A week later in front of You Show Duel School.
"Yuya, Yuzu, Sora, Tatsuya, Ayu, Futoshi. The day has finnaly come! To thinks that all of our students from You Show Duel School qualified for the Maiami Championship... I... I'm... So proud of all of you!" Shuzo exclaims with tears in his eyes, before dashing forward to hug his students, who simply dodge out of the way, causing Shuzo to fall to the road past them and a cyclist to ride over his back.
"Why did you dodge...?" he asks in emotional and physical pain, still lying on the ground.
"Dad, you're way to excited." Yuzu clarifies.
"We're not even at the stadium yet..." Ayu points out.
"Y-Yeah... that's right." Shuzo says as he gets up.
"Then allow me to explain again, the Maiami Championship is separated into three different classes: Junior, Junior Youth and Youth. Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi are in Junior Class. Yuya, Yuzu and Sora have qualified for the Junior Youth Class." Shuzo explains.
"I'm shure you know this, the LDS sponsored Maiami Championship isn't just all the Duel Schools from Maiami City... but also qualifiers from all of Japan, no, the whole world come to attend! In order to promote our You Show Duel School's Entertainment Dueling style, you should all be aiming to win! Now, from here on out you are not only friends who have trained together... but also fierce rivals!" Shuzo tells them.
"Fight with all your strength! Don't hesitate or be disheartened! Believe in what you've learned and burn brightly! Hot-blooded!" Shuzo says with a lot of flare, not realizing that his students start entering the van, completely ignoring him.
"Alright! I'll do my best! I'll shiver them to their bones!" Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi say.
"I'll definitely win!" Yuzu says after collecting herself.
"Alright, you guys all set?" Shuzo asks from the driver seat.
"Yeah!" they all answer.
"Then we're off! Burning engine start!" Shuzo says as he starts driving.
Meanwhile Yuzu looks to where Yuya should be, only to find nothing there.
"Huh?!" she exclaims in shock.
"Wh-what's wrong, Yuzu?!" Shuzo asks after stopping the van.
"Dad, Yuya... Yuya is...!" Yuzu tries to say.
"Yuya is...?" he asks as he looks toward her seat.
"Not here!" they say shocked.
"What!?" Shuzo asks in panic and shock.
Later at the stadium.
"How did it go?" Ayu asks as she regroups with Tatsuya and Futoshi.
"She wasn't there! She really hasn't come here yet!" Futoshi says out of breath.
"I wonder what happened to big sis Yuya...?" Tatsuya questions.
"Got it, you guys just keep searching!" Shuzo tells them over his duel disk as he enters the stands.
"Dangit, Yuya, she's really...!" Shuzo mutters as he runs off to look for her.
"Sora! Has Yuya...?" Yuzu asks him as she and the kids find him sitting around with a sign while eating a lollipop.
"Nope, she hasn't come here yet." Sora says with a shrug.
"Big sis Yuzu, what should we do?" Ayu asks her.
"I called her house, and she hasn't gone back there either... I can't get a hold of her at all! Where could Yuya have gone...?" Yuzu wonders worried as she clutches the necklace she got from Yuya.
"What did you say?" they hear someone say, and when they turn they see Mieru standing there.
"You're...!" Yuzu exclaims recognizing her.
"Is it true that my darling hasn't come yet?" Mieru asks.
"My... darling?!" Yuzu repeats as her anger explodes.
"Could it be...! That darling snuck off to meet my mother and father! Oh my, what a surprise!" Mieru wonders squealing.
"What're you talking about! There's no way that could happen!" Yuzu declares with her fan in hand.
"Big sis Yuzu calm down! You know big sis Yuya only has eyes for you!" Tatsuya tries to reason with her.
"But what should we do? The tournament's opening ceremony is about to start..." Ayu asks as she holds on to Yuzu to keep her from murdering Mieru.
"Don't worry! I'll be able to find where darling is with my fortune telling!" Mieru declares as she kneels down and puts her crystal apple on a violet cloth in front of her.
"Darling... Darling... where could you be?" Mieru says as she scribes, not noticing Yuzu standing behind her, about to beat her to death with her fan, while the children try to stop her.
"My darling... my sweet darling...! I see it!" Mieru says, unknowingly saving her skin.
"Wh-Where is she?" Ayu asks.
"That way!" Mieru says as she points toward the bridge across the stadium.
"Huh? That way?" Tatsuya asks confused.
"Yes! I just told you she's that way!" Mieru repeats annoyed and points toward the bridge again.
Meanwhile Yuya is sitting on the bridges railing with her goggles on, looking toward the stadium.
"Dad, it's finnaly going to begin... The tournament to get closer to you..." Yuya thinks as she remembers the conversation she had with her dad at that very spot the day before he vanished.
"It's important to be like myself..." she mutters as she lets her pendant swing in front of her.
"Hey if you don't hurry up you're going to be late!" Yuya hears someone say, and when she looks next to her, she finds her mom standing there.
"Mom!" Yuya says.
"I got a call form Yuzu! Everyone is worried because you went missing!" Yoko tells her.
"Mom, I..." Yuya tries to say as she looks toward the stadium.
