BARRY DETECTIVE, PART 1.
Base of Zone C. 15:00.
The Rangers were arriving at the conference room on Commander Wayne's orders. Fortunately, all five were at the base, so they arrived on time. However, this time it was different. The commander was still sitting in his chair, so the five Rangers approached him and saw that he was very calm. It was very strange, not common for a crime or an illicit activity to be carried out by the commander with such calm.
"Rangers, I don't usually say this, but this time there was a robbery at the central bank in Chinatown, and your mission is to go investigate the crime scene," said the commander with more patience than he usually had. This made the Rangers very uncomfortable, as the commander always spoke quickly, and speaking calmly was even more disturbing.
"Seriously? Was a bank robbery carried out in broad daylight? " John asked.
"I'm not happy about this at all, Cadet Stewart," said the commander.
"You are never happy, Commander," Barry said. After he said this sentence, Kal put his hand on his mouth to stop him from talking.
"The bank robbery took place because the bank's cameras and alarms were deactivated. No one has been able to identify the author of the robbery," said the commander, putting his threatening tone of voice.
"I can't believe this, Commander," Diana said.
"Really? The thief is an alien, a human, a hybrid of human and robot, a laboratory rat? " I ask.
"There is no information on the thief, so you better go investigate the bank" ordered the commander.
"Yes sir," said Kal, who to the surprise of all the Rangers, obeyed another order from the commander without discussing anything. This was because he was so happy and so full of life.
What was the cause of this? Kal had become Lois Lane's official boyfriend. They knew this because he had told them about this only two days after Christmas, only to John, Shayera, and Barry. What he talked about the most was how he didn't think it was possible for a girl as cool as Lois to become his girlfriend.
In fact, even Lois didn't think that Kal would ever become her boyfriend. When she met Kal, she considered him to be a smug and somewhat silly guy, but after what he had done for her, Lois began to having feelings for Kal. He was someone smart and nice, so when they kissed at Christmas, she felt good just like Kal.
Kal was literally so happy that all missions were easier for him to perform. He was so happy that he even accepted Commander Wayne's orders without arguing. Obviously, at first everyone found it weird that Kal took orders without arguing, but as three weeks passed, they were already getting used to it.
The Rangers got on their bikes and Shayera and Diana got into the squad car, but this time, Diana took another car. She didn't want to start another fight with Shayera to see who would handle it better. Things were still tense since they had returned from Themyscira. Since they found out that Diana had hidden from them that she was the princess of the Amazons, they had all turned their backs on Diana, although by orders of the commander, the four Rangers had to continue working with Diana. The bad thing is that they only spoke if it was something related to the mission. Fortunately, Diana decided not to pressure them, but the tension was still palpable.
Upon reaching the bank, the Rangers entered the front door and saw the anxious and nervous employees. The five Rangers introduced themselves to the bank employees, so they took them to see the bank vault. When opening the vault, the scene was totally surprising—the vault was almost empty, several piles of banknotes and gold bars were still intact, but the most surprising thing was that the metal wall that faced the street was not, and in its place there was a large round hole so large that all humans could pass through without problem.
"I can not believe it. I've never seen a robbery like this," Shayera said.
"Yes. This is incredible. I never thought that a robbery could be carried out this way. I could never do it like that when I was in high school. I have to know how…" Barry said before looking at the other employees and his colleagues, who looked at him annoyed, so he finished speaking. So, he went to the place where the wall was pierced, but he didn't find anything, but he saw something interesting at the edges of the circle. "Interesting. The wall was cut, but there is no sign or evidence of what could have caused it. " Barry said.
John desperately scanned the vault using his mind-created scanner. "Barry is right. There is no clue who or what could have done it," John said.
The Rangers saw it, and Kal analyzed it with his super vision. Like Barry and John, he found no evidence other than those already found.
"I must admit, this is strange. No thief had carried out a robbery of such magnitude without leaving clues," said Diana. Again, no one answered.
Barry went outside to see if there were any clues. There was nothing, except that on the ground there were two black spots on the ground.
"Guys, I found something," Barry said. The other Rangers went to see the same spots. "This is a strange thing. I've never seen something like this happen. "
"The thief must have turned on a laser before slicing through the wall. Nice work, Allen. Yeah, it's weird that I will say," John said.
"But why would it leave this here?" Shayera asked.
"Maybe the thief didn't know how to use it," Diana said.
"That's a lousy answer, rookie," John said.
