Hello everyone and welcome back! I am very excited to bring you another chapter of Tsuna: Legend of Primordial!

This is one that I am very excited about! Get ready because it's gonna be a wild night! Enjoy!

Chapter Eight

Two years have gone by and the tribe of Üngana has changed. Life and death are always in a constant balance in Primordial. In the years that have passed, the tribe may have lost some of its oldest members, it also gained new ones as well.

After several mating seasons, all of Tsuna's friends were now parents. Her few female friends had now become mothers, while her former bullies fathered several infants of their own. Seeing the young little apes run around both brought joy and sadness to Tsuna.

On the one hand, she was happy and excited to see she had so many nieces and nephews. Oh how she loved playing with them, letting them climb onto her, and wresting with them. To the infants, they saw her as their strong Aunty Tsuna.

On the other hand, she wished she could experience parenthood as well. Seeing her brother and friends have children, it reminded Tsuna of her eternal loneliness. No matter how strong or how attractive she was, she could never gain the attention of a mate.

Still, playing with the little ones did relieve some of the worries she carried.

With the moon at its peak in the stary night sky, the Üngana slept amongst the large curling trees. Tsuna could be seen in her nest of leaves and branches, sleeping with the small infants. She held her oldest nephew under one arm, while the other apes clinged onto every square inch of her body, with her youngest niece sleeping on her head.

Oh how they were exhausted from the long day they had. With their parents in need of a break from their shenanigans, the infants found Tsuna leaving off for another adventure. Easily persuaded, the human decided to stay and play with the little apes.

Safe in their territory, Tsuna took the infants on a small little adventure, taking each one on a day of tree climbing and vine swinging. She loved feeling their little hands and feet grab onto her, and their howls of excitement was music to her ears. It filled her heart with joy, with every moment of playfulness that went by.

Soon enough the day had come to an and, and instead of retreating back to their parents, the little Ungana wanted to spend the night with Aunty Tsuna. The young woman couldn't refuse them, as both she and her mother slept quietly in their nest among the children. Maku, Taruk and the other strong male apes, were keeping watch over their families.

The large male apes took turns at keeping watch over their nesting ground. With Maku and his friends finally adults, and with families of their own, they were given the responsibility of watching over the females and infants. Every night, they showed no protest for they valued their loved ones more than a good night's sleep.

Taruk, felt the years weighing down on him. With grey hair growing alongside his back, and the countless scars across his body, the leader of the Ungana stood strong as he kept watch.

As the females and infants slept, the males patrolled their home. Some were stationed closer to the nesting grounds, while others spread out and walked along the boarders of thick trees.

Despite the trees being strong enough to hold back a full grown skull rex, that did not mean their home was impenetrable. Small dinosaurs can easily slip through the defenses and snatch the young ones, but none were strong enough to face a full grown Üngana. If one child were to die, the who tribe would retaliate in vengeance.

While the night was quiet, one of the gorillas is scene pacing back and forth at his post. He was at the edge of his territory and starred at the dark jungle ahead. He focused his senses and listened to every creek and crack of the jungle.

The sound of wind flustered in his ear as he listened to leaves blowing, before he turned his back. However, he would regret doing so. From behind, a shadow swept him from beneath before his call for help was quickly silenced.

Far across from him, another male Üngana is seen walking alongside a small creek. The sound of water running muttered the sound of footsteps closing in on him. Soon enough the ape saw a pair of glowing yellow eyes before he felt sharp teeth clench his throat.

One by one, more apes were being killed in the cover of darkness. Those that were eager to volunteer for the night watch were quietly killed as they were inexperienced for the dangers that lurked in the shadows. The more experienced apes, however, felt a disturbance.

Maku, along with his friend, heightened their hearing, for it had been some time since they heard from one of the newest males. The two ventured away from the nesting ground and used the moon light to guide them. It wasn't long until they came across another male Ungana, but something was wrong.

Maku nudged the ape and watched the body collapse right in front of him and saw how the male was mangled beyond notice. His eyes were gouged out while his through was slit, covering his face in blood. Maku noticed how the blood left a trail, and as he followed it, the path led him to a small tree in the shadows.

Soon enough, a pair of glowing yellow eyes were staring at him. Before he knew it, Maku saw a pair of sharp teeth lunge at him. The ape was quick as he grabbed hold of the jaws while he fell on his back exposing the creature in moonlight.

