Colonel Jack O'Neill had just wandered into the control room where Major Carter and her father, Tok'ra liaison, General Carter, were talking before he returned to the Tok'ra base when the Stargate began to move. Major Carter immediately took a seat and checked the system. "We have no one scheduled for return at this time, Sir." She reported, as the Stargate splashed open and the protective iris spiraled into place. "But we are getting a signal, it's not on any known frequency, but we can handle it."
"Put it on speaker, let's see who wants to talk to us." He leaned over the back of her seat and watched her run an analysis of the incoming message before putting it on speaker.
"Calling Stargate Command, this is Alexander Harris of the Scoobies. We are formerly requesting assistance. Don't worry, it's not the end of the world." O'Neill laughed, he couldn't help it, the kid had a sense of humor just like his.
"The Scoobies?" Jacob asked. "As in the cartoon?"
"Yep." Jack nodded. "We had a little cross reality hiccup a couple days ago. A couple civilians from another reality were testing a method of travel similar to our Stargate and our wormhole and their's did a funny little dance. Teal'c and Daniel ended up in their reality and the Scoobies were the team that escorted them back and retrieved their people. They were under fire by Bastet's forces from the moment they set foot on the planet. Six people, four of whom engaged the enemy. Teal'c declared that in less then two minutes those four took out maybe a third of the attacking forces, which numbered somewhere between five and six hundred total. They're involved in their own defense of their Earth from an invading force."
"Goa'uld?"
"Nope, they've never heard of the Goa'uld."
"They're waiting for an answer, Sir."
"Tell them they can come through." General Hammond's voice came from behind them. "We'll hear their request. It would have to be something big for them to go to the trouble of contacting another reality."
"Yes, Sir." Major Carter sent the signal and a moment later three teenagers stepped out of the wormhole.
"They're kids!" Jacob exclaimed.
"None older then seventeen." Jack acknowledged. "The tiny blond was drafted to fight their enemy, something that pisses her mother off big time, the rest of the Scoobies are volunteers and this one group has succeeded in wiping out a large portion of their enemy single handedly."
"How long have they been fighting?"
"They didn't tell us much, they had a crisis they were dealing with and had to get back. Their request might have something to do with it."
"Did they say anything about their crisis, any details?"
"That if they failed, the world would end. I don't think they were joking."
"We weren't." Xander stated, as the three were escorted into the room. "General, Colonel, Major, it's nice to see you all again, though I honestly didn't think we would, but you might just be able to help us with our problem."
"Xan," the little blond murmured. "the old guy's different."
"Old guy?" Jacob muttered. "I'm not that old. I'm General Jacob Carter."
"He's Earth's liaison to a group of allies." General Hammond explained. "He's just about to leave and then we can go to the conference room and discuss your request."
"How can you tell whether I'm different or not?" Jacob asked, curious.
"Cordelia and I have heightened senses. You don't ping the way anything we deal with would, but you still ping."
"Interesting, I'd explain, but it's classified."
"Not a problem." Xander assured him. "Unless you attack we have no problem with you and we've got our own classified dealios."
"Are you military?"
"No, we're all civilians, but I'm aware of a version myself in another reality that you could call a soldier."
"You've encountered multiple realities?"
"Dawnie's still getting control, she's ended up in more than a few realities and we've had to retrieve her." He smirked.
"Dawnie?"
"My sister," The little blond told him. "eleven year old annoyance who's a genius at portals and getting herself in trouble."
"Oh." Having raised a genius child who got herself into all kinds of trouble, Jacob could relate. "Well, I'm expected back by the Council. It was nice meeting you."
"You too, General." The three teenagers nodded at him and followed General Hammond and Colonel O'Neill out of the room.
"Kids are fighting this war of theirs?"
"I think we might hear more about why as part of their request." Major Carter answered. "At least I can ask some questions. Be careful out there, okay, Dad?"
"You too, Sam." He hugged his daughter and headed down to the gateroom while Sam headed to the conference room.
"Help yourself to coffee and donuts or we could have something brought in for you." General Hammond invited.
"As much as I'd like to ask for Twinkies, we don't have time." Xander answered. "A man's life is in danger. We could have portaled right into your base but we thought scaring people with guns wasn't a great idea and our scout, Johnathan, reported the planet where we originally ended up on was clear and Oz saw Earth's address when Dr. Jackson entered it, so we took a chance."
"We appreciate that." General Hammond smiled. "This man who's life is in danger, can you tell us anything?"
"He's an informant who's spilled the beans on his boss's plans. A boss who's got fanatical followers that could try to kill him if they find out he informed on him."
"This part of the end of the world thing you mentioned before?" Jack asked.
"Yes."
"Tell us about it?"
