Mia, Snyder, is sitting on the school, bus next to her best friend, Sarah. Sarah: No Mary today? Mia: nah, she's off sick! Just me! Mia: Sorry, Sam she woke up sick this morning! she probably got it from Jayden, he's had the flu and has been a bit croupy, Sarah: how old is he now, anyway? Mia: he's three, Sarah: wow! i can still, remember. You sending a photo, of him, when he was born, Mia: i was in the hospital, too after breaking my wrist, mummy and i got to meet him early. Sarah: i remember, hearing that you were high on thoes, pain pills, they gave you, must've been good shit! Mia laughs, Mia: my uncle, Boomer said i was talking funny, saying something about watermelons, Sarah: so what did you wanna talk to me about? Mia: it's kinda personal, i'd rather, wait until we're in the bathroom. When they're going over math, Mia, is quite smart, and gets straight As, Sarah not so much. After math is recesses, then history, both Mia and Mary's favourite subject. Mia finds it funny, that her little sister, constantly brags to Sam, about what she learns in history when he's in the same class. As them, after, lunch, they're in class. When they hear something. 'BANG' everyone is startled, but pays no mind, when. 'BANG' 'BANG' BANG' Mrs streeple: okay class, nobody panic, head for the cubbies, just like we practiced. It's probably a prank, but let's be safe, Mia likes her teacher, she's one of the few staff members, that isn't againsed homosexuality, when all of a sudden. The pa system comes on. PRINCIPAL, MYERS: Active shooter!, i repeat Active, shooter!, this is not a drill!, i repeat there is an active shooter and this is not a drill!. Sends the school into lockdown.
Mrs: streeple, hears more shots, and the sounds of people screaming, as Mia, Sarah, and Sam, hide under three desks set up together next to a mirror, all on their bellies, scared but not panicing, Mrs streeple: everybody take cover!, as she goes to baracade the door, but it is shot through shortly afterwoods, as the 22 year old teacher, drops lifeless infront of Mia, a gunshot wound through her eye and the back of her head, as the gunman, shoots indiscreminatly, at students, Mia turns to see, her classmate and friend, begging the shooter, being shot multipal times in the head, and is killed instantly. His blood and even, some of his brains spill out, she feels, Sarah grip her hand, as the shooter turns his attention to them. And fires at the wall a few times to taunt them, as a bullet, ricoches off the wall, and hits Mia in her left eye, but doesn't go further, Mia screams, as she instantly looses vision in her left eye, and then 'BANG' Mia is shot in the lower half of her spine, as she passes out from the pain. Meanwhile, Robin, is watching TV, when her phone, starts chiming it's a school notification, from the panic button, imforming all parents and guardians to come to the school. As Robin, gets Mary, and drives, worried that there was probably a fire or something, meanwhile. The shooter is keeping the surving studants in Mia's class hostage. Recording the carnage, including the dead teacher, and recording, an unconcious, Mia, who is slowly bleeding out in Sarah's arms, Sam is shot through his leg just below the knee, and used his belt to tie around his leg. The gunman, goes to shoot Mia in the head and finish her off, when suddenly, CRASH! Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, crash through the sealing, Blossom and Buttercup, have no issue disarming and apperhending the offender. Bubbles looks around.