It was a species of velociraptor that was grim and malice. Their bodies were covered in long black feathers while their eyes glowed yellow and their head resembled closely to their skull but had a long sharp beak. These grim raptors were the ancient enemy of the Üngana.

For millions of years, these apes battled against these raptors. While skull rexes were formidable, grim raptors were more cunning and lethal. Their highly evolved brains rivaled the intelligence of the apes.

Most battles often occur in the dead of night for it played in favor of the raptor's appearance, allowing them to blend perfectly in the shadow. Their glowing yellow eyes had perfect night vision, making the darkest knights feel light the brightest day. Their claws, teeth, and beaks were sharp enough to leave fatal wounds on these apes.

But while the grim raptors were fast, the Üngana were stronger than these reptiles. A full grown male can handle three of these creatures alone. Because of this, the raptors developed highly cognitive thinking for they needed to outsmart these apes in order to win.

The raptors tend to use the cover of night in their favor, using their black feather to blend in with the shadows, and launch several ambushes from different directions. This was how the younger males fell prey to these animals for they did not know of the traps that were set for them.

Fortunately, Maku has had several quarrels with these raptors as he used all his strength to pry the jaws open before a loud crack was heard. It would seem the ape was too strong for this single predator as he had split its jaw wide open. The large ape bangs his chest in victory and lets out a loud roar, alerting the rest of the tribe.

Soon enough, deep in the dark jungle, both he and his friend saw multiple yellow eyes stare at them. The two apes turned and ran, despite being in their prime, they were not strong enough to take on a full pack of grim raptors. The two apes howled and screamed their voice, alerting every member of their tribe that they were under attack.

Tsuna's eyes sprung open as she heard her brother sound the alarm. Without hesitation, she and her mother grabbed the infants and climbed up the tree. Many of her nieces and nephews latched onto the human as she made her used a vine to swing herself up the highest branch.

Bloody screams of terror could be heard throughout the night, as several females called out to their children that were lost in the midst of the chaos.

As Tsuna safely landed on the branch, she saw her mother climb up beside her and the two watched as the madness unfold beneath them. Many of the females fled to the trees as some of them were successfully able enough to reach safety. Others were not so lucky as several raptors launched themselves onto the confused females and killed them with their powerful bight.

This triggered a rage unlike any other, as all the males lost sense of their world before they violently fought agents the raptors. The infants were terrified. Despite being safe up in the trees, they could not tune out the death and madness that was occurring.

Tsuna looked to Üma and saw the fear in her eyes. Sure there have been several raids against their family over the years, and in every raid the human girl sought refuge amongst the trees. However tonight felt different.

Instead of fear, the young woman felt a swell of anger and rage build inside her. She refused to cower in the tree while others fought and died in front of her. She did not want to hide like a little girl, instead she wanted to protect her family no matter the cost. Tonight she will fight.

Tsuna! Üma shouted as she watched her daughter leap into the frey.

Ignoring her ape mother's plea, the young woman swung into action. She spotted a small infant running his life from one of the raptors. Just before it could fall prey to the dinosaur's jaws, Tsuna kicked it in the face.

She watched the reptile fly face first into the ground before scooping up the little ape. Just as the infant latched himself onto her back the grim raptor shake its head before it regained its footing. The two locked eyes with one another as the human starred into the piercing yellow eyes.

The grim raptor roared, showing its many teeth within its bone beak mouth while Tsuna responded with a roar of her own. She banged her chest with clenched fists while the little Üngana looked behind and quickly tugged the young woman's black hair. She turned around and from the corner of her eye she saw another raptor charging behind her.

Thinking light on her feet, the human dove before the rapture lunged at her and soon crashed with the other dinosaur. Tsuna took the chance of confusion to climb up the nearest tree before letting the small ape on her back to climb the nearest branch. The infant wasted no time as it made its way to safety.

The same could not be said for Tsuna, as she felt immense pain coming from her left foot. She hold in pain before felling to the ground with a loud thud as a grim raptor had her by the leg. The predator dragged her across the dirt and mud and Tsuna desperately searched for something to grab.

She took hold of a large root, stopping her for a moment, but as her leg was bleeding, the raptor hissed at the girl and readied its sharp beak. Before any harm could fall upon her, the first two raptors intervened. Soon the three grim raptors fought amongst themselves for the young girl.

While the three fought, the human dragged her self away before feeling a large rock in her hand. One of the raptors noticed her departure and quickly lunged at the girl, only for Tsuna to smack its large beak with a stone. Bits of bone and rock flew across one another as Tsuna was now filled with adrenaline.

