Chapter 18 Room improvements

Later at Bluey's school

" Hey kIddo!"

" Dad!"

Bluey exclaimed excitedly as ran out of her school to greet her father who knelt and greeted her with an nice embrace.

" How was you're day mate?" Bandit asked as Bluey hugged him back tail wagging excitedly

" It was a really good day!" The Blue Heeler chimed quickly stepping back. " I have lots to tell you!"

Bandit chuckled a bit at her enthusiasm" Ah, that's good then, you can tell me all about it as we go pick up your sister " he said while nodding.

Bluey eagerly fallowed her dad tot he car and bidding miss Calypso Farwell whom waved them both off.

Shortly after Both Young Heeler pups were sitting in the back seat, going about their day in exaggerated and happy fashions

" Sooooooo... Mackenzie said to Indy that some Dogs like to chase squirrels, but that just seems silly to me." Bluey said.

" Well Mrs. retriever taught us how to sing the happy day song!"

" I can't wait to tell Jacob all about it!" Bluey piped in.

" Well, I'm sure he'll both have time to listen to you're stories, he's just getting settled into his new room he'll be staying in for the time being. "

Bluey and Bingos' eyes both widen with excitement as they heard this.

" He's got his new room now!" Bluey exclaimed " why didn't you tell us sooner!" she said now almost looking disappointed.

Bandit glanced back at them through the rearview mirror.

" What?" he chuckled " I just told you now, you squirts were goin on about you're day "

" Yeah but only because you didn't try to tell us before that!" Bluey said throwing her hands up in the air.

" What does his new room have?" Bingo asked next.

" It's only the small storage unit, near the stairs up top, and we just got him a bed, can't have him sleeping on the couch all the time " Bandit explained to him.

However both Bluey and Bingo glanced as one another..

" Only a bed?...weeeelll, we can see about that " Bluey said with a knowing little smirk.

Back at the Heeler home

" Parallel universes, known to be the idea of worlds outside our own that exist the same as we do, a world where Dogfolk like you and me roam and go about their days as we do, in a parallel fashion, but in a completely separate reality , though no evidence has ever been proven of such an anomaly, Countless theories have been conjured up detailing the possibilities of other worlds. but to this very day the idea still remains but wonderous theory "

Jacob, sighed as he Paused the video of a Dog folk explaining the ideas of other worlds..he was still sitting on his new bed, searching all he could on the possible ideas as to what has brought him here.

He scrolled through another search result for the 50th time...he searched and he searched for something, anything that could be a clue to what he was going through, yet nothing came up that could exactly relate to his situation, surprisingly though he did come across some Articles on various web pages that had Dogfolk talking about the possibility of other worlds, and life on far off planets, similar to how he has heard of such claims by humans back in his world, how humanity had always imagined the day they'd make contact with Extraterrestrial life, but that's all it was..theories and ideas, a big what if...nothing that specifically related to the event he experienced in the Outback.

Resting his head back now he set the tablet aside..but it was all he could really do, he felt he had no control over his situation, he felt like he couldn't just sit here and hope for something, he had to take some sort of action, even if it didn't get him the answers he wanted..

" What am I going to do? " ran his hand over his face, pondering his scenario over and over in his head, that light, that strange beam...what was it?

" Well, at least I learned a bit more about this world..." The boy said sitting up rubbing the back of his neck next, he needed to take a break from this.

Getting up he now made his way into the Kitchen where he found himself a pitcher of lemonade and poured himself a glass and stood looking out over the Backyard from the Deck, He could see Pat in his backyard doing some Garden work, singing happily, Jacob couldn't help but smile a bit, remembering his first encounter with him, with how much he seemed to try and understand and accept him..as he notices a smaller yellow retriever come rushing out toward him excitedly tackling him to which they both shared a laugh.

Jacob could only assume that must have been his son, *Lucky*as Bluey and Bingo mentioned to him before.

