Disclaimer: Walton View season one is finished everyone, and I'm back and better than ever with Paw Patrol X season five! I knew after The Mighty Movie came out that I had to adapt it into a future season of Paw Patrol X. I already have plans for season six as well, but for now, let's focus on this season. As we all know, the pups will get super powers in this season. But also, since Skye was the Tritagonist of season four, this season will instead give a big focus to Liberty. And Wave of course. Let's say hello to some old and new faces!
Also, I don't own Paw Patrol.
Paw Patrol X
Powered Up Pooches arc Episode one: Adventure City Meteor Part One
In a small laboratory near Adventure City, an African American woman in a lab coat with pink hair and stylish glasses was watching a recent interview about Liberty joining the Paw Patrol. She had reached the part where she was geeking out, and the woman was drinking a soda with one of her arms shaking while clenched into a fist. "I'm official! Hey! Check it out! I'm officially official! Official member of the Paw Patrol right here!"
She stood up after finishing her drink and slammed it to the ground, her face starting to tense up as Ryder started to speak. "Thank you for this honor. The Paw Patrol will always look out for Adventure City. In fact, after talking it over with Chase..."
Chase took his chance to finish the announcement after walking up to the podium. "We decided that we're going to stay here for a while." In that moment, the woman picked up her chair and threw it at the TV. "And in the meantime, we'll be-"
SMASH
The woman broke the TV with her chair before venting about how much attention Liberty's gotten in such a short amount of time. "I spent twenty years perfecting my craft, and no one sees me as who I am." The woman walked away from her desk and over to her monitor as she continued to vent. "And yet, that yippy little street rat joins the most famous rescue team in the world just for helping to stop one measly storm!" The woman turned on her monitor to start her plan. "I could've stopped it as soon as it happened if the science lab didn't ban me."
When the monitor turned on, the woman revealed an upcoming event she was planning to take advantage of. "Well, now I'll show them how big of a mistake that was!" Victoria started looking over every feature of the solar device she would be using to pull off her plan. "And when they do, they'll finally acknowledge how Victoria Vance, is the most brilliant scientist in the world!" Victoria laughed maniacally with her laughs continuing to be heard from the outside of her lab.
The day after Liberty joined the team, Wave's paw was shown grabbing a pan, which then flipped a chocolate chip pancake after she lifted it up quickly. She was then revealed to be cooking her usual breakfast for the team, who were all lined up as she looked back at them. "Sorry it's taking longer than usual." She looked back at her cooking supplies before she explained why it was taking so long. "I needed a little extra time to make the vegetarian options for Liberty."
"Hey. If it's for your cooking, any wait is worth it." Marshall assured his sister, who put the last pancake on the plate before going over to hug Marshall.
Marshall rubbed Wave's head before she took out a bandana and went off to Liberty's room. "I wanna surprise Liberty with the breakfast. It's gonna be a big day for her, and I want it to start off with a bang as big as Adventure City! You guys can serve yourselves."
The pups all got up to do that with Chase bringing up Wave's team greeting gesture. "Wave sure does love welcoming people onto the team with food."
"And it's a way better initiation method than a fart to the face." Snow shot at Chase, making him snort at his own habit of 'initiation'.
Wave was then shown guiding an excited Liberty to the kitchen, and Liberty was excited when she smelt the food. "I smell food! Are we having a morning party!? Oh, wait! Should I have gotten a gift!? I wasn't ready for this!"
"Don't worry Libby, it's not a party." Wave assured Liberty, smiling as the two of them got to the kitchen. "You can take off your blindfold now." Liberty did as instructed, and she was amazed to find the big breakfast buffet Wave had cooked for everyone. Everyone else was serving themself with the usual stuff. But Liberty saw that Wave even cooked some special stuff for her. Muffin-tin omelets with feta and peppers, bell pepper and cheese egg cups, and a spinach, banana, and peanut butter smoothie! Well, okay; that last one was for everyone, but still.
Liberty was in awe when she saw this, and Wave even took the liberty, no pun intended, of taking her over to pick out what she wanted. She had no idea what to say, and Wave could see how in amazement she was. "You can expect to see me doing this a lot for everyone. Including you."
