I am not pumping out hundreds of chapters, but I AM miles better at not deleting them... so proud.
This chapter is just a set up, they won't all be this short. I am just figuring things out.
Ren almost squeed as he easily managed to pass the stupid genin exam. Even the all too difficult Clone jutsu, he just made extra clones and boom he successfully passed.
"Good work, Ren." Iruka cheered, a dull sound to Ren who hated the man for treating him so poorly over the years. Him and Naruto both.
"Thanks sensei. " He managed to reply back, before hurrying away with his headband, not even looking in Naruto's direction as he bolted out of the school and made his way to the library. After flashing his headband, he all but dived into the kenjutsu section.
For as long as he could remember, he loved the notion of being a kenjutsu master. Why? 'The Uzumaki clan, famed for their skills with seals as well as regularly holding fast in Kenjutsu battles.' He had read that line a hundred times after being introduced to it in the Academy. Nothing made him want the powers of his bloodline more. He bought himself a katana just a month ago, but never used it without having katas to use.
So, within twenty minutes he had three things taken from the libary.
Kenjutsu Basics, Advanced Leaf Style Taijutsu, Body Flicker Basics.
Armed and ready, he hurried to his apartment, ready to read and give himself the skills he need to become all he wanted to be.
Having two and a half days to become better, to wait until he got his own sensei, Ren got to work and spent every minute training to be all he could be...
Determined to show the world that he too mattered.
