Meetings

The Mystic Force rangers looked at their saviours- the original blue ranger, the wolf duke org and the mysterious people who had managed to fend off Koragg and the Wolfblades with their odd fighting styles and without exercising any ranger powers.

"Thank you, whoever you guys are." Nick told them.

Billy nodded, looking at the others.

"I guess you all are the pack Ninjor told me about." He mumbled.

"Pack? That's what Loyax said I needed to find." Maya said.

"Let me guess, Loyax is the spirit of an old ally who appeared to warn you." Billy asked her.

The girl in yellow nodded.

Billy narrowed his eyes at her. "Wait, I recognize you from the Ranger Archives. You are Maya from Mirinoi, Yellow Quasar Ranger."

"I was, unfortunately I don't have my morpher with me right now." She nodded.

"And you are Merrick, the Lunar Wolf Ranger." He said, looking at the man in silver and his companion. "And Zen Aku? Part of Taylor's team?"

As they nodded, he turned towards the last warrior, who had fought off Koragg all by himself.

"I do not know who you are, but I am guessing you are a wolf ranger too?" He asked.

"Nope." The other man smirked. "My name is RJ. I am the Wolf Master of Pai Zhua."

RJ noticed two of the mystic rangers react to hearing the name of his alma mater- the portly yet handsome man in gold and blue suit, and the Indian woman in yellow.

"But you are not a ranger?" Billy pressed.

"Not as far as I know, but I did see many rangers in my vision and the person who sent me here seemed to be one himself." RJ said.

"Wait, you also met a spirit guide?" Maya asked.

"I did, and according to the vision, there should be more of wolf warriors who should join us." He nodded.

"Okay, sorry to break this up, but I am a little lost here." Nick spoke up, drawing attention to himself. "So, you guys are all Wolf Rangers or somehow linked to the wolf spirit?"

"It would appear so." Merrick nodded.

"And you all are the Mystic Force rangers." Billy surmised, before looking at Ryan. "Except you, Ryan Mitchell – Titanium Ranger."

"Yeah." The Lightspeed operative shrugged. "Sensed a disturbance in the magical planes a while ago and have been helping these guys ever since."

"It seems all of you have been brought here to help us stop Koragg and his Wolfblade army." Lena pointed. "Maybe we can continue this discussion at our base?"

"Right." Billy nodded. "Your enemies are probably spying on us right now. Where to go?"

"I will take care of that." Daggeron smiled, thrusting his hand towards the ground and a giant golden spell circle appeared beneath all of them, quickly teleporting them to the safety of Rootcore.

Bandora snarled, banging her fists on her throne while Morticon chuckled at her, steam blowing from his mechanical horn.

"You were saying, dear?" He asked.

"Don't you start." She warned, her eyes sharpening. She turned towards Koragg, who bowed before them subserviently. "I gave you unlimited powers and yet, after all that, you failed me once again!"

"I apologize, my mistress." He told her. "I had disposed of the Mystic Force but the new warriors-"

"Humans who do not possess magic!" She shrieked. "Do you really expect me to believe you fell to humans! Or is dear Leanbow finally getting a spine and resisting you?"

"NO!" Koragg bellowed. "He is still shackled, a prisoner of his own mind. I am in CONTROL!"

"Then prove it…" She challenged. "You have an army of unbeatable monsters and hidiacs at your command. Attack the city, raze it to the ground and destroy the mystics and their new allies!"

"Warnings from departed spirits, visions and mysterious portals bringing you all here…" Udonna murmured softly before turning towards Clare. "It might be the same entity whom you encountered in the Astral Plane."

"You said there were more of us?" Billy asked RJ.

"The being who spoke to me, his helmet looked like the knight we fought…"

"Koragg?" Nick supplied.

"Yes, him." RJ nodded. "But his armour resembled your suits, with capes and everything."

Udonna frowned.

"Centuries ago, Koragg used to be part of the mystics… Purple mage embodying the element of animal spirits, before he joined the Master and corrupted the purple powers." She said gravely. "The being you saw seems to be him."

"The one I saw was wearing a purple cloak too." Clare added. "His face was shrouded by a hood, so I could not get a clear look… But if it is Koragg, why is he helping us against himself?"

