Hi guys! I am not dead, life kicked me in the ass! I have had many stories written but decided I wouldn't post them until they were finished. I not quite done with this story, but I'm close enough. XD Anywho I plan of updating this story every week, though I will probably give you the official first chapter later this week. Please let me know what you think!

Prologue

Pitch black was what met them. No light from a store front, no light from a candle or streetlamp, nothing but darkness. But that was what they wanted. That was how they liked it. The darkness allowed them to move in and out without being seen. Creatures of lore of myth of terror, only thought of when one might tell a scary story. This was no story, they moved in the night so they could control the day.

One who was known as leader of this band stood watch as the creatures continued their dirty jobs. Looking to his lackey he spoke, "The time is approaching quickly. The master wants this done tonight so that we can progress with the rest of the plan."

"I understand." His lackey agreed a wicked smile gracing his green lips, "The pathetic humans will fall to their knees before us." His lackey laughed, but stopped short when he glared at him, "I mean before the master."

He nodded, "Make sure it remains open. We need to continue to move the supplies as much as we can before it closes once more and we lose our chance. Considerable time has been wasted already. This stupid curse hinders our plans enough as it is."

His lackey nodded, "What about you?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. "You are still needed to watch the proceedings."

"I have an errand to run." He said simply before leaving the area. He quickly made it to his destination purposefully destroying the window, watching in satisfaction as it shattered and his prey jumped, startled and scared by the sudden action. Not one to waste time, he reached down and picked his prey off the floor and hoisted him off his feet bringing them face to face. "We've heard some upsetting things." He said glaring at him, "You've been disobeying us."

His prey struggled in his hold trying to free himself, "No! We haven't!" He denied.

"Then what is this I hear of you letting humans leave? Of weapons being created? My master is not a patient being. He grows tired of this farce and wishes it to be done with."

His prey never stopped struggling, "We haven't been making weapons! No one has left I swear!"

He looked at his prey for a moment before throwing him across the room. He crashed into a desk making it shatter into splinters. "Make sure it stays that way. The king will not be pleased if we find out you have lied. He will have this world. Accept that as the truth." With that he left the way he came, into the darkness.
