The Dragon Hero Dovahkiin

Chapter 45: Dragon Break Aftermath

After the wave of dragons attacked UA were defeated, everybody finally had the time to process what the fuck just happened. Normally they would have freaked out during what was known as a dragon break. But thanks to years of experience and training, Most of the heroes were able to hold back their much-deserved and quite understandable freak out. Unfortunately for Izuku, Rumi and Ryuko's well-deserved freak out had to be put on the back burner yet again. Due to some dragons attacking nearby cities. Izuku and Ryuko were together under a guise of Izuku being on an internship. The two flew across Japan, dealing with these dragons while Rumi hit nearby towns and cities that she could reach on foot. It took several hours of killing dragons left and right for the dragons to finally get the message to back off and flee. Which they did and headed into Japan's various mountain ranges to regroup with other dragons.

But this wasn't just localized in Japan. The entire world had fucking dragons everywhere. Causing a Global panic that has never been seen since the dawn of quirks. A lot of Heroes had died to the dragons all across the world, and if it wasn't for top-ranking Heroes like Stars and Stripes. There would have been a lot more damage and a lot more casualties than normal. But luckily for the heroes, only the younger and inexperienced dragons were the ones to attack and the older and wiser of the dragons immediately went into hiding. Which was not just noticed by Izuku but by various other heroes as well. Since this was a global threat, Nezu, along with various other top-ranking heroes across the world, as well as the president of the HPSC, and Izuku, had gathered in a meeting to discuss what happened. Although All Might wasn't here for various reasons. After everybody took their seats at the table in the conference room that they were meeting in, The president of the HPSC spoke up.

"Thank you for all of you for coming. Now before we start, I would like to ask you Nezu, for what reason did you bring one of your students from UA to this meeting?" The president of the HPSC asked with an air of nervousness that was well masked by her calm and stoic demeanor. She had gotten reports from her agents and spies about this young man and his three companions. All had been confirmed quirkless and yet had powers beyond measure. She did not know the source of his power. But the fact that Nezu was somehow a part of all this surrounding the boy unnerved her.

"Ah yes, I have brought young Midoria to this meeting because he is the most knowledgeable about these dragons than anyone else on this planet. He's also one of the very few people who can permanently put them down. He was also partially the reason why the dragons appeared in the first place." Nezu said in a serious tone, that made everybody's eyes go wide in shock.

"What do you mean he's the only one who can permanently put them down. Are you telling me the dragons we killed are going to come back to life? Also, how were you somehow partly responsible for the dragons showing up in the first place?" Stars and Stripes asked shocked. If these dragons can come back to life, she needed to go back to the US pronto.

"Yes they can, but only under two circumstances. One, a person with knowledge equivalent to a master in restoration Magic uses advanced healing spells to close up the wounds. Or Another Dragon comes along and revives their fallen comrade. Only somebody like me who is a Dragonborn could permanently put one down. But don't worry; the only people on the planet with mastery over restoration magic is me, and a trusted colleague of mine. Additionally, it will be a long time before the dragons return to revive their slain kin." Izuku said in a dead serious but comforting tone.

This eased the nerves of stars and stripes a bit, as well as various other heroes in the room. But two things had stood out from what he said, which she decided to make known.

"First what do you mean somebody with a knowledge of restoration Magic? Are you telling me magic is somehow real and you are apparently a master of this skill? And second, what is a Dragonborn and how are you one? And lastly, you still haven't answered my question on how you Were Somehow Partly responsible for the dragons appearing in the first place." Stars and Stripes asked confused.

During the dragon break, she had talked to her older self. Her older self told her to trust the kid in front of her for some damn reason which she refused to tell her. Although she could understand why. Apparently, to prevent further damage due to the butterfly effect, her future self was limited to what she could say. This did not mean that she was going to take everything that the kids said at face value.

"To your first question. Yes, I can assure you magic is quite real, as for what restoration magic is, Restoration magic is Magic that evolves around the Healing Arts, as well as Defensive Arts, such as barriers and wards. I am a master of not just restoration but pretty much every subject of magic that there is. Although one of my companions is more skilled in conjuration And the Illusionary Arts than I am due to her being a specialist in those two fields. As for your second question, a Dragonborn is a being that has the blood and the soul of a dragon and has been blessed by an entity called Akatosh. As for my part in the dragonbreak, when I was unconscious due to my fight with All Might, who went on a rampage. Sir Nighteye decided it was a good idea to use his Quirk on me without my or Nezu's consent. The combination between his quirk and my status as Dragonborn got the attention of Akatosh, which is not a good thing. You see Akatosh is an entity that has the power over time itself. But for him to stay in control of his power. He needs to maintain a constant focus on the timestream. If that focus is broken, time ceases to function and everything starts happening at once. And things from the future and the past end up in the present causing a dragon break. There's also the fact that when a dragonbreak happens, Akatosh's soul is shattered and those pieces are turned into the dragons that we are facing now." Izuku said, causing everybody to look at him in a bit of shock and disbelief.

"Wait just a fucking minute. This is sounding like one of the books I just read. It's called the tale of the Dragonborn." Hawks, the number three hero of Japan, said completely confused.