"Yuya... You picked the wrong place to do this." Yoko says, confusing Yuya, as she walks behind Yuya and puts her hands on her shoulders.
"If you want to tell your Dad something, you shouldn't do it here, but there instead!" Yoko says as she points toward the stadium.
"The stadium..." Yuya mutters before pulling up her goggles.
A bit later at the stadium.
"I heard Yuya Sakaki ran away! Huh? Then she's just like her dad, isn't she?" Some of the people say.
"Big sis Yuzu... What should we do?" Ayu asks after hearing that.
"Yuya..." Yuzu mutters.
"Ah, there you are!" they here Yuya say, and see her running toward them.
"Yuzu! Guys!" Yuya calls, while waving at them.
"Big sis Yuya!" the kids say relieved as they see her.
"Yuya!" Yuzu says as she looks ready to cry.
"Sorry for the wait!" Yuya says as she reaches them.
"Yuya! I was so worried about you, where did you wander off to?!" Yuzu asks as she takes Yuya's hand in hers and holds it close to her chest.
"Sorry, I just had something to take care of! And you should know that I wouldn't leave without you? Right?" Yuya says with a wink before giving her a peck on the lips, making Yuzu blush and smile.
"We can enter the stadium soon, right? Let's go line up!" Yuya says as she walks ahead.
"You really..." Yuzu says with a fond smile as she shakes her head.
"Don't worry about it!" Yuya says as she looks back, causing her to walk into someone.
"Well hello again weakling!" Gen says as he turns around.
"You!" Yuya says through gritted teeth, not liking having run into him.
"It was before an important tournament, so I was certain you'd run away!" Gen mocks her.
"Just shut up! Last I checked you ran away from me screaming after our duel last week! So you can shove your insults down your throat! I'm done giving the likes of you the time of day!" Yuya declares.
"Wait ran away... Is that the guy that ambushed the two of you?" Sora asks Yuzu.
"Yeah." she answers, her eyes narrowed at Gen while glistering with rage.
Hearing that the children mimic her expression, remembering what Yuya and Yuzu told them.
"Why you!" Gen says as he is about to throw a punch at her.
"That's enough, Gen Ankokouji!" Gongenzaka says as he grabs Gen's arm stopping him.
"Gongenzaka!" Yuya exclaims as she sees him.
"Calling a senior disciple by his name, are we? You must be a real big shot now, Gongenzaka!" Gen says mockingly as he looks back at him.
"You are no longer my senior!" Gongenzaka angrily says.
"Players can enter the stadium in a moment. All competitors, please line up on front of your respective team placards." the announcement is called over the speakers.
"At least try and stay in the tournament until I crush you!" Gen tells Gongenzaka as he frees himself of his grip and walks away.
"To think we'd meet him here..." Gongenzaka says as he and Yuya look toward the direction Gen left with narrowed eyes.
"Gongenzaka! You qualified for the tournament, right?" Yuya asks hopeful.
"Yeah! I, the man Gongenzaka, made the 60% win rate qualification right before the entry deadline!" Gongenzaka proudly says.
"Really? That's great! Great job!" Yuya says as she holds out her hand to him, which he takes.
A bit later in the arena.
Nico Smiley takes the stage.
"Everyone, we apologize for the long wait! The once a year festival for Duelists! The Maiami Championship has begun! I, Nico Smiley, will be running you through this opening ceremony!" Nico says with his usual extravagance, to which the crowd cheers.
"Now, let the entrance procession begin!" Nico says as the different duel schools enter the arena.
Over the screen Yuya, Yuzu and Sora watch the LDS enter, before Yuya and Yuzu gasp in shock when they see Shun walking with LDS.
"He's... Why is he in LDS?!" Yuya and Yuzu question shocked before looking at each other surprised.
Meanwhile Shun and Reji exchanges glances with each other while Shun remembers their conversation from the night they met.
"Enter into a Duel Tournament? Are those the conditions to duel you?" Shun asked.
"That's right. There, we will be picking the strongest duelists. In order to fight against Leo Akaba." Reji explained.
"Against your father?!" Shun questioned.
"Leo Akaba is my enemy. Simply put, we are fighting against a common enemy." Reji declared, surprising Shun.
"In the tournament, there is someone who uses real Fusion Summons. On top of that there is another who is using a Summoning method you don't know of yet. I'd like you to verify it up close. I want to know if she will be useful as a lance to fight against Leo Akaba..." Reji told him.
Back in the present.
"Then you know him too, Yuya?" Yuzu asks surprised.
"Yeah... He attacked members of LDS top team in front of my eyes!" Yuya recounts her run in with Shun, shocking Yuzu.
A few moments later You Show Duel School enters the stadium. While walking in, Yuya catches a glimpse of Reji, who is looking at her with narrowed eyes.
"All of you who are gathered here, are the elite, having won your way out of many other duelists! We expect you to duel your best while exhibiting fair play!" the organizer says.
"Next, we will be conducting the oath of fair play! The players representative this year is...! You Show Duel School's Yuya Sakaki!" Nico says as he points at her.
