Sarah was inside and she held the phone. She knew she had to call the organisation and see if it was possible to track the Telebracers. If it was possible, then they might have a chance to find Peyton. The girl grumbled when she quickly realised, she had no idea how to call them. For as long as she could remember, they were the one who communicated with them. Not only that, they also changed the way to contact them with everything going on.

The metalist that showed up made the organisation reacted by making a few quick changes and this was one of them.

She picked her scanner and knew she had to make a detour to contact them. She had to port in Perim and talked with them. It was exactly what she did. She sent her code to figure out how to call them.

Chapter 69: To Track The Telebracers

Sarah walked in the port court. She knew where to go to find the Codemasters. It was quite easy to find them. She knew where to find him after the m'arrillian invasion last year. She walked through the corridor. She knew that they expected her now. Unless some of them were busy during their match. She hoped Crellan was there and not the jerk. She reached their room. The door was closed and she waited for a bit.

There was one of them behind the door. The message left by the left side said: Please wait Sarah.

The girl grumbled and crossed her arms. She wondered which Codemaster she will deal with. If they made her wait like that, she had a feeling that it might be Hotekk. She knew the Codemaster was a jerk and seemed to like to get into people's nerves. She smiled a bit when she remembered Tom beating him in a match. That was how they had their few adventures in the past and met the ancestors of Chaor and Maxxor and the other creatures.

She heard something behind the door and saw the message.

Good luck Sarah.

It was definitely Hotekk. This was going to be fun in some ways.

The door opened and entered in the room.

Hotekk watched her. He seemed to be a bit in a sour mood. Probably meant that he lost or almost lost a match. His hands were on the desk and tapped it a bit with his index, "What do you want?" he was annoyed.

Her mood also turned fouled a bit, "I need to ask you something and it's important. I tried to get things done without wasting your 'precious' time in losing or almost losing your match, but I cannot do this on my own."

"Oh! A human thinks she is better than an advance IA who is made to not always win in any ways possible?" Since the humans knew what they really were, he had no reason to hold back what he wanted to say. He was also pissed when she got him where it hurt. His ego.

"You have no arms and legs in the real world," she simple replied.

"Well not here!" he yelled at her. He frowned for a few seconds before he sighed and tried to calm down, "Can win any match."

"Saw you were losing a bit more since you lost against Tom."

"Enough about this!" he stood up and slammed his hands on the desk. He glared at her while his eyes shined. He sighed and calmed down. He sat down and put his hands under his chin. He looked at her, "What do you want? You surely didn't come here to insult me and act like the bitch you are."

"Call me that again and I'm sure the danians will like to pay you a visit," she furiously warned him with a very calm and cold tone. Sarah knew that if Ekuud learned that, he would be furious and threatened him. If it was Wamma that heard that, he could put the Codemaster into pieces. Wamma was always happy and lazy, but pushed the wrong buttons and his fury would be unforgettable.

"We fully restored our defense system and update it many times since those metalists shows up," he scratched the desk, "Anything else before we can go to business. Because I have a few more insults I will be happy to share with you. Even more if Imthor wasn't listening to us."

"And I advice you not to call anyone a bitch Hotekk. I'm sure our maker will not be happy about it. Be happy I'm the one who heard you," Imthor warned him.

"Fine," Hotekk sighed for a few seconds. He glared at her, "Anyway. Why are you here?"

"Why didn't Imthor came here? He would have been a better choice than you."

"Why are you here?" he grunted. He hated that girl. He corrected himself. Hated was a strong word. He just really disliked her. She had such an attitude that it got into his nerves. He was still glad he never had a match against her. That would be a shouting match before, during and after the match.

Sarah decided to go straight to the subject and stopped antagonising the Codemaster, "I am here because there is something me, my brother and Ekuud wondered. I couldn't contact them, so I had to go through you."

"And what do you want to contact them about? They are busy with everything going on and with three people mysteriously disappeared, Tom went to Perim and many people that knows him are asking where he was and many more shit. There is a lot going on. We cannot do anything to prevent that! They can transport straight to Earth and they don't need to come here to port around! We made sure the security was at maximum and repaired our last line of defense. Nothing so far!" He took a deep breath, "Not all our fault. They did something to the Telebracers and upgrade them to transport them straight to Earth. They appeared to have high technology, compared to humans. Still, we should have the capacity to just mess with the Telebracers, but we can't."

"Can you do something with the Telebracers?" she asked.

He looked at her in disbelief.

