the stairs as Bingo let out a wild shout fallowing her sister, Jacob stood there for a moment before fallowing them up the stairs.
In the Hallway now Bluey and Bingo stood there " this is a very dangerous path, it's full of spiders! " Bluey said as she pretend to make her way through " eek, the floor is all webby and stuff "
" I hope I don't get stuck! " Bingo said as she fallowed behind Bluey " ick it's so sticky through here "
Jacob continued to fallow and observe the girls as they moved through the hallway, finding it quite intriguing how vast and vivid their imaginations were with this game.
" We have to keep going if we stop, we will get-"
" STUCK!" Bingo suddenly shouted, prompting both Bluey and Jacob to look over at at her, seeing she was now standing against the wall with her arms sprawls out in a fashion looking like she was caught in a web.
" I can't get free! the spiders will get me! " Bingo said struggling.
" Oh no Bingo! " Bluey said looking worried, She quickly ran over to Bingo and tried to pull her out of the " Web " " grrr, you're really stuck Bingo! I don't know if I can pull you "she then looked over at Jacob.
" Jacob! you'll have to do it " Bluey said, Jacob looked a bit puzzled
" Me? "
" Yeah, you're bigger so you're stronger " Bluey explained as Jacob thought about it.
" Yeah, that is true I guess " he said as he walked over to Bingo, who looked up at him
"Are you going help me Mr Jacob human? " she spoke as Jacob looked down at her before putting on a serious face " I will " he nodded, he grabbed Bingo as he observed her
" Okay lets see here " he grabbed her two arms and then gently began to pull, but Bingo kept herself firmly in place.
" You have to pull real hard, the webbing is very tough " Bluey said " And hurry the spiders will be coming back! "
Jacob look down at Bingo again and then began to pull harder, Bingo tried to resist giving the illusion of the web holding her, but with one more slightly harder tug Jacob pulled Bingo free and stumbled back with the both of them falling down.
" You did it! " Bluey exclaimed! " you freed Bingo! "
Jacob sat there as Bingo sat in front of him and suddenly cheered " you saved me from the spiders! thank you Jacob! " then with not expecting it, Bingo Hugged him showing her gratitude.
Seeming a but shocked, Jacob then gave a light smile" uh, Hey, it was nothing " Jacob said gently patting her back.
" Look guys ! I found something! " Bluey called back now having just moved on ahead a bit. Both Jacob and Bingo went over to where Bluey was now, she was standing by the entrance to the Kitchen. everyone peeked inside and saw Chili in there sitting at the table reading through a catalog.
" Do you see that ? " Bluey said in a whisper, Bingo nodded her head
" It's a Forest, enchant,um enchanter-errr" Bingo struggled to say
" It's a forest Lady! " Bluey said instead in a more loud whisper " Maybe she knows about the Beast king. "
Suddenly Chili put down the catalog and look over at them, a slight smirk on her face before she then began " Why do you stand outside of the domain of the Forest Lady, please, you may stand before me " Chili spoke in a mystical sounding voice. Jacob again raised a brow at this, was she jumping into the game just like that?
The three of them entered the " Forest lady's domain " and stood before here, chili smiled
" Why have you three young ones come here, this place is not for adventurers to seek " Chili continued to speak.
" We have come because we are trying to find the Lair of the beast king ! " Bluey said causing Chili to put on a mock shocked expression.
" The Beast King!? oh my you must be really brave to expect to face the Beast king, he is very grumpy! "
" Well yes, but that's why I have my fellow adventurers " Bluey said gesturing back to Bingo and Jacob " we already made it past the Big spiders, we can handle the Beast king " Bingo nodded in agreement. " We have to stop him from always eating our food "
" Well, be cautious young adventures, the Beast King is not one to be taken lightly " Chili said keeping up her forest lady act.
" We will, now, can you please point us to the Lair of the Beast King? " Bluey asked as Chili nodded " you'll find the Beast King, just down the pathing way you had come from, he'll be resting lazily in his lair " Chili said as Bluey nodded
" Okay, got it, thanks forest lady " Bluey said with a look of determination on her face. " Come on guys, the Beast king awaits! "
" Be carful did I mention he's very Grumpy! " Chili called out as the young pups ran out of the room, Jacob remained there for a moment chili looked at him giving a a littles smile " Better hurry the others are going to need you against the Beast king " she spoke keeping in character before getting back to her reading.
" Come on Jacob! " both the girls shouted back at him,Jacob quickly caught up with them, they were now approaching the TV Room,
" This is it, the Beast Kings lair " Bluey said glancing back at the others now. " let me peek inside and see if he is in there " Bluey slowly poked her head inside the room and gazed around, she then gasped when she saw him, in his lair, she quickly looked back at the others.
" He's in there alright, laying on a stone bed looking at some magical portal thing "
" The Beast King is laying on a stone bed watching portals? " Jacob repeated, Bluey nodded her head.
"that's what I just said, take a look "
Jacob peeked into the room and saw Bandit laying there on the couch, watching TV, he seemed to be paying no attention to them as he watch Cricket.
" Did you see him? isn't he fierce!" Bluey said as Jacob looked down at her
" Uuh, yeah pretty scary " he said giving a light chuckle.
