Chapter 12: Rise of the Black Arms Part 3

*The Last Way - Shadow the Hedgehog*

Caleb along with Veemon, S. Mew, Mario, and Shadow are rushing through the Black Comet. They landed on a reddish rail before sliding there.

Eggman:(Through communicator.)Can you hear me, Shadow? He's gotta be on the inside!

Sonic:(Through communicator.)Use Chaos Control to make your way inside!

Tails:(Through communicator.)Shadow, I believe in you! You and the others can do it!

Knuckles:(Through communicator.)Don't you dare give up!

Amy:(Through communicator.)Please, hurry!

Rouge:(Through communicator.)You guys are strong enough! I know you are!

The group manages to slide through the rail, going through the corridors, and defeating Black Arms and Heartless alike. Shadow had to ride a Black Volt, Veemon Digivolves to GoldVeedramon, allowing Caleb and Mario to ride the Digimon, taking flight through a corridor within a void, while S. Mew advances by floating and they were defeating enemies. Later, in the ground corridors, they continued on feet while GoldVeedramon reverts back to Veemon. Also, they had to avoid the Alien Gunships as they were advancing. More enemies were appearing, but they've manage to defeat them all before they keep going.

Caleb: Come on! Just a bit more!

They keep going until they find Black Doom.

*Stop Music*

Shadow: There he is! I've found him! Prepare yourself, Black Doom!

Black Doom: Well done, Shadow. You, Caleb with his two pets, and your plumber friend have gone farther than I expected. I am impressed. You still don't understand, do you? The future I offer is the only way to save humans.

Caleb: Shut up! You're not gonna have your way!

Black Doom: Don't you know it, Caleb? Shadow was created from my blood.

Mario: What?

Shadow: We've had enough from you! You're boring me to death, Black Doom! You're going down!

Black Doom: Heheheheheh…Such bravado from a hedgehog and such bravery from a human boy. I thought you were different. Maybe not. We are more alike than you think…The same blood runs through our veins

Caleb:(Gasps)Huh?

Shadow: This can't be! Just who are you?

*Shaded Truths*

Shadow tried to walk towards Black Doom. Suddenly, he was forced to kneel to the ground.

Caleb: Shadow! What have you done to him?

Black Doom: Don't you know? Shadow was created from my blood.

Mario, Caleb, Veemon, & Shadow: WHAT?

Black Doom: That's right. Shadow, you are a part of me. Do you feel that? I can control you. You cannot escape me, nor can you escape your past!

Black Doom laughs evilly while Caleb, Veemon, S. Mew, and Mario glares at Black Doom.

Shadow: Damn you! No! It's not true!

*Innocent Times*

Now meanwhile, in the Space Colony ARK, in the computer room, Team Chaotix was there where Espio was typing the keyboard.

Charmy: Espio…Are you in yet?

Before Charmy could insist some more, Vector held him back with his hand as Charmy was releasing muffled grunting noises.

Vector: Quiet, Charmy! Espio, we need you to focus! Because if we don't hurry, all the data we recovered will be lost!

Espio: Easier said than done…Who signed me up for this anyway?

Then Charmy flew backwards, reaching his limit of patience.

Charmy: That's it! I'll do it! Get outta the way!

Vector: Get back here, you idiot!

But too late, as Charmy bombards his own stinger and hits the computer and then the monitor was starting to work.

Espio, Vector, & Charmy: Hey, it's working!

*Stop Music*

Then a man similar to Eggman, but older and wearing a white scientist coat appears on the monitor's screen. Now back with Shadow and the others.

?: Shadow, my son!

Shadow: Professor?

Black Doom: What is this?

Then many screens appeared, showing the elderly man.

Scientist: If you're listening to this, then the worst has happened. You need to know the truth. The government plans to shut down this research facility. The government plans to cease all of our research and imprison all who know about you. I've made a terrible mistake, Shadow. It's all my fault, making contact with that comet. Now listen carefully…

In the Black Comet, the rest of the group manages to move again and they've managed to defeat several enemy troops.

Scientist: In 50 years, the Black Comet will return and plan to harness it's power to destroy this planet. The only way to stop them was to develop a way to use the very power they intended to use against them.

Rei: Who was that?

Eggman: That's Gerald Robotnik. Shadow's creator and my grandfather. Develop a way to use the very power against them? That's brilliant!

Luke: Caleb, you're listening to this, aren't you?

Now back with Shadow and the others, they are listening to Gerald's words.

