The start.. of something I regret..

Its morning in the Titans tower, Im usually just sitting down and joking with cyborg about meat and tofu. Although today is different, my family.. the doom patrol.. is staying the month at the tower because they need help finding a villain. Right now Mento is making a plan, a plan that involves me using myself as bait. Of course the other titans thought that this idea was fine but I was unsure about it, I mean using myself as bait, what if the villain we are after is extremely dangerous. It took me a few moments but agreed to it.

"NO! You are not using my friend as bait! What's wrong with you!?"

Robin yelled as I looked at him. As well as the others, they looked at him suprised at the sudden outburst. 'He's defending me.. I never expected him to defend me since Ive always though he didn't like me.' I thought to myself before speaking up. "Dude its fine.. I- I can handle it." I say reaching out to him but he slapped my hand away.

"No!? Listen here, you are not using Beast boy as bait do you here me!? He's part of my team and in my team I refuse to make my friends be bait!" he said pointing at Mento with a pissed look. I don't think I've ever seen Robin so defensive over me.. it was sort of shocking.

"I dont care about what you say, beast boy will follow my orders no matter what! Plus he fine with it." Mento said coldly. I didn't want to do this.. I mean I agreed but only because I didnt want any one in the city to get hurt.

"Bullshit.." Robin whispered to himself. Almost everyone, even Mento, heard him. It was rare to see Robin swear, especially at someone older than him. It took Mento a few seconds before storming near him and grabbing the collar of his cape.

"WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE MISTER! Just because you're 19 now does NOT mean you can speak to me that way!" He said with a stern voice before letting go and turning away. Before he could walk out Robin quickly spoke up.

"I'll be the bait!" Everyone looked at him confused.

"What do you mean by that Robin.." I asked with a confused but worried tone. " You dont have to-"

"No! No... its fine I don't want any of you guys getting hurt badly because SOME ONE wants to use you as bait.. so I'll do it." Mento scoffed at Robins remark but gladly accepted Robins proposal. He then left to the other Doom Patrol menbers to talk about the plan with them.

"You didn't have to do that Robin, I could've done it." I said, Robin looking at me in the process. Robin just smiled and gave me 'Its fine I wanted to' look before giving me a side hug. I smiled back, because it's not everyday that your leader, the one you thought hated you, defended you.

"Okay enough with that, are you guys hungry?" He asked us as he let go of me. 'That was a quick change in mood.' I thought to myself. Although I was hungry, I hadn't eaten since Mento came in before I had the chance. Everyone nodded in agreement . "Alright, let me make something quickly!" Walking to the kitchen, Robin started getting everything ready to make the food. I was kind of thinking that I should go help him out, but I also remembered that I didn't know how to cook many things.

About 2 hours later*

"Titans! I finished!" Robin yelled out placing each plate on the counter table. When we got there, we noticed that all of the dishes had different meals.

"What did you make, friend Robin?" Starfire asked as she flew over to Robin.

"I made food that suited each of your guys taste. Vegtables and a tofu burger for beast boy, I made something out of the ingredients from Starfires planet, For Cyborg I made Steak with some barbecue ribs, and for Raven some rice and you said you liked tofu as well because it helps you so i made some marinated tofu." We all looked at him, jaws on the ground, shocked that he would make a meal specifically for each of us. Mostly because he never cooked for us, usually he only cooks for himself.

"Wow Dude you didn't have to make seperate dishes for each of us."

"No its fine, i know that each of you have different tastes in food so I knew that doing this would make each of you comfortable with eating." (idk anymore)

Robin responding protesting Cyborgs claim.

"Now you guys ready to eat!" Everyone cheered and ran to each of their plates, well Raven didn't but deep inside she was happy.

As I sat down near my meal, I was hyped to eat the meal Robin made me, it looked delicious and i couldn't wait to ea it, although I noticed aa the corber of my eye that Robin wasn't eating or anything. Now that I observed the tabls more there were only 4 plates, Robins is missing. "Hey Robin, dude, Were's your food? You made all of ours but what about yours?" I asked him staring with a worried look. The titans heard what I said and they looked around also noticing the missing plate from the area.

"Yeah were's your food?"

"Arn't you hungry"

"You need to eat too Dude."

Each of the titans started stating and asking why he isnt and should be eating.

"I'm not hungry titans! You don't need to worry, I- I ate already..." Robin said rubbing the back of his neck.

'He's lying' I thought to myself. 'We've been out here since we've gotten up' It was strange to see Robin lie about some important. "Okay.. if you say so..." I said hesitantly before Robin smiled at me with a 'glad you understand' look and left to hus room.

"We should make something for him!" Starfire slamed her fist on the counter. Although she quickly apoligized for doing so.

"Star's right!" Raven spoke up. "He did this nice thing for us and we should repay him!"

"Yeah we should!"

"I agree!" Both me and Cyborg added on smiling. But then I felt both my soul and smile drop. "What does he even like?..." A bunch of 'oh's filled the room. None of us really knew what he liked since he always ate what we made. (Even Starfires) Plus mostly Cyborg cooks and even he doesn't know what Robin really likes.

"Shall I go ask him?" Starfire asked.

"No!" We all yelled. (not really) We didnt want Robin to know that we were gonna make him something.We wanted to suprise him.

"Soo do you guys know how to find out what he likes to eat?" We all though for a moment, it was hard to find out since Robin usually kept to himself so we didn't have a way to find out. I mean we could jus make him a normal meal, but he made us meal we liked, so we have to do this for him.