"Maybe she's right, John, but the sad thing is we can't substantiate it," Barry said.
Before they could continue, the Morphos rang out, it was Commander Wayne.
"Rangers, I'm sorry to mention this, but another robbery has been carried out, this time at Drescher's bank. Go as soon as possible to check the crime scene," ordered the commander.
"Yes sir," Kal said and hung up.
The Rangers searched further, but found nothing relevant. So they went to Drescher's bank. Upon arrival, the Rangers went through the same filing procedure and went to investigate. When they opened the door to the vault, they saw the same thing again—a large, round hole in the wall that faced the street.
"Is it me, or are we dealing with alien thieves who know about our every move because they studied us thoroughly?" Barry asked.
"We don't know who is the mastermind of these robberies, Barry, but what you said makes it worse" John said scanning the area. "This is interesting. The edges of the hole in the wall have a higher temperature than normal."
"So I think someone used a laser or a lightsaber," Diana said.
"I think you're right, but this is a difficult thing to conclude, rookie," John said.
"I don't understand how two robberies happened in such a short time, and without anyone noticing," Kal said.
"I think the security system is not as good as we think," Diana said, wanting to break the ice with her cold companions. However, no one answered her.
Believing that something of the previous robbery had to do, Barry came out again, but this time there were no black marks on the ground. He analyzed and saw that the marks were around the wall.
"Guys, I found more brands," Barry said. The others went to look.
"This is still strange. The thief must have operated a very faulty laser cutter," John said.
"Hey, are you the Power Rangers?" A woman asked.
"Yes…why?" Barry asked, who was later surprised to see the woman. She was an exact copy of Shayera. She was slim, with red clothes, with red hair, but this was longer compared to Shayera's and she had high-heeled boots, also red.
"If you need a witness to see the bank robber, I can be that witness," said the woman.
"Wes ure do," Barry said.
John created a hand and pushed Barry aside. "What can you tell me about the thief?" John asked.
"Simple, I was walking with my husband before he had to go back to work. When I was left alone, I decided to walk through this place and I saw a man with a ski mask, an orange beard, tall and with blue and black clothes," said the woman.
"Wow, it's just too weird for such a pretty girl to give such a detailed description and to be so close to a robbery without calling the police," Barry said. To make matters worse, Barry began to see the woman's boots. She was pretty, and he wanted to see if she had any residue from the robbery, since she was near the crime zone, but he didn't find anything, so he stopped looking.
"Did the thief have a laser cutter?" Diana asked very kindly.
"Not. In fact, the thief used a very sharp silver-colored knife," she said.
"Any other info?" John asked. He didn't want Diana to continue the questioning.
"No, that is sadly all I was able to see," the witness replied.
"Thank you very much, ma'am," Diana said, since she did not know the name of the witness.
"Match. Claire Match," said the witness.
"Thank you very much Mrs. Match," Diana said.
"It has been very useful to us. We'll call you if we need any information," John said, interrupting Diana.
The Rangers continued searching, but found no more evidence. Therefore, they had to go back to base, as fortunately, there were no more robberies.

"Rangers, this is a highly coordinated grand robbery. This hasn't happened in a long time," Commander Wayne said. "No simple thief would commit this."
"So, there's a possibility that an alien has been watching us all this whole time, robbing the Banks, and sabotaging all the security systems?" Barry asked.
"I don't think so, cadet. According to what Mrs. Match told us, the thief would have to be human with very good weapons," said the commander.
"That witness did help us," Barry said.
"You haven't fallen in love again, have you Barry?" Shayera asked.
"Hey, that girl was pretty, but I didn't fall in love with her. I just said that it served us with a very detailed description," Barry said.
"This discussion does not help, cadets," said the commander. Before continuing, the alarm sounded. "Cadets, explosion in Miagani. Maybe there is the thief."
"Justice League, activate!" the five rangers said in unison.

The thief described by the witness who looked like Shayera was attacking an unknown person, which had caused an explosion, but the person had used it to flee. Despite the thief trying to find him, the five Rangers arrived.
"Hello, thief," Barry said.
"My lawsuit is not with you, Rangers of the Justice League. Get out of my way," said the thief.
"Every robbery committed by someone like you is our business," Diana said.
"You don't understand anything," said the thief. "Now, if you are smart, leave me alone and I will leave you alone," he threatened, but the result was very predictable.
"I'm sorry, but we won't let you go free," John said.
"Attack," Kal said.
