"I can't believe it," Freya grumbled as they left Transfiguration for lunch, her hair a wild mess around her face while they walked to class. "My day started off with a Howler-"

"Which you deserved," Will noted even as his eyes skimmed the pages of the book he was reading as they walked.

"Then I swear I got the fattest baby mandrake in the pile-"

"I don't know," Harry said thinking of his own plant, "Mine could have taken yours."

"Then I squash the stupid beetle with my arm, and I can't even do the magic spell we need for class because my wand is broken!" Freya whimpered, holding up her wand wrapped in spell-o- tape.

"You should write home for another one," both Harry and Will said together seriously, thinking of the havoc she'd caused with her wand during their prior classes.

"And now my two best friends are giving me stupid advice!" Freya moaned as she put the back of her hand against her forehead in a dramatic pose before putting it down and frowning at the ground seriously. "But, really, there's no point. My mum will probably just send another howler saying it's my own fault and blah blah blah. If I wanted to hear a long annoying lecture, I'd just converse with William about his view on all things fun."

"I hate you," Will said off handily, flipping the page of his book.

"Hate you too." Freya sighed, but she grinned in her hands regardless.

They went to lunch and even when Harry and Will tried to coax her into cheering up by showing her it was her favorite lunch today (baked potato topped with cheese), Freya continued to be in a somber mood.

"What've we got this afternoon?" Harry asked Will, hastily bringing up a subject.

"Lockhart. We have Lockhart's class next."

They finished lunch and then headed out for a break in the courtyard. Will sat down on one end and Harry sat next to him along with Freya while Will poured over their Transfiguration textbook he and Freya talked happily about Quidditch.

It took Harry several minutes to become aware that he was being watched, but once the feeling took over him and he looked around he spotted not far from them, standing with their hands tightly held against a muggle-looking camera was the girl he'd seen sorted into Gryffindor just last night before Snape had whisked Freya and him away. She was a small and skinny girl with mousy brown hair and the moment she met his gaze she turned bright red.

"H-Hiya, Harry! I-I'm Colina. Colina Creevey?" the girl took a tentative step forward and Freya's brows shot up, interested as she did so as on the other side of him Will put down his book to stare too. "I-I'm in Gryffindor too! Uh, do you think- I mean, would it be alright- I-If maybe, I take a picture?"

"A picture?" Harry repeated blankly.

"T-to prove I met you!" she replied, her voice shaking slightly less as excitement swept through her tone. "I know all about you! Everyone's told me how you defeated You-Know-Who-" (Her eyes raked over his scar) "-And they told me how you did all that amazing stuff last year! And you're the youngest in over a century to be assigned on the Quidditch team-" (At this the girl jumped up in a little skip that bewildered Will and Harry and amused Freya) "-And it's just so brilliant! So I was hoping you could take a picture and-" the girl flushed slightly as she gazed at Harry imploringly, "And maybe you can even sign it?"

"Signed photos? You're giving out signed photos, Potter?"

Loud and scathing, it couldn't be anything but Malfoy's voice, and Harry gritted his teeth as he turned to meet Malfoy's mocking gaze along with the others as Crabbe and Goyle, as thuggish looking as ever, loomed behind Malfoy.

"Everyone, line up!" Malfoy roared to the gathering crowd, his eyes glittering with amusement, "Potter's giving out signed photos!"

"Yes, everyone, line up!" Everyone blinked as Freya joined in on Malfoy's call, clapping her hands for everyone's attention, just before she gestured to Malfoy. "Watch and see the biggest prat in the school at his finest!"

"Shut up, Weasley," Malfoy growled.

"Shut up first, Malfoy." Freya glared.

"Yeah!" Now little Colina had joined the Fray as she frowned at Malfoy, "You're just jealous!"

Malfoy looked at her and scoffed, "Jealous? Yes, because Potter with the dirty tangled mop that he calls hair is so jealous worthy. I'm grief-stricken that I don't have a foul scar across my forehead."

"You should be, it would draw attention from that ferret-faced mug of yours." Freya quipped, earning laughter from everyone besides.