"I have an idea on how to find out his favorite food!"

"How!?" I knew that Robin must have some sort of family member that knew his favorite food. (talking about Batman)

"We can ask batman!" I exclaimed with excitment. Although the other titans had different expressions.

"Batman.. seriously. We don't have any way of contacting him!"

Cyborg said crossing his arms. "Well we can try to find him in Robins contacts..I mean we can 'borrow' his phone to find contact him."

"So your sugesting that we steal Robins phone to contact batman for his favorite meal.. are you crazy?" I gave Raven a 'maybe' look before chuckling slightly.

"We should try at least right?"

"No.. we won't.." Raven sighed before speaking again "I'll just try and go into his mind and find out what he likes."

"YOU COULD OF TOLD ME THAT BEFORE I CAME UP WITH THIS SHIT!" I yelled as Raven just rolled her eyes.

"Shut up and let me find out." She said before doing something I don't really understand, she closed her eyes and said a few words. Then after a few seconds, Raven was back with the information. "He likes crab stuffed mushrooms."

"Ew... crab" I said to myself.

"Alright lets all make that!" Cyborg stepped in. Although his "But first we should eat first." We nodded and began eating the food.

A few minutes later*

"Alright let's get started on the food!" Cybirg said putting his plate in the sink. "Sooo Starfire will... uhh help with cleaning! yeah, cleaning. As well as Raven."

"Fair enough" Raven said walking towards thr sink, along with Starfire. Me and Cy just stood for a few moments before I spoke up.

"I probably shouldn't make it.. I'm only use to making Vegan stuff."

"Aww come on dude, you can make it! I'll teach you how to make It.. I mean I'm gonna be learning how to make it too so.. yeah." I started thinking for a while, since I didn't really like or even did make meals out of meat.

"Fine.. but only.. only for Robin." I stated. Cyborg smiled and started getting the ingredients for the dish.

'Ughhh... My hands hurttttt' I mentaly said to myself as we placed the last touches to the dish. "Do you think he'll like it?" I asked the other Titans.

"I don't know.. hopefully.. I mean it is his favorite.." We all went silent hoping that we were correct with our option.

"Who's gonna give it to him?" Stafire asked. For some reason everyone looked at me.

"What?"

"You should be the one to give it to him." Raven said with the others agreeing.

"What, why?!" Why were they saying that I should go, i'd expect them to pick Star not me..

"Uh.. Robin usually gets pressed when we do something after he said no.. or implied that he said no.(if that makes sense) So why not send the person who gets in trouble the most with him."

"I'm offended and I hate you, you megatron look-a-like." I said grabbing the plate and leaving, cyborg having his jaw on the ground.

While walking to Robins room I thought of all the possible outcomes of when I arrive at his door. He could be happy that we cared about his health, or he could be pissed that we disregarded his choice to not eat. I take a deep breath as I arrive. 'Calm down bb its not like he's the devil or something, he isn't mean or anything.. only strict' I told myself as a calming mechanism.

"Robin?" I nocked calling out his name. It took him a long 2 minutes to yell out 'Coming, hold on!'. I heard him running to the door tyen stopping. Opening the door, he looked at me with a smile.

"Yes, what do you need Beast boy?" He tilded his head as he said that. I hesitaded but held out the plate to Robin.

"I know you said that you already ate.. but me and the others didn't really see you eat so we wanted you to eat something that you liked."

"F-for me?" I nodded and smiled, handing him the plate. Although when I gave it to him his smile slowly disapeared.. "T-thank you.. I appreciate that you guys care about me." He started speaking in formal language, which wasn't like him. A started frowning since I thought his expression would be more joyful. He seemed to notice and put a smile on quickly. "Hey what's wrong?"

"It's just it looks like you arn't really happy that we made you something."

"I am! It looks delicious and I can't wait to eat it!" I looked at him, not wanting to push him to say why he was unhappy, and just gave a small smile.

"Okay.. I guess enjoy.." He nodded quickly and closed his door. 'Somethings off..' I thought as I looked at the now closed door. I was thinking maybe I should stay here and listen to what he's doing, or watch what he's doing like I did with Raven.. 'No.. I cant it's his privacy.. and I can't invade it.' I turned and walked back to the other titans, but before I got to the door near the living room/kitchen, I turned around and went back to Robins' room. 'I have to see whats wrong.. this isn't like him!'

Third person pov*

Robin was sitting down staring at the plate Beastboy had brought. As much as he wanted to eat it he knew he wouldn't be able to. Although the thought of what would happen if he tried to eat was overturned by another thought. He wanted to eat it since his friends spent their time making it. Robin sighed and grabbed the plate.

Shaking he picked up a peice of the Crab-stuffed mushroom, although when he got a wiff of the food he felt nauseous. He fought the nausea and took a bite. It was delicious. He could take more bites and eat it all, but he couldn't fight back the nausea anymore and he quickly ran to a trash can and threw up.

Now through out Robin trying to eat the food, Beast Boy was on the wall as a little fly. He couldn't believe that Robin 'didn't like' the food. Disapointed he decided to leave and not watch anymore.

Robin on the other hand, was trying to stop himself from vomiting. He kept on crying, mentally telling himself to stop, but he couldn't. After a few minutes he finally stopped. The pain in his stomach hurt him so much that he couldn't get up anymore, so he just curled up in a ball and cried.