"Huh?! Me?!" Yuya exclaims shocked.
"Yuya is-?!" Yuzu exclaims.
"Saying the oath?!" Yoko says equally shocked.
"How did that happen?!" Shuzo wonders.
"Wa-wait a second! No one told me about thi-" Yuya tries to say.
"Yuya Sakaki to the stage please!" Nico says, to which two staff members grab her from behind by the shoulders and bring her to the stage.
"Yuya, if you are a true duelist, pull it off in one go!" Gongenzaka exclaims.
At that Yuya is literally tossed to the stage.
"Yuya, this is another step forward as an entertainer! Now if you will..." Nico tells her.
"Yuya..." Yuzu says worried.
"Well, then... " Yuya says as she walks to the mice. Though her nerves are not helpful at all.
"Yuya, get it together! Everyone is watching!" Yuzu tells her.
"Everyone is...?" Yuya thinks before she clutches her pendant.
"Will Yuya be okay?" Shuzo asks.
"She'll be fine, don't worry!" Yoko tells him.
"Ladies and Gentlemen!" Yuya starts as she spreads out her arms.
"Pardon me for my earlier mistake. In order to turn it around, this the oath of fair play! ...is what I'd like to start off with, but I would like you to listen to what I have to say instead." Yuya exclaims.
"My father is the duelist Yusho Sakaki! The best entertainment duelist in the world! But as you all know, three years ago, before his duel began, he went away somewhere... Everyone called me the child of the runaway duelist, and I practiced Entertainment Dueling desprerately, saying "I'll show them!". But at some point, I think I really ran away from actually dueling. But after discovering Pendulum Summoning and fighting with relly strong duelists, I began to enjoy dueling even more! I realized I want to like Dueling even more! And I want to be Yusho Sakaki, someone people will be proud to knwo, the best Pro Duelist! I want to be a duelist who can make myself and everyone else enjoy dueling even more!" Yuya exclaims, at which Reji starts applauding and soon after the entire audience, minus Shun, started applauding to.
"Excellent! That was Yuya Sakaki's oath of fair play as well as her declaration of her determination!" Nico says.
"Well said, Yuya!" Shuzo cheers.
"Yoko! Yuya right now is catching up to the famed duelist Yusho Sakaki!" Shuzo tells her.
"Don't be ridiculous! She's not catching up to Yusho Sakaki, she's going to surpass him!" Yoko tells him, leaving him stunned.
"If she doesn't have that much spirit, then she won't be able to win this!" Yoko says.
"Now then, we will now announce the first matches! All competitors, please put your registration card into your Duel Disk!" Nico says.
"This is the registration card, right?" Yuya asks as she and the others pull out their cards.
"We got this before we came into the stadium, didn't we?" Yuzu points out.
"The registration card receives communication from the Tournament Operator's computers, and will guide you to your opponent. And of course, it will update when you qualify for the next round of the tournament!" Nico explains.
"Really? That's convenient! Alright!" Yuya says as she and the others insert their cards into their duel disks.
"My opponent is... Sawatari!?" Yuya exclaims shocked.
"My opponent is... Masumi?!" Yuzu says also shocked.
"The match date is tomorrow, huh?" Yuya says.
"Mine is today in the afternoon." Yuzu says.
"Mine is tomorrow." Gongenzaka says catching their attention.
"Who are you dueling against?" Yuya asks, to which he shows her his match up.
"Ankokouji?!" Yuya exclaims shocked.
"This must be fate..." Gongenzaka says.
"Be careful. His deck focuses on steeling his opponents monsters." Yuya warns him, to which he nods firmly.
"Mine is right after this!" Futoshi says.
"Mine is after that!" Ayu adds.
"Alright! Today, we'll be cheering for Futoshi, Ayu and Yuzu!" Yuya declares.
"What about you Sora?" Tatsuya asks.
"It's tomorrow. My opponent is from LDS." Sora says.
"LDS? Who is it?" Yuya asks as she looks at his duel disk.
"Shun... Kurosaki..." Sora says, shocking the two teens.
"This person is Shun Kurosaki..." Yuzu exclaims shocked.
"Yuzu Hiiragi, it seems you're my opponent." Masumi says catching their attention.
"Masumi! Masumi, tell me! Why is Shun Kurosaki listed as an LDS member?" Yuzu questions.
"What are you talking about? He's been part of our group from the start." Masumi says.
"Huh?!" Yuzu exclaims confused.
"From the start...?" Yuya questions confused.
"Sora... Shiunin..." Shun says as he sees his opponents name.
A bit later.
After managing to summon his ace monster Futoshi wins his duel.
"Well done, Futoshi! This will be a victory to remember for You Show!" Shuzo says.
"You gave me shivers, Futoshi!" Yuya says.
"Hehe, no problem!" Futoshi replies flattered.
"Don't let your guard down, Futoshi. There is a proverb that says: "Don't let your guard down even after a victory.". That is a warning to victors from the deceased." Gongenzaka explains.
"Little-Gon, you're like an old man!" Sora jests.
"Don't call me old!" Gongenzaka tells him, offended.
"Ayu is up next!" Yuzu says.
"Yep! I think my opponent is from LDS..." Ayu says.
"LDS?" Shuzo questions.
A bit later.
"Here we go... All right, charge complete!" Ayu says as she shuffles her deck.
