Royal Woods is certainly an interesting town filled with many interesting kinds of people. it's the kind of place where one can settle down and make a family, maybe even start a business.
If you were to ask anyone in the town of Royal Woods who is the most interesting group in the whole town, most of them would answer the same question.
The Loud family!
This family of thirteen individuals is possibly the largest family in the whole history of Royal Woods. This is because the parents, Lynn Loud Sr and Rita Loud, are the proud mother and father of elven children in the form of ten daughters and one son.
That is not the only reason why pretty much everyone in Royal Woods would answer with the Loud family being the most unique group in the town. Despite being a close-knit family, almost none of the family has nothing in common.
Each and every single one of them is a unique individual who has one talent or another. Each of them have also left a major impression on many people in Royal Woods, with many of them knowing them as either a friend or acquaintance. Either way, there's pretty much no one in Royal Woods who's never heard of the Loud family!
All of them could be found in 1216 Franklin avenue, except the oldest daughter Lori, who lives next door in her neighbor, Mr Grouse's garage. This is because she needed her own space after returning from college, Fairway University, for a gap year.
Now despite being very different with one another, even the twins, the Loud family is quite a tight knit group that love each other very much. This is to the point they often say they wouldn't trade each other for the world.
But even the closest of families have problems at times, and sometimes, things happen that could shake the foundation of a family. Or other times it can help someone who has not shown much talent in a group of superstars grow in his or her way.
Especially if you are the self-proclaimed man with the plan!

[Royal Woods Middle School - Principal Ramirez's office]
[Friday afternoon - 1:15 p.m.]
Currently, the white haired middle child of the loud family known as Lincoln Loud was sitting quietly outside Principal Ramirez's office. He didn't know why he was called to the office, since he was sure he didn't do anything bad.
Just a moment ago he was in his main teacher, Mr Bolhofner's classroom trying to ignore his nemesis, Chandler McCann. Then out of nowhere his teacher gets a call from Principal Ramirez saying that she wants Lincoln to come to her office.
To say that the self-proclaimed man with the plan is nervous was an understatement.
'What did I do this time? I know I didn't do anything that bad! Heck, I've been trying my best to be on my best behavior so I don't impact the Royal Woods Middle School action news team! Plus Lynn is the hall monitor, and she warned me not to make trouble for her... By cracking her knuckles in saying she would give me a camel clutch if I do anything to ruin her rep... So why am I being called to the principal's office?' Lincoln thought to himself, trying to figure out a reason why he was called to the principal's office when he clearly didn't do anything wrong.
He tried his best to be on his best behavior in Middle School, since not only did he want a favorable impression in the school, but he also did not want to experience a camel clutch! his thoughts were further intensified when he saw his parents enter the main office.
He looked at his parents thinking they were angry at him, but based on their expressions, they were equally confused as him
"Lincoln, what is going on? One moment I'm at the Royal Woods gazette writing an article, and the next moment your principal calls me saying that she has to talk to me and your father about something very important, and it involves you. Did you do something bad?"inquired Rita, wondering why her son was called to the principal's office.
"Mom, I swear I didn't do anything bad. You know I do my best to be on my best behavior, especially since I don't want to experience a camel clutch from Lynn."Lincoln said in his defense, run his best to convey his innocence.
"I think he's telling the truth, Rita. I asked principal Ramirez if Lincoln was in trouble, and she said he wasn't. She just said that she needed to talk to us in person, and it was very important."said Lynn Sr, believing his son was innocent.
"Phew..."Lincoln said, letting out a sigh of relief at the thought that his father believed he was innocent.
"Well... Lincoln seems to be just as nervous as us, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt."said Rita, even though she had a feeling in her gut that something big was going to happen.
Within minutes the principal open the door, motioning for the Loud parents and Lincoln to come inside. Rita, Lynn Sr, and Lincoln looked at each other for a second before they followed the principal into her office. Once they were all inside, principal Ramirez quickly shut the door.
"Please sit down."Principal Ramirez said, motioning for the Loud family to sit in the chair is in the room.
Rita, Lynn Sr, and Lincoln quickly sat down in the chairs in front of the principal's desk. Once they were sat down, principal Ramirez quickly took her seat in the chair that was directly behind the desk.
"Thank you for coming on such short notice, Mr and Mrs Loud. I know you must be busy running your restaurant and working at the gazette, but I assure you, this is very important."sad principal Ramirez, looking at Lincoln when she said that.
"Principal Ramirez... Did I do something bad?"Lincoln inquired, wondering if he was accused of doing something bad.
"No. You can relax, Lincoln. I didn't call your parents here because you did something bad."principal Ramirez said, making the white haired middle child let out a side of relief.
"Phew..."he said.