The counter was shown briefly before a tear of joy came down from Liberty's eye. She looked back to when she lived at that orphanage, and they barely had any food ready for the kids. And then, she thought back to when the citizens of Adventure City made those bagged lunches for her. She was grateful for them, of course. But she never imagined she'd ever have this much food cooked for her for just one meal. The smile on her face said it all as she thanked Wave for the meal. "Thank you, Wave. It looks... amazing."
"You know how I love cooking." Wave reminded Liberty, and the two smiled at each other as she reminded her of why. "This is a big reason why." Liberty happily started taking what she wanted to eat, leaving Wave joyful that she was able to make Liberty's morning. "Oh, and just so you're not caught off guard, Ryder called Katie to give you a check up yesterday. He wants to make sure we know as much about you as possible so we're prepared for anything."
Liberty knew Ryder mentioned Katie sometime during their first couple days in the city. "Is Katie that veterinarian chick who got into reporting once?"
"Yep. You'll love her. She's super friendly." Wave assured Liberty, who smiled again as she got to finishing up her plate setup.
Wave and the others were all waiting in the living room for the results of Liberty's check up. When they came back from her room, Liberty seemed pretty nervous. When the others saw her coming over, they quickly noticed this feature. Wave was the first to address Liberty, since she walked up to her before anyone else. "How did it go, Liberty?"
"Okay. I think." Liberty started, and she started rubbing one of her ears after grabbing it. "I don't know. Apparently, I have this thing called Au... Ai... Auta..."
Liberty couldn't bring herself to remember the word. Ryder chimed in after seeing how stumped she was. "Autism?"
"Yeah, that thing!" Liberty exclaimed, expressing her worry while tugging one of her ears. "I guess it explains a lot about me. I just, don't know how to feel about it."
"There's nothing wrong with you Liberty." Katie assured Liberty as she knelt down to her. "Lots of people, dogs, cats, and so on have Autism. It can cause developmental issues, and we have to be careful about certain things, but it's possible to get through it with the right support system."
Rocky stepped down from the couch with Zuma smiling as Rocky went over to Liberty to reveal something. "I know how you're feeling Liberty. I have Autism too."
"You do?" Liberty asked, and Rocky nodded his head yes to confirm it. "Was that mentioned in any Paw Patrol media?"
"Yeah. It's mentioned in some of the magazines I'm in." Rocky explained, and then he gestured Liberty to let her know he was gonna put his paw on her shoulder. She let him do so for comfort, and Rocky started to talk about his own journey after discovering his disability. "It was a massive shock to learn I had a disability that I was oblivious to the existence of before. But it helped me understand a lot of things of things about me too. My hyperfixating, my sensitivity to loud noises, my triggers to food and drink stains, and my feelings about unexpected changes."
Liberty started to feel a little better about her Autism, even though it still concerned her. Rocky was definitely helping in a great way. "Dude, everything except for the stain thing applies to me too! My trigger is being touched without warning."
"Then we know to at least speak up before we touch you." Wave chimed in, and she put a paw on Liberty's other shoulder after she looked at her. "We may be a team about helping others Liberty. But we work to help each other just as much. We'll be there to help you with your Autism. Whatever you need." Liberty smiled gratefully before Wave offered her a hug. She happily accepted as she thought about how things were going to be now. And Wave chimed in with a little something else. "That includes helping you keep your routines in check."
Liberty gasped before pulling Wave away, remembering what she was supposed to be doing that day. "My park patrol!" Liberty ran off while saying goodbye to the others. "Bye guys; you're the best; thanks for the check up Katie!"
Wave and the others laughed a bit with Wave smiling as she got ready to join her, walking up to Snow as she did. "I promised I'd help her today." She kissed Snow before heading out to join Liberty, hugging Marshall as well as she left. "Love you guys!" And with that, Wave set off to join Liberty in her patrol.
Wave and Liberty were now patrolling the Adventure City park together as Wave got a look at a flyer on one of the trees. It was a flyer for an upcoming meteor shower that was set to pass over Adventure City. It looked like it could be a lot of fun, and she figured Liberty might like it too. Her excited smile said as much. As for Liberty, she was talking to two ducks who were arguing with her about eating bread. "No Sally, no Simon, you can't have this bread. Bread is bad for your health." She handed them some cracked corn instead. "Here. Have this."
The ducks accepted that, and as they ate, Liberty walked off to see Wave walking over to her. "Hey Wave! How's your part of the patrol going?"
