Lightning Claws Shredding the Ice Animals!
Wolverine just exit the bathroom and making his way back the Fairy Tail booth to wait for the next fighters to be announce, then he nose pick up a familiar scent and look ahead to see a hooded figure walking up to him and the two stop next to each other though did not turn their heads to make eye contact.
"Did you find anything about the dark magic?" Jellal asked whispering.
"No, we got nothing so far and it's only the second day of the Grand Magic Games." Wolverine reported.
"I see, for the most part things are calm at the moment but keep up your guard and alert me of anything that might seem out of place." Jellal said.
"On it and hope you don't enjoy the games too much otherwise people might recognize you if you stay here for too long." Wolverine walked away.
"I'll keep that in mind." Jellal chuckled as he walks in the other direction too.
Wolverine makes his way to his team and fellow Fairy Tail wizards as they are enjoying some snacks Droy brought a little after the Blob vs Jager match.
"Hey Wolverine, just in time to see who's going to fight next." Marco greeted.
"Hope it'll be me, I've been itching for some action." Wolverine hoped as he eats a popcorn.
"Well, they always pick the fighters randomly every year though I'm sure you'll get your fight." Wakaba assured.
"Okay everyone, now it's time to get the third-round fight started and the next fighter to enter the ring is a cool guy who knows how to unleash his icy wild side, Lyon Vastia!" Chapati announced as Lyon smiles.
"Alright, you're going to fight next, Lyon!" Sherria said happy.
"I know you'll do us proud." Jura placed a hand on Lyon's hand.
"Now listen here, Lyon! You better go show them your full power and win or else I'll spin you!" Ooba threatened twirling her finger around and use her magic on Toby to prove her point.
"But you're already spinning me!" Toby cried.
"Do not worry, I will show whoever I'll be facing my dazzling and dangerous ice show." Lyon promised.
"(Although, I kind of wish the announcer didn't make it sound like I'm an animal.)" Lyon thought sighed.
"And the opponent he will be facing is Fairy Tail's newest member who help make the Guild's name known as one of the strongest again and known as a savage beast, Wolverine!" Chapati announced shocking Wolverine and he smirks.
"Oh, what do you know, looks like you get to fight today." Marco surprised.
"Go pound that pretty boy to dust!" Asuka threw her little fists.
"Good luck out here, Lyon's ice is no pushover." Alzack warned.
"We went on the snow mountain mission together, so you shouldn't have any problem with the cold." Romeo stated.
"Go make us proud, Wolverine!" Nab, Warren, Max, Droy, and Jet cheered.
"Damn, with you guys cheering me on so much I don't think I can hold myself back." Wolverine chuckled, feeling great with having Fairy Tail giving him support.
"Just try not to hurt Lyon too badly." She-Hulk kissed him on the lips.
"Right, see you guys after the fight." Wolverine went down to the arena ground.
"I remember reading the newspaper about Fairy Tail helping save Lamia Scale with a furry incident, something about squirrels." Yajima mentioned and Doreen is seen hiding her face down with only her tail out in the open.
"Lyon! Don't even think about giving Fairy Tail a handy cap just because they helped us!" Ooba yelled.
"You better go all out in this fight because I'll be shredding you ice sculptures into ice cubs before you know it." Wolverine excited.
"Of course, I intend to do just that." Lyon said.
"Okay, little man, show me what your devil powers can do." Orga smirked, feeling excited to see a Devil Slayer Magic in action.
(With Ultear and Meredy)
"Oh boy, I can finally see why he is so strong to win your heart!" Meredy excited to see the fight through Ultear's crystal ball.
"Yes, and I'm also curious to see about this Devil Slayer Magic he discovered." Ultear said.
"I wonder if Jellal is back with the popcorn already?" Meredy wondered what taking Jellal to get back to him.
"Don't worry, Jellal is very careful to not let himself get caught." Ultear reminded her.
"Except when it comes to Erza, right?" Meredy asked giggling.
"Oh yeah, he's definitely heads over heels for her." Ultear smirked as the mother and daughter wonder how Jellal will react to when Erza and the rest of her Fairy Tail group come back from their mysterious disappearance.
(Back at the Domus Flau)
"Okay everyone, it looks like both fighters are ready to duke it out then let the battle… BEGIN!" Mato declared.
(Music: Lyon Theme-Dragon Force, Fairy Tail)
"Here I come!" Wolverine sprinted toward Lyon with his claws out.
Wolverine goes to slash at Lyon though the ice mage of Lamia Scale leans down backward like in a limbo contest, the claws nearly touch his hair.
"(He's fast, but I fought someone like speed like that before.)" Lyon thought remembered facing Speed Demon seven years ago with Gray.
Lyon pulls himself back up just as Wolverine is turning around to attack him again.
"Ice-Make: Eagle" Lyon send in some ice made eagles flying at Wolverine.