Gerald: Shadow, it's up to you. Only you can stop Black Doom and his army. I've developed the Eclipse Cannon. It's the only weapon that can destroy the Black Comet. Shadow…You are the only hope to save mankind as we know it. The future of this planet depends on you.

Then the girl from Shadow's flashbacks appeared. Maria precisely.

Maria: Don't worry, Grandfather. Shadow and I will protect this planet. Right, Shadow?

Black Doom: Heheheheheh...Gerald, you fool! Shadow is already under my control!

Then the screens disappeared.

Caleb: Ha! Wanna bet it?

Black Doom: That's a foolish bet.

*Courage - Kingdom Hearts II*

But then Shadow manages to release himself from Black Doom's control.

Black Doom: What is this? How did you break free from my control?

Shadow: You have no control over me, Black Doom. I understand why I'm here. I made a promise to Maria and intend to keep it. Today, I put my past behind me!

He charges at Black Doom, but he disappears.

Caleb: Come back here and fight us, you coward!

Black Doom: So be it! Be prepared to meet your maker! Your past, present, and future ends here TODAY! Now you will suffer my true wrath!

Then Caleb turns to his Pokemon, Digimon, the red plumber, and the black hedgehog.

Mario: Let's-a go!

Then Mario pulls out a cap with two wings on both sides, becoming Winged Mario.

Caleb: Let's end this together!

Veemon: You betcha!

Then Caleb and his Digimon glows.

Veemon: Veemon Biomerge to...ULFORCEVEEDRAMON!

Caleb merges with Veemon and they Digivolved into a much larger version of Veemon who looks like a draconic knight with a golden V-shaped crest on his chest and wields a light blue energy blade on his right gauntlet.

Mario: Wow…

Shadow: Impressive.

Then the black hedgehog uses the Chaos Emeralds to become a golden version of himself called Super Shadow and then he along with UlforceVeedramon, S. Mew, and Winged Mario flew outside the comet and above the city to fight against Black Doom who is now a giant winged monster with two-sided heads. He is now known as Devil Doom.

Caleb:(Inside his Digimon.)It's my first time seeing Black Doom in that form.

Meanwhile, in Station Square, Luke's group manages to escape, knowing that the Eclipse Cannon will destroy the Black Comet.

Aria: Please, Caleb. You must win this one.

*I Am…All of Me - Devil Doom Ver. - Shadow the Hedgehog*

Now in the skies, Super Shadow along with UlforceVeedramon and Winged Mario are facing Devil Doom.

Devil Doom: I gave you life and yet you still defy me! Very well! I will end you four!

UlforceVeedramon: Prepare to meet your end!

S. Mew: Mew!

Shadow: Let's finish this, Black Doom!

Devil Doom fires lasers at the four heroes who dodges them and UlforceVeedramon uses Dragon Impulse X which he is covered by a draconic aura and charges through Devil Doom's eye, followed by Shadow firing Chaos Lances, S. Mew using Psychic, and Mario casting Firaga. Then Devil Doom disappears and reappears while levitating buildings and sends them at the trio who destroys the buildings. Shadow shoots Chaos Spears at Devil Doom's eyes, Mario casts Blizzaga at Devil Doom's eye, UlforceVeedramon uses Victory Blade to extend a blade from his right wrist, while S. Mew uses Psycho Cut to slash Devil Doom's eye who retaliates by breathing fire at the four, but they've dodged the flames. Shadow uses Chaos Spear, Mario slashes Devil Doom's eye, while UlforceVeedramon uses Victory Sword, but raises his sword before swinging and firing sword beams. Then Devil Doom disappears and reappears before firing more lasers and then breathing fire, but UlforceVeedramon uses Tensegrity Shield to summon a barrier to block the attack and uses Ray of Victory which he fires a V-shaped energy beam from his chest, Shadow uses Chaos Lance, while Mario performs Strike Raid.

Devil Doom: Curse you, fools!

Devil Doom then unleashes walls of energy around him, but UlforceVeedramon uses Victory Sword to slice the debris and then slashes Devil Doom's eye, Mario casts Thundaga, while S. Mew uses Thunder. Shadow uses Spear of Light which is an upgraded version of Chaos Lance, but Devil Doom disappears and reappears and levitates buildings and sends them to strike the trio, but they've destroy the buildings. Shadow shoots three Chaos Spears, UlforceVeedramon delivers five slashes, S. Mew uses Metronome which came as Aeroblast as he unleashes a horizontal tornado blast, while Mario uses Flowmotion to dodge and advance across the debris. UlforceVeedramon uses Dragon Impulse X while Mario uses his Flame Salvo Shotlock, causing massive damage. Then Devil Doom breathes fire at the trio who dodges the flames and Shadow shoots a giant Chaos Spear while UlforceVeedramon uses Ray of Victory, but Devil Doom retaliates by unleashing barriers around him for protection. Then Shadow uses Chaos Blast to create a giant explosion, dealing excellent damage, UlforceVeedramon uses Victory Sword, spinning like a drill, while Mario performs Ragnarok, hitting Devil Doom many times, and unleashing lasers to strike the two eyes.