"It's going pretty well. Just an easy going day in Adventure City." Wave answered happily, being glad to have a day to just have fun with her new best friend.
Liberty was glad to hear her answer too, especially after all that's happened lately. "After the Cloudcatcher disaster, I think the city could use it."
"No arguments there." Wave said, and then she showed Liberty the flyer she found. "Speaking of the city, I found out they're advertising for a meteor shower that's set to fly over Adventure City." Liberty got a look at the flyer and seemed to take a liking to it. "You think you'd be up for watching it with me and our friends?"
"Oh yeah. They finally put these back up after Buttdinger took them down." Liberty explained, and then she thought for a moment, figuring that a meteor shower could be a fun time. "I guess that could be fun. I've never seen a meteor shower before."
Wave put the poster away as she expressed that common trait between herself and Liberty. "Neither have I. Marshall told me it's this big showcase in the sky, where we can see a group of meteors flying around in space!"
"Wooooow!" Liberty exclaimed, loving the idea of seeing meteors like that. "That sounds so cool! We have to see that!"
Wave was more than happy to see Liberty taking an interest. It didn't take a lot to get her excited. "Then we've got three days to get ready!" Wave held her paw up for a fist bump, and Liberty was about to do it, only for Wave to start it by bumping the top of her paw. She then lowered her paw and let Liberty bump the top. The two then did the real fist bump, smiling at their newfound fist bump formation. Wave then snickered at Liberty's nickname for Humdinger. "Buttdinger."
Three days later.
Chase was sitting on the edge of an open dumpster, which Rocky was currently rummaging through for scraps he could use to make last minute adjustments to his telescope. Chase was starting to get a little tired of waiting, so he kicked the dumpster gently to alert Rocky. When Rocky came up, Chase asked his question. "Are you almost done Rocky? We've been here for ten minutes already."
"I think I've almost found the right scrap, Chase." Rocky assured Chase, knowing that the scrap he picked had to be perfect. "I've already narrowed out the ones that won't work."
Chase looked at the ground, which showed a bunch of scraps that weren't going to do it. "Just clean those up when you're done, ya read me?"
"I always do!" Rocky said, and then he went back to dumpster diving. It was at that moment when Chase decided to play a little joke on Rocky. He smirked when looking down and patting his butt, which was still sitting firmly on the dumpster edge. All he had to do in order to execute his plan, was wait for Rocky to arise. And once he did, Chase began his prank. "I found it! Let's-" Chase lifted his butt, and on cue, he hit Rocky with...
BLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRP
...a loud and bassy ten second fart, making Chase's thicc butt vibrate as he hit Rocky with a yellow cloud of rotten eggs. This ended up reeking even worse than the dumpster, with Rocky wafting the fart away while coughing a bit. He was used to being farted on, but his deadpan expression showed how he didn't have to like it. "Real mature Chase."
"I know. I'm a riot." Chase laughed before helping Rocky out of the dumpster, jumping down with him after doing so. "Come on. I'll help you put the other scraps back."
"Thanks." Rocky responded, and he and Chase started putting the scraps back in as they continued their conversation. "Good thing I'm okay with baths now."
"I still remember the early days, when you panicked over 'drowning' in the bathtub." Chase replied, and the two Canines laughed at that memory while continuing to put the scraps away. Their trauma would never leave, but at least some of their silly moments caused by it were moments they could laugh at now.
Back at the lookout, Snow was stressing hard about what to draw, trying to think of something before it was too late. After groaning in immense frustration, she revealed what exactly this was about. "How could I have forgotten Zuma's birthday!? Has my life really been THAT busy lately!?" Snow picked up one of her colored pencils, pounding on her desk as she tried to think of what to draw. "It's gonna come off as a last minute thing no matter what I do. Will Zuma even like it? I drew him something last year; he might want his own island or something!"
Someone knocked on the door from outside, and Snow called to them with her stress showing all too clearly. "It's unlocked!"
Everest came into Snow's room and took concern to how stressed she was. "Are you okay, Snow? I heard you while I was passing by your room."
Snow groaned in annoyance due to not knowing what to draw before answering. "I would be, if my stupid fart brain would figure out what to stupid draw for Zuma!" Snow ended up throwing her lamp in frustration, which didn't break, but it did leave an impact on the wall. This sudden anger from Snow surprised Everest quite a bit. "I should be a better friend than this!"