"Ayu is really getting into it!" Yuya points out.
"Well that's because of my shiver-inducing victory! Of course she'd get into it!" Futoshi flatters himself.
"Sensei! Thank you for taking care of our daughter!!" Ayu's mother tells Shuzo.
"Ayu's cute today as well!" Ayu's father gushes as he records his daughter.
"Hey! You need to at least say hello to Sensei as well!" his wife scolds him.
"No, it's quite fine. Film all you can, sir! This is Ayu's big moment! With the Action Duel training she's received from You Show Duel School, Ayu will be a star one day for shure! When that happens, footage from this match will be a national treasure!" Shuzo tells them.
"Ayu is already our star! Ayu look this way! Th... this way... Aah! So cute!" Ayu's father says as he films his daughter.
"Jeez... what the heck is this?" Sora mutters while eating ice cream.
Despite fighting well and lowering her opponents life points past 500, Ayu still lost to Reira, after they summoned their CCC monster.
"Ayu, are you okay?" Yuya asks as she walks over to the depressed looking girl.
"Sorry, everyone... I... I tried my hardest but I lost." Ayu says disheartened.
"Ayu, if you loose today, you just have to win tomorrow. Believe in tomorrow's victory and take another step forward!" Yuya says as she kneels down beside her to cheer her up.
"That' right! How many times do you think Yuya has lost to me, the man Gongenzaka in the past?" Gongenzaka says.
"Hey! You didn't need to add that in! And after I said such cool lines too!" Yuya says irritated from the last statement.
Seeing them bicker like that Ayu starts laughing and cheers up.
Meanwhile Reira simply walks away without saying a word, heading straight to Reji.
While doing so Reira remembers the fleeting moment where they saw Yuya from up close. For some reason the older girls presence calmed them, and it also seemed like they were looking at both day and night at the same time.
"Keep that up." Reji says as he pats Rera's head.
"To thinks that we would lose to an LDS duelist... that boy really was something..." Shuzo mutters.
"Girl." Yuya says catching their attention.
"Take it from someone who has been dressing in a boyish fashion her entire life, that kid was a girl." Yuya says, surprising them slightly.
"Dad, I will avenge Ayu! This time I'll definitely beat LDS... and Masumi Kotsu!" Yuzu declares.
"All right! I'm counting on you!" Shuzo says proud.
"Big sis Yuzu, you're giving me shivers!" Futoshi says.
"Alright, lets head to the center court for Yuzu's Duel!" Yuya says.
"Wait! Where's Sora?" Yuzu asks.
"He went off to go watch some other duels earlier..." Yuya tells her.
Meanwhile Sora is watching a duel on a field that looks like a jungle maze.
"Hmm... There really aren't any interesting duelists like Yuya around..." Sora exclaims disappionted before receiving a call from Yuzu.
"Hello, hello!" he answers cheerfully.
"Sora! Get over here, my duel is about to start!" Yuzu yells so loud that it makes him tense up.
"Well. If my disciple Yuzu is going to duel, I'm going to have to watch as her master." Sora says, after she hangs up, and starts heading to her duel.
But after a few steps he walks past Shun and tenses up for a second, getting a familiar feeling from him.
A bit later.
"Big sis Yuzu, do your best!" Ayu cheers as Yuzu enters the arena.
"I'm looking forward to a shiver-tastic duel!" Futoshi cheers.
"Stay calm!" Yuya says.
At that Masumi enters the arena and puts on her duel disk.
"Masumi was definitely hostile against Shun Kurosaki... But now... Just what is going on?" Yuzu thinks as she looks at her opponent.
"Your eyes have no luster." Masumi says with a smirk.
"No, no, no! I won't be overpowered by you again! In this duel, I'll show you a me different from the one you saw last time!" Yuzu declares ready to fight.
"Fine by me. This is a tournament match after all. It wouldn't feel right if you didn't at least do that." Masumi says, confident in her victory.
"Everyone! Thank you for waiting! And now, the match between Yuzu Hiiragi from You Show Duel School, which teaches Entertainment Duels, and Masumi Kotsu, from today's fiercest competitor, Leo Duel School begins now!" Nico announces the start of the duel.
"Hot-blooded!" Shuzo exclaims.
"Get your revenge, Yuzu!" Yuya encourages her.
"Big sis Yuzu!" Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi cheer.
Sora notices Shun watching the arena from the shadows and smiles mischievously.
"First up is the Action Field selection! The field card selected randomly by the machine is...! Action Field On! Field Magic, Infinite Bridge!" Nico says as the random action field is activated, a endless maze made up of a single never ending bridge hanging above a bottomless pit.
"One misstep and it's a headfirst drop into the abyss! Which of these budding Junior Duelists will bloom in this unnerving field?" Nico says.
"Duelists locked in battle!" Yuzu starts
"Kicking against the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters!" Masumi continues
"They storm through this field!" Yuzu says
"Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of dueling! Action!" Yuzu and Masumi finish together.
"Duel!" "Duel!" Yuzu and Masumi say as the action cards are dispersed and the duel begins.

