Return of the Power
Koragg stared at the band of five warriors who appeared before his army.
"You five might have caught me unaware last time, but are you so deluded to think you can best me again?" He asked. "This is your last chance to return to where you came from. This is not your fight."
"Like heck it isn't!" Billy laughed. "I have fought a lot of evil forces just like you over the years, and I know your kind won't stop at one city or even one planet… Earth is our home, and all its people are under our protection."
"Bold words, ranger… Have you forgotten you are only one ranger against an army of the universe's deadliest creatures?" He leered. "Your friends may be warriors and may even have some parlor tricks up their sleeves… But they have no magic nor do they have any ranger powers… You will fall."
"Then we will fall together." Maya said.
"Besides, we are far from powerless." RJ said, a purple aura enveloping him, and Zen-Aku took out his blade.
"That actually gives me an idea…" Billy paused. "The Morphin Grid always works in strange ways. It brought all of us together… We do not know all the laws it governs to, but I do know one."
The others looked at him, and even Koragg paused.
"Balance." He completed. "Guys, place your hands on my shoulders. It is a long shot but it just might work."
The others shot him confused looks but did what was asked. Billy was in the center, with Maya and RJ on one side and Merrick and Zen-Aku on the other. He took out his morpher and raised it to the skies like so many times before, hoping his desperate gambit would work. He was never a man who took chances and risks… He left that for Jason or Tommy, but this time, all he had on his side was hope.
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" He yelled, blue light cackling from his power coin and wrapping around his body before spreading to intertwine around the other four as well. As it reached RJ, his own purple spirit energy meshed with the light, and started to interweave with the blue tendrils.
Zen-Aku started glowing in a black light, Merrick in silver and Maya in yellow… all their energies interacting with Billy and RJ's powers, before it culminated in a bright flash.
When it subsided, there stood five fully morphed rangers.
"Unbelievable!" Maya breathed, feeling the familiar presence of her ranger suit and her Quasar Saber hanging around her waist.
"Groovy!" RJ whistled, looking down at his own purple suit which had the Pai Zhua symbol on his chest, and silver bands around his arms.
Merrick looked down to see his familiar suit, then he turned around to see something more startling… a Wild Force ranger, with an exact similar design to his suit, the only differences being that instead of silver and blue, he was wearing black and red, and that he had a crimson visor. The new ranger held Zen-Aku's blade, while he looked down, inspecting his new suit.
"Zen-Aku, is that you?" He asked bewildered.
"Yes." Came the low voice of his brother in arms. "This power… It is truly astonishing."
"Thank Zordon, it worked!" Billy chuckled. "Now we have a fighting chance."
"WHAT!" Koragg fumed in anger, before turning sideways at the creatures under his command. "What are you waiting for- ATTACK!"
The wolfblades howled, charging at them, and Billy turned to his new team.
"Ready guys?"
There was a murmur of assent as the rangers took fighting stances.
"Blue Ranger Power!"
"Yellow Galaxy Ranger!"
"Jungle Fury Purple Ranger!"
"Wild Force Lunar Ranger!"
"Wild Force Eclipse Ranger!"
"Power Rangers- Wolf Warriors!"
In the dark recesses of Koragg's mind, a chained warrior looked up, seeing a single ray of light break through the murky fog… the first time in two decades, and smiled.
Billy led the charge as the rangers met the wolfblades in battle.
"Power Lance!" He did not waste any time summoning his power weapon and swung it in a wide arc, letting loose blue sparks as it cut through the dark creatures, sending them hissing back in pain. He snapped the lance into half with his knee, using the double blades to stab two wolves before running through the swarm of monsters, the blades slicing through the monsters.
Yellow cosmic energies lit up Maya's quasar saber as she carved through the monster army, while Zen-Aku did the same with his crescent blade.
Merrick struck the wolfblades with his lunar cue, silver energies incinerating them on impact.
RJ pounced on the demons with a flurry of super powered punches and kicks, that sent them reeling back.
"Spirit of the Wolf, UNLEASH!" he yelled, striking a pose. Purple flares lit up his form, before they rose to take the shape of a wolf, which promptly tackled the wolfblades with his claws and sharp teeth, tearing them to shreds.
As the last of the wolfblades evaporated into black fumes, they turned to Koragg.
"How… The Wolfblades were supposed to be indestructible!" he spluttered, as the black fumes started to evaporate.
"Maybe to any other warrior… But all of us are empowered by the wolf spirit… If water cannot extinguish a flame, another fire would." Maya said, stepping forward, pointing her sword at the knight. "Surrender now, knight."
"Never!" He snarled, lifting his sword from his shield.
Just then, a spell circle appeared between them, and Bandora appeared, her hands cackling with electricity.
"I won't let my plans go to waste this easily, rangers…" She snarled, extending her right hand towards the area where black flames slowly fizzled out and the other at Koragg, and started chanting in a different tongue.
The fumes swirled into a tendril of dark magic that encircled her hands and creeped across her shoulders and opposite hand before darting at Koragg.
The knight let loose a guttural howl as the tendril seeped into his armour, forcing him to his knees.
"What are you doing to him?" Billy yelled.
"You will find out soon…" She smirked before vanishing in a puff of black smoke.
Koragg stood up and dark spell circles appeared all over the battlefield, and innumerable monsters stepped out of them… All of them were wolf like creatures, yet the malicious gleam in their eyes showed clearly that they were not just mindless minions like the wolfblades, but calculating warriors.
Zen Aku gasped as he saw a monster, that resembled him.
"Who are these creatures?" He asked.
"Wolves of the darkness, called from the Abyss…" Koragg answered coldly. "You now face every warrior, warlock and demon who has ever used the dark wolf magicks…"
Billy looked at the other rangers. Wolfblades themselves were fearsome foes, but facing so many creatures on their own was going to be difficult.
He took a deep breath, calming his nerves.
The other rangers regrouped behind him.
"Very well…" He looked at the knight. "Bring it on."