Everest closed Snow's bedroom door before walking up to her to help her out. "I'm sure Zuma will understand."
"It's his birthday, Everest! And I almost forgot it!" Snow shouted, surprising Everest before Snow turned back to her desk and clenched her fists. She showed the sad side of her stress when she did. "I'm the worst!"
Snow slammed her face on her desk with Everest picking up on what was going on. "Oh boy. It's time." Everest patted Snow's back after putting her lamp back, prompting her to sit up and look at her sister. "Snow, I think I can explain your sudden... fear, of Zuma being upset with you over a present. How exactly are you feeling?"
Snow saw that Everest was genuinely concerned, but was hesitant to talk about it at first. It scared her to discuss the complex things. But she saw how much Everest cared and tried to explain the basic stuff the best that she could. "I guess I'm... angry? But I'm also sad. And I'm also scared."
After waiting to make sure she was done, Everest explained what this was. "That's what I figured. Listen Snow. This thing that you're feeling, it's been in all of us at least once. I remember Marshall told me HE felt it when he first joined the team." Snow showed deeper concern as Everest explained what this was. "I think you've developed something called anxiety."
"Oh yeah, I think I've felt it before." Snow said, remembering several times she felt similar feelings to this. When she slapped Wave back when she was Flare and during her life with hers and Everest's birth parents. Those two moments in particular came to mind. Snow instantly expressed her negative feelings about this 'anxiety' stuff. "I don't like it."
"No one does. But our emotions get more... complex as we get older. Stuff like anger and sadness become harder to manage. And anxiety is one of the reasons why." Everest explained, knowing that Snow needed to know everything she could about this. "It just needs proper management. Think about when I helped you control yourself around peaches. That helped you stop panicking whenever you saw one."
Snow nodded in reassurance, having fond memories of Everest helping her learn emotional control. "Yeah. I remember that." Snow then got back to her drawing, trying to think about what Zuma would want. "God, if only that helped with this drawing. I already gave Zuma a drawing of him surfing last year; I can't just draw him doing that on the sun!"
"Okay, okay, let's take a deep breath." Everest advised, and then she helped Snow get back on track with her drawing. "Think about something else Zuma likes. Singing, swimming, dancing, heck; he even plays video games sometimes. And he loves watching movies with Rocky."
Snow was still anxious about how Zuma would react, but she still gave a sigh of relief thanks to Everest's help. She also realized that she threw her lamp. Remembering that burst of anger reminded Snow of her father. That scared her too much to even mention it. "Thanks, Everest. And, I'm sorry you saw that."
"No problem." Everest assured Snow, who got back to her drawing. Snow just hoped she could finish it in time. Would Zuma be happy about it being late? He usually doesn't care. But what if this is an exception? Yeah, it was harder for Snow to stay calm now.
Wave and the others were now on the rooftop, waiting for Snow and Everest to come on up, as well as for Liberty to return from her evening patrol. Rocky was setting up the telescope with Zuma, expressing his excitement for the meteor shower. "Our first ever meteor shower Zoomy. I just wish I could get one of the meteors and look at it for parts. Imagine what that could do for my inventions!"
Zuma laughed gleefully at his boyfriend's creative mind before snuggling with him near their telescope. "Oh Wolfy. Your inventions suwpass the likes of a meteow's power evewy day." When a robot blanket made out of orange leather covered Rocky and Zuma, Zuma instantly started cuddling with Rocky. "Cuddles!" And yes, the blanket was Rocky's present to Zuma.
Snow and Everest came up with Snow still being anxious as Everest comforted her. "He's gonna love it, Snow."
"Love what?" Rocky asked, and Snow and Everest came over with him and Zuma noticing Snow's mood. "What's wrong, Snow?"
Snow handed Zuma the drawing, which was of him playing his guitar on the beach. Snow was quick to explain why she waited until now to give it to him. "I'm sorry it came last minute. I ended up forgetting your birthday because of everything that's happened lately, and I didn't know what to draw, and apparently I have this thing-"
"Hey hey, it's all good Snow dude." Zuma assured Snow, showing that he wasn't upset in the slightest. "It's a good dwawing. And yeah, I think other people would fowget about someone's biwthday after all the changes we've been thwough lately. We're just lucky we didn't get hit with a tidal wave duwing that stowm."