"I'll be going first! I activate the Magic Card, Gem-Knight Fusion! I can use Gem-Knight monsters in my hand to perform a Fusion Summon with this card!" Masumi explains.
"Just as I expected, she's going to do a Hand Fusion on her first turn just like last time." Yuzu thinks.
"The cards in my hand I will fuse are the three Gem-Knights Saphire, Ganet and Crysta! Gem with facets of day and night! Brilliant emerald of good fortune! Become one with the blue stone and create a new light! Fusion Summon! Supreme radiance who illuminates everything! Level 9! Gem-Knight Master Dia!" Masumi chants as her fusion monster appears.
"Master Dia's Attack Points increase by the number of Gem monsters in my Graveyard times 100!" Masumi explains.

"I set one card and end my turn. Now, it's your turn! Show me how much you've changed!" Masumi says as her facedown materializes.
"My turn! Draw!" Yuzu says as she glances toward Sora who nods at her.

"From my hand, I activate the Magic Card, Fusion!" Yuzu says.
"Fusion!?" Masumi repeats shocked.
"What a shock! Yuzu Hiiragi has used Fusion!" Nico exclaims.
"I fuse Aria the Melodious Diva and Sonata the Melodious Diva that are in my hand! Echoing melodious voice, flowing melody! Guided by the baton, gather your power! Fusion Summon! Now, come to the stage! Meisterin Schubert the Melodious Maestra!" Yuzu chants as her fusion appears.