One raptor noticed the skirmish and made an attempt on the girls life and Tsuna leapt away from danger dodging every attack the dinosaur gave. A claw swiped itself across her chest and Tsuna hissed in anger.

With a rock in one hand, she stood strong and watched as the three raptors circled her. Before the beasts could make a move, rustling noises can be heard from the trees. Several grunts were also heard before they saw a shadow swing from the trees.

Maku lunged himself behind Tsuna and the ground shook as he landed on the jungle floor. The large ape roared in anger, puffing his chest out and banging it with clenched fists. The raptors responded with their own roars before charging at the two Üngana.

Tsuna and Maku showed no fear as they both charged at the three raptors. Maku stretched his arms fully out, gripping two of the grim raptors and pinning them both in the ground. Tsuna slid underneath her opponent before using all her strength to push her feet upward, flipping the raptor over her.

Like a savage, Tsuna rushed over to her enemy and wrapped her arms around the mouth of the beast. She felt the full weight of the raptor thrashing its head trying to free itself from her grip. The young woman gritted her teeth as veins were pulsing across her muscles while he and death itself were locked in a dance.

In a way, it reminded her of her fight with the pachycephalosaurus when she was a teenager.

While Tsuna was dealing with her raptor, Maku focused on the other two. Like his sister, the great ape wrapped his arms around the neck of one of his raptors, while the other was locked in between the gorilla's legs. Maku let out a loud roar before he clamped his powerful jaws on the grim raptor that was in his arms.

The bird of prey struggeled to free itself once the gorilla's jaws were on its upper beak. Thankfully, the beak itself was hard bone, nothing would break it. Soon enough the raptor was able to get one of its arms free before it started to scratch the gorilla across his face and chest.

Maku roared in both pain and anger, for the longer he held these monsters the more they fought back. Tsuna fared no better as her scream could easily be heard when her raptor scratched its claws across her back. Maku's eyes widened was he realized the danger his sister was in and knew there was only so much she could handle.

The great ape channeled all his strength into his arms and squeezed the life out of the grim raptor. He looked down and saw the yellow eyes bulging out of their sockets before he forced his muscles to move upward. With a quick tug, the male gorilla managed to snap the grip raptor's neck as a loud CRACK was heard.

Before he could rest and recover, Maku felt an incredible pain coming from his leg. He looked down and saw the raptor biting down on his right shin.

Across from them, Tsuna wrestled with her raptor before the predator had enough of this scuffle and used his weight to ram Tsuna against a tree. The young woman felt her back sting like no other for her wounds were fresh and the force of the blow was enough to release her opponent. She slid on the ground before starring at the raptor.

The black feathered dinosaur tucked its arms in as it aimed its sharp beak at Tsuna before charging at her. In an attempt to end the fight, the raptor intended on using its beak to impale the young woman through the heart. The attack failed as Tsuna dodged the attack and watched the bird lodge itself into the tree.

Seeing how her opponent was stuck, Tsuna lunged her self onto the grim raptor. She wrapped her arms and legs around the dinosaur before biting down on its neck. The animal squirmed in pain once Tsuna found its weak point as feather flew and she tore into its neck.

It wasn't long until the grim raptor freed itself from the tree before it started to kick and buck the wild woman off its back. Tsuna hanged on for dear life, digging her toes, fingers, and teeth onto her opponent. The raptor roared in pain as many of its feather were being torn off before it came up with another strategy.

In order to get Tsuna off its back the dinosaur willingly threw itself onto the ground, smashing Tsuna with its full weight. She ached in pain and felt the wind get knocked out of her before she saw raptor standing over her. The beast did not hold back as it jabbed its beak repeatedly at Tsuna.

Tsuna covered her face and rolled from side to side, avoiding the powerful beak. But at the same time, she felt the claws of the predator scratching her arms and legs. Thinking light on her feet, literally, she used her feet to yank off several feathers from the raptor's belly, causing it to scream.

Meanwhile, Maku wrestled with the one remaining raptor as it jaws clamped shut on his right leg. After watched Tsuna get slammed into the ground by the other raptor, he decided to follow by example. The large ape soon rolled himself on top of the dinosaur, forcing all of his weight onto the beast.

The grim raptor felt his back feel immense pressure for it could no longer get up, not with a seven foot gorilla on top of it. Maku then reached down and made an attempt to pry the jaws open, only for the raptor to squirm around. Frustrated, the ape jammed its fingers into the birds left gold eye, blinding the animal and allowing Maku to open its jaws.

