"Looks like you were right. He was playing us." Red Arrow said in disgust from a nearby rooftop where she and Green Arrow watched Roy makeout with an assassin, since he'd sent Silver Arrow away in case this became something that was not appropriate for her to see, since he had his suspicions on who this assassin was.
"More like he got tired of waiting for me to do what I should've done a while ago. He got tired of waiting, so someone else took advantage of him." Green Arrow said.
"You said it yourself, he's not ready and if he allows himself to be seduced by a pretty girl, how can he be ready?" Red Arrow asked, since she wasn't blind, the woman was attractive and if she weren't in a committed relationship with Helena, she might've been tempted to make the same move.
"Like you're not thinking about her that way too and yes, I'll keep that to myself from Helena." Green Arrow said with a chuckle.
"Thank you. But what do we do now?" Red Arrow asked.
"While Sara and Tatsu track down the location Roy gave us, we're going to follow him and his little friend back to wherever the buy is really going down." Green Arrow said.
"And how exactly are we going to do that?" Silver Arrow asked.
"The device I gave Roy to contact me with has another purpose. It has a tracker in it." Green Arrow said with a smirk.
"This whole thing was a setup from the start wasn't it?" Red Arrow asked her brother, who chuckled.
"I had to make sure that you two wouldn't blow it, since we knew someone was watching. It was Roy's idea and I have to admit it was pretty smart. Let the bad guys think he wanted to betray me when in reality, he's a triple agent. It's also his final test to see if he's ready to be brought into the fold. The rest of you are family, even John and Tatsu, since they're honorary family and Artemis, you and Yolanda are foster family. I trust all of you. Roy is close to earning my trust, but this is the last test of his loyalty." Green Arrow said as he looked at his wrist screen and saw the tracker was activated and heading away.
"Come on, let's go." Green Arrow said.
"What is this place?" Roy asked as Jade led him into a warehouse to see some kind of factory setup with boxes stacked up, definitely preparing for some kind of buy.
"This is the place where I will build my army." a new voice said in an Australian accent and Roy turned to see the criminal the city knew as Deathstroke walk out of the shadows.
"I brought him here like you instructed." Cheshire said.
"Yes you did. And as promised. Your payment." Slade said as he tossed a bag of money to the ground.
"This is only half of what you agreed to pay." Cheshire said angrily as she pulled out her sai.
"Only because I'm still in need of your services. I'm expecting two different kinds of company soon. One invited, one not. I need your skills until the conflict is over. Once the buy is complete, I'll give you the rest, plus a little extra for the inconvenience." Deathstroke said.
"Okay, I'm listening." Cheshire said.
"Good, because it's also punishment for not searching this brat for trackers." Deathstroke said as his men suddenly grabbed Roy and pulled his communicator.
"This device has a built-in tracker that Green Arrow and his pesky friends no doubt used to follow you here." Deathstroke roared as Roy struggled against his captors.
"Gotta admit, I didn't think she'd actually bring me here." Roy said.
"Yes, it appears we both gave this fool too much credit. Hopefully she'll redeem herself before this is over. But as for you, well, I suppose I was going to need a lab rat anyways. If you survive the process, you'll be welcomed as the first of my mirakuru super soldiers. Take him away." Deathstroke said as Cheshire looked at Roy in betrayal.
"You played me." Cheshire said.
"Like you weren't playing me too. Don't get upset because I did it better." Roy said as he struggled against his restraints.
"Don't get too cocky. That tip you gave Green Arrow about Bane, that was nothing but a trick. A distraction. He's still on Santa Prisca, taking his Mirakuru rip off, Venom. His strength is nothing compared to what flows through my veins. He's nothing but a roided up junkie who throws tantrums to get what he wants. Completely unnecessary for my goal." Deathstroke said, right as an arrow pierced the arm of one of the thugs, allowing Roy to slip away.
"Which is exactly why I didn't believe it for a second." Green Arrow said as he, Red Arrow, Silver Arrow, Spartan, Black Canary, White Canary and Katana jumped down from the rafters.
"I see you know me better than I thought." Deathstroke admitted.
"Where's Tommy Merlyn Slade?" Green Arrow asked.
"How would I know? We went our separate ways after you rescued Moira Queen, since with his assets frozen, he can no longer afford my services. Besides, I have my own plans that require more than just being his bitch." Deathstroke said.
"We'll see about that." Green Arrow said.
"What the hell is going on here?" Black Canary asked.
"You recreated the mirakuru using a sample of your blood and you intend to build an army with it." Green Arrow said.
"You know me well." Deathstroke admitted.
"Get a sample of the drug and then torch this place. We're gonna see if we can set him back." Green Arrow said.
"What about you?" Black Canary asked, even though she knew.
"Deathstroke is mine." Green Arrow said as he lunged towards his old friend as chaos broke out in fighting.