Seeing Yuzu fusion summon, Shun flinches in horror.
"Big sis Yuzu pulled off a Fusion!" Ayu cheers.
"Shivers!" Futoshi says as he wiggled around.
"That's it, Yuzu! You're dazzling today!" Shuzo cheers.
"Once per turn, Meisterin Schubert can banish all materials of a Fusion monster from the Graveyard! I'll banish the Fusion Materials for Gem-Knight Master Dia! Saphire, Ganet, Crysta, as well as the Magic Card, Gem-Knight Fusion! Chorus Break!" Yuzu explains, shocking Masumi whose monster weakens.

"And for the rest of this turn, its Attack Points increase by 200 for each card banished by its effect!" Yuzu adds as her monster powers up.
Meisterin Schubert the Melodious Maestra (LV.6) (2400 - 3200ATK/2000DEF)
"On top of lowering her opponents Attack Points, she increased her own by 800!" Tatsuya exclaims.
"That's not all! A Gem-Knight Fusion used for a Fusion Summon can be returned to the hand from the Graveyard by just banishing one Gem-Knight. Yuzu's move just now makes that impossible." Sora reminds them before glancing over to Shun.
"But you already know this much, don't you?" Sora thinks as he looks at Shun.
"Battle Phase! I attack Master Dia with Meisterin Schubert! Wave of the Great!" Yuzu declares as her monster destroys Master Dia with a soundwave, and Masumi jumps onto a lower bridge section.
Masumi: 4000 - 3700 LP
"I set two cards and end my turn! And at this moment, Schubert's Attack Points return to normal!" Yuzu exclaims as her facedowns materialize and her monsters power up ends.

"Woah, You Show Duel School isn't doing half bad!" Yaiba says genuinely impressed.
"Masumi's hand is at zero!" Hokuto points out sweat dropping.
"My turn, draw!" Masumi says as she starts her turn.

"I'm surprised that you can use Fusion, but if this is all you can manage, it won't stand a chance against me!" Masumi exclaims arrogantly.
"Quit bluffing! Right now, you only have one card in your hand! You can't fuse with that!" Yuzu exclaims before realization hits her.
"Unless...!?" Yuzu exclaims hoping she's wrong.
"Caught on? Well, here is the same card I used to beat you last time! The Continuous Magic, Brilliant Fusion! With this card, I can Fusion Summon a Gem-Knight monster using monsters from my Deck as Fusion Material!" Masumi explains as she activates the card.
"Oh no!" Yuzu exclaims.
"From my deck, I'll choose Gem-Knight Alexand, Emeral and Obsidian to perform a Fusion!" Masumi explains as the cards are ejected from her duel disk and she holds them up.

"Gem with facets of day and night! Brilliant emerald of good fortune! Sharp jet-black darkness! In a whirlpool of light, combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! Fusion Summon! This is my true ace! Dazzling lady, Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia!" Masumi chants as her ace appears.
"All right show them the power of LDS's Fusion!" Yaiba exclaims.
"The Attack and Defense Points of Monsters Special Summoned by Brilliant Fusion become 0." Masumi explains.

"But, by sending one Magic Card to the Graveyard, I can return its Attack and Defense Points to normal until my next turn!" Masumi adds before dashing off, with Yuzu in pursuit.
"Huh? What is going on now?" Ayu questions confused.
"Action Cards! She's planning on using an Action Card she finds to return Brilliant Dia's Attack Points to 3400!" Yuya explains worried.
"I won't let you!" Yuzu says when she sees Masumi getting close to an action card.
'I activate the Trap, Melodious Song of Divine Punishment! It deals 800 points of damage to my opponent for each Melodious monster I control!" Yuzu says as a bright green lightning strikes Masumi and throws her off the bridge.

Using the momentum Masumi swings around and manages to grab the action card and land on a bridge section bellow.
"Now that was amazing! As expected of an LDS elite! She got an Action Card using brilliant movement!" Nico comments, while Yuzu heads to the opposite direction.
"By sending one Action Magic to my Graveyard, Brilliant Dia's Attack Points return to normal until my next turn!" Masumi exclaims as she discards the card and her monster regains its strength.
Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia (LV.10) (0 - 3400ATK/0 - 2000DEF)
"Battle Phase! I attack Meisterin Schubert with Brilliant Dia!" Masumi says as her monster charges at Schubert, slicing through the soundwave it send at it, and cuts it in half.
"Yuzu!" Yuya shouts worried when she sees her being blasted of the bridge by the attack.
Luckily though Yuzu saves herself by holding on to a bridge railing, barely.

"That was a close one! Hiiragi manages to grab onto the railing and hold out!" Nico comments, while Yuya feels like her heart almost gave out.
"She had us worrying for a moment there, but... looks like she is back to her usual self!" Hokuto exclaims after seeing Masumi's counter attack.
Meanwhile Yuzu manages to push herself back onto the bridge.
"Now do you get it? This is the difference between our strengths. I end my turn with this!" Masumi says.

"If she gets another Action Card, I'll be at an even bigger disadvantage! I've got to do something!" Yuzu thinks.

"I set one card and end my turn!" Yuzu says as her facedown materializes.
"Huh? Just like that?!" Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi exclaim confused.
"Don't worry, she should be able to endure this much. After all she's been thoroughly taught the fighting style of a Fusion Summoner by yours truly." Sora tells them.
"My turn!" Masumi says, starting her turn while running.

