Smurfocalpse Chapter 30: The Return of Captain Dreamy
The sun shined bright in the sky the day he returned. Papa Smurf was the first to see an unfamiliar vessel approach the port, and at first was suspecting humans until he heard familiar voices onboard and for the first time in a while smiled a genuine smile. He hurried his way back inside the house to tell the others.
"You're all not going to believe this, but Dreamy is back." Papa Smurf said.
"Dreamy is back?" Brainy asked.
"We have Smurfberries again!" Farmer shouted excitedly.
This was a change, something good was happening for once. All the Smurfs got up from what they were doing and rushed outside to the docks just as the gangplank of the S.S Smurf IV connected to the docks and the crew started to exit the ship with their belongings. One by one the crew exited the ship and excitedly approached the others. Mango and Duck were one of the last off the ship and the two of them got the most intense stares from the Smurfs. Here he was dressed differently, a darker 'tanner' shade of blue, and was leading a duck around on a lead. He seemed very strange to the others.
"I uh… I don't believe we have met." Papa Smurf said as he approached Mango.
"My names Mango Smurf, and this is Duck." Mango said.
"I am Papa Smurf… forgive me it's just I have so many questions." Papa Smurf said.
"I assume you are the leader of this village?" Mango asks.
"That's right, and you can come to me for anything anytime." Papa Smurf said.
"I'll keep that in mind." Mango said as he led Duck off the docks and past the others to take a look around.
"He doesn't seem very Smurfy does he?" Brainy said.
"Since when does Dreamy make friends like that?" Potter asked.
"Since when does Dreamy have friends at all?" Jokey said before laughing.
The group began to laugh. It was all fun and games laughing at Dreamy's expense until Fisher tackled Jokey to the ground and began bashing his face in repeatedly with his fists. This shut the group up quick and Hefty had to pull Fisher off a now black and blue Jokey.
"Don't you ever insult Dreamy Smurf in front of me!" Fisher said.
"Alright, alright Fisher just calm down man." Hefty said.
Sure enough Dreamy and Coconut were the last to exit the ship. The others did not recognize her at all, but it was clear she was pretty ill. Doctor instinctively approached Coconut as she got closer just in front of Dreamy and put the back of his hand to her forehead which caused her to jump followed by a coughing spell.
"Great Smurf… What you be doin out of bed? You are very, very sick!" Doctor said.
"No… No I'm fine really, but thanks uhh.." Coconut said.
"Doctor… I am Doctor Smurf." Doctor said.
"Coconut…" Coconut replied.
"Well Miss Coconut you are very sick. I'm takin you on as me patient an you are to immediately go back to bed this instant." Doctor said.
"What?! But I can't I-" Coconut said.
"Nonsense! To bed with you!" Doctor said.
"Don't argue with him Coconut. He's the best Doctor in the entire world. You'll be on your feet and back to work in no time." Dreamy said.
Coconut nodded just before sniffing a bunch of snot into the back of her nose just before being offer a tissue by Doctor. He led her back onto the ship to her bed and made sure she stayed there.
"Papa Smurf I did as you asked… Baby is safe on Smurfberry Island, and Grouchy and Smurfette are watching him." Dreamy.
Papa Smurf smiled and placed a hand on Dreamy shoulder.
"I'm proud of you Dreamy. You've really grown into a fine young Smurf." Papa Smurf said.
"As for everyone else. I have enough Smurfberries on board to last us the winter and then some!" Dreamy Said.
"Y-You mean I could Smurf up a nice Smurfberry pie right now?" Chef asked.
"Smurfberry pie, Smurfberry jam, Smurfberry anything! Help yourself pal!" Dreamy said.
Everyone was blown away by how much Smurfberries the crew had managed to pack into the ship. It took the rest of the afternoon for every Smurf to haul all the Smurfberries onto the docks. Farmer walked up and curiously picked one, examining it closely and then eating it pondering its taste.
"These are good! Me Smurfberry crops gonna be better than ever before!" Farmer said.
"What about Greedy and Mariner?" Papa Smurf asked almost already knowing the answer.
Dreamy just shut his eye and shook his head.
"Did they suffer?" Papa Smurf asked.
"I don't think so… You're not going to believe what we've all been through." Dreamy said.
