Deep in the Hunters Ice Mountain, the ancient tribes of Saber-Tooth Cats, Mammoths, and Vultures, celebrate their first conquest after thousands of years of frozen sleep. Having successfully invaded Chima, freezing all in their path with ruthless ice powers, they revel in their victory as their leader prepares their next move.

"It won't be long now. Their lands, their CHI, even the warmth inside their skin, it shall all be ours!" Sir Fangar declares, addressing his people, who grunt a noise of agreement. They had sent the newer tribes packing and covered a kingdom in ice, its peoples helpless against their might, who could possibly dare to stop them now?!

In the Rhino Quarry, that question would be answered, as Rogon addressed his own troops. "Today we fight! For our home, for our friends, for our freedom! Who's with me now?" he says with vigor, raising the spirits of those brave few who stood before him.

"He does know they're rocks, right?" Cragger whispered, asking his friend, as standing before the rhino was a line of rocks.

"Just let him speak to his troops. The last time we fought those ice tribes; rocks were the only thing that seemed to work against them." Laval reminded him, letting their eccentric friend have his moment.

"On your feet rocks! For Chima!" the rhino cried out with pride, enjoying himself, as he marched onwards with his troops.

All the way in the hunter's Ice Mountain, the defenders of Chima began to set up on a nearby hill. While on the mountain's base, Mottrot took notice of something strange going on.

"Mama! I think someone's up on those hills! And they're trying to..." he tried to warn the others but was blatantly interrupted by his mother. "Hush, Mattrot! Can't you see your little brother Mungus is sleeping?!" Maula scolded her eldest, while her youngest snored while sleepwalking with the hunters on their crusade throughout Chima, ignorant of the fact he was trying to help.

"But Mama! I think they're trying to throw giant rocks at us, and..." he tried again in a whispering tone, before being squashed by a giant rock from above.

"Hey! Quit lying down on the job, lazy bones! They're throwing rocks at us!" his mother coldly called on, as he grunted, trying to escape. "Protect your brother!" she orders, as Mungus is still snoring until he's woken up by a bang on his head from another giant rock a few seconds later.

"Let them try to freeze THIS!" Laval cried out, from atop the hill, as multiple rocks were flung at the hunters, and even though they got iced that didn't stop them from raining down on them and the ice just made the impact more painful.

This gets Sir Fangar's attention, who turns towards his vultures, ready for a counterattack! "Vardy my loyal underling, it is time we take our freeze to the sky!" he commands, determined to show what happens to those who defy him.

"An air attack. Are you sure we can't wait them out? That's what I like to do. Wait and wait." Vardy starts on a tirade before more rocks are rained down upon them. "Actually, an air attack sounds like an excellent idea, Sir Fangar!" he says with hurry for once, as all the vultures take to the sky.

"Woohoo! Time to rain down the pain!" VoomVoom cries out excitedly, itching for a fight. "The only pain will probably be mine," Vornon says pessimistically. Nonetheless, he follows the rest of his tribe into battle. Nearing the hill, they prepared to unleash a barrage of blasts towards their enemies. But before the vultures could attack, something from above hits Vardy's jet.

"I KNEW I SHOULD'VE WAITED!" Vardy yelled franticly, as a fleet of eagles appeared to battle the vultures in the sky. "Ha! Watch out for the bird dropping!" she joked, as all the eagles dropped some more rocks down to the hunters, one of them hitting a random sabertooth's tank.

"Ugh! I'll never be able to clean that bird mess off my windshield!" the sabertooth complains, while off to the side, Strainor starts to panic. "The rocks are falling! The rocks are falling!" he screams while he's dragged along by Sykor.

"We must seize the skies, oh mighty mammoths! Assist our worm-riddled allies above!" Fangar commanded, retaining his composure, as the Mammoths separated from their giant 4-legged machines into their own tiny airships and went to help the Vultures.

While back on the hill, Cragger and Laval look on in awe and fear as the mammoths take off to aid their allies. "They didn't fly last time, did they?" Cragger asked in a panicked, not believing his eyes. "No, and I didn't count on them flying this time either!" Laval replied with worry, his plans already falling apart.

On the battlefield, the Mammoths and Vultures shoot and freeze the Lion Tanks, Cragger, and Laval escaping just in time before theirs got iced as to throw a boulder at the new flyers, but his mech drops thanks to being frozen, disabling him from doing so. "Not happy!" he cries out, now stuck on his frozen mech, unable to move.