"I actually called them here for something very important, and it involves you."Principal Ramirez added, confusing the Loud family.
"What do you mean?"the Loud mother inquired.
"Mr and Mrs Loud, as I'm sure you are aware, the Royal Woods Independent School district has been experiencing major budget cuts..."said Principal Ramirez, something the loud parents couldn't argue with.
"That's one of those reasons we have our youngest attend a private preschool."said the Loud father, who knew exactly what principal Ramirez was talking about.
The Royal Woods Independent School district hasn't been doing so well, especially with recent budget cuts thanks to unforeseen expenses... Like the sinkhole the school experienced in our major hallway a few months ago. Or the fact that the coach of the basketball team we got an actual kangaroo as the mascot of the school... And keeping them angry boxing kangaroo happy was not cheap. It's a wonder how the coach kept her job after that stunt.
"Yes, well during the last board meeting between the school on how to get funding... My cousin called."said Principal Ramirez, confusing everyone in the room.
"Your cousin?"Rita inquired, wondering where this story was going.
"Her name is Geeta Ramirez... She's the chairwoman of an elite school district on an island off the coast of Spain... She also has several other jobs, which make her extremely wealthy. Anyway she called and gave the school board an offer they couldn't refuse."said Principal Ramirez before she took on a deep breath.
"I'll just get straight to the point... My cousin offered to donate a large lot of money to the Royal Woods School district in exchange for one of our students attending her school for a year. I asked her why she wanted to do that, and she said she wanted to conduct a social experiment with an American. The school district didn't refuse her offer, and when they asked who she wanted... She immediately picked out your son."said Principal Ramirez, explaining to the Loud parents why she wanted to see them today.
"WHAT?!"the loud family shouted, with Lincoln being the loudest.
"I asked her why she picked your son out of everyone else, and she said she was interested by his natural white hair. At first she thought it was dyed, but when I told her it was natural, she became even more interested."Principal Ramirez said, with Lincoln nursing she was exhausted at dimension of her cousin.
"Principal Ramirez... Do you not get along with your cousin?"Lincoln inquired, since he was curious.
"... She has always been more successful than me, and is a whole lot richer... So yes, our relationship is estranged at best."Principal Ramirez answered, with the Loud family sensing clear signs of jealousy from the principal of Royal Woods Middle School.
"So...She wants your son, Lincoln Loud, to attend her school in Paldea for a year in exchange for her large donation! Mr and Mrs Loud, I know I am asking for a lot, but my cousin is offering so much money that it can help all the schools in the School district, including Royal Woods Elementary School and Royal Woods High School. Lincoln only has to be in Paldea for a year...That was her only condition."Principal Ramirez exclaimed, who looked like she was practically begging for the Loud parents to agree to her cousin's demand.
Rita and Lynn. Sr did not know what to say in that moment...It was certainly a big ask! Now can this woman expect them to send their only son to an island off the coast of Spain! That was a whole ocean away, and for a year no less!
Lincoln was feeling the same way! This was not the first time Principal Ramirez has done something like this. He still remembered when she shipped him off to Canada during his first weeks in Middle School. He still doesn't understand how all of that worked... But he definitely doesn't want to go back to Canada anytime soon. Now she wants him to go to an island that was all the way on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean just because her cousin offered a lot of money to the school district.
"You can't honestly expect this to accept these terms, can you?"Rita said, feeling like this was a big ask.
"Please! My job is on the line... My cousin put me in an awkward position with the school district... They are completely on board on this... Now they just need your permission."Principal Ramirez said, looking like she was practically begging at this point.
"Can't your cousin just donate the money without taking our son?"Lynn Sr inquired, wondering if that was possible.
"My cousin is a very stubborn woman. Once Geeta makes up her mind on something, it's nearly impossible to change it. She is very determined to have your son attend her school... Mr and Mrs Loud, I know what I'm asking sounds straight out of a reality TV show, but this is real life. My cousin's donation could not only pay for needed repairs, but also fund new classroom materials, extracurricular classes, and going to the pension fund of many of the teachers when they finally retire. I know it would not be easy to send your only son across the Atlantic Ocean, but this is the only way to truly save the school district from near bankruptcy."said Principal Ramirez while putting her hands together and begging the Loud parents to do what needed to be done for her sake and the school sake.
This left Rita and Lynn Sr in a bind. On one hand this sounded like a great opportunity, but the thought of parting ways with their only son for a year was something the two of them couldn't bring themselves to bear, especially Lynn Sr. He had just gotten his daughter back from Fairway University, and he was still not fully happy with the thought of Lori living next door... So the thought of his son, his only son, going to an island off the coast of Spain was something he couldn't fathom.
"This will also benefit Lincoln as well."added Principal Ramirez, confusing the Loud parents and Lincoln at the same time.