"So you had read my autobiography?" Izuku asked with a smile on his face, which shocked Hawks even further.

"What do you mean, are you telling me that's your life story? I thought it was some type of isekai Story?" Hawks Asked completely in disbelief.

Then again, the book did seem autobiographical to the point that hawks questioned if the writer actually experienced what he was writing. It was why he thought it was one of the best isekai books ever written. But still to figure out that actually happened and now the man who literally saved an entire world three times over is standing in front of him was quite a shock.

"Ahh, what book are you talking about?" Epsilon Red, the number one hero of Russia, asked confused.

"Oh, I wrote a book of my life's account and published it. It's currently one of the best sellers in Japan at the moment. It's also making its way into the US. I wrote it to not just make a little extra money, but when I revealed the existence of magic and the fact anyone could actually learn such a skill, that people would be more open-minded. I've been working with Nezu for a while now and have taught several of his first-year students in the art of magic already. As well as various other skills. Our original plan before the shit hit the fan was to reveal this to the public during the UA sports festival. Which we still plan on doing." Izuku said completely calm and seriously, which shocked the group. He then started to hand out copies of his book that he got from a chest that he summoned, which surprised the group even more.

"You expect me to believe that magic is real and that anyone can learn this skill. Please don't make me laugh." The president of the HPSC said in a condescending tone.

But in reality she was quite nervous. She was passed out in her chair due to a long day of doing paperwork when the dragon break happened. So she did not experience it first hand. But she too had read the book, especially since it was tied to the boy that had blackmailed her and the HPSC to get Lady Nagant out of jail. If the boy truly could teach other people this magic, the hero system as they know it would completely be changed forever. This is something that she could not tolerate and she was going to need to take certain steps to deal with it, but first she needed to convince all the heroes around her to not take the boy seriously.

"Oh, it is quite real and I have an abundance of proof that it is." Izuku said as he started passing around a thick vanilla folder, full to the brim with said evidence.

The evidence that was presented contained all the official reports as well as the unofficial reports of everything he did during his time back in his home dimension. The majority of it was what the police had investigated, but some of it was Nezu's own investigations. Medical reports were also done by several medical professionals proving that he and his companions were indeed quirkless. Most of it was police reports that had been kept off the official record thanks to Nezu and Detective Tsukauchi. It was a lucky thing too since Izuku and his group were quite the trouble magnets. There was even video evidence of him in action during the USJ, as well as a detailed report.

After everybody looked through the evidence, everybody in the room had no choice but to accept it as the truth. The president of the HPSC was internally raging at the large amount of evidence that they had. Which made convincing the other heroes in the room that any of it wasn't true, nearly impossible. But she still had to try, but before she could speak up and attempt to sway the other Heroes to not believe him. Izuku spoke up again.

"Now that my legitimacy on this subject is verified, we should return to the reason why we came to this meeting in the first place. Now the dragons you have fought so far are the weakest out of the whole lot due to them being the youngest. As you probably noticed the second that dragons appeared, a large amount of them flew off and didn't attack anything. They are the older dragons ones with enough experience to realize that they were not in a quite good situation and they needed to regroup. You should know that the older the dragon, the more powerful and the more experience it has. You can tell by the age of the dragon by the thickness of their scales, and the more elaborate their scale pattern is. Now knowing the dragons as I do, there are most likely going to attempt to build their own army of followers after seeing the might of Our Heroes and the large population that we have. In the past, they have gotten worshipers to do they're bidding. These worshipers were given some knowledge of what is called the Thu'um or Shouts." Izuku said as he looked around the room. Seeing that he still had everybody's attention, he took a deep breath and continued.

"The Thu'um is the ability to shape reality by speaking the language of the dragons, in combination with projecting one's soul. For somebody who is not a Dragonborn, it could take months, maybe years, to learn one single word. But one word of the Thu'um is strong enough to make a difference in a fight against them. It is also possible they may learn some magic as well, but they will be at an Novice or Apprentice level at best. Since dragons are not really experienced in the art of magic. But even those levels of magic would make them quite a threat due to Magic being a very Versatile Skill. It's similar to somebody who has various week or mid-tier quirks. Each quirk on its own is not very powerful. But the combination of quirks and the sheer versatility gives them way more options to defeat their opponent. Now to combat this, I am willing to accept hero students from various countries that I deem Worthy to teach them the art of magic. I will Also teach any hero that I also deem Worthy, Magic as well." Izuku said calmly. Causing everybody to take a moment to absorb the information that he presented to them. The heroes did not like what he had to say, mostly because it was bad news. But his idea of combating this enemy by teaching them magic was something that interested them greatly. But there was a question that Stars and Stripes had that she decided to make known.

"First how would you determine that somebody is worthy to learn magic? And second, how would you teach them? The fact is that you're only one person and you're already teaching UA's first-year students. So I doubt you have time for more people. "Stars and Stripes ask Frowning a bit.

