The traitorous metalist observed the humans with their bodyguard watching the stores. He noticed that the female human quickly moved from one store to another, to the surprise of the creatures. She seemed to stand on one place for a while, observing everything they had, before he went to the other one.
He wondered how he could get them. They were in a crowd and they were guards around with too many civilians who just abandoned the injustice put on them when the humans claimed victory and sent them to exile.
His kind were destined to rule the Cothica and humans to be their slave at best. He forced himself not to clench his hands. He only observed for now.
Chapter 51: An Outing Part 2
Peyton and Lucas observed Judy who quickly checked what was sold on the street. She observed each article and a few items they could get. She knew they couldn't overspend. It was on the king's wallet and it might come from some taxes and things like that. It was best not to abuse it. She focused on what they needed and what she could do. She had nothing to make clothes or fix them. They needed new clothes, but everything looking too big. The shirts were too large, since the creatures were much larger. Even the children were too large.
Steel approached her and panted a bit, "We can get everything you need. There aren't any new clothes that they made for humans here. Maybe we can make them with the proper material."
"I need to sew everything and I just need to find the right tools for that," the woman continued her search, "Once we have the tools, we will get the cloths and then something to make for dinner," she decided.
"We will follow you and trust your instinct sweety," her husband replied as he crossed his arms and let out a warm smile.
Peyton looked around. A few of the creatures observed them. He smiled and waved at them. None of them waved back and looked elsewhere, "Guess they are a bit shy."
"Maybe," Steel replied. He grumbled quietly as he watched the two male humans. He replied, "I think it's more that it's weird for them that a human like you wave at them. We lived on our own for a long time. Only the soldiers went outside of our territory," he then raised his shoulders, "I don't read mind. It's just a guess anyway."
Judy found something and pointed it at them.
The group approached and watched the cloth and the tissues the merchant sold. Most of the cloths were red, but some were blue and others yellow. They were two more which were white.
"Those reds are a bit different from one another," she commented.
The merchant was a tall and large metalist. His blue eyes shined a bit, "You sure have an eye for it. The dye is a bit different from each of them," he chuckled a bit nervously. The difference on colors was the dye was different from the different pieces of cloth. He made a few mistakes, but it gave a bit unique shade of red and decided to try and to sell them. He was glad that got the attention of someone. He put his hands together and waited for her questions or decisions.
Judy touched the tissues proposed by the merchant and those that caught her interest.
"Back on Earth, she was working and making clothes when she had time just like her mother," Lucas thought back. He didn't mind what his wife did in her free time, but it sure took a little bit of their time together. That was until they managed to combine a bit of their activities together. He crossed his arms and looked at them. He wasn't sure of the quality of the cloths, but knew his wife was the expert in that domain.
The woman picked one of each color after she inspected all of them, "They are all of good quality and it will be good to have some extra. We will need the kit to make everything," she said with a large smile.
Steel took his bag and paid the merchant who thank them for their purchase, "That will be easy to obtain. They surely have some for the size of your hands. I know our kind has big hands, but not all of us have big hands," he showed his own and waved them a little bit. He moved his fingers a little. He then held the three bags with the cloths.
They went to the next store.
The metalist watched the group buying a few things and wondered what was the purpose of those items. None of them made that much sense if they lived in the castle. Still, he didn't find a chance to try and kill them for now. They were in a crowd area and the humans were near the metalist. Even if Steel had many bags in his arms, he could drop them on the ground and fight him if he attacked. The guards were also close. He had to wait for now.
He was a bit impatient as he watched them. He couldn't ignore that feeling of those accursed humans just wandering around like they never ruined the life of his kind and took everything the metalist deserved. The metalist must rule over the humans and not just wander with them and had a good time. He clenched his hands quietly and grumbled.
It lasted a second, before he claimed back his emotions under control. He had to stalk them and wait for his chance.
Steel smile disappeared when he felt something in the air. He had little idea what just happened, but he knew that they weren't safe anymore. There was someone who wanted harm to the humans.
He felt that bloodlust. It was strong and it couldn't be ignored. He didn't react to it yet. He just wandered around with the humans, but he tried to see if anyone was suspicious. It was a bit easy with Judy wandering around and he had to keep the others around. He had chances to observe around for anyone suspicious.
