Sokka
I sprint to my sister, Aang and Toph right behind me. When I reach her, I wrap her in the tightest hug I can, before pulling back to look at her and make sure she's okay.
"I'm sorry. I'm so, so Sorry Katara. I swear we looked for you nonstop for days. They-They told us you died, or we would have kept looking."
"Shh." She laughs. "Sokka I'm okay, I promise. It took me a few days after I made it back to the Oasis to recover from the Desert Sickness, and a few weeks to get here on foot. But I'm okay."
"Are you S-" I start, but Aang gets tired of Waiting and pushes me aside to hug my sister. It aggravates me the way he holds her like his life depends on it, but I try to let it go. Right now I'm of course going to be more protective than normal.
"Katara! I can't believe it! I'm so glad you're okay!" He says.
"Should have known Sugar Queen was too sweet to die in the desert and leave us all along." Toph says offhandedly, but I can see she's smiling for the first time in weeks, like all of us.
"Nice to see you too, Toph. All of you." She says and gently pulls away from Aang.
"I saw her earlier, which is why I started looking for the rest of you. I thought she was just on an errand for the group. But I Didn't want to say anything in case I was wrong. Thankfully, I wasn't."
"Thank you." I say and pull her into a hug. "Thank you for bringing my sister back to me." I pull back and see her blushing. I let go and look away, awkwardly scratching the back of my neck.
"It's my pleasure." She tells me.
"How did you get here?" I ask Katara. For some reason, she blushes up to her roots.
"It's a long story. One I don't want to share yet."
"That's ok. Can we go ahead and board and get to Ba Sing Se? We can all swap stories there." Aang says.
"Sure, let's go. Katara, you can just come with us. Toph's passport is enough to get us all through."
"Avatar Aang!" We hear someone yell. It's the pregnant woman and her husband that steered us away from the Serpent's Pass. "Someone took our belongings. Our Passports, our Tickets, Everything! You have to help us!" She begs. Aang straightens.
"I'll talk to the Lady for you."