The scene is like something outta a horror movie, five children are dead. The teacher is dead, more are sevearly injured, Bubbles is a mother herself, and feels her heart sink, when. Sarah speaks up, Sarah: hey, She needs help! Bubbles, turns around to see Mia bleeding, from her spine and face, Bubbles: oh my god Mia! Blossom, rushes over and checks Mia's pulse. Blossom: she's still breathing, and has a faint pulse, Bubbles: you get the kids out, Bubbles: okay, kids, i need you to put your hands on each other's shoulders and keep your eyes closed, and i'll guied you calmely through the school, Buttercup, takes the shooter and hands him to authorities. Bubbles ushers the kids out, unfortunatly, some of them open their eyes, and see the carnage, Bubbles: kids don't look we're almost there! sucsussfully guides them out, as Robin approaches, Bubbles: oh no!, Robin: Bubbles, what happened? Bubbles ushers her from the entrence, Bubbles: there was an active shooter, Robin: oh my god! Robin sees more kids filing out, but doesn't see Mia, until the ten year old is brought out on a stretcher, by paramedics. Robin: OH MY GOD MIA, Robin runs over, Bubbles, holds her, Bubbles: you need to let them do their job. Blossom, eventually emerges, Bubbles: i'm gonna go with Robin, and Mia in the ambulance she has Mary in the car, Blossom: i can drive Mary home, Robin. Robin hands her the keys, as Robin, and Bubbles climb into Mia's ambulance, Robin grips her little girl's hand, and almost pukes, seeing Mia's eye, and they drive to the hospital, Robin, is told to wait, as Mia is rushed into the operating room, Doctor: we'll do all we can for Mia, Mrs snyder.
Robin is in tears, Blossom, texts, Bubbles, Blossom: how's Mia doing? Bubbles: they just rushed her into surgery. Robin is a wreck, Blossom, i just told Mary what happened, she just cried herself to sleep, Bubbles: i'll be holding Jayden, a little tighter tonight. :( we'll keep you posted. After a few hours, a doctor approches, Doctor: Mrs Snyder, Robin: yes where is she is she alive?! Doctor: come with me, they follow, him into an office, the doctor clears his throat, Doctor: Mrs, snyder, your daughter, has recived a bullet through her left eye, and her lower spine. Now miraculousley, she, should be alright, however. Due to the damage, she'll be permantley blind, in her left eye. And she'll also be paralysed from the waist down, and confined to a wheelchair, she'll need assistance, with batheing and dressing, and will have no controll over her bladder or bowels. So due to the paralyses she will be unable to know if she's either urinated or even deficated in her pants. Robin: so you're saying my baby is blind and paralysed?! Doctor: she's only blind in her left eye, her right eye is fine. Robin: oh god! *starts crying* Bubbles: at least she's alive, gets a text from Blossom, Blossom: Mary wants to know if Sam is okay, Bubbles: sorry doctor, i know this is random, but Mia's classmate, Sam, scott was brought in here as well, how is he? Doctor: he's fine, he was only shot through the leg just below the knee, Robin: why ask that? Bubbles: Blossom, texted me, Mary was worried about him, Bubbles texts back, Bubbles: He'll be okay, he was only shot in the leg just below the knee, Blossom: how's Mia, Bubbles: she'll live, but due to her injuries. She's blind in her left eye, and paralysed from below the waist.
Blossom: oh my god! Bubbles: can we see Mia now? Doctor: of course, Robin: how am i gonna pay for a wheelchair? Doctor: your insurance company will cover it, and will help make your house handicapped accessable, you'll only need to pay for a handicapped parking permit. Bubbles: thank you Doctor, the Doctor takes them to Mia's room, to see the ten year old with a white patch, taped around her left eye, fresh donor blood, being pumped into her veins, in one bag, and morphine, being administered, through another. Robin takes her hand, Robin: don't worry baby, mummy, will always take care of you, i love you more than anything in the world. Robin kisses Mia, Bubbles takes her other hand, Robin: how're the other kids? she knows Bubbles and her sisters were in Mia's class, Bubbles: five of Mia's classmates were killed, as was the teacher, Robin gasps, Bubbles: it was like something out of a horror movie, I know i'll be holding Jayden alot closer, and Blossom, told Mary about Mia, earlier, she was devistated, Robin: oh god, If it weren't for you guys, i could've been called here to identifiy Mia's remains! Bubbles: the important thing is that isn't the case, Mia is a strong kid, she'll get through this since Bubbles and her sisters coming to the rescue, are what saved Mia's life. A knock on the door is heard, Robin: come in, Boomer: hope we're not inturpting, Boomer is holding Jayden, and Blossom, comes in with Mary, and sees Mia Blossom: oh my god!. Blossom places Mary next to Robin, who holds her younger daughter. Before kissing her, Jayden wakes up, Jayden, also sick, and too young to realise how serious the situation is sees Bubbles, Jayden: hi Mummy, Bubbles: hey Baby, Boomer hands the three year old to Bubbles.