Slowly but surely, the large gorilla began to open the bird's jaws as he could see his leg was almost free. However, the raptor continued to squirm around causing Maku's hand to slip closer to the Ade go the beak. The ape roared in anger before he tugged his arm and the sharp end of the beak snapped off.

The grim raptor felt immense pain for the front end of its mouth was taken by the gorilla. However, the pain would not last for much long as Maku slammed his fist along side the raptor's skull. Suddenly the struggle stopped and the ape opened his fist, revealing that he slammed the sharp beak into the raptors head, killing it.

With no time to waste, Maku ran to his sister and tackled the one remaining raptor that was viciously attacking Tsuna. The human covered her face and vital organs before she watched the raptor get slammed against the ground by the powerful ape. The two species struggled and squirmed as Maku did his best to held the raptor's jaw shut.

Still it did not stop the predator from clawing and scratching the gorilla. Maku felt his arms and legs get torn while Tsuna was recovering from her violent attack.

As Tsuna watched her brother get torn to shreds, she looked around and saw a very sharp rock with a pointed end. She grabbed the stone before lunging at the grim raptor's exposed belly and used all her strength to stab the heart of the wild dinosaur. The grim raptor's widened its yellow eyes before they soon faded to black and struggling ceased.

Maku felt the dinosaur's life slip away as the heat from the raptors head became cold. He loosened his grip and gently shook the grim raptor's bone-like head before seeing as it was fully dead.

Tsuna and her brother breathed heavily for their fight left them exhausted. Tsuna felt a sense of pride for not only did she survive her first fight against a grim raptor, but she also managed to kill one. Sure she may have had some help, but she had proved her friends and family that she was capable of helping.

With the night fading, the Üngana repelled their feathery invaders.

Taruk, the leader of the tribe, twisted a raptor's head with ease before crushing another with his large foot. The old gorilla banged his chest and roared, taunting any raptor that dared approach him. Several of these predators acknowledged the ape's strength before they released roars of their own.

At the same time several of Maku and Tsuna's friends were covered in bites and scratches, but they were faired better than their foe. Once they were Tsuna's former bullies, now they were comrades in arms for one of them grabbed the corpse of a fallen raptor and held it high. The other apes banged on their chests as they were ready to continue the fight.

The raptors saw that their numbers were dwindling. True, they were able to reduce some of the Üngana population, but all they did was thin out the weak. All that remained were the strongest members of the tribe.

Feeling that this night would only end with death, the remaining raptors of this pack retreated back into the dark jungle. The apes cheered as they saw the enemy flee.

While the males celebrated their victory, the females and infants howled and cheered from the safety of their trees. Taruk looked up and smiled at Uma but noticed she had a look of concern on her face. He turned around and saw his children standing side by side one another.

The other apes followed as they turned to the hairless wonder and saw how she was standing on top of a raptor's corpse. They were in disbelief as they never thought they would see the day Tsuna, whose name meant "Little Ape", stand against their oldest enemy. All huddled around the human girl.

Taruk approached his daughter who was covered in blood and many scratches. He was relieved to see that his daughter was still alive, but he was even more impressed with her accomplishment. He placed his forehead against hers and let out a sight a relief.

Well done. He grunted.

Maku, her friends, and other male apes followed as they acknowledged the human member of their family. Each of them bowed their heads with respect and the young woman felt a strong sense of pride. More importantly, she felt something she had always wanted in her life - recognition.

Tsuna placed her foot on the dead grim raptor. She felt its soft black feathers beneath her sole and toes and took a deep breath. She puffed out her chest with pride, before let out a roar that could be heard throughout the jungle.

And that'll do it for this chapter! This was something that I was really looking forward to because throughout the story, we've been watching Tsuna get stronger and stronger. Now we get to see the payoff of all of her adventures.

At the same time, if you look at Chapter Four, you'll notice that this was foreshadowed earlier on and going into this chapter I wanted to showcase Tsuna's strength. Funny thing is originally she was going to face off two grim raptors alone, but I realized that despite her growth, she would survive. Instead I added her brother into the fight and I like how it turned out as we get to see these two siblings work together.

Well that's gonna be it for this chapter! I hope to see you all next time for the finale and let me tell you, we are going BIG!

If you liked what you saw feel comment, like, and follow this story!