"To your first question, we will be using a combination of spells to determine somebody's worthiness. The first spell would be a Truth Spell making anybody within a certain area unable to lie. The second spell would be a compulsion spell that forces somebody to speak when asked a question. The next spell would be a soul spell to look to see somebody's alignment. This is all necessary to prevent somebody from misusing Magic. As your second question, you're right, I won't be able to teach all those people by myself. Luckily for us, during the dragon break, the College of Winterhold, which is a school of magic I used to run, ended up teleporting here along with its inhabitants. Along with several experienced teachers in the art of magic, and as well as a group of Experience Warriors who are experienced in killing dragons. I am working with Nezu at the moment to see if I can get them hero licenses. For now, they are helping in training some of the students at UA." Izuku said causing everybody to nod their head at his idea. Nezu seeing everybody in agreement of the solution spoke up.

"Good, now we should move on to the next subject. It's obvious the public is going to need to know something. But we must be careful of not revealing magic too early. I believe punishing Sir Nighteye and explaining that he used his quirk without authorization or consent of myself and the intended victim should be a proper explanation. We can spin it in a way that due to a combination of his quirk and his victim circumstance, which we will not be revealing for security reasons. Cause Sir Nighteye's quirk to overload and burn itself out. And due to this overload, time was somehow affected. And when everything returned to normal, some things from the past and future ended up in the present. We could use this explanation to explain why dragons are here." Nezu said, and when everybody nodded their heads in agreement, he continued.

"Good, now that everybody is in agreement on our solution. We should let you get back to your various countries so you may protect them. In the meantime, I recommend after the UA Festival you come up with a list of candidates for learning magic and send them our way so they may be seen if they're Worthy. And if they are, they will start their training. I will also come up with some strategies to take out these dragons more efficiently. And when they are fleshed out I will send them your way." Nezu said as he sipped a cup of tea that he got out of nowhere. This made various people in the room question how he got the tea, since he did not come in with it, and nobody gave it to him. Deciding to not question it, everybody got out of their seats and made their way out of the room.

UA The Next Day

Mirio Togata, A Third-year hero student, was Furious. First, the chance of getting OFA was denied to him due to him already having a quirk. Which was a frustration all in its own right, since he was groomed for years to take that power for himself and become the next All Might. But that wouldn't stop him from being the hero that he wanted. To be honest he knew that extra power wasn't really needed and it would only be a boon. Hell if he somehow became quirkless overnight he knew that there was no way in hell that was going to stop him from becoming a hero. There were plenty of Heroes that had no combat quirk and had become excellent heroes in their own right, his old Sensei now turned criminal, being one of them. Which brings him to his second frustration, his mentor Sir Nighteye was not just blind (making him pretty much quirkless) but was arrested for unauthorized use of his quirk on a civilian. Which caused the dragonbreak in the first place. This made him pissed, he admired the man deeply and to see him Blatantly violate somebody's rights like that really pissed him off. It didn't help when he asked him why he did it, that The man refused to answer him. Especially since he did not look repentant at all, just a little scared. Which he chalked up to him being now blind. He only hopes that he would be punished for his actions. And for this anger for the man who had betrayed everything that he was taught a hero should be, would eventually disappear. But he knew it wasn't going to disappear anytime soon, especially when that anger is compounded by the trauma and frustration that he was currently feeling. And that was mostly because during the time of the Dragon break he was brought to the Past. And had to fight a fucking dinosaur long enough for the dragon break to end. Which made him so injured that he was now in Recovery girl's office. It doesn't help that now he has a phobia of fucking dinosaurs. Luckily the bastards are extinct, and that the dragons currently flying around aren't triggering such a phobia.

Now, because of all of this, he was not just missing out on training but had no one to train him to get stronger. Some people would have thought he would blame everything on Izuku, but he knew he had nothing to do with it. He just wished that these chains of events had never happened. His angry thoughts were cut off by the door of the nurse's office opening, revealing Nejire Hado, his classmate, who had a broken arm. His classmate had somehow been sent so far into the future where she was on board a spaceship that was being attacked by space pirates. She helped fight them off and got injured in the process. She also found out that apparently she was going to be one of the greatest heroes in the world, that even so far into the future they remembered her. His thoughts were cut off by the voice of Nejire who spoke up in an excited tone.

"Mirio, Mirio, guess what, guess what. I'm going to be tested into a new program that Nezu was doing for the first years. He's also thinking of adding you too. I don't know what the program is, but he said it's going to be revealed at the first year's sports festival. Oh, oh, did you know that Ryukyu is also going to be getting a new intern. She told me that he was really really strong, which means I'm going to have the coolest partner after the sports festival. I also asked her if she could take you under her wing, *Giggle* Get it, wing, because she's a dragon. Back to what I was saying though, she's pretty okay with the idea. So when you're all healed up, we're most likely all going to be a lot stronger before the year is out." Nejire said excitedly and with enough energy that she could probably power the entire room.

"That's great news, Nejire, thanks for asking Ryukyu to take me as her intern. Just you wait, once I'm out of this hospital room and all healed up, we're going to be awesome." Mirio says, his smile returning. He's glad that his friend was looking out for him. And hope that Ryukyu would make him stronger so he could reach his dream.