Caleb:(Inside UlforceVeedramon.)Just a bit more!

Shadow: Let's finish this!

Devil Doom: I will end you both and reign this miserable world! Your light will be snuffed out!

Devil Doom breathes massive flames at the trio who dodges out of the way and UlforceVeedramon delivers seven slashes while Shadow unleashes many Spears of Light, followed by using Chaos Blast. Mario uses his Meteor Shower Shotlock, S. Mew uses Hyper Beam, and for the finishing touch, the Mega Level Digimon uses Ray of Victory and finishes off Devil Doom.

Devil Doom: Im...Impossible! I am the supreme being that rules this universe! I am the immortal lifeform! I am the ultimate power! Gaaaaah!

*Stop Music*

Just after saying his last words, Devil Doom falls to his death.

Shadow: This is the end of you! And the end of my cursed past!

UlforceVeedramon: Now how are we going to destroy the Black Comet?

Shadow: Leave it to me.

Then Super Shadow took flight before holding the Black Comet from below with both of his hands.

Shadow: Chaos Control!

Then in a flash, the Black Comet was teleported away. The Black Comet appears back in space and the ARK's Eclipse Cannon starts to charge green energy before firing a huge beam which destroys the Black Comet completely, ending the menace of the Black Arms once and for all.

*Peaceful Hearts*

Now back in the city, S. Mew and UlforceVeedramon lands in the ground. Also, UlforceVeedramon reverts back into Caleb and Veemon. Mario and Shadow also lands and reverts back to their regular forms.

Caleb: Black Doom was finally defeated and the Black Comet was destroyed too.

Caeli: Yippee!

Kibou: Yay!

Aria: You were amazing!

Then Aria hugs Caleb tightly.

Tails: Yeah, Shadow did it! The Black Comet's destroyed!

Sonic: Shadow, that was sweet!

Rogue: I see you're OK.

Shadow: Well, I am Shadow.

Then they turned to see the boy who watched the Black Comet previously.

Boy: Hey, you guys!

Tails: It's Chris Thorndyke!

Chris: I saw the Black Comet appearing. Where is it now?

Shadow: The Black Comet was destroyed.

Chris: So what are your names?

After the introductions, Eggman and his two robots were sneaking away.

Decoe: Well, we won.

Bocoe: We're back in business.

Eggman: Now how about getting those Chaos Emeralds?

Knuckles: Hey! Get back here, you creeps!

Knuckles starts to chase after Eggman and his two robots while the others laughed. Shadow only watches the scene with amusement.

Caleb: Clearly, I remember when Black Doom said that the Black Arms will rise again.

Rei: But he and the Black Arms went down and now they are completely gone.

Then the Aether Team had another flashback. This time, it is about them with the ancient versions of Sonic and Shadow facing Black Doom who was collapsed on the ground.

Black Doom: Aether Team, this isn't over yet! The Black Arms will rise again!

Caleb: And we'll be ready to defeat them again while defending our homeworld!

Then the flashback ends as the Aether Team came back to the present.

Chris: Hey, guys. Is something wrong?

Caleb: We just got a memory from the past.

*Stop Music*

Suddenly, a Keyhole appears which was then sealed by Mario who uses his Keyblade.

Amy: What was that?

Sara: We have to go.

Chris: Oh man. I was wishing for you guys to spend more time here.

Luke: We're really sorry, but we need to leave this world.

Abby: But later, we'll come back when we can.

The group says good-byes to Sonic's group, even Knuckles who came back. Meanwhile, Eggman along with Decoe and Bocoe watches Mario and the Aether Team departing before contacting Ganondorf.

Ganondorf: So, what is this time, Eggman?

Eggman: The Black Comet was destroyed which means that I let them do most of the work to get rid of the threat.

Ganondorf: I see. I'll see how far they can go.

An enemy force is gone, plus one Keyhole was sealed, and the world is saved. But there is still more work to do.