Snow was relieved to see that Zuma wasn't upset, hugging him as she expressed this. "Darn right we're lucky."
Snow hugged Rocky, and then hugged Everest, before heading over to where Wave and Marshall were with her. Wave and Marshall started snuggling with their girlfriends as Wave assured Snow that everything would be okay tonight. "You don't have to stress tonight Snowflake. And if you can't help it, I'll give you whatever you need to help you overcome it!"
"Thanks Wave. I can always count on you." Snow replied, and then she and Wave shared a tender kiss before snuggling again to watch the meteor shower. Snow then started to wonder where Liberty was. She knew she was excited for the meteor shower too. "Where's Liberty?"
"She wanted to do her evening patrol before the meteor shower." Wave told Snow, confident that Liberty would be back in time. "From what I heard, she's pretty good at time management with her routine. She'll come back in time."
"And when she gets back, she'll be ready to shower us in excitement." Marshall quipped, laughing a bit before the others called him out.
"Marshall!"
The group all laughed at the pun with Ryder getting his own telescope set up as Charm sat next to Rocky with a space novel. "You'll never believe this Rocky! This book says people are working on making it possible to live on other planets! I'm definitely crashing Mars."
"Guess I'm building a rocket then." Rocky said jokingly, gesturing Charm to let him take a look at the book. "Let us know if you wanna see Zuma."
"Okay." Zuma said, and he started to facetime Melody, Celeste, and Gabe as Rocky and Charm continued enjoying the book together. They were always glad to have the common hobby of reading.
Claw and Rubble were sitting next to each other as Rubble brought up something about meteors he heard about. "Is it true that meteors are just big rocks that move around in space?"
Claw laughed a bit at the fact that he received that question. "You're asking the wrong dog Rubble. But that might be true."
"It is." Ryder told them, finishing up his super advanced telescope, which would get him the best view possible. "And tonight, we're gonna see them up close." Ryder started looking into the telescope as Wave, Marshall, Snow, and Everest were shown relaxing together. Wave then gave a call to Liberty on her Pup-Tag to let her know everything was set up.
Liberty was enjoying her evening patrol as always, especially now that she had the light on her scooter to help her, when she got Wave's call and answered her Pup-Tag. She was still riding around when she let Wave know she'd be home soon. "I'll be home as fast as I can Wave. Just gotta look around one more area to make sure everyone in the city's okay."
"Thanks for doing that Libby." Wave said, even though she knew Liberty was doing it because she loved protecting the city. "I'll have a spot saved for you when you get back. Hope you don't mind me sitting with Snow too."
Liberty couldn't help smirking as she joked about that. "Okay, you did NOT just insinuate that I would be jealous." Wave and Liberty laughed at the joke with Liberty ending the call. "I'll meet you back at the HQ."
"See ya then Libby!" Wave responded before letting Liberty hang up, allowing the Dachshund to look around the area.
Liberty then saw something nearby that caught her attention, and it was revealed to be coming from Victoria's laboratory. Liberty saw a teenage Dachshund like figure trying to sneak in through one of the vents. Since the Dachshund was covered by the shadows, Liberty couldn't see what they looked like. She made her way over there, coming to the conclusion that the Dachshund must be hungry. If only she knew what she was getting into. "Excuse me!?" The Dachshund looked down at Liberty, who made her an offer. "I can take you back to HQ if you're hungry!"
The Dachshund showed concern for Liberty, interestingly enough, hopping down after taking the last screw out to guarantee their entrance. When they finished hopping down from the boxes they climbed up, the Dachshund was revealed to be none other than the Paw Patrol's pirate Dachshund friend, Arrby! Liberty was amazed when she saw Arrby's pirate outfit. He tried to explain the situation, hoping she would understand. "Oh no, I'm not here for food. I'm actually-"
"Oh my god; you're a pirate!" Liberty exclaimed, concerning Arrby as Liberty started asking a bunch of excited questions about Arrby. "What's it like sailing the seven seas!? Did you make that pirate outfit yourself!? What's your favorite sea animal!?"
"Whoa, slow down there." Arrby requested concernedly, looking around before attempting to tell Liberty what was going on. "I'll answer as many questions as you want later. But right now, I'm on a mission."
