She woke up on the couch, not remembering she passed out there. She barely remembered last night at all.

Adjusting her vision, she saw his blazer on her loveseat and heard food sizzling in the kitchen. Getting up, she saw him in the kitchen cooking and watching ESPN.

"Morning!"

She grinned at him.

"Sir, you are extra chipper this morning", she walked over to the table.

He finished breakfast and brought it over to the table.

"I got to see my girl finally. Why wouldn't I be?"

"The biggest divorce of the year is almost wrapping up and changes to WWE is shaking up the dynamic of the sports world as we know it..."

She went to change the channel, but he gently grabbed her hand.

"Leave it. Nick is going to do an interview, and he said he's making an announcement".

"Nick, great to have you on today".

"Thanks".

"Tell us, what's the update on WWE".

"Well, Vince has sold his shares so he's out officially. We also received Stephanie's resignation, so we will have meetings about how leadership will go from here".

Paul crossed his arms in shock. Kamaria looked between her tv screen and Paul. She could tell he legit didn't know she was leaving. Kamaria didn't know what to think at this point.

"Does the divorce have anything to do with this shake up?"

"I can't answer that. It's none of my business. You'll need to talk to them about personal affairs"

Across town~

She watched the same program. It was time. This divorce taught her to be honest with herself. She did every move because she wanted to please her father.

She was tired.

She also knew reporters would be at this house camped out soon. She saw her phone going off from her parents. She ignored them all. Only three men had access to her.

"It's ok sis. We love you guys and call me when you're ready".

Shane got out early and is living a very peaceful life. He was her motivation to walk away. The severance and buyout would leave her comfortable. This new company was generous with her departure, and she wanted peace and quiet.

The back door camera went off.

Walking in, Bobby felt weird walking into his bosses' house. They never met up here. His house or a hotel. Walking into the kitchen with security was so surreal to him. The girls were in the den doing homework and other things. They knew what was going on with their parents, but Stephanie hadn't told them about leaving the company yet.

She still wanted them to adjust to mom and dad not being married. Meeting new people in their lives.

He saw her come around the corner. Puffy eyes and deprived of sleep, but beautiful still in his eyes.

"Hey".

"Hey...are you sure you want me here? Right now?"

"Yes. I may lose my shit".

"Don't take my head off, but did you call him".

"I will. I just need time to get through this crazy of resigning".

"Ok ok. I'm here. Whatever you need I'm here".

They sat in the music room in silence. It was ironic because in normal cases, each child has tried learning this piano, and it was an epic failure. The noise that came from this room gave her a headache on many occasions. Now? This was her safe space. They stared out the window at the lake in the back area.

"Are we here? You and I?"

"Yeah".

"Time was wasted and I'm so sorry", Stephanie said.

He needed to hear that from her. Having this moment with her was everything he ever wished for.

"Listen, let's take things slowly. You need time with the girls, and they have to get used to me".

"I agree, but right now, just stay here. David will get you to the hotel when you're ready to leave".

"Sure. I like the quiet".

They sat, and eventually she fell asleep in his arms on the couch.