Jacob glanced over now to the next house, and who he saw made him tense up, there in their yard as well, was...Wendy, who was busily doing...work outs? she was standing on a Mat and doing a series of squats while wearing a sweatband.

Jacob awkwardly retreated back into the house before she could notice him on the porch, he knew after his not so...pleasant encounter with her, he was not so sure about being seen by her again.

He sighed peeking his head back out for a moment before making his way out of the Kitchen, now according to the Heelers they went and "Cleared" things up with Wendy, who told him she was apparently quite sorry and embarrassed for her reaction, and that she's like to express her Personal apology to the boy, and that did make him feel better, but the whole ordeal was a Constant reminder of how much he sticks out in this world.

" Hey mates, Were Home! " Bandit's voice suddenly rang out through the house he and his pups Stepping through the front door of the Heeler home.

Chili was there to greet them as Bluey and Bingo were eager to tell them about their day, but they were both more eager now to go up and see Jacob's " New room " and quickly asked their mother where Jacob was.

" He's upstairs I believe, might be in the-" Chili didn't have time to finish as Bluey and Bingo quickly quickly rushed upstairs to go greet the human.

" Kitchen.." Chili sighed playfully rolling her eys " Those kids I tell ya "

Bandit shared a chuckle, " mate better strap himself in.."

Jacob was walking down the hall back toward his new sleeping quarters when the two young pups quickly caught up too him quickly giving him a Hug before he had much time to even react.

" Jacob, Jacob! can we see you're new room,! "

" What does it look like!"

Both the pups stood back looking up at the human excitedly.

" Woah, hey hey, first of all, welcome home " Jacob gave a amused chuckle. " he said as Bluey and Bingo eagerly began to ask about his room again.

" it's just a new space, nothing special, you're parents didn't want me to have to keep sleeping in on the Couch.." Jacob explained.

" But can we go see it now!" Bingo asked

" Yeah1 you have you're own room in our house now!" Bluey added.

Jacob looked down at their faces giving him what he'd call Puppy eyes...or, what ever that'd be considered here? " Okay, okay, of course, " Jacob said said gesturing for them both to fallow him.

The pups giddily fallowed him back down the hall, until they got too his room.

" Well, here you go, " Jacob said allowing the pups to quickly rush inside. once they had the pups looked around to see the new space that the human would be sleeping in.

" Wow! you're own room!" Bluey said rushing into the center of the room,

" It's all yours's! " Bingo said looking around.

" Hmm, but it only gots a bed " Bluey said tapping her chin.

" Yeah, it could, use some more stuff " Bingo added while nodding.

" Yeah, lots more stuff!" Bluey replied

Jacob stood there leaning against the door. and chuckled a bit " hey, look, it's...it's only a temporary space, it doesn't need a lot "

" But you can't have a room and have just a bed in it, you need to have other things, like toys, a carpet, "

" Pictures on the wall " Bingo added.

" Oh yes, lots of pictures on the wall!" Bluey agreed.

" And stickers " Bingo again chimed.

" Right, stickers, especially the really cool ones that glow in the dark!"

"Uuh, right Well I'm sure all that would be..cool to have, but I don't need that, I'm just gland to have a space, understand?" Jacob tried to explain but the pups seemed to be pondeting something now.

" Hmmm, I think we can help with making this room look really nice " Bluey said nodding her head in a almost determined manner.

" That, won't be necessary, really " Jacob said wanting to chuckle at the whole idea. but the pups seemed now quite set on...doing what ever they had planned.

" Don't worry Jacob, we'll make sure you have a really cool room to sleep in " Bluey said as she turned to Bingo. " Come on Bingo, lets go get some stuff ready "

Bingo let out a cheerful giggle as she quickly ran out of the room with her sister. leaving Jacob to wonder what they had in store now.

Bluey and Bingo ran into their room were they both look around at all the stuff.

" Hmm, we have to find some stuff that will look really nice in Jacob's room " Bluey said looking around.

" But what would he like in his room? what kind of stuff do, humans like? " Bingo said as Bluey was looking under her bed.