"I won't let you get an Action Card!" Yuzu says as she chases after her.
"I won't let you stop me! I summon Crystal Rose!" Masumi retorts as her monster appears.
Crystal Rose (LV.2) (500ATK/500DEF)
"When Crystal Rose is on the Field, in can be substituted as any Fusion Material I need! I use Crystal Rose as Gem-Knight Roumaline!" Masumi explains.
"I activate Brilliant Dia's effect! By sending one Fusion Material on the Field to the Graveyard, I can perform a Fusion Summon!" Masumi explains.
"A Fusion Summon with one material!?" Yuzu exclaims shocked.
"This is the power of Brilliant Dia! Using Crystal Rose as Roumaline, I Fusion Summon Gem-Knight Zirconia! Grind Fusion! Come forth, bewitching and dazzling splendor! Gem-Knight Zirconia!" Masumi chants as her monster appears.
Gem-Knight Zirconia (LV.8) (2900ATK/2500DEF)
Zirconia then lands in front of Yuzu, blocking her way, and allowing Masumi to snatch another action card.
"The Action Card... Got taken!" Tatsuya and Ayu exclaim worried.
"I send one Action Magic to the Graveyard to return Brilliant Dia's Attack Points to normal!" Masumi explains as her monster regains its strength once again.

"Now Brilliant Dia will have her original Attack Points until her opponents next turn..." Yuya says in frustration.
"Battle Phase! First, I attack your face down monster with Zirconia!" Masumi says as her monster destroys Yuzu's set monster, and sends her rolling across the bridges walkway.
"Now the only monster you had protecting you is gone. This will finish you!" Masumi says as she walks up to Yuzu.
"I make a direct attack with Brilliant Dia!" Masumi says as her monster charges at Yuzu.
"I activate the Trap, Fusion Cycle! I can Special Summon a card used as Fusion Material this turn from my opponents Graveyard onto my Field in Attack mode!" Yuzu explains.
"From my Graveyard?!" Masumi exclaims shocked, to which Sora smirks.
"The card I choose to summon is Crystal Rose! A monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot be destroyed by battle this turn!" Yuzu adds.
Crystal Rose (LV.2) (500ATK/500DEF)
"But you'll still take damage!" Masumi says as her monster attacks, slicing the bridge section in front of Yuzu apart and sending her rolling backward.

"I end my turn here. If I hadn't Fusion Summoned this turn, you wouldn't have been able to use Fusion Cycle. You should thank your luck." Masumi says.
"That wasn't luck..." Yuzu says as she starts getting up.
"Masumi, you have pride as a Fusion user... I was certain that you'd try ti finish me off with a Fusion monster! And that would protect my life points and give me the hope I needed!" Yuzu says straightening herself.
"You're quite talkative for someone who only survived by the bare skin of her teeth! Why don't you just prove to me next turn that you can do something aside from pointless struggling?" Masumi exclaims certain of her victory.
"I plan to! My turn!" Yuzu says as she is about to draw.
"I will become stronger for my friends! This is my resolve!" Yuzu thinks as she remembers Yuya's words to her when she returned her Fusion card, as well as the things Yuto told her when they met in that alley.

"She...! Don't tell me she's planning to use my Crystal Rose?!" Masumi exclaims shocked.
"Crystal Rose can be treated as a necessary Fusion Material for a Fusion Summon! I use Crystal Rose as Prodigy Mozart the Melodious Maestra!" Yuzu says as Crystal Rose is enveloped with the shining phantom of Mozart.
"So pretty... It's like a fairy is being born from the crystal rose!" some female audience members say.
"Using Soprano the Melodious Diva's effect, I can fuse itself and Crystal Rose! Angel's song! Supreme genius! With guidance of the baton, gather your power! Fusion Summon! ow come here to the stage! Sing the song of victory! Bloom Diva the Floral Melodious Saint!" Yuzu chants as he fusion appears from within a blossom.

"That's Yuzu's new ace!" Yuya exclaims.
"It's pure and beautiful both inside and out! A perfect fit for you!" Yuya thinks with a blush as she looks at Yuzu and her new ace.
"Without using a Fusion Magic Card...?! She did a Fusion Summon using Masumi's cards!?" Hokuto and Yaiba say shocked.
"I attack Gem-Knight Zirconia with Bloom Diva!" Yuzu declares.
"What? Even though Zirconia is stronger?" Futoshi questions.
"Bloom Diva is not destroyed when battling Special Summoned monsters, and the opponent takes any Battle Damage I would! And it destroys that monster as well!" Yuzu explains, shocking Masumi, while her monsters attack intensifies.
"Reflect Shout!" Yuzu says, as her monster pulverizes Zirconia with its voice, blowing Masumi backward.