Atop the hill, Rogon finishes loading some rocks onto his catapult, "To those of you who won't be coming home today, I salute you!" he says, saluting the rocks that are flung towards the hunters, and is then stuck in that position because his head gets iced.

"Hey! Keep your hands off my face, hand!" he complains, before another blast freezes over his tank. Laval and Cragger take refuge behind it, looking at the battlefield from the sides. "We're too vulnerable out here, we've got to get to cover!" Laval says, not liking their chances.

"EVERYONE! FALL BACK!" Cragger gives the order, taking charge as Rogon approaches while he's stuck saluting thanks to the ice. "No need to salute Rogon, just retreat," Cragger tells the rhino, not noticing his predicament.

"Sorry, can't help it. My whole side is frozen now." Rogon tells him, walking into his truck and chipping off a tiny bit of the ice. "Watch the tank, Rogon!" Laval warns him, unsure how safe it is. "What tank?" he says innocently, oblivious to the frozen block that used to be his truck.

As they prepare to leave on their tank, they knock more rocks into the battlefield, which roll over to the hunters. "Rocks, rocks, rocks. How pathetic." Sir Fangar says with disdain, as he presses a button and rolls out of his tank atop his motorcycle, driving it out of the battlefield.

While Laval and Cragger try to escape, with Gorzan's mech strapped to their back, Eris and the eagles fly in the sky to shoot any from below. "Hey! Pick on somebody your own size! And your own altitude!" she says confidently, before one by one, the Eagles behind her are all shot down.

"Eglor?Ewar? Elon?!" Eris calls out desperately, as she notices that her jet is starting to freeze from behind. "Hey, boys! Wait up!" she says, as she ejects from her jet and screams while falling, hitting the ground hard by an empty piece of land.

Shaking herself up, but when she hops out and glances towards a nearby hill. Inexplicably, she somehow sees flames burning on a hill before a fiery temple appears in its place.

While back on the battlefield, Sir Fangar comes to a stop when the lions retreat with their tanks. "Is that the best you can do?!" he yells out at them before a rock hits him on the head.

"FREEDOM!" Rogon cries out, as he, Runk, and Rukus shake their butts at Sir Fangar right in front of him. "We made him look at our butts," Runk says with a chuckle, the other laughing as they run away.

"A most perplexing battle tactic," Fangars says with bewilderment, while the hunters keep on moving themselves and the ice, Sir Fangar notices Eris by the hill. "Interesting," he says with intrigue, as he goes to check it out.

Still by the hill, Eris couldn't believe her eyes, as to her amazement, she saw a giant temple of gold and red with fire glazing all around it, and up its stairs was an unknown elderly figure that highly resembled a flaming red avian. Full of amazement she almost lays a foot on the first stair until.

"ERIS!" Laval cried out to her, having just arrived on his tank. "Huh?" Eris says stumped, just now snapping out of her trance. "WE GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE!" he calls out in a hurry, the hunter's forces not far behind them.

"No! I can't! Not now! I finally found this temple and-" she begins to say franticly until she looks back and gasps to see it was an illusion because the temple has disappeared. "A... Am I dreaming again?" she asks out loud, not understanding what was happening.

"I don't know!" a voice calls out behind her, causing her to scream in fright, revealed to be none other than Sir Fangar. "Do you often dream of swaggering sabertooth tigers intent on imprisoning you in ice?!" he asks in a sarcastic tone, smirking slightly as he points his gun at her.

Eris struggles for words, looking back toward her friends as she tries to find a way out. "Time to feel. My. Freeze!" he exclaims maniacally as he shoots, but to his confusion, some invisible barricade blocks the blast.

"Huh?" he says in confusion before Laval drives his tank to Eris and tosses her a rope, which she grabs and swings to the seat inside. "ERIS! HOP ON! Sorry! There's not much room with the ice monkey back there!" he says once she's safely beside him.

"Dude, I'm so totally toasty now," Gorzan says out of the blue, having completely thawed on the back. "Gorzan?! You melted?!" Laval said with surprise, baffled at the turn of events. "Soon as we hit this groovy hill!" he says, as he laughs and leans up. "Hey, check this out, dudes!" he says, getting himself and his mech on their own two feet and running to Sir Fangar.