And he notices Mia, Jayden: what's that? points to the eye patch, Bubbles: that is a bandage, Mia got hurt really badly, Jayden: is she okay? Bubbles: yes thankfully. Mary wakes up, Mary: mummy? Robin: shh, it's okay, kisses the seven year old, who sees Mia, Mary: Mia!? Blossom: it's okay, Mary, as i said, your sister will be alright. Mary's phone chimes, Mary sees it's from Sam, Sam: hey how's Mia? Mary: she's okay thankfully, and you? Sam: i'm alright, shot through the leg, Sarah has been spamming me and the others like crazy, wondering if your sister is okay. Robin: who are you texting with? Mary: Sam, he was asking if Mia is okay, Bubbles: him and Sarah were with her, trying to stop her bleeding. Mary: apparently, Sarah has been spamming him asking about what Mia's progress is. Jayden climbs by Mia's side, Bubbles: Jayden be gentle with Mia, as i said she got hurt really. Badly, I'm gonna get, him something to eat, want me to take Mary, and leave you with Mia? Robin: sure, although Blossom and Boomer are there Boomer turns on the TV, Stanly whitfeild: this is stanly whitfeild reporting live outside townsville, elementry school, where a shocking school shooting, has taken place. Atleast twelve studendts and five teachers have been killed one student a ten year old girl, was critically injured taking a shot to the spine and her left eye, Boomer turns it off, Mary: aunt Bubbles, Sam sent me his room number, can i go check on him? Bubbles: i guess, you can see if he wants something too, as Mary runs to Sam's room, Bubbles: Mary slow down, we don't want you to end up here aswell as your sister!, Mary: sorry, Mary knocks on the door, Sam's mother: yes? Jenny: how's your sister, Mary coughs, Mary: they say she'll never walk again, and is Blind in her left eye, Bubbles walks in carrying Jayden. Bubbles: I was taking her and Jayden to get some food, did Sam want anything? Jenny tries to wake him, as Mary giggles before climbing onto her boyfriend, and kissing him. Sam: ha what? oh hi Mary! Mary: you hungry? Sam: Starving, Bubbles: did you want something from Mcdonalds sweetie? Sam: yes please Ma'mm, Jenny: i meant to ask, how Mary's sister is, i asked her but she said, she's half blind and will never walk again. Bubbles: It's true, that's all i'd say infront of the kids. Jenny: and Robin? Bubbles: she's hanging in there, did you want something? Jenny: maybe a salad wrap, i could come with, and leave Mary and Sam to keep each other company, Bubbles: sounds like a good idea, Mary is already snuggled up to Sam, since she's got a minor flu anyway she's under the covers with him, as Bubbles, Jenny and Jayden go to Mcdonalds. Meanwhile, Robin: do they have any leads on who did this? Blossom: Buttercup apperhended him, Robin: good, Boomer: aparently cops are saying that prosocuters, could be seeking the death penalty, but it's too early into the case to be sure, Blossom: i don't usually, beileve in capital punishment, but killing twelve innicont children, and posting it on social media is one of the few reasons it should be used. Robin: i'm just greatful Mia's okay, suddenly, Mia groans, Robin is worried something is wrong. As Mia's eye opens, Mia: Mu-mummy!? Robin: shh, i'm right here baby! Mia: w, where am i? Blossosm: you're in the hospital, do you remember anything that happened? Mia: mrs: streeple, being shot, as was another boy, then i saw him coming to me, and nothing.