"As if some little birdies are going to stop me." Wolverine growled.
Wolverine slashes at some of the ice eagles as the others fly around him and manage to land a few blows on him before he slashes them into pieces, but then he saw more eagles coming at him and form a tornado formation trapping Wolverine inside while attacking him in all directions.
"Wow, now that's what I call a chilling breeze of flock." Remy commented.
"You can say that again, Remy. Lyon isn't going to give Wolverine an inch to counterattack this, he better thinks of something quick or else those ice birds will be pecking cold." Chapati punned.
"Oh, I'm sure he will surprise us." Yajima smiled.
Wolverine is keeping his arms up for defense while the ice eagles are continuing the attack on him upon Lyon's command, Wolverine can handle taking hits like these as they don't hurt him much but he has to do something now or else he might risk losing the match from a time.
"Devil's Lightning Hurricane" Wolverine jumped and spin around superfast in the opposite direction of the ice eagle tornado slashing all the ice eagles away.
"Amazing! Wolverine managed to escape Lyon's trap and destroy all the ice eagles in one move!" Chapati surprised.
"Impressive, I knew you wouldn't go down from that." Lyon complimented.
Wolverine dive down for a downward slash attack at Lyon who move side to narrowly dodge the claws and threw a punch to the face which barely faze Wolverine as he throws a slash to the face which Lyon duck under before performing an uppercut. However, Wolverine grabs him by the shirt and gave the ice mage a headbutt and then threw him away, Wolverine charges again though Lyon quickly perform a spell to keep him at aby.
"Ice-Make: Dragonfly" Lyon unleashed small dragonflies made of ice.
Wolverine moves out of the way as the icy dragonflies flew past him, but they move around in a U-turn going back to Wolverine again and the savage hero of Fairy Tail starts running fast as Lyon's spell keep on following him throughout the arena. But no matter where he goes or how far he runs, the ice dragonflies would still be on his tail.
"Keep running all you want; my dragonflies are home in on you as they will keep on chasing you until you are taken down." Lyon explained.
"Is that right? Bet you would be so proud that you would want to hug them." Wolverine smirked as he just hatched a plan.
Wolverine runs up a wall and over the swan of ice dragonflies as he makes his way right toward Lyon as he wonders what his opponent is up to. Lyon didn't want to take the chance of letting Wolverine use whatever plan he is doing to catch him off guard and ruin his chance of winning this match.
"Ice-Make: Puffer Fish" Lyon formed a circular shield with turtle shell patterns on it.
"Nice try, bub." Wolverine chuckled as he ran a little faster.
Before Lyon could react, Wolverine slashed right through the ice puffy fish into tiny pieces and he grab his opponent by the shoulders as he looks back seeing the dragonflies coming at him still and fast, Wolverine look back at Lyon for a second and backward judo throw him right at the icy bugs.
"Cool, he's going to make Lyon get a taste of his own attack!" Romeo amazed of Wolverine's strategy.
"I bet that's going to hurt." Laki said.
"Oh no, Lyon!" Sherria worried.
"Fear not, Sherria. Lyon is always quickly on his feet and keeps a cool head in battle." Jura said with a calm smile.
With Lyon heading toward his own icy bug attack, sure he was surprised of how Wolverine threw him and make his dragonflies target him instead and admit it's a clever plan to boot, but Lyon won't let himself be done in by his own attack and would never let himself be seen by Gray if he were to lose like this. Gray would probably never let him hear the end of it for a long time, so he won't let that happen for as long as he is Lyon Vastia, the equal and greater rival of Gray Fullbuster.
Lyon move himself right-side up and put his hands together waiting for the right moment to use the spell against his dragonflies.
"Ice-Make: Turtle Shield" Lyon formed an ice shield with turtle shell pattern as the ice dragonflies crash and shatter on impact.
"Looks like Lyon is still in the game! That was some quick thinking he still to protect himself from… well, himself in this case." Chapati reported.
"It's a good thing a chief would always know his own recipe and knowing defend against it." Remy added.
Lyon look back at Wolverine and threw his ice turtle shield like a flying disc as he blocks it with his claws and push it to the side.
"Ice-Make: Blizzard Bull Stamped" Lyon summoned a large magic circle and came out a couple of dozens of icicle bulls.
"Sheesh, is that guy trying to start a winter wonderland zoo?" Wolverine asked.
The ice bulls charge at Wolverine as he channels his red-black lightning magic onto his claws and reel his right arm back in the air.
"I didn't really practice much on this move, but I think now is a good time as any to use it in a real fight." Wolverine said to himself as the ice bulls come closer.
"Lightning Devil Hell Wave" Wolverine unleashed three flying slash attacks as they fly in a horizontal angel that slices and destroy all of the ice bulls and Lyon as well as he literally split in two only to be reveal as an ice clone.
"I got you now!" Lyon appeared right behind Wolverine much to his shock.