He grunts in annoyance, trying to get his blaster to work properly, while Gorzan closes in. "STAMPEDE!" the gorilla cried out, as Sir Fangar tried to shoot again but it was still blocked by the force field, so he growled.

"Uh oh, I can't feel my..." Gorzan punches him into the distance with the hunters following him with their eyes, "freeeeze!" he cries while flying, while Gorzan and the others leave the hill.

While hidden in the nearby forest, a pair of reptilian eyes observe with intrigue. Unseen by the hunter, the crimson-clad serpents leave the area, a sinister glint in their eyes. They suspect their queen will be most pleased with this development.

Back in the Snake Warriors camp, Machia and Shen have just finished delivering their report to their queen. "Interesting, most interesting indeed!" she says pensively, as she slithers from side to side in contemplation. "And you are certain you're not mistaken?" she asks her servants, needing to be absolutely sure of their validity.

"Yes, my queen, the ice appeared to not affect that hill, and only on that hill!" Machia assured her, not one to mince words. "And you can confirm this?" the queen asks, turning towards the other Vermillion in the room.

"Indeed, though we do not know the reason for it, that hill would make an ideal point to commence our offensive!" Shen confirms his response is militaristic as expected. "More than you realize! If what you say is true, it is but a fraction of the power we seek!" she tells the two, her mind now certain of what that place was.

"So that where it sat? I had a feeling the location had changed, but I wasn't sure!" she thought, contemplating her next move. "Gather your squads, I want a team ready to climb that hill, we might not need to climb that mountain after all!" she commanded them, a sinister smirk on her features.

However, Machia didn't move right away, instead asking a question. "But, your Majesty, shouldn't the General be in charge of this? It's his campaign is it not?" Machia asks with slight hesitation, torn between her Queen and her creator.

"Pythor will be made known of this development, but time is of the essence! It is best if you're ready to mobilize the moment he's informed," she told her, her eyes narrowing slightly at the Commander, not liking that she questioned her orders!

"Yes, of course, your Majesty! I apologize for my insolence!" she said, as she and Shen rushed out of her chambers, rushing towards the rest of the army. Shen spotted a small smirk of his own, as the commander seemed to be losing her favor.

Meanwhile, at the New Eagle Spire library, Eris eagerly told Ewald of her vision. "It sort of looked like something the eagles would build, but WAY cooler! And it was on fire too!" she says excitedly, sounding like a child again.

"Yes, of course. Everything is on fire these days with you." Ewald said, not paying that much attention, yet glad to see her back to her old self.

"No, really Ewald. It was more than another vision or dream, it seemed so... Real." She tells him, her mind thinking back to it in awe.

"Well, I have heard strange tales of ancient fire birds. They were called, the Phoenix." Ewald told her, deciding to humor her, and somewhat intrigued himself.

"YES! THE PHOENIX! THAT'S THEM! I don't know how I know that, but I do! There must be something in this library about them." Eris exclaims with excitement, eager to finally have a lead on her visions.

Deciding to help her, Ewald flies with Eris to the other side of the library while saying, "Yes, but you won't find anything in the fiction or non-fiction section. You would have to go to an area we call... The completely ridiculous section!" he announced, revealing a dark and unkempt section of their library.

"Woah... I didn't even know the library had a place like this." Eris exclaims in astonishment, looking along the shelves with awe and excitement. "Why would you? The only books here are completely ridiculous!" Ewald informs her, thinking it was fortuitous the section had survived in the first place, as a book lets out a burping noise in front of them.

"You would have to excuse some of these works, they've been hidden here, unread for centuries. As they decay, they make the rudest sounds," he explains, as multiple books start burping all around them. "Ew! That IS ridiculous." Eris says, slightly unnerved by the noise.

"Ah!" Ewald exclaims as he pulls out a book from the shelf, "This one might be informative. Or just completely ridiculous? You decide." He said, glancing at the title before handing it to Eris. The book burped into Eris' face, much to her chagrin, before she reluctantly began to read.

Meanwhile, in the Lion Temple map room, Lagravis, the Generals, and some of the remaining heroes gaze at the map on the floor. "Our enemy has frozen an entire corner of Fangs, the Swamp, and everything nearby." Lagravis recounts, as he thoughtfully looks on at all the land they've lost.

"And their fort is on some moving ice mountain, it's unstoppable. Once it reaches Lion City, conquest complete!" Cragger reminds them, much to his and everyone's dismay.