"Maybe it is Koragg, just not the one you know?" RJ pointed out.

"What do you mean?" Xander asked confused.

Chip's eyes lit up as he bounced excitedly.

"You mean a version of him from another universe!" He said eagerly.

"Yes." The wolf master made a finger gun at the yellow mage.

"Wait, are you saying the multiverse is real?" Billy asked slowly. "My team has dealt with time travel and different dimensions, but those dimensions are not alternate timelines, merely dimensions with vastly different laws of physics that are tethered to our own. How can you be sure about this?"

"Because it is real." Udonna said. "Those trained in the mystic arts know about alternate realities and divergent timelines. It is a forbidden art to breach the barriers between dimensions, but I assure you William, they very much exist."

"In fact, you can even say that you are currently in an alternate dimension." Lena added and many, including the mystic rangers whipped their heads to look at her.

"What do you mean?" Ryan asked. "Last I checked, the magic realm was a dimension tethered to Earth, like the Shadow Realm, Abyss of Evil or the Desert of Despair, and not a different dimension."

"You are not wrong." Udonna answered. "But a millennia ago, the magical realm used to be its own universe separate to this one. A parallel reality full of magic. Every planet and dimension was connected to Yggdrasil, the world tree, its magic flowing through every corner of the universe, portals that linked every place, travel through entire star systems possible by just traversing through the bark of a tree, but then an evil sorcerer tried to consume all that magic, something which destabilized the fabric of reality and to save our universe from being destroyed and the resulting wave of energy doing the same to adjacent realities, a band of powerful mystics tethered our universe to your universe."

"Wow!" Neil breathed in amazement. "You can't be serious!"

"I am." Lena nodded. "The magical realm is in many ways, a mirror world to rest of the universe."

"Unbelievable!" Billy nodded.

"There's more to it, isn't it?" Maya asked. "My clan had legends that the forest was a gateway to other planets and dimensions. Mysterious portals have opened, that bridged Mirinoi to Earth and other places."

"Yes. When our worlds merged, the Yggdrasil of the magical universe combined with that of this world, essentially making our former universe the Yggdrasil of this world… a forest that exists in the world tree, in the space between worlds and dimensions." She explained. "And a rich focus of magical energies. The Tribunal of Magic put barriers that protected our realm from invaders yet there were some who wanted to explore this new universe. They traversed the universe, settling roots on various planets. I think your home planet might be one of them."

"That's all interesting, but we still have rogue creatures that are out for our blood." Nick reminded.

"Right." Merrick spoke up, drawing attention to himself and his org companion. "And while some force brought me and the other wolf totem bearers together, most of us don't have our ranger powers anymore."

"I was never a ranger to begin with." RJ spoke up. "And even without ranger powers or armour, we are far from helpless. We all have the spirit of the wolves empowering us."

"This time, we took them by surprise." Zen Aku said. "Next time, the knight will come prepared."

"If fate has brought us all together, it must be for a reason." Maya said softly, turning towards the mystics. "Powers or not, we are with you."

"Thank you." Udonna smiled at them, just as the alarms started blaring and the monitors showed Koragg and his wolfblades attacking the city.

The mystics and Ryan struggled to get up, their powers having been severely drained. Darien was still unconscious.

"No, stay here." Billy told the rangers. "In this state, your bodies will not be able to withstand or sustain a morph. We will handle it from here."

"It's just five of you and four of you don't have ranger powers." Neil reminded before his eyes lit up as he got an idea. "Maybe you can use ours?"

"Not possible." Lena said quickly. "Our morphers correspond to your elemental magic. It will not work for them."

"And mine only works for me because I was exposed to extra dimensional energies. The titanium morpher would destroy any normal human." Ryan added.

The white mystic sighed, looking crestfallen.

"Hey, don't worry." Billy reassured him. "We can take care of ourselves."

They turned to Udonna. "Can you teleport us there?"

The white witch nodded, taking out her wand and pointing it at them. A white magic circle appeared underneath their feet, quickly whisking them away in a flash of white light.

This was very much a filler chapter but I hope you guys liked it anyway. I had fun establishing the lore of the magic realm.

Please review. :)