Malfoy's features flickered for just a second before he gave a nasty grin, shaking his head. "Oh. I see. Someone feels the need to protect her famous boyfriend, doesn't she?"

"Shove off, Malfoy," Will said angrily, snapping close his book as Harry's fist clenched and Freya turned slightly pink.

"Or wait, maybe you're angry that I'm cutting into the photo signing time?" Malfoy continued like Will hadn't spoken, grinning mockingly. "I could understand that Weasley, needing a signed photo as badly as you do for as worthless as a photo of Potter's might be, it's probably worth more than that place you call a house-"

Freya whipped out her spellotape wand but before she could do anything Will quickly reached out and grabbed her arm, lowering it.

"Look out," he muttered, letting go of a startled Freya's arm just before Lockhart came into view.

"What's all this, what's all this?" Lockhart smiled and to Harry, it looked less charming and more evil (though it was probably due to Harry's incredible dislike of his new defense of the Darks arts teacher). "Ah, Harry Potter! I should have known."

Thanks to him, Malfoy was able to walk away snickering superiorly as Harry was forced to accompany Lockhart in the pictures that Colina took as she snapped away at abandon. By the time they were done the bell for the class had rung and it was time to go with Lockhart anyway.

"Th-thank you so much!" Colina said looking from Harry to Lockhart with bright eyes, "Wh-when it gets sorted out will you sign it?!"

"See Harry? I helped you. If you were alone it would seem like you have a big head now, wouldn't it?" Lockhart whispered to Harry just before he said to Colina, smiling, "Of course, we would, dear! Come find me anytime and you'll know where Harry is of course. Now I'm off to class, Harry make sure you aren't late galivanting with your fans!"

As Harry watched Lockhart strut off, he felt the sudden urge to throw Colina's camera at him.

But he wouldn't want to do that to Colina who despite being a little much, seemed like a good girl.

Freya obviously thought so too because she smiled at Colina and said, "You know, I saved Hogwarts last year too, you know."

Colina beamed, "Really?"

"Yep, William and Harry sort of helped~" both Will and Harry rolled their eyes as she grinned over at them, "But I did most of the awesome things. You did pretty good sticking up to that Malfoy git-" Colina flushed with pleasure, "So you know what? Umm, you can haave…" Freya looked through her bag and then brightened, taking out a sort of plain and a bit battered-looking journal as she gave it to Colina who accepted it wide-eyed. "I've had that in my bag since going to Diagon Alley and haven't really done much with it, but you can get other famous people's signatures in there too! You know, our headmaster is pretty famous." Freya grinned, "And Harry even touched the book once, I think."

Colina looked wide-eyed and Harry opened his mouth to question that last statement when Will coughed, "Um, guys. Class? Freya, weren't you excited about Defense Against the Dark Arts or something?"

"Ah, yes, you're right." Freya looked over at Colina and smiled, "Hurry to class, okay? And keep the book."

"Th-Thank you!" Colina flushed happily as she waved to them enthusiastically before running, well practically skipping, off-tripping partly on the stairs in her rush to go up them.

Harry and his friends hurried and as they did, Harry and Will both glanced at Freya.

"You were oddly…" Will paused, "Nice to her."

"Yeah," Harry agreed, "Like super nice."

"Aren't I always nice?" Freya questioned. At Will and Harry's silent reply she rolled her eyes, grinning slightly as they turned the corner to go to Lockhart's room. "She was a nice kid, a nice girl, and... you know."

Freya shrugged as they reached the door.

"She's gave me little sister vibes."

After taking the stupidest pop quiz he'd ever before taken in his life and wrangling pixies into the cages thanks to the help of Will mostly; Freya, Harry, and Will sat in the empty Defense of the Dark Arts room in almost stunned silence.

"I guess…" Will looked thoroughly shocked as he looked down at the Voyages with Vampire's book lying on the floor beside him, one of the pages now ripped, "You can't always rely on a book for accurate information."

Freya and Harry nodded dejectedly at that as the end-of-class bell rang.