"Mm." Rogon suddenly interrupts, as he licks some of the giant blue stuff on Chima's map, "Conquest tastes awesome..." he says absentmindedly, as Gorzan joins in for a taste.

"Dude, is this... blue cake frosting?" he asks, surprised and delighted at his discovery. "Uh... yeah. I didn't know what else to use to show their ice movements." Laval confessed with embarrassment, scratching the back of his head, slightly ashamed.

"Really? What did you use when our tribes were fighting?" Cragger asks suddenly, curious at the prospect. "Uh... Oh! I, uh... I..." Laval stuttered, unable to find the words to respond.

"Wait! You didn't frost the map during our battles?" Cragger cried out offended. "Well, you weren't taking over everything like this," Laval explained, trying to defend his choices without further offending his friend, while Gorzan and Rogon continued to eat the icing.

"I was too! I mean... I was trying to! A little cake frosting would've been nice, Laval!" Cragger wined at him, feeling belittled by the lack of response at his past conquest, even if he was mind-controlled!

"Boys! Please! We need to focus on beating our new enemies!" Lagravis interrupted the young heirs' banter, dragging the attention back to matters of importance.

"Tell you what, if you ever go rogue, I promised to smear frosting all over the map room!" Arcturus added to the young ones humorously, earning a small laugh from his peers, as he too drove the conversation to more important matters.

"These new hunters are quite the problem. While it's clear they are still new, amateurish even, with little experience, discipline, and control over the element; their sheer numbers make them a formidable threat," he said, drawing reference to battles long fought.

"Just the rate of their spread is unlike anything I've seen before!" he told them, peering down to take a closer look at the map. "Yeah! And they're tough! Blow swords are useless! So are hand weapons!" Laval added, while Gorzan still busied himself with the frosting.

"Why don't ya throw a little FROSTING at them, Laval?!" Cragger suggested sardonically, inwardly still a bit upset about the matter. "Ooh! I like that idea!" Rogon eagerly agreed, not registering the sarcastic tone in the slightest.

"Ahem! Are there any other ideas?" Lagravis asked, desperate for some actually good suggestions. "The ice is too hazardous to fight them in the open again, we need a way to attack without sacrificing cover!" Skales told him, the long-time schemer looking at their problem from every possible angle.

"I wish we could just drop stuff on them and then, hide in the jungle," Gorzan suggests, causing the other to think. "Or... we can have the jungle drop stuff on them!" Cragger exclaims, having the perfect plan in mind.

"You mean like?... The Falling Jungle!" Laval says with realization, knowing exactly what his friend was thinking. "Woah! That place is crazy!" Gorzan says after falling over, as the others consider the proposal.

Later that day, while the Hunters march through the jungle and their temple tramples on the trees, Laval and his blockaders wait for them on the other side.

"Once they start chasing us, our speedorz should be fast enough to outrun them," Laval informs the group, already atop his speedor. "But we don't wanna lose them completely, they need to follow us into the Falling Jungle over there," Cragger added, ensuring the others understood the plan.

"What do I do, Laval!" an eager voice called from behind the lion, revealing a young Hypnobrai decked out in tanned wraps, khaki shorts, and a large blue scarf. "Oh, Junior! What're you doing here bud?" Laval asked, caught off guard by the young serpentine's appearance.

"I want to help kick those frozen numbskull's butts!" the young heir of the Hybnobrai answered excitedly. "Sorry bud, but this is too dangerous for you to join. I think it would be better if you sit this one out!" Laval told him, kneeling to place a hand on his shoulder.

"Fine," he said disappointed, walking away with his head hung low. "He's a good kid, but there's no way I'd let him follow us into the Falling Jungle over there, the plan is dangerous enough as it is!" Cragger said, voicing his concerns as he watched the kid go.

"Then we should find the Phoenix!" Eris said hastily behind them, running towards them at full speed, a book still in her hands. "Yeah, so, as I was saying..." Cragger continued, completely ignoring her words.

"No, really! I figured it all out! My dream, the fires, EVERYTHING!" Eris explained franticly, her voice growing in excitement by the minute.

"Eris, we're glad you're here!" Laval kindly greeted his friend, Eris chuckling bashfully. "We'll need all the air support we can get! But I think you've been through a lot lately..." he told her, much to her chagrin, as he was still uncertain of her mental health, "And-" he tried to continue before Eris cut him off.