He did notice a metalist who looked a little bit like he got his emotions too into control. Still, it didn't mean much. He just hoped the others also felt it and observed the situation carefully.
The good thing, if they captured the suspect, was that it might help them. They could get intel about the rebels. It was all an if for now. He made sure to be on guard. If that metalist even tried to hurt the humans, it was his funeral. Funeral after the interrogation. He was the fun guy, but he was chosen as Peyton's and his parent's bodyguard for a reason.
"Steel?" Peyton asked as he noticed the face of the creature looked angry and intimidating.
It quickly turned into a smile, "What is it? I kinda got lost in my head," he tapped his head and a bit of echoed followed. It was because his head was made of metal and not because it was empty.
Peyton chuckled as he imagined it was the case. He looked around, "Seriously. Is there something going on? My friends in Al Mipedim often makes face like that when they think that something might happen soon," he didn't see anything standing out, "Are we in danger?"
The metalist replied honestly, "I felt bloodlust for a second. I think one of them is around. He just needs to come a little too close and we will get him. Then, we will hunt the others down after we make him talk," he glanced at the boy's parents, "Stay close and keep an eye open."
Peyton nodded, "Okay dude!" he then followed his parents and made sure they stayed close to one another.
The four continued to buy everything they needed. Steel grumbled a bit when he started to hold a lot of bags with everything they needed for dinner and everything to make clothes, "I guess this is the price for buying all of this on my king's back," he chuckled in amusement.
The humans didn't ask how he could do that. They didn't want to know the answer. It was best to be ignorant and let the blame fall on Steel only when Titanium asked in the matter.
"My wife is sure taking her time to get the veggies," Lucas commented.
Steel glanced around and noticed they were isolated. They were at the corner of the street market. There was only a few metalists around and no guards. He made sure to keep his instinct sharp and his emotions in check. He shouldn't rush or react too quickly. He needed to let their enemies approached them. He knew they had security around them, ready to act at any seconds. He couldn't see them, but he knew they were present.
He felt that bloodlust again and it came closer. He felt it raised and dropped, as if the assassin tried to keep it under control. Steel knew it wasn't a professional assassin that came to them. He knew it was an opportunist.
The metalist saw his chance to get at least one of the humans. They were alone and isolated. There was the body guard and the civilian metalist. He had his chance to kill at least one of them. He knew his mission was to simply observe and to collect intel as much as possible. He just couldn't help it. Those damn humans just walk around like it was normal. That woman was the most insulting of them all. She was just innocently doing everything a human shouldn't do without restrain. He clenched his hands. He decided he would kill her first.
He would then try to escape. If he couldn't, he wouldn't tell them anything. A corpse couldn't talk after all.
He slowly approached them. He made sure to stay calm and looked like he came to get some groceries. He kept his bloodlust in check as the distance quickly grew smaller between them. He prepared his attack. One swift attack and that human was dead.
He only needed a few steps to reach them. He just needed to use his range attack in a guaranteed hit. He stopped when their bodyguard turned around and let out a small grin.
The creature realised he was caught. He couldn't do anything when something dropped on his back and restrained him quickly. He saw other metalists that came with their battlegears, ready to be used on him.
"We got you now!" one of soldiers of the king said.
The humans turned around and saw what happened. They were a bit confused as to why the metalist was down by others, but Peyton and Lucas quickly understood it. Judy refocused on her groceries to the surprise of the merchant.
One of the guards saw something grabbed the jaw and forced them mouth of the enemy to remain open. One of them searched for something in the mouth.
Steel decided it was time to move on, "We should keep going while they apprehend him and made sure he doesn't end himself," he didn't comment that, according to reports, five ended their life with a suicide capsule in their mouth.
The two nodded. Lucas went to get his wife, who managed to get everything. The trio walked away. Steel paid up, before he joined them.
The four left. Peyton took a glance and saw one of the metalist that stopped the bad one took something out of the mouth and put it in a bag, brought by another one. They then lifted the creature and moved him away.
The captured creature struggled and tried to escape or fight back to no avail. He couldn't escape that many against them. He gulped and was afraid. He knew it wouldn't end up well for himself.
