Summoning Jutsu

Smoke billowed out from under my hands before I lifted them to see a dozen snakes slithering below me, each looking at me with hisses as I knelt besides them.

"See that building right there? I need you all to sneak into it and find me the following people." I spoke as I turned the scroll and showed the illustrations of the two targets that were given to me.

All twelve snakes examined the illustrations before they nodded with hisses and burrowed underground, making me smirk as the last one was gone before I looked back up at the tower in front of me.

Made out of a dark stone-like material, it had very few windows and numerous shinobi guarding the perimeter, a shinobi in each window as well as four standing at the top of the tower.

The tower itself was a little less than half the height of those in Amegakure, but it was still tall nonetheless and I didn't want to go into that metal monstrosity without having enough information on where I can find either of my targets.

'I'm so glad I learned the Transparency Jutsu from Sensei.' I thought with a smirk as I laid flat against the ground, the only sign of me being there being the water droplets splashing against my body.

Even that however was barely visible as I had made a rock mount around me as some kind of cover, which helped a lot since there were various dirt mounts around me that didn't make me look out of place.

It was only a few minutes later that I heard the ground opening besides me, looking at the four snakes that poked their heads out from the mud and looked at me.

"What about the other eight?" I asked before shaking my head as all four dropped their heads to the floor, making me realize that the others most likely died during their inspections.

"I understand. So, what do you have to report?"

"Fourteen in the building, seven at the windows, twelve on the perimeter. The male target is on the eight floor and the female on the third." The snake at the front answered and I frowned slightly before nodding and dismissing them back to the Ryuchi cave.

"That reminds me. I really neglected focusing on training with the snakes and genjutsu, which was idiotic considering that this is supposed to be the ultimate doujutsu in existence." I muttered with a frown as I sunk into the ground, taking my time to swim closer while thinking of how I'm going to complete this mission.

'35 people total in the building. Taking out those on the perimeter would get seen by those watching from the windows, taking those out in the windows will be seen by the guys outside and launching an attack from outside would just alert the targets. So, why not do two of the three strategies?' I thought with a smirk as I poked my head out from the ground.

Waiting until I had no one in sight, a pair of clones appeared besides me in the ground before I gestured towards the far sides, the clones nodding as all three of us crawled out of the muddy ground before racing towards the tower.

Leaping up onto the wall, I let the other two clones run forward before slowly making my way towards the first of the windows, standing right beside it as the first guard looked bored while staring out at the muddy ground.

Taking out a kunai and channelling wind chakra through it, the guard gasped as I stabbed him right through the window and through his skull before I sliced it apart, sticking the glass pieces to my hand as they fell down.

Slipping into the tower, I quickly created a clone that copied the shinobi's appearance and took his place while I sealed the original's corpse in a storage scroll.

'I'm on the second floor so I guess it's time to get to work.' I thought to myself as I slowly walked up to the third floor, my kunai still covered in wind chakra as I turned a corner and caught sight of the shinobi keeping watch from the third floor window.

Aiming the kunai, I sent it slicing through the air while rushing in after it with another kunai, the wind sword stabbing through the man's lungs right as I caught his body and stabbed the kunai into his neck.

Spitting out a quick jet of water to wash away the blood along with making another clone to take the guard's place, I was quick to seal the corpse away and turned towards the hallway of the third floor only to freeze at the brown-haired woman staring in shock back at me.

"…G-!" Before she could even shout for the guards, my kunai sliced through her throat and out the back of her neck as I rushed over and caught her body, sealing the body and head away.

'That's one down.' I thought with a frown as I picked up my kunai, deciding to leave the room like this as I turned and began making my way towards the seventh floor.

Sealing away the corpse of the seventh guard and making a clone to take over his post, I frowned as I scanned the hallway in front of me only to frown as I realize that I couldn't see any chakra on this floor.

'Yep, he's definitely hiding somewhere.' Creating a clone with a big puff of smoke, I hid myself with the Transparency Jutsu while walking alongside my clone as the sound of glass shattering echoed down the hallway.

Moments later, the sounds of chaos and explosions outside showed that the clones have started their part of the attack and I slowly stepped away from the clone while he continued to stalk forward, both of us making our way to the main room before he burst through the doors.

In the blink of an eye, my clone founded himself headless and popped as the man dressed in Sunagakure's Jonin uniform with a head-wrap to hide his hair and face narrowed his eyes while lowering his fist that was covered in razor sharp winds.