The girl explained, "It has a part of the scanner in it. That's why I came here to talk with you. Better with Imthor or Crellan, but I don't care. Is it possible to do anything with the little bit of scanner that they used to teleport to Earth? I mean, like something that could be tracked."

Hotekk frowned. He thought about it. Despite how annoying she was when she heavily implied, he was her last choice to talk with, she did have a point. None of the codemasters and the humans in the organisation even considered that a small piece of the scanner could be enough to locate them. From his own knowledge, he couldn't conceive the possibility that they could track everything. At the same time, there was a chance. It was slim. It was almost zero. The more he thought about it, he focused on one thing. It wasn't zero pour cent. He glanced at the left corner of the ceiling, "Imthor. Do you think we can even try something like that? Chances are almost zero, but it isn't zero. We might have the luck of those four," he glanced at Sarah, "That cursed luck to find Peyton," he smirked a bit when he noticed how annoyed she was, "Also. I rather talk with the boys you know," he chuckled when she frowned at him.

Imthor activated the com and sighed, "Stop it you two. You look younger than you actually are. Anyway, we will try something. It won't be long to communicate with the others and organise it. It depends which part of the scanner they took. If it's about locations to teleport on Earth or anywhere in Perim, we might have a chance. I won't bother to explain the science or the logic behind it. There isn't that much of that on Perim anyway. In other word, please wait in the room with Hotekk," he ended the communication.

"Bastard," the two replied at the same time at the very thought to be stuck together for a bit. None of them wanted to stay together longer than necessary. It wasn't necessary anymore.

Sarah frowned as she tapped her fingers on her knees, "Do you believe that I was right? I know you think it's possible or you wouldn't waste time with that."

Hotekk sighed and nodded. It would be worse if they said nothing anyway. It took a lot of energy just to glared at each other's after all. He crossed his arms, "There is a chance. It's not zero, but it's close to it. We have no idea which part of the scanner they used to teleport around. Again, we cannot track scanners unless we are in alert yellow. We are not at that yet. They are not coming here and the alert is still not activated. And with the creatures around, I don't think they will ever try to come through us," he sighed. He glanced at her. He refused to admit that this worried him and the other Codemasters. If they didn't come here to invade the Earth, that meant that they surely had another gate, or could do something else. They managed to teleport to Earth with a Telebracers anyway.

"I rather have a chance than no chance," Sarah didn't reply to the second part and the alert. She already felt the weight on the codemasters shoulders. She remembered what happened last time when the m'arrillians invaded, "Do you have any news about Tom? Kaz is searching for him on Perim and he didn't progress that much."

"He doesn't have his scanner, so there is no chance to track him. Even so, we have no idea what would happen if the scanner from our world is used in Perim. It's not the same as your codes walking around and using a code scanner. The function is extremely limited. Just how you use it on Earth, but you cannot send a code to play the game," the codemaster explained. He tapped on the desk. He hoped Imthor would return soon. He had a match later and he wanted to win. He wanted to crush the next player.

"Yeah. I really hoped that you could follow him somehow. We also can't call him without his scanner," she sighed.

Hotekk would roll his eyes if he could. His eyes weren't made to come the same way as humans and many creatures. He still refrained himself from being harsh. He knew the danger and the weight that Tom's decision put on him, "We can't. Still, the elementalists wouldn't hurt him. I…" he said nothing else. It was just awkward to act out of character like that again. He knew he went outside what his program ranges, but he didn't care about that little detail.

"I…what?" she pressed on.

"Nothing important. Just something personal," he answered. He crossed his arms and looked around, "Hurry up Imthor. We can't wait all day," he tapped on the desk for a few seconds as he got a bit impatient.

"Hurry up," she agreed.

Silence was in the room. It grew a bit more awkward as they waited for the creature to give them the news. They wondered what the answer could be. If it was a yes, they would make a lot of progress. Theb-Saar surely would be happy to know about the success. If it was no, then nothing changes.

It felt like an hour passed.

Suddenly they heard the voice of Imthor, "We tested it out and tried to detect any strange use of a scanner. It was long and difficult. Still, we have some results."

Hotekk grinned under his mask. They had result, "What is it?"

"We found a few strange usages of something that never went to Chaotic. We got special authorisation to use it. It will take a few days, but we might be able to triangulate everything and maybe find out where the metalists are. Maybe," he warned them.

Sarah had a hopeful smile on her face. That was some good news. She will wait a few days and talked with Theb-Saar about it.

AC: This is the end of this chapter.

Next: A Chance.

Sarah told Theb-Saar about the good news, while Imthor decided to act.