Mia: Are Sarah and Sam okay? Robin: yeah, sweetie, they're okay, Mia: what's wrong with my eye, and why can't i feel my legs, are they missing? Robin: no sweetheart they're still there, but the doctor, said. That you were shot, through the eye and spine, Blossom: meaning, that you won't be able to see through your left eye, anymore, and you're also paralysed from the waist down, so you'll never walk again, Mia: what? breaks down, Robin holds her, Boomer calls Bubbles, Bubbles: hey babe, Boomer: Mia just woke up, and was told everything, Bubbles: i'll get her something to eat too, she must be starving, Jayden isn't happy he's too sick to go play, Boomer: that does suck. Okay i'll see you soon, bye, Bubbles: bye, Mia remembers seeing her teacher, dying, and the fellow student, begging for mercy and his brains being blown out. Mia starts shivering, Robin: shh, it's okay, we'll get through this, i promise. Boomer decides to lighten the mood, Boomer: on the bright side, when you get that bandage removed you could get an eyepatch, and a hat, and become a pirate, long-john Mia! this causes Mia to forget slightly, as she laughs, a little. Boomer: there's that smile! and just think of how much fun, you could have rolling around in a wheelchair. Robin: he's right, Mia: when can i come home? Robin: i'm not sure, when the doctor gives the all clear i guess, Mia: hey where's Mary? Robin: she went with your aunty Bubbles to get food, Boomer: she said she'll bring you back something too, Mia: oh good, i'm starving. Mary opens the door with one arm, and with Sam's shoulder over the other. Mary: the doctor said he could join us, aunt Bubbles took his mum, and left us, but it got too boring!.
Sam: hi Mrs, Snyder Robin: hi Sam, how're you feeling? Sam: sore, but they gave me stuff. For the pain, Blossom, helps him sit down with, his injured leg elevated. Sam: how're you feeling Mia? Mia: i'm okay, Sam, Mary hugs her sister, Sam: Sarah, hasn't stopped texting me about you, we seriously thought you were a goner. Mia: i almost was, how many made it out? Sam: don't know yet. Blossom: okay let's change the subject, wait, shouldn't they have given you crutches, or a chair, i know Mary, supported you Sam, but you shouldn't have been, trying to move around on that leg. They gave me a chair until i can get crutches, but Mary insested on helping me. Blossom: which is your room? Sam: two doors down, on the left hand side, Blossom: be right back, Blossom comes back a few seconds later with Sam's wheelchair. Boomer: yeah, you shouldn't be walking on that leg. Sam tries to climb into it, Blossom: you don't have to use it now!, Sam: i kinda have to pee, Blossom: okay, then helps him into the chair, as Boomer takes him to the rest room, to help with washing his hands. Blossom gets a call, Bubbles: Jayden just threw up, Blossom: he okay? Bubbles: yeah we're almost there, also Mary is with Sam, Blossom: i know, she came in here with him, and said the Doctor gave him the all clear, Bubbles: i thought they'd get board. How's Mia feeling? Blossom: she was upset, about the paralysis, but Boomer helped cheer her up, Bubbles: of course he did, what'd he do dress like a clown? Blossom: no, he said she should get an i patch and a pirate hat, then change her name to long-john Mia. Bubbles giggles over the phone, Bubbles: that sounds like Boomer.
Okay we just parked we'll see you guys, in the room. Blossom: see you then, as Boomer and Sam come back, and Mary sits on him being careful of his leg, as she kisses his cheek, Sam, puts his arms around her, Mary: mummy, can you take our picture please? holds her phone to Robin, Robin: okay, say chees, Mary kisses Sam's cheek as Robin, snaps the picture. And hands it back, Mary: thanks, mummy sends it to Sam's phone. As Bubbles and Jenny walk in, Jayden climbes up and hugs Mia, Mia: oof! i'm happy to see you too Jayden! Mia kisses his head, as they eat dinner, and after a while visiting hours end, so everyone but Mia and Sam leave and Sam goes back to his room. Not before being kissed by Mary, Mary: by Sammy, Sam: bye marebare, Mary And Robin hug and kiss Mia, Robin: okay sweetheart i love you, Mia: i love you too, Mummy, they leave, Robin: excuse me Doctor, how long will Mia need to be here? Doctor: i'd say about a week, she'll only need that patch, for a few days, then we can get her one that's more perminate. Robin: thank you Doctor, Robin takes Mary home, as Blossom, drove her car there for her, and went back with Boomer and Bubbles, and Mia falls asleep, hoping that Sarah can visit soon.