"Come out! I know you're in here, boy!" Tojuro shouted as he walked in a wide circle around the room, his eyes tracking every little movement as I slowly began walking up the wall while reaching into my pouch.

The man quickly spun to the far wall where I had thrown a kunai before he leapt behind cover as I activated the explosive tag on it, but I grinned as I threw another kunai behind his cover and activated the tag on it.

Expecting it to be an explosion, Tojuro leapt back only to hiss in pain and surprise as the bright flash blinded him, with me creating a clone besides me and handing tags to him as I dropped down on him.

However, Tojuro was still a Jounin as the man rolled away from my drop and corkscrewed in between the barrage of Toad Flame Bombs before the man landed with a glare.

"A child? I expected a Jonin or a team of chunin, but they sent a child?!" The man almost sounded catatonic as he rushed towards me and I weaved through a pair of hand signs before he froze slightly as chakra scalpels covered my hands.

This time, I did not give him time to get ready as I rushed towards him, stabbing at his side only for him to dodge the attack as I watched sharp winds covering his hands.

The next moment, I barely leaned back as his fist sailed past my face before my eyes widened as blood spurted from the small cut that opened on my nose.

'Damnit! Wind Taijutsu, just what I needed.' I grumbled as I leapt backwards slightly, Tojuro and I circling each other slowly as the man looked relaxed while I was tense.

My next move must have surprised him as I quickly activated the flash tag on my back and took off, diving head first through the open window and towards the ground.

However, as I did so, I cursed as Tojuro was already diving after me, a glare in his bloodshot eyes while the winds around his right hand accelerated.

Wind Sword

Fire Style: Toad Flame Bombs

He quickly pulled his hand back before flicking it towards me, but I was already weaving through hand signs and blew out a barrage of flaming oil bombs.

Forcing the man to abandon his attack and barrel-roll around the oil bullets that were boosted by his wind blade, both of us landed on the muddy ground outside the tower with a grunt before I frowned slightly as I saw the numerous corpses lying all around us.

While that would be a good thing, the few men around us that were still standing all frowned as they stared at me and I sighed as I saw Tojuro readying himself before lifting a finger up to the sky.

"Art…!" My clone exclaimed, making everyone take a quick glance up and giving me time to turn back invisible right as he tore his robe off to reveal the numerous explosive tags sticking to his chest.

"Is an EXPLOSION!" The clone roared as I activated the tags, rushing away right as the tower and the surroundings were obscured by a brilliant and powerful explosion.

Watching as the heat of the explosion evaporated the water near it as well as sent the tower crumbling down, I sighed as I waited for the dust to settle, catching my breath and readying myself for clean-up as I still need the head to complete the mission.

However, the moment I went to take a step, I forced my body to lean back right as a kick missed my head, spinning around only to stare in shock at Tojuro as he turned towards me with a snarl while half of his body were covered in severe burns.

It looked as if his shirt and pants had been melted to his right side as he walked towards me, but it seems that adrenaline was the only thing keeping him moving as wind gathered around the man's hands before he blitzed towards me once more.

'Don't get hit. Don't get hit.' I repeated that to myself over and over as I ducked and moved around the man's attacks, not even daring to touch or block a single blow after seeing how a punch Tojuro missed sliced a deep crevice into the ground.

Reaching out and grabbing the man's left arm as he swung too wide and missed a jab, I pulled him closer while only narrowly dodging the uppercut aimed at my heart with a shallow cut across my chest.

However, I didn't waste any time as I pulled a kunai from my pouch and stabbed into his left armpit, pulling it out and ducking under the right fist while slicing open his inner thigh.

Blood poured out profusely from the wound as I spun the kunai in a reverse grip and leapt over his arm swinging out with a spin, the man easily dodging the slice I aimed at his wrist.

Lifting his leg, I only had a brief moment to cross my arms in front of me before I was sent flying back from a stomp, rolling across the ground and flipped to my feet.

Tojuro however didn't pursue the opening and instead held a hand to his bleeding armpit, both of us frowning at the other as I took out another kunai while he tore off his headwrap and tied off his bleeding wound.

"I'll be damned if I lose to a fucking kid!" The man growled and surprised me as he weaved through one handed seals before both his working hand and his feet were covered in swirling winds.

"Then I guess I'll be the one to send you to hell." I spoke with a smirk as I took out another kunai before blowing on both, Tojuro's frown deepening as both kunai were covered in a swirling green wind while I spun one in a reverse grip.