"No! The Phoenix WILL save us!" she assured them, opening the book, "They're an ancient race of fire birds! Look what I found in this book! I saw the same temple the other day in the curvy hill area!" she continued saying franticly, showing an old illustration of a temple on her book.

"Eris. I was there at the crescent WITH you! And there was no temple." Laval reminded her, concern for her more than ever. "YES! Exactly! That's where the Phoenix Temple is located, but also, where it's NOT located!" Eris said manically, sounding even more crazy than before.

"Huh?" the others responded with confusion, lost as to what she had just said. "And that's why we keep this book in the ridiculous section of our library," Ewald reminded her, frustratedly walking over to Eris.

"But I believe this book! And it says we have to go to Mount Cavora! All the answers are up there!" Eris told him, still firmly believing in the stories, as she pointed towards the mountain.

"Yes, of course, my dear, my nobody can get to Mount Cavora. There's an implacable energy field." Ewald said with concern, as he walked her away from the others.

"The Spiders and Bats did it! They went into the waterfall." Eris pointed out, frustrated by the lack of faith they had in her.

"Please, Eris. One incredible save-the-world plan at a time. Now our friends need our help here." Ewald told her, wanting her to focus on the situation at hand, not chasing old fairytales!

"Ugh, okay... But I've heard the call of Cavora, and I'm answering it, whether anyone helps me or not!" she relents, flying in her jet and taking off, as all her friends ride to the hunters on their Speedorz.

Cragger, Gorzan, Laval, and Rogon rode in a straight line in between two groups of Hunters, crossing right down the middle. "Woohoo! Move aside you glow bones!" Laval mocked, as they all started to blast at the trees, hoping to make them drop on the hunters.

But the Hunters only grunt as they see them, more confused than anything. "Bet you can't catch us!" Cragger called out, only for the Hunters to grunt even more, as they tried to figure out what they were doing. "Yeah! Don't make me mob you again!" Rogon said next, with the Hunters shrugging in utter bewilderment at his words.

While Rogon and Gorzan drove further into the forest, "Dude, you are so awesome." Gorzan complimented his rhino friend. "I know bro, I know." Rogon agreed smugly, riding his speedor on the said as they retreated further into the woods.

Having had enough of their insolence, Sir Fangar growls before ushering a command. "Ice them all!" he orders, as the Hunters open fire and chase the four heroes straight through.

After a bumpy ride, dodging and weaving across the incoming blasts, the Heroes of Chima arrive at their destination. "Ready to give 'em a tour of Chima's most STRIKING scenery?!" Laval says sardonically, delighted at how well their plan was turning out.

"Striking? I think the Falling Jungle is absolutely SMASHING!" Cragger agreed with an exaggerated tone, as they finally crossed over into the jungle.

Once they had lured the hunters into the Falling Jungle, the trees instantly started to fall on both them and Laval's group. After a true test of skill and endurance, grunting while dodging falling trees, the group safely gets further up the jungle. While the hunters behind get squashed by the falling trees, Cragger and Gorzan take the time to chuckle as they leave.

Vultures crow as they fly their jets after the group, with one vulture, unfortunately, being both cut-off and squashed by a tree. "Now this is what I call action!" VoomVoom called out, as he remained on the defender's trail. "This is what I call imminent want trauma, followed by prolonged suffering and pain," Vornon said instead, as the two vultures flew above the trees and shot away at the group.

Cragger and Laval scream while dodging blasts and trees but go silent when they see an icicle-made ramp up ahead. "Uh oh," Cragger calls out upon seeing it, turning to Laval for advice. "Don't stop now! Just ride up it!" Laval states determinedly as they ride their speed up the ramp with Rogon and Gorzan.

"Weee!" they cry out as they jumped across the air, enjoying the moment. "Our plan worked!" VoomVoom exclaimed happily, as the group came down to the vultures who shot at them, an eagle screech was heard.

"I see failure ahead." Vornon says pessimistically, as the Eagles fire at the Vultures, "And failure sees me." he concludes as he flies away from the fight. Cragger, Gorzan, Laval, and Rogon scream while falling but go silent when they hit the ground safely and ride away.

Meanwhile, the Vultures move onto the eagles as their target, already taking out a jet. "If we keep fighting these vultures, we won't have any jets left!" Eglor calls out worriedly, as he tries to shake the vultures of his tail.

"Let's just lose them in that cloud!" Eris called out, as she and Eglor flew up to the cloud above, but the vultures ended up freezing it, forcing Eglor to eject.