" How are we going to make him stop stealing our food? " Bingo spoke next.
" Hmm, well even with Jacob here, he's still bigger and stronger then all us " Bluey said crossing her arms.
" Do you have any ideas Jacob? " Bluey said looking up at him now,
" Ideas? oh,um did you think to ask him nicely? " Jacob said not being too sure how to respond.
" Ask him? look at him he's a giant Beast, he won't have that. "
" Plus the forest lady said he's grumpy! " Bingo added.
" Uuh, fine, fine, but, you really think you're dad is up for playing? he looks pretty busy? " Jacob added
" That's not our dad he's the Beast King, and he's going to keep stealing food unless we stop him. " Bluey said, Jacob thought for a moment then.
" Well then, I guess we'll have to try aaaand " Jacob pondered for a moment longer rubbing his chin when Bluey spoke up again.
" Wait, he's using that magic thing there to control the Portal! if we take that from him he'll have not choice but to listen to us " Bluey exclaimed, " I have a plan " she added putting on a mischievous face.
As Bandit sat there being very invested into the game, he did not notice the three " adventures " sneaking into the room behind him.
" There it is, we just need get the remote-I mean magic stick " Bluey whispered to the others, we'll sneak up front and get it while he's distracted, stand guard Jacob " Bluey said as both she and her sister began to crawl around to the front of the couch as Bandit watched TV. Jacob watched as they crawled up in front of the couch and poked there heads up by the remote resting the cushion.
" Lets get it " Bluey whispered as she slowly began to reach for it when..." Bluey, Bingo? what are you doing? " Bandit said tilting his head,
Both the pups starred at him for a moment before they both shouted in alarm
" Oh no! the Beast King has spotted us! " Bluey flailed her arms " Run! " Bingo added as the kids began to run around screaming Bandit blinked for a moment before he then let out a low gruff growl before speaking in a dramatic deep voice" Girrr what are you doing in my Lair! " he then stood up and instantly took on some beastly characteristics in his behavior, taking in a gruff tone and standing with a slouch.
Jacob poking his head up from behind the couch was almost taken aback by how quickly he seemed to not only jump into the game but get into character, he continued to watch as Bandit chased his daughters around playing roll of the Beast king
" Gaaaah! you Tiny adventurers! leave my lair raaaoor!" Bandit shouted in his gruff voice, He continued to chase the girls
" Get the magic stick! hurry! " Bluey shouted they both ran to the couch and attempted to grab the remote, but just before she could bandit grabbed her and held her up emitting mock roars and groan
" Raaaaooor! Beast king is very displeased! you little adventurers make me Grumpy! "
Bluey laughed and screamed as bandit playfully shook her around " Help! hahaha help the Beast King's got me! "
" Oh no Bluey! we have to help her! " Bingo shouted trying to grab her sister down as Bandit kept pulling her away
" You had made me very grumpy! now you must face the wrath of the Beast King! " Bandit shouted emitting more fake roars and groans,
Jacob watched on for a moment as Bluey shouted again " Get the Magic stick! quickly! " Jacob look down to see the remote was just on the couch below him, he narrowed his eyes and quickly grabbed it and held it up
" Hey! Beast King! I got something of yours ! " he shouted which caused Bandit " The Beast king " to look his way.
" Hmm? Foolish Adventurer what are you doing with my magic channel changer ! " He spoke sounding more shocked.
" Uuuh, um, I have you're magic changing stick thing, " Jacob spoke trying his best to put on a dramatic voice. " And I'll do what ever I want with it unless you listen to us! "
Bandit then suddenly put Bluey down and gasped " Whaaaat!? No no no! please don't do anything to it, I need it, it's important to me please give it back! " he spoke now in a pleading tone.
Bluey and Bingo ran over to Jacob with smirks on there faces " Will you do what ever we say then Mr beast king ? "
Bandit dropped to his knees and began to nod his head " Yes, yes, please just give me back my magic channel changer! "
Bluey rubbed her chin " hmm, what do you guys say then? " She said looking over at Jacob and Bingo " Yeah! make him stop eating our food! " Bing shouted.
Bluey turned back to face the "Beast King" . " Well then you promise to stop eating our food ? " Bluey spoke.
Banidt nodded his head again " Yes, I promise I won't ever sneak down to eat you're food again! "
" Alright you big Beast, you can have you're Magic thingy back " Bluey said as she looked over at Jacob, " Okay, you can give it back " she nodded with a smile "He'll be nice now "
Jacob walked over to Bandit and handed him the remote, which he took gratefully
" Oh thank you thank you! so much " Bandit said in a grateful tone " you sir are a very kind and brave adventurer"
" Uh, thanks? " Jacob said rubbing his arm.
" Hooray! "Bluey and Bingo both shouted now as they excitedly ran off, not before Bluey faced Jacob " Come one Jacob! lets play another game! " The Blue Heeler shouted as she ran out of the room.
Jacob looked back at Bandit who chuckled before getting back on the couch " Have fun mate." he smiled before getting back to his game, Jacob thought for a moment, was this how all games went in this family? this was going to be a interesting time for sure, he shrugged and went to fallow the two young pups, wondering just what sort of other games they had in store..