" Hmm, well I think pretty much anything dogs like, Bluey then pulled out some plushies from under her bed frame." I think we got a lot of toys we can let him use " she said picking them all up.

As Bluey and Bingo rushed in and out of Jacob's room arms loaded with various random things, giggling excitedly the human boy had had made his way downstairs where Bandit and Chili were still chatting now in the Lounge.

" Oh, hey mate how was the rest your day " Bandit said noticing him coming down the stairs.

" It was good, thanks " Jacob said nodding his head, then wondered if he should tell them about his, attempt in researching possible ways he ended up here, but came up empty handed so far..."

"I...was just doing some research on, more about this world,." Jacob admitted. " like learning how so many things are very similar to where I come from, " the boy explained about how he learned their are Dogfolk who study the idea of other worlds and life on them.

Chili and Bandit enhanced a look for a moment before Chili spoke up.

" Oh we see, well that is very interesting, quite fascinating to hear about you're world and ours being, similar. " Chili said with a nod.

Jacob nodded but then glanced down a bit with a slight heavy look.

Both the Heelers exchanged another glance. they both could easily tell the boy was feeling a bit troubled at mentioning his home..

" You really miss it don't ya mate " Bandit said as Jacob looked up.

" Huh? oh y-yeah, it's fine though " Jacob said rubbing his arms.

Bandit sighed now " Come here mate " Bandit gestured for the boy to come over, to which the boy then did.

" Look, I know we keep telling you we are going to help you figure this out, but we haven't gotten any ideas yet, we will assure you again and again, we are not going to give up on this, we will get to the bottom of this. "

Jacob nodded in response. " I know, I know you guys will, and I apricate everything you done for me. I guess the hardest thing is, trying to even understand any of this, If I knew where to go, what we could do, just something to help..." Jacob sighed.

Bandit and chili both nodded seeming to ponder it themselves.

" Well, " Bandit began rubbing his neck " I guess we should really consider trying to find out, who could be the best reliable source to get advice from. " the heeler spoke.

" Like who?" Jacob said now looking up.

" Well, I'm sure there has got to be some dog around who knows something about this. someone who can at least give some sort of input, we'd have to find out who we can ask, and well, explain this whole thing too " Bandit said.

" But were would we even start to look? we can't just ring up someone and expect them to instantly solve the issue. " Chili added.

" True, but, I will admit I have done some, discussing with some of my Collogues at work, about the possibility of, life from other worlds, most seemed open to the idea but gathered we've never had proof of any such things. " Bandit said sheepishly. as Jacob and Chili listened on.

" You been speaking with them? you didn't mention Jacob's situation though did you?" Chili then asked.

" No no, just asking what one of them would do if they experienced life from another world " he cleared his throat.

" And?..." Chilie and Jacob said in Unison.

" Well most of them jokingly said they'd quite archeology and become astronomers " Bandit chuckled " but, they said they'd probably go seek out someone who studies such things, so, maybe that is the idea we need to take after all. "

Everyone seemed to ponder the idea now for a moment.

" Well I guess we will have to keep that one in mind, Jacob, we will figure it out " Bandit nodded with a firm look. the boy gave a nod response.

" Thanks Mr and Mrs Heeler " he stated as they both gave him a reassuring smile.

" Hey, where's Bluey and Bingo anyway?" Chili now asked, as Jacob gave a sheepish look.

" Um, they are currently, giving my room a extra touch.." the boy said with a sheepish chuckle.

" Oh dear..." Chili said with a knowing look. " Well, I better get a start on dinner, " she said as she made her way upstairs.

Leaving Bandit and Jacob alone.

" Astronomers?" Jacob said now with a grin at Bandit who rolled his eyes..

...

As the evening went on, Bluey and Bingo continued to rush around the house, finding and grabbing various things they thought could improve Jacob's new room, stuff from their own bed room, and stuff from the playroom specifically.