"An ice cloud? Those vultures can freeze anything!" Eris cries out surprised, as she slides past the cloud while being shot at, and gets an idea when seeing Mount Cavora, so she goes towards it.

"There's one thing I'd like them to freeze for me!" she says confidently as she rushes towards the mountain, aiming for the waterfalls. She screams as she is nearly shot down but gains control and speeds back up to her target.

"Ugh! If you're seeing the sights of Chima, it's about time you vultures got a close-up view of our waterfalls!" she cries, luring Vornon into a waterfall, the vulture getting stuck in it as he freezes it. "Ugh... Why me?" he says from his icy prison, resigning himself to his faith.

VoomVoom looks on at his trapped friend, distracting him from noticing Eris diving towards him from behind. "NOO!" he screams as he's pushed into a waterfall and gets stuck in it as well.

"AH!" Eris cries out in victory, as the Vultures exit their jets and leave. "That was awesome!" Vornon tells his buddy, as they fly side by side. "I think I feel air sick," VoomVoom replies, stumbling slightly as he flies back to the fortress.

While outside the Lion Temple, Cragger and Laval laugh as they exit the forest, the vultures crowing while they fly away, catching the two hero's attention to look at Eris by the waterfalls.

"What is Eris up to now?" Laval wonders aloud, as Cragger grunts and shrugs, heading over to the waterfall with Laval. While above Eris has started shooting little holes into the waterfall going up.

"ERIS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Laval yells out from the base of the waterfalls. "Heading a trail up the ice falls for you guys! I can fly most to the way, but you two might need some help climbing up here." Eris responds, still shooting at the falls.

"To Mount Cavora?!" "This is crazy!" both Laval and Cragger cried out with surprise and concern, thinking she had finally lost it. "Yeah! So I've heard! That's all you guys ever say! Always mocking my dreams and visions!" Eris snaps back, finally snapping at them from the constant belittling and doubt.

"That's not true! We don't ALWAYS mock them." Cragger says back defensively, much to Laval's confusion, "Sometimes we ignore them too." he said insensibly, uncaring at how he sounded.

"Cragger! Stop that!" Laval tells him, seeing as it wasn't helping them, and realizing just how bad of a friend he had been towards Eris. "Sorry! But we're NOT climbing up to Mount Cavora with her! Never! Absolutely not!" Cragger told him resolutely, slamming his foot down on the matter.

Mere seconds later, Cragger and Laval are both grunting as they climb up the iced waterfall, and Eris makes more climbing holes as they go up. "Hurry up, guys! I don't know how long these falls will stay frozen." Eris rushed the pair with concern.

Cragger growls in exhaustion and annoyance, turning to Laval, "Y'know, even if we make it to the top, and through the mountain's energy field, you step one foot on Cavora, you'll burst into flames." he says, recounting the old legends.

"Aw, come on! That's an old myth! uh... And Eris is going in first anyway." Laval replied, a little unsure himself but still confident in their endeavor. "Right! But do we HAVE to do this?!" Cragger asked concerned, really not wanting to be a part of this.

"For Eris we do. We really haven't been that nice to her lately." Laval reminded him. "Because she's gone kooky! I think she hit her head too many times in all those evil jet crashes." Cragger pointed out, still unsure if they should be listening to her.

"Maybe, but nothing works against those glow bones! If Eris thinks we can beat 'em climbing some big ol' icicle, why not give it a try?" Laval pointed out, determined to give her a chance. "Fine." Cragger conceded, admitting Laval had a point, as they carried on climbing. "This won't take too long, right?" he said hopefully, still only halfway up the mountain.

Sometime later, the trio found themselves atop the mountain, they all walk inside and don't find themselves burning because of the ice they're walking on. Cragger screams and gasps in fear, "What?! Standing on Cavora's ICE isn't the same as standing on Cavora!" he tries to defend his actions to Laval, who looks at him with a grin.

"Still worried you'll burst into flames?" he asks smugly, grinning eye to eye. "Just not taking any chances. This is HER dream, not mine." Cragger says nervously before they walk on the ice further in.

"This way, guys," Eris calls out, looking back to see them a bit cautious so she laughs. "Oh, come on! you fraidy-pants don't believe that old rumor about bursting into flames up here, do you? That's just so ridiculous-" she says, before she trips onto Cavora's part that isn't ice and screams, shocking both Cragger and Laval.