"What do you mean?"inquired Lynn Sr.
"The school my cousin and the chairwoman of is called Naranja Academy. It's a prestigious school that teaches every curriculum your son needs. Unlike Royal Woods Middle School, Naranja Academy is well funded, has a long history, and it has a excellent graduation rate. I know the thought of Lincoln leaving his friends and family would probably be unbearable for him, but it's only for a year. Please... We really need this money. And before you ask, my cousin will not change her mind no matter what... Believe me, I tried."said Principal Ramirez, hoping that a bit of pleading and begging would convince the Loud parents to send Lincoln abroad for a year.
"Just how much money are we talking about?"Lincoln inquired, wondering how much money this Geeta lady was offering.
Principal Ramirez said nothing as she took out a notebook and pencil and wrote a number on it. She then flip the notebook around and showed the number to the Loud family. Once they saw how much money the cousin was offering, they immediately went wide-eyed. Lynn Sr actually fell back once he saw how much money principal Ramirez's cousin was offering.
"Just how rich is your cousin?"Rita inquired.
"This is only small percentage of her overall net worth... She's a workaholic who doesn't indulge in lavish spending, so believe me when I tell you she has more than enough means to pay this money she is offering."said Principal Ramirez, who sounded jealous when she said that.
Most likely because she was a public educator working for a meager salary while her cousin had money in the millions and possibly billions of dollars.
"Hmm... Can you give us time to think about this."said Rita, shocking her son and husband.
"Can you please make your decision by today... My cousin is not a very patient woman... And her offer has a limited time. So please make the right decision, for everyone's sake."said Principal Ramirez.
With nothing more to say, Rita and Lynn Sr quickly got up from their chairs. Lincoln got up a second later, and followed his parents outside.
"Rita, are you actually considering this?"inquired her husband once they were outside of the office.
"You saw how much money her cousin is offering... This could really help out the school district in more ways than one."said Rita, justifying her response.
"But she is asking us to send our only son across the Atlantic Ocean to some Island we've never heard of and to a school we've never heard of until now. This is absolutely ding dang crazy."said Lynn Sr, feeling like they should say no no matter what repercussions they face.
"Lynn, let's be real. If we don't do this, Lincoln is going to suffer."said Rita, confusing her husband and son.
"What are you talking about, mom?"inquired Lincoln, wondering what his mother was talking about.
Rita took in a deep breath before taking a knee to look at Lincoln.
"Lincoln, I know it's a lot to ask for you to be separated from your friends and family. But let's be real. If we don't accept this offer, you could be at the target of harassment from not only the teachers, but also your fellow students. You remember what happened when your sisters extracurricular activities were cut. Lori, Luna, and Luan had their clubs canceled, and a fight almost broke out between the music club and the sports club... We don't want to repeat of that, do we?"inquired Rita, wondering if her son was getting what she was saying.
Lincoln was no idiot, he knew exactly what she was saying. He knew that if they didn't accept this offer, things could get really ugly for him in the long run. Not only would teachers resent him for not accepting the offer, but his fellow students might start bullying him because their clubs and extracurricular activities may be cut. Not to mention his sisters... He knows very well how much they love their activities and clubs, and with those cuts he can't imagine what they do to him...Lynn and Lola especially. He fears that if he doesn't accept this unreasonable offer, a camel clutch will be the least of his worries.
"But Mom, I don't want to be separated for my friends. Clyde will freak out once he hears about this."said Lincoln, who did not want to go to another school for a year.
"I know, Lincoln. But what choice do we have... The cards are stacked against us. It's only for a year... I'm sure Clyde and the others will understand eventually. Plus, the benefits of a beneficial education could work wonders for you."said Rita, trying to sugarcoat the situation.
She knows her son does not want to do this, especially at the thought of leaving his friends behind. But it was clear to her that Principal Ramirez already has her back to a corner, and there's not much else they can do. Plus there was the fact she did not want her son to be bullied. Add on that a beneficial education was important to her, and it was clear she needed to make the decision to send her son off to Naranja Academy, even if he did not like it.
"Your mother is right... As much as it pains me to admit it. Your education is the most important thing Plus I don't want you getting bullied just because we said no. Lincoln, please understand. It's only for a year. I don't like this as much as you don't, probably even more. But what choice do we have. You saw how much money this Geeta lady is offering. That kind of money can change people, and not always in a good way."said Lynn Sr, trying to make his son understand.
Lincoln meanwhile teared up and wiped away some tears the second later.
"But why does it have to be me? Out of all of the students in the school district, why did Principal Ramirez's cousin choose me of all people. It just doesn't make any sense."said Lincoln, who was really against this idea.