Liberty looked up at the vent Arrby opened up. When she remembered where she was, she showed concern. "I wouldn't go through with it alone dude. This is Victoria Vance's laboratory. She's a mad scientist who got fired from the city's science observatory because-"
"I know all the details." Arrby assured Liberty, and then he got to telling her the full story. Little did he know that one of Victoria's drones was creeping up on him. He didn't see it coming, but Liberty did. And she showed fear when she noticed. "You know about the meteor shower? I came out here to stop her from trying to-"
"Behind you!" Liberty warned, and Arrby looked behind himself to see the robot as well. Before he could react, Liberty pushed Arrby out of the way, only to get zapped by the robot's capture ray. As soon as Arrby got back up, the robot zapped him with another capture ray before he could make a move. Liberty then got to telling off the robot after turning around. "Let us go you misguided bucket of bolts! This isn't my first time getting out of a jam!"
The robot ignored Liberty and took her and Arrby to see Victoria. Arrby whispered something to Liberty, since they were close. "I'll tell you the full story after she finishes searching us. No way I can explain my plans to her face."
"Okay, but I still wanna help with whatever you're trying to stop." Liberty requested, and Arrby saw her Pup-Tag and recognized the style in which it was made.
After discovering she was a Paw Patrol member, saying yes became easy. "Deal." And with that, Liberty and Arrby teamed up to stop Victoria's plan. Whatever it was.
Back at the HQ, Wave and the others were starting to get worried about Liberty. She still hadn't come back from her evening patrol, and the meteor shower was set to start in a few minutes. Wave tried calling her Pup-Tag, but she wasn't responding. It didn't respond when the others tried either. This brought out even more concern to everyone, and Skye was the first to express her worry. "You don't think something happened to her, do you?"
"We can't rule out the possibility." Ryder admitted, knowing that while Liberty was tough, she could still be overpowered. "Liberty may know this city like the back of her paw, but danger can come around at every corner without her noticing, and at any point too."
Melody was talking to Zuma on the other end, and she showed concern despite not meeting Liberty yet. "Is someone hurtsing Liberty, big brother?"
"We don't know yet Melody. That's why we're gonna look for her." Zuma assured Melody, who hoped Liberty was okay.
Wave stepped up and started walking over to the elevator with a proposal in mind. "Ryder, I know none of us wanna miss the meteor shower, but I think we can all say that we wanna find Liberty, and fast. I say we get into our vehicles and search around Adventure City for her."
"Great minds think alike, Wave." Ryder said with a smile, giving specific search locations to everyone on the team after he did in a commanding leader's voice. "Wave, Snow, Marshall, you three take the apartment complex closest to the ocean! Chase, Claw, you and I will take the main road! Skye, you search above all over the city! Zuma, you search on the water in case she's against a window facing the ocean! Rocky, Rubble, Everest you handle the rest of the city!"
The team all nodded in response with Charm walking over to the edge of the Lookout with a danger loving smile on his face as he continued reading his book. "Well if there's going to be a search party going on, I might as well join in on it." Everyone saw Charm jump off of the HQ before hearing his hyperactive shout. Charm then started laughing over his free falling moment, calling Rocky after taking his knife out. "I'll search the parts of town I can reach by paw!"
Charm put some kind of attachable rope onto his knife and threw it off as Rocky called out what he just did. "Jesus Charm; you almost gave us a heart attack!"
Once the knife came back after going around a beam, Charm caught it before it went past him and descended. "Three years and I've still got it!" Charm landed on the wall of the building his knife went around and descended after retracting his attachable line. Once he landed, he got ready to search. "I'll let you guys know if I find her!"
Charm hung up and ran off, leaving Ryder to get ready to start the search. "Let's use Charm's fast moving as a reminder to find Liberty quick! Everyone, get to your vehicles! Paw Patrol, is on a roll!" Everyone hopped onto the elevator after that with Zuma wrapping up his face time with Melody. When it started descending, they all got ready to look for Liberty. That was when Ryder got a call from Sid. This surprised him, and he decided to answer. "Hi Sid."
"Ryder! Thank the seven seas you answered!" Sid said while sounding relieved. "Have you guys by any chance seen Arrby?"
"No, why?" Ryder asked, unaware of what Arrby could be doing in Adventure City. While they kept in touch, Sid and Arrby haven't seen the Paw Patrol in person since Coral became the PupLantis Queen.