"THE FLAMES! BURNING ME FROM THE INSIDE OUT! I'M ABOUT TO BURST!" she screams in agony until her screams turn into laughter, "I'm just kidding." she says as she continues to laugh, dusting herself off.

She turns around, only to see Cragger growl while being held by Laval like a baby. "Ah!..." Laval said with shame, not looking her in the eye as he let Cragger down. "Yeah, I knew that!..." the croc said quickly, in a vain attempt to save face. "Uh... good one, Eris. Almost got us fooled, right Cragger?" Laval told her, awkwardly laughing as he and Cragger stood in place.

"Good one Eris!" a new voice added from behind them, causing Cragger to jump back in Laval's arms. Looking behind them, they say none other than Skales Jr. standing behind them.

"Huh, Junior! What are you doing here?!" they asked surprised, baffled at the young snake's appearance. "I followed you up! It's not like you were inconspicuous!" he answered straight-faced, pointing out how they had been scaling the frozen waterfalls right in the open in the middle of the day!

"You should be here! It's dangerous!" Laval scolded him, worried about what Skales would do if he found out his son had followed them. "Well, I'm here now. So, deal with it!" he said nonchalantly, as he moved onwards.

Eris chuckles as she joins Junior walking off the ice, with Cragger and Laval almost about to do the same. "I-I wasn't worried!" Cragger said worriedly, desperately putting on a brave face. "Ha! Me neither." Laval replied, walking to the edge with hesitation.

"After you!" Cragger told him, offering Laval the way, while he stood back watching. With baited breaths, Laval safely steps off of the ice and walks further down Cavora; having all the proof he needs, Cragger runs to Eris, Laval following.

The four make their way into a secret room with lots of colour and a lot of doors, with intricate, sharp-looking arches lining the place. "Wow. It's the heart of Mount Cavora. Listen..." Eris said, with awe and reverence in her voice, as water was heard underneath Cavora's surface.

"The water that feeds our falls," Laval says with awe, hardly believing he was there. "Eight hallways, eight waterfalls," Cragger added, also filled with awe. "Eight animal head carvings." Laval finishes, the smile on his face never faltering.

Then suddenly from the doors, a series of loud roars could be heard, startling the trio. "What is that?..." Cragger asks, frightened at what he is hearing. "I don't know, but it sounds like..." Laval responds, a sense of excitement swelling within him, as from each of the eight doors one of the legend beasts comes out.

"LEGEND BEASTS!" the trio cries out, while Junior stands behind looking in awe, as they all rush to reunite with their tribe's beast. "I knew we'd see them again! This is one of those times when Chima needs them most! AGAIN!" Laval cries out excitedly, rushing in for a hug before both the Lion and Eagle Beast let out a loud roar and screech respectively.

"Huh? I think they want us to stay back." Eris said disappointed, her wings drooping as she backed away from her beast. "Fine! Whatever they want! as long as no one bursts into flames!" Cragger replies, as the three of them back up, and afterward, the Legend Beasts shoot from their mouths their spirit in a flame-made form that surrounds the three heroes and their unexpected ward.

"Uh... I think I spoke too soon..." Cragger cried out in worry, before he, Laval, and Eris screamed while the flaming Legend Beast spirits took them up to the Phoenix Temple Eris saw on the Crescent, only it was the inside rather than the outside. While outside of Mount Cavora, the tip of the mountain bursts into flames, just like in Eris's dreams.

"Where are we?" Cragger asks, as they all kneel on one knee confused, till Eris immediately gets the idea. "The Phoenix Temple!" she cries out ecstatic, feeling validated after everything she's been through.

"WHAT?!" Cragger and Laval cried out in shock when suddenly a figure appeared before them.

"We've been expecting you." the figure said, in a low and regal voice, that commended both wisdom and strength.

"Huh?" Cragger and Laval let out in surprise, as outside the Phoenix Temple manifests atop the mountain.

Author's Notes:

And the Phoenix rises once again, about time! We've finally reached the Temple and Aspheera begins her move! This chapter was a bit of a drag, but I hope it was enjoyable. Junior was a late addition to the scenes, tell me how they turned out.

For all of you Ninjago fans, I plan to add more from that series in the coming chapters, if you remember Eris's vision you'll have a clue as to one of the new additions. Let's just say I'll be a cool new development!

Like always, don't be shy to leave any suggestions in the comments, and until next time!