A tense silence hung in the air as the two of us glared at each other, neither making a move while the rain poured around us.

However, as a singular droplet sailed past my face, Tojuro was gone and besides me with a kick already aimed at for my legs, which I quickly jumped back over before lunging at him the moment I landed.

Blocking the kick he threw at my side as I stopped in front of him, I swung at his other leg and forced him to jump out of the way, the man flipping over my second swing as I rushed after him with both held out to the sides.

My arms were a blur as I rapidly swung at his limbs, the ear-piercing screech of wind against wind shaking the air as the man was still able to block my attacks despite the severe injuries he had.

Aiming a kick at my leg, I was quick to lift it up only for the attack to be a feint as the man stomped on the ground and brought his other leg around for a kick to my unguarded side.

However, instead of blocking the kick with both hands, chakra flooded to both my stomach and my legs as I leapt back while weaving through hand signs, taking a deep breath as his foot went just barely passed me right as I spat out a flurry of flaming oil bombs into his chest.

My plan unfortunately was not entirely perfect and I hissed as I leapt back when he managed to graze my side with his kick, placing a hand to my side to stop the bleeding before letting out a sigh of relief as I began to heal the damage.

Looking back at Tojuro, I was not displeased to see the man lying on his back with his entire chest covered in burns, his skin having melted away and revealing his muscles twitching and spurting blood with each breath he took.

Taking out the last of my kunai from my pouch, the man was dead a second later as I threw it and stabbed through his neck, walking over and slicing off his head before sealing his head and body into the same scroll I had Anari's head and body.

'Hah, my first win against an actual Jonin. Man, this shit was tough.' Even with my meticulous planning, it still took a shit ton out of me to just get the man weak enough to where I could take him on without risking loss of limb or life.

Even with the Rinnegan and the numerous jutsu under my belt, it was still an even fight that was just in my favour and while I know the man was a Jonin, I was supposed to be the 'Second Coming of the Sage of Six Paths'.

'Right now, I'm not living up to that title and I can't train senjutsu right now so I guess it's time for the next best thing. Time to become Sosuke Aizen 2.0.'

"Damn, was it that bad?"

"Yahiko, no bad words." Konan scolded as she smacked the back of his head, to which he grumbled while I nodded with a sigh and continued to relax in my chair.

"Yeah, it was a Jounin."

"…Doesn't that mean your mission was an S-Rank? No wonder you look like you're about to pass out any second." Yahiko said with a look of concern, which I waved off while rubbing Sessho's head as he laid it on my lap.

"Don't worry about me. Most of my wounds are healed and my chakra is replenishing. It's more the mental exhaustion I'm suffering from than physical."

"I can understand considering you had to fight against a Jonin. Did you at least win this time or was it another draw?" He asked before grinning as I snorted and gave a thumbs-up.

"Won. His head was delivered to the person who ordered the mission and we got paid 2 million."

"…Two milion?" Konan repeated the phrase as if she couldn't comprehend what I just said, Yahiko looking just as shocked as I nodded while pulling out the money scroll with a grin.

"Yep, two million. Turns out foreign Jounin fetch a very high penny, especially if you deliver them with their bodies still mostly in tact."

"…Damn, and here I thought our day of taking out a couple of genin from Iwa would be more entertaining. Next time, we're taking the A-Rank and you the C-Rank."

"By all means. Now! I'm tired and it's been an exhausting day." I muttered and they nodded as I stood up, Sessho following after me as I walked to my room before falling face first onto the bed the moment I caught sight of it.

'I think I've had enough missions with fighting for now.' I thought with a tired smirk as I laid in bed and it didn't take long before I felt myself being whisked off to the land of the sleeping.

Hopefully, the next mission is far easier.

A/N: You just had to jinx it, huh Nagato?

Anyway, I've figured out the next arc: Escort a Snob.

You can already guess what type of mission it's going to be from the title.

Anyway, Nagato finally got his first win against a Jonin, even if he made sure the odds were heavily stacked in his favour.

A win is a win.

Also, the reason today's chapters were so short is because I'm tired as hell so I think just a good night's sleep and I'm going to check out the chapters tomorrow to see if I can't expand more on each one.

Like always, you can go to my Pat-reon-.-com-/-KingCrimsonNova to read ahead on this as well as many other stories & even some that haven't been released out to this site yet. If you want to, you are free to, but if you don't want, all's good as I will still be uploading here. This is just me trying to get some extra cash.

Anyway, as always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one...