"I know it seems unfair right now... But try to think of it as a good thing. Not only will you get to attend a prestigious Academy for a year, but you may even have fun. You can make new friends, experience things you can only experience there, and it's not goodbye forever. It's only for a year, plus I'm sure there's a waited for us to communicate."said Rita, trying to convince her son that this was a good idea.
In that moment Lincoln took up deep breath.
"I know what you guys are saying... If I don't do this everyone in the school district, including the students will hate me... The odds are stacked against me... And even I, the man with the plan, can't see a way out of this.. So I guess I have no choice but to go along with this, no matter how much I don't like it."said Lincoln will clenching his fists, knowing he was making the right decision for everyone but himself.
With nothing more said, the Loud parents and Lincoln headed back into the principal's office.
"Is there any way for Lincoln to stay in contact with us?"inquired Rita.
"Yes. My cousin said that there is a special device called a video phone at Naranja Academy. With the device, Lincoln's will be able to communicate with anyone across the world that no charge. There are many of them in Naranja Academy."said Principal Ramirez, who appeared to have a hopeful look in her eyes.
Feeling slightly better upon hearing that, Rita and Lynn Sr looked at each other for a moment before looking at Lincoln. He still did not look happy, but they looked over at principal Ramirez.
"What do we need to sign to make this official?"inquired Lynn Sr after taking a deep breath.
"So you agree?"inquired the principal, causing both Loud parents to nod after looking at each other for a moment.
"Oh thank you, Mr and Mrs Loud! Not only did you save my job, but you've given the school district so much with your agreement! I'll text my cousin right now and tell her you agreed. For now, please sign this paperwork she sent me."said Principal Ramirez before pulling out some paperwork from her desk and had to get over to the Loud parents.
Lincoln just looked on as his parents began looking over the contract and began signing their names at the end. He knew he was making a right decision for everyone's sake, but it still sucked that he would be the one having to go away for a year just to make everyone else happy. He was not happy about this situation, but he was a realist. He knew this was going to be the best... And he tried to hang on to the hope that this was not goodbye forever. All he had to do was go away for a year to an island he's never heard of across the Atlantic Ocean to attend a prestigious School.
Plus his mother did have a point... Maybe he'll make some amazing new friends there and have experiences he can only experience there.
He looked over at his parents again, who had just finished the paperwork and handed it over to Principal Ramirez.
The principal of the Middle School meanwhile had a smile on her face upon hearing the ping coming from her phone.
"My cousin says she'll wire the money to the school district as soon as Lincoln arrives at Paldea. She's already arranging the plane tickets to take him there tomorrow."said Principal Ramirez, shocking the Loud family in the room.
"Tomorrow... Isn't that a little sudden?"inquired Lynn Sr, feeling like tomorrow was too much.
"My cousin Geeta likes things done at a fast pace. She is thorough with her work, but she feels like times should not be wasted on meaningless stuff. And she already texted that the plane tickets will be ready by tomorrow at the Royal Woods airport. Mr and Mrs Loud, thank you again for agreeing to this and I'm sorry that there was no other way my cousin would wire the money to the school district. I truly wish there was another way since Lincoln is an amazing student, but I'm sure he'll make new friends and experience things only there during the year he is over there in Paldea."said Principal Ramirez, who appear to mean every word she just said.
"Thank you, Principal Ramirez..."said Lincoln solemnly.
He was not okay with this idea at all, but he knew it was in everyone's best interest. Now the only thing he could do was break the news to his friends and sisters.
"Um, do you mind if we take our son out of school for the rest of the day... I think we need to cheer him up."said Rita, who looked at her son with a book of pity and sorrow.
"Of course. I understand wholeheartedly why you must do this. I guess I'll see you in a year, Lincoln."said Principal Ramirez before the Loud family walked out of her office.
"Let's get you a flippy at Flip's to cheer you up."said Lynn Sr, causing a small smile to appear on Lincoln's face.
"Thanks Dad... I'll certainly miss flippys for a year."said Lincoln, as he and his parents began walking out of school.
A moment later they arrived in front of Vanzilla and they quickly got inside.
Meanwhile and what appear to be a luxurious office in an unknown location, a beautiful looking Latina woman wearing a suit was making the necessary preparations for the new student to go to her school.
"I wonder how you will experience the world of Pokemon, Mr Lincoln Loud. Looking forward to having you for the next year."said Geeta Ramirez, chairwoman of Naranja Academy while she signed the paperwork to get her new student at her school ready for what was to come.
While Lincoln was not happy with the decision to send them to some island off the coast of Spain for a year to attend a prestigious Academy, little did he know that this change would change his destiny in more ways than one. Come watch as he enters into a world he never thought existed until now. Come watch as he becomes a Pokemon trainer at Naranja Academy! How will Lincoln react to the world of Pokemon?