By the the time it was dinner a nice warm meal was served and eaten, Bluey and Bingo went about discussing their day at their schools, but where most excited to reveal to Jacob what they had done with his room, and by the time dinner was over they were practically dragging him toward it.

" Your gonna love it! " Bluey said pulling his arm while Bing had his other.

" Yeah, it has everything you need! " Bingo chimed happily.

They soon entered Jacob's room again where both the heeler quickly went in before him.

" Get ready! here's you're room!" Bluey said as they both step aside to allow Jacob to enter in and see what the pups had done too it. Jacob looked around, in both, a surprised and amused look.

His room, was now done up with a lot of things that the pups had found around the house they thought could fit him.

Along the floor were various stuffed animals. and puzzle boxes, in case he ever gets bored as Bluey put it.

Along the walls were various stickers of stars, rocket ships, smiling sunny faces, and one that said in bright text colorful text " Moon Light Unicorn "

the Bed now had an assortment of random colorful pillows and several stuffed animals..

on the floor scattered about were various colorful blankets or towels as Jacob assumed, to mimic a Carpet... sitting in the windowsill was a random rubber duck...

Well, what do you think! " Bluey said proudly as she and Bingo both stood next to each other.

" Isn't it the besetest room you had?"

" Much better then the couch!" Bluey grinned.

Jacob looked down at the small pups then up at his room, his, now "improved" room with a Chaotic and clearly childish flare...

" Uuuuh..." Jacob stammered seemingly unsure what to say to the young pups, he glanced back at them as they both stood there waiting for his response wagging their tails.

" Don't, you like it?" Bingo now said looking slightly worried now.

Jacob looked back at them to see they both had more concerned looks, and have stopped wagging their tails...

Jacob looked back at his room then gave a slight smile..then he knelt down before them.

" Guys, I think, it's the best room I ever had " he said with a nod and a warm both the pups began to wag their tails again.

" For real life!?" Bluey said more happy the human seemed to actually like it.

" Yeah, for real " Jacob nodded with a smile as Both the young heelers cheered.

" Hooray!" they both said

" Thank you two. " Jacob nodded standing back up now.

" We know you'd love! " Bluey exclaimed happily.

Shortly after both the kids were summoned by their parents to get ready for Bed, they bid him a goodnight before leaving Jacob alone to get adjusted into his new space, soon he had slipped into his PJs before Bandit and Chili came to check on him before they too would be off for bed, by knocking on his door.

" Well, I can see the girls really enjoyed setting up you're room " Chili said with a giggle as she came into the room.

Jacob sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck " Yeah, they did."

" Sorry about the mess mate, I'll have em clean it up later " Bandit said as Jacob shook his head.

" It's no big Deal Mr Heeler, they, really worked hard and it's not bothering me really.." the boy said "but perhaps maybe less towels on the floor " he said with an amused look.

Both Bandit and chili gave a warm smile and chuckle" Well, if fine by you mate, anyway, have a goodnight nigh, and hope you enjoy you're new set up " Bandit nodded

" Sleep well Jacob. " Chili added as both of them left his room now.

" My room, my set up " Jacob thought to himself as he stood there looking around " I am certainly getting set up around here..." he then sighed a bit. before, only to serve as a reminder that he has no idea how long he could be here, he then shook his head and perked up deciding to climb into bed and gets a good rest for the first night in it.

turning out the light he he climbed into bed shortly began to slip under the covers, letting out a yawn, before he then felt his legs bump into something.

"huh?"

Curiously he sat up to notice a lump under the blankets next to him.

" What the? " he spoke to himself as he pulled back the blanket and saw a round object sitting there, grabbing it he picked it up and quickly realized it was plastic..

Suddenly the boy was taken aback when he saw two large eyes pop open from the object and then heard a chirping and sqwacking sound...

" Oh no..." Jacob could only say unamused as he realized what Bluey and Bingo left in his bed for him to find...

"Chattermax need poo-poo, poo-poo!"