"Ice-Make: Snow Tiger" Lyon summoned a giant ice tiger and it bite Wolverine with his torso in the mouth and the icy fangs piercing through his flesh causing some blood to spill.

"EW! Lyon, that's taking it too far!" Toby grossed.
"I know this is a fight and all, but that doesn't mean you should get to violent!" Sherria worried.
"Yeah, where's the love in that?" Sherry asked.
"Oh dear, it looks like Wolverine won't be able to continue the fight after getting bitten by one of the most vicious beasts in the world." Chapati gasped then he heard Yajima laugh a little.
"Well, well, I think this fight is about to get wilder from here. Right, Master Goldmine?" Bacchus asked smirking.
"Even leaving that guild all those years ago, I always know that Fairy Tail would keep on getting stronger and gain more surprises for everyone to see. Esepcially on a certain rumor we've been hearing about the guy." Goldmine said with a small smile.
"Sorry Lyon, but those puny toothpicks aren't gonna be enough to keep me down." Wolverine smirked.
Wolverine channel his lightning magic into his claws again and slashes at the mouth into little pieces for him to be free.
"Devil Drill Claw" Wolverine drilled right into the ice tiger's body and it exploded from the inside by an electric shockwave.

Wolverine lands on the ground standing proud with the few ice fangs from the snow tiger still impale on his body, he pulls them out and the wounds all healed up instantly.
"Of course, that healing ability of yours would be a pain to deal some damage to you." Lyon cursed for forgetting about that.
"No need to feel bad. Sometimes I don't rely on it too much in battles, but it sure comes in handy like this." Wolverine smirked.
"Come on, pretty boy. Too afraid to have you face scratch for all the fan girls!" Wolverine mocked as he charges at Lyon.
"I'll show you who's afraid to get scratch." Lyon growled a bit.
"Ice-Make: Lion Fists" Lyon coated his fists in lion-shape punching gloves made of ice.
Wolverine and Lyon started clashing their fists against each other, ice lion vs lightning claws, countering and defending from each attacks with some kicks involve though Wolverine's claws are doing more damage as they are chipping away the ice lion gloves and leaving cut holes on Lyon's clothes.
"Ice-Make: Wings" Lyon created two ice wings on his back and flew into the air.
"Let see how you can fight an opponent who's in the air." Lyon grinned.
"Lyon has taken himself into the sky for an ariel advantage. How will Wolverine be able to land a hit on him now?" Chapati asked.
"Okay bub, you like being in the air so much then why don't I join you." Wolverine smiled.
"He's smiling." Kagura noticed.
"He is?" Beth asked.
"Yes, that is the face of someone who refuses to give up even when things do not bold well for him." Kagura stated.
"Does that mean he has a plan?" Arana asked curious.
"We will just have to wait and see." Kagura said, continue to look at Wolverine waiting to see what he will do next.
"Well, it looks like he caught your interest." Risley said.
"Lightning Devil's Rage" Wolverine fired his lighting breath attack toward the ground to launch himself like a human rocket heading straight for Lyon add with his own muscle legs for the small extra boost.
"What the fuck?!" Lyon gasped.
"I don't believe it, folks! Wolverine used his own attack to launch himself to the air and coming to Lyon fast, what a daring move!" Chapati commented exciting.
"Oh my, that boy sure can make things exciting." Bob giggled.
"Ice-Make…" Lyon tried to cast another ice shield to protect himself, but soon realize the speed Wolverine is going at he won't be able to cast the spell in time.
"GO, WOLVERINE!" Fairy Tail cheered for him.
"Devil Berserker Slash" Wolverine slashed at Lyon with lightning slash marks on his chest and the ice wings disappear.
Wolverine land on the ground with his own two feet, standing strong while Lyon crash landing on the ground.

"Damn it…" Lyon groaned in pain as he can't get up.
"Lyon has been defeated! The winner of this match is Wolverine!" Mato announced and the crowd cheers.
"What an incredible match, Wolverine has shown why he is Fairy Tail's newest strongest member!" Chapati cheered.
"Yep, I'm glad a fellow like him came along." Yajima chuckled.
"That was amazing! A new recipe of victory!" Remy shouted.
"Hey, you did great today, kid." Wolverine offered his hand.
"Thank you, and you are far more powerful than I give you credit for." Lyon accepted the hand and got back up.
"Possessing a form of Lost Magic and having your own healing power, you're a package deal." Lyon commented.
"I'm the best of what I do best, but what I do isn't very nice." Wolverine smirked.
"Well, that last part I got." Lyon said touching the cut on his chest and the two chuckles a bit as they make their way to the infirmary.

The battle was intense as Wolverine has faced Lyon's cold-shoulder and shatter it through with his lightning claws of victory, and so ends the second day of the Grand Magic Games as we will move on to the third and things will get a little weird from here.