"She did it! That's some big damage!" Ayu and Tatsuya cheer.
"Shivers!" Futoshi says as he wiggles around.
"Now you've done it... But that will be your downfall!" Masumi declares as she gets up.
"I activate the Trap, Brilliant Spark! When a Gem-Knight on my Field is destroyed, I can deal damage equal to its Attack Points to my opponent!" Masumi explains as the phantom of her monster blasts a ray toward Yuzu.
"The destroyed Zirconia's Attack Points were 2900!" Gongenzaka exclaims.
"If Yuzu takes this, she'll...!" Yuya exclaims worried.
"I activate the Trap, Melodious Illusion! During the Battle Phase, it negates an opponents Trap, and lets one of my Melodious monsters attack again!" Yuzu explains, as her trap captures the blast heading toward her.
"She did it!" Ayu cheers.
"Now she can make a comeback!" Tatsuya cheers.
"H-hey look at that!" Futoshi says pointing at Masumi.
"Brilliant Spark's other effect, by sending one Magic Card to the Graveyard, I can negate any effects that negate this Trap!" Masumi explains as she rushes toward an action card, and Yuzu jumps off the bridge.
"This is bad! If she gets that Action Card, Melodious Illusion will get its damage nullification negated since it hasn't resolved yet, and Yuzu will lose!" Yuya exclaims panicked and concerned.
"Got it!" Masumi says, right before Yuzu comes diving downward and snatches the card.
"Wh-what is this!? Hiiragi makes a diving catch for the Action Card!" Nico comments as Bloom Diva catches Yuzu and floats down to a lower platform letting Yuzu off.
"You Show Duel School can't lose when it comes to action!" Yuzu declares.
"Unbelievable! Why would you jump from that height?!" Masumi exclaims shocked.
"Being one with your monster is how You Show Duel School Duels!" Yuzu explains.
"Due to Melodious Illusion's effect, Bloom Diva can attack again!" Yuzu says as her monster prepares to attack.
"This is the final blow! I attack Brilliant Dia with Bloom Diva! Reflect Shout!" Yuzu says as Bloom Diva turns Masumi's monster to diamond dust and blasts her off the bridge.

"Masumi!" Yuzu shouts when she sees this.
Luckily Masumi is caught by Yuzu's monster mid fall.
"You... saved me?" Masumi says in surprise, she then looks toward Yuzu who nods at her to which Masumi blushes slightly.
Though unnoticed by anyone, Yuya still notices and her eyes twitch.
"Did she just... No she wouldn't..." Yuya thinks with a murderous aura oozing out of her, which luckily nobody notices.
"This neck to neck fight for Action Cards ends with You Show Duel School's Yuzu Hiiragi's victory!" Nico announces.
"Big sis Yuzu!" Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi cheer.
"You did it, Yuzu! As expected of my daughter! Hot-Blooded!" Shuzo exclaims as tears shoot out of his eyes.
"You did it, Yuzu..." Yuya says with a smile, her joy currently overshadowing her frustration about what she saw.
"Now you understand how amazing I am, don't you?" Sora thinks before looking toward where Shun was. Emphasis on was.
"What's wrong with him!? Don't tell me he left at the most important part!" Sora says in a mix of annoyance and frustration, confusing Tatsuya.
A while later during sunset, the You Sow crew was walking back home, and was currently passing LDS.
"Big sis Yuzu using her opponents monster to Fusion Summon gave me shivers!" Futoshi says.
"Well, I'm the one who taught her, so being able to do that much is a given!" Sora praises himself.
"Yuzu Hiiragi!" Masumi says as she walks toward her.
"Masumi!" Yuzu says.
"You better plan on winning after you defeated me!" Masumi declares surprising Yuzu.
"I wouldn't be able to stand losing to someone who doesn't even win this tournament!" Masumi says as she walks up to her.
"So, here..." Masumi says as she holds out a card.
"This is...? Crystal Rose? Why?" Yuzu says when she takes the card and sees it.
"You'll need it to shine again like you did in your duel today! Later!" Masumi says as she walks away.
"I won't forgive you if you lose, got it?" Masumi tells her.
"Masumi! Thank you! I'll be shure to shine even brighter!" Yuzu says.
"I'm glad Yuzu is happy and has a rival that can push her to new heights." Yuya thinks as she looks at the smiling Yuzu with a smile of her own.
"But she better keep her hands to herself." Yuya thinks as she turns toward the direction Masumi left with a frown.
