Chapter 11 Reflections

Later that evening...

After a Good Dinner it was soon Bed time for Bluey and Bingo, who promptly showed resistance in the matter but gave in when Bandit said they could play some Bedtime games before bed, one of which Jacob overheard was called rocket ship, " this family and games? " he thought to himself.

The young pups said goodnight to their mother as they fallowed their father to get ready before bed.

" Goodnight Jacob " Both Bluey and Bingo spoke to Jacob

" Thanks for playing games with us today " Bluey said as Jacob looked at her.

" Yeah, it was really fun, thanks for saving me from the spiders " Bingo added

" Uh, yeah no problem " he replied to which the young pups beamed before Bandit smiled and hurried the kids along to bed.

Jacob meanwhile helped Chili tidy up the kitchen, they both chatted a bit, mostly Jacob recounting what he went through when playing games with Bluey and Bingo.

" They are quite imaginative aren't they? " Chili chuckled " and never short of fun and energy either " she added. to which Jacob nodded in agreement.

" Well you all seemed to really jump into the game, Bandit just jumped into the role "

Chili gave a little chuckle " Ah yeah, you can say game times are very special for them around here"

" Well that's the dishes all cleaned up, thanks again Jacob " Chili smiled with a nod she then seemed to be examining Jacob for a moment which he took notice of.

" Um, something the matter? "

" Hmm? oh sorry I was just, well thinking "

" Thinking what?"

" Well, It's just, When's the last time you had a proper clean up? you been here for about 4 days now I think" Chili said.

"Ooh " Jacob thought for a moment " I'm, not too sure honestly, I think probably just before me and my...parents, went to tour the outback, that could have been who knows how many days ago now " Jacob said trying to think back.

" I see, hmm, well you know what, how about you go and have a nice warm wash in the bathroom before you get settled into bed for the night" Chili suggested.

" Really? well I suppose then, I do feel like I could use one " Jacob pondered for a moment

" sure thing, I could also throw those clothes of yours in with the rest of the laundry, forgive me for saying but they are looking a bit err stained " Chili said with a sheepish grin on her face, Jacob glanced down at his attire and he had to admit, he's worn then straight for days and they were looking a bit rough.

" Um, I Suppose so if you wouldn't mind it, but, um " Jacob then rubbed the back of his neck in a awkward gesture.

" What is it? " Chili arched one of her brows as Jacob's cheeks flushed a bit

" I wouldn't have anything to wear for the time being if you did that " He spoke, which then made chili look on with some slight confusion before her eyes widen slightly and thenseemed to give a understanding nod.

" Oh I see, I see, hmm well yes that'd be something we'll have to figure out as we can't have you in dirty clothes all the time , well how about for now just have you're wash and we'll worry about laundry later " Chili nodded again to which Jacob returned

" Thanks Mrs Heeler " he spoke rubbing the back of his neck before heading off..

..

A little bit later

Jacob soon entered inside the bathroom before shutting the door behind him , Chili had told him where the Towels were and anything else he'd needed would be so he quickly got himself ready after he turned on the water in the Glass shower, stepping into it he felt the warmth of the steam around him and felt soothing jet of the warm water running down him, he let it do that for a moment, even letting the water rinse over his bandages.

After a moment of that he reached for a Bottle on the side curiously reading the label first "Silk Coat's Formula, Coconut scented" he arched a brow before giving a sighed " Dog Shampoo, should of seen that coming" he murmured to himself.

Meanwhile

" And they all lived Happily ever after " Bandit said before closing the book he had just been reading to his kid's " How was that one? " He spoke glancing over at Bingo to see she was already fast asleep in her bed, smiling he looked over at Bluey now.

" That was a good story dad, " Bluey nodded. " I like happy endings " the young Heeler spoke to which Bandit agreed with her.

" Me too kid, Life is most best when they happen " he said as he put the book away, " But now it's bed "

"Daad.." Bluey spoke as she gripped her covers.

" Yeah mate? " Bandit said as he tucked in the already sleeping Bingo...

" I didn't tell anyone at school about Jacob " she said glancing downward.

" Ah like I suggested? good on ya " Bandit gave small praise to his daughter patting her head.

" buut..I did say I made a new friend...from Canada " she added " and I said that one day, they could meet him " she admitted to which Bandit understood.

" I see, hmm "

" Will they get too one day? " she asked as Bandit glanced aside for a moment.

" Well mate, it's tough to say, Jacob is only staying here until we can find out where we need to send him. and well, we can't exactly say when that will be but maybe someday it could be possible for you're friends to meet him , " Bandit explained.

" Well I had a lot of fun playing with him, and Bingo too, I think my friends would like to play with him if they could, He already got to meet Lucky's dad " Bluey said as Bandit approached her to tuck her in.

" Yeah, Lucky's dad really seemed curios about him didn't he?, well don't worry short stuff, I'm sure that in do time, we'll see what happens " he nodded " But for now, just get to sleep we'll see what Tomorrow brings " Bandit said as he made his way towered the bedroom door.

" Night dad " Bluey spoke softly letting out a small yawn.

" Night kid, love you " Bandit

...

" I smell like I just came out of the Groomers " Jacob spoke to himself as he examined himself in the bathroom mirror after having dried off and gotten back into his clothes, " At least I feel cleaner now " He then quickly brushed his teeth before he exited the bathroom.