Liberty and Arrby were being taken to their cell by Victoria's robot, who walked with Victoria as she taunted the Dachshunds. "You two really thought you could sneak in here and stop my master plan, didn't you." The robot tossed Liberty and Arrby into the cell after Victoria opened it. After they landed, Victoria closed the door and continued to taunt them. "It looks like your brains are as small as your wiener shaped bodies!"
Victoria laughed when walking off, prompting Liberty to run up to the door and call her out. "Wiener shaped!? Did I hear that right!? If you're gonna insult me, then at least have the guts to say it through an open door!" Arrby attempted to calm Liberty down by putting a paw on her shoulder, but the suddenness caused Liberty to throw Arrby onto the ground. When she saw what she did, she gasped and helped him up while apologizing. "I'm so sorry! I hate sudden contact."
"I'll remember that." Arrby assured Liberty, pointing over to the window inside their cell. "Also, I still owe you that story."
Liberty and Arrby went over to the window, and Liberty got a good look at the ocean from it. She was surprised by how pretty it looked from the cell. "This is a pretty good view. I hope we see a dolphin. Or a shark. Oh, or a whale!"
"That last one might be a little tricky since they're so big." Arrby told Liberty, and then he got to explaining his mission. "You said you know Victoria Vance?"
"Well, kind of. We only met in person once when she tried to control a meteor from the observatory." Liberty explained, shuddering as she remembered that day. "I'm glad Rocky's not crazy enough to try that."
"So you DO know Rocky! Are you on the Paw Patrol?" Liberty nodded her head yes, much to Arrby's glee. " Great! Getting your Pup-Tag back will be helpful." Arrby asked. After that confirmation, Arrby gave Liberty the details of his mission. "That meteor controlling thing is actually why I'm here." As he did, a flashback showed Sid and Arrby docking when they heard Victoria stating her plan from her lab while preparing one of her drones. "My owner Sid and I came here to surprise the pups with a visit, and we heard Victoria talk about what she was doing from our boat."
The flashback ended when Arrby finished explaining his plan. "I asked around and found out that the meteor shower she was talking about was happening tonight."
"It sure is. I was planning to watch it tonight with Wave and the others." Liberty explained, and then she laughed a bit at the timing of that. "That's one crazy coincidence. Maybe if I start craving a veggie burger, Victoria will make something to make them rain from the sky."
Liberty and Arrby hopped down from the window spot, but stayed by the wall as Arrby finished filling Liberty in. "Apparently, Victoria wants to try again at controlling a meteor, and she's going to use the meteor shower to make it happen." Liberty and Arrby looked over at the machine as Liberty showed fear for Adventure City. "The fact that it didn't hit the observatory the first time is a miracle. I don't think anything like that will happen this time with the same kind of luck."
Liberty knew without a doubt that she had to help Arrby stop Victoria before that meteor could hit Adventure City. "That psychotic, arrogant, nature hating scientist with awful fashion tastes thinks she can take over MY city?" Liberty's paws started trembling as she showed anger towards what Victoria was doing. The fact that Victoria was casually drinking a soda while waiting for her plan to be put in motion, which was in a couple minutes, made her even more angry. "If she thinks I made an exception with space for protecting nature, then she's sorely mistaken!"
"I'm right there with you beautiful furred and excitable dog with lots to say." Arrby said in his usual tic of describing someone before knowing their name. "We only have a few minutes before the meteor shower comes along."
"Then we'd better work fast." Liberty replied, holding her paw out to declare herself a friend to Arrby. "Consider me your partner for this mission." Arrby smiled and accepted the first bump, being more than accepting to Liberty's offer of partnership.
To be continued.
Rock music started playing as Liberty started talking about what was going to happen with specific moments from the next chapter being shown. "That stupid dumb jerkface with the bad haircut and stupid clothes thinks she can risk damage to my city!? Well she's got another thing coming! Ten years in prison? What kind of crap is that!? I would've given her at least twenty for the stunt she pulled! She practically stole from space to use it as a weapon! Huh? Why's the meteor acting weird?"
Wave finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines surrounded with a white border with Wave on the right, and Marshall on the left. "Next time, Adventure City Meteor Part Two!" Wave was shown rushing in without hesitation to grab a Boxer who was too stunned to move and jump out of the meteor's path. "This explains why Liberty suddenly went missing!"