He made his way toward the living room to get ready for another night of rest, he Came across Bandit and Chili who were looking ready to get some rest as well.

" Ah hey mate, you're lookin nice clean, Have a wash? " Bandit said to which Chili nodded her head.

" He sure did, how you feelin? " Chili asked.

Jacob nodded " Well, I feel much Cleaner right now " Jacob said with a sheepish grin

" Well that's good, bet you'll have a real good rest now " Bandit said as Chili Nodded.

" Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Heeler " Jacob said to which both of them gave a small chuckle

" It's no worries Jacob, it's good to keep oneself taken care of " Chili said to which Jacob nodded head in agreement before they all bid each other a goodnight and head off to do just that.

Jacob headed toward the living, where he soon had gotten himself settled in the for night. the days event's running through his head, playing with Bluey and Bingo, Meeting Pat, or " Lucky's dad " and then trying to find his Camara, he still wondered where it could have ended up. he le out a small sigh, best he didn't worry on it too much right now, and just try to get some sleep, because at least he was feeling fresher, cleaner despite smelling like a groomed dog..he settled in for what he hoped was a calm and peaceful night...right?

Cars honked, the distant sirens blared, the Ambiance he had been all too used too, The busy streets of Toronto echoed all around him as he sat their on the Balcony overlooking the street Below...people busying and hurrying back and fourth, Jacob took in a deep breath, it was how he spent so many of his days, just sitting there watching the world go by, people having places to be and things to do, he saw many things he was used too seeing everyday, Bikers, cabs, tourists and more, all busying themselves. however there was one thing he would gaze down upon that would always catch his attention more then anything else.

He would see families ,parents with their kids going about through the city for what ever reason. He'd watch them laughing and talking as they walked along the sidewalk, it was those moments that always caught his attention, he'd watch them as they past by where he lived. everyday he'd see similar sights like that...and those sights only reminded him of how he felt spending his days like this, how he longed for things to be different...

Jacob took a deep breath as he stood upright now, hands griping the Balcony beam as he look upward into the sky, however that's when something began to happen, the sky began to turn very dark, like night had suddenly came only there was not a single detail in the sky, no stars or anything, and quickly he began to see the cityscape around him began to fade away into darkness... and soon he was overlooking a vast dark void of nothingness.

Panicked and confused he backed away only to realize he was now standing in the middle of this dark void with nothing around him, above or under him! and he soon began to feel a sensation rise in his stomach as he realized he was falling! falling into the void, faster and faster that's when his surroundings began to change into a a green tunnel, a tunnel of green light as he fell and as he gazed down to see where he was falling he began to make out the image of something appearing below him, until he saw a city appearing below him,lights glowing, it was getting closer and closer, like he was falling into it! he soon saw the faint image of a house below him as he was falling right behind it into the backyard...and then..FLASH! The green light blinded him!

Awakening once again from another dream Jacob laid on his side breathing a bit heavily, he sighed as he rolled back onto his backside. " So much for a peaceful night sleep " he thought to himself rubbing his forehead shutting his eyes once more...

The next Day...

Needless to say, Jacob awoke the next morning with the Dream he had that night still fresh in his mind, he knew all too well what these dreams meant, and why he was having them. he just didn't expect for them to be combined this way...either way he wanted to shake it off and just try and have another eventless day among the Heelers.

So with that Breakfast was served and Bluey and Bingo were to be sent off again to head to school, only this time it was Chili who was doing the dropping off for them. meaning Bandit would be Home today.

" How did you sleep last night Jacob? " Bandit then asked Jacob who looked up from his plate of steaming eggs and crisp toast.

" Hmm? oh it was pretty, good thanks " Jacob nodded.

" Well that's all good then, glad to hear " Bandit said as he began to check his phone everyone enjoyed their breakfast before it was soon time for the girls to leave.

" Can we play more games after school Jacob? " Bluey said as she got her stuff ready to leave.

" Uh, sure yeah, why not? " Jacob replied to which the Young Heeler pup cheered, shortly after She and Bingo where shuffled toward the door by their mother.

" Come on come one, let's not be late today " Chili said as she handed Bingo her school bag.

However as she was about to make it out, Bandit who was still checking his phone suddenly widen his eyes, " Oh man.." he then glanced over at Chili watching her leave

" I'll be back mate, enjoy you're breakfast " Bandit said leaving Jacob sitting their as he bit into his toast watching him curiously for a moment as he left the room.

" Hey babe! " Bandit said quickly as he caught up too Chili

" what is it? gotta get these kids out the door asap " she said glancing back at him.

" Well, I just got a message from by Brother, Stripe, I have completely forgotten about it " he said to which Chili looked a bit confused

" forget what? " Chili said more curious now.

" Well, it was just, remember that we had planned for a BBQ that'd be at his place? "Bandit said to which Chili thought for it for a moment but then nodded

" Oh yeah, right, when is that again ? "

Bandit scratched his ear before speaking again " well that Barbie is this weekend on Saturday " Bandit said...

Hey all! Thanks again for reading, and for being patience! I wanted to get this chapter out now as I'll be going on vacation shortly, for a about 5 days. but will be writing more as soon as I can!