John attacked creating a hand, but the thief threw him a quick boomerang. John dodged it, but came back and sprayed smoke. The thief took the opportunity to attack him with two metal boomerangs with which he scratched and kicked him, leaving him out of combat.
Kal attacked, but it was too slow for the thief, who scratched him with his two boomerangs, even scratching his helmet before kicking him in the chest. Kal got up and shot his heat vision, but the thief dodged it, switching his boomerangs. In the end, Kal's bolts bounced off the boomerangs and hit Shayera and Diana. This was no ordinary thief.
When the thief thought he had it all covered, Barry swiftly hit him twice.
"If you're smart, you know you don't stand a chance against the faster man," Barry said.
"Don't underestimate me, braggart," said the thief, grabbing four boomerangs. Throwing three at Barry, Uien dodged them but made the mistake of going forward. The thief used this to grab him by the shoulder and scratch him over and over again, before grabbing him by the arm and knocking him to the ground with a spin.
"Remember, do not go where they are not called," said the thief before leaving.

The Rangers were back in the conference room around the table. They were a little saddened by the defeat at the hands of a thief with boomerangs of all kinds, but the worst thing was that he had beaten them without trying too hard.
"His name is George Harkness, aka Captain Boomerang," said the commander. "He was a thief, but later he became a bounty hunter. We hadn't heard from him up to this point."
"It seems he was back on the wrong track after all, Commander," Shayera said.
"Perhaps he is too smart to leave a trace that he was. Besides that, he told you not to get involved in what you don't understand," said the commander.
"But, Commander, we have cuts on the walls and the testimony of a very reliable witness," John said.
"There is no way it isn't him, Commander," Diana said.
"I agree with my companions," Kal said.
"If I have learned something, and it is something you have to learn, it is that there is usually something hidden within all purpose or action. I think you should consider it," said the commander.
"Barry, help us, please," Kal said. To his surprise, Barry was very thoughtful. "Barry, what are you thinking about?"
"It is interesting. Captain Boomerang said don't get into what you don't understand. I never use that phrase whenever I try to justify myself when I did something wrong," Barry said.
"Barry, everything points to Captain Boomerang being the culprit. I don't understand why you doubt," John said.
"Rangers, Captain Boomerang may reappear at any moment, so get back out onto the streets to try to locate him," he ordered.
To everyone's surprise, Barry raised his hand. "Commander, I would like permission to go to the running track. I need to clarify something," Barry asked.
At first, the commander thought of denying the request, but since he kindly asked, he would keep an eye on him. "Very good, Allen, you have permission," said the commander.
With that being said, Barry was shot out and in less than 1 second, a huge stream of air was where Barry was.
"Commander, can we go talk to Barry? We promise that we will go patrol the city quickly," Kal promised.
"Make it quick," said the commander. In just five seconds, the Rangers were out of the conference room, except for Diana, who didn't want to upset anyone.
"Give them more time, Prince, they still need to accept you," the commander said.
"I'd better go patrol, at least that way I won't bother any of them," she said very calmly.
The commander knew that the other Rangers did not accept Diana, but he could not interfere with that, unless the time to forgive was excessive. For now, he had to keep waiting.
Barry was running really fast. It was what he did when he wanted to be alone or just relax. Totally different from the routine, he had his mind in quite a few directions. He kept wondering what Captain Boomerang was referring to when he said stay where they are not called, the precise cuts in the wall, the black marks on the floor and on the bank wall. It was strange.
His thoughts were interrupted by Kal, John, and Shayera approaching.
"Guys, I'm surprised you came," Barry said.
"Barry, we came to tell you that Captain Boomerange is the culprit," John said.
"Wayne told you?" Barry asked.
"No, just what we know indicates it was him," John replied.
"I don't believe it yet," Barry said.
"Barry, sometimes you are very gullible, but this is the moment when everything indicates that you should believe what we saw," Shayera said.
"But what is there to believe? I'm someone who has lied many times to get out of trouble, Shay. And I think there is something else," Barry said.
"Barry, Captain Boomerang is not you," Kal said.
"And all the evidence says it was him," Shayera said. Barry was about to say something, but the morpho sounded.
"Rangers, we have located Captain Boomerang on the Cauldron. Arrest him at all costs," the commander ordered.
"Here we go," Kal said.
"Go on. I want to do something," Barry said.
"Go you two. Let me talk to him," Shayera said. Kal and John obeyed and left. "What is it that makes you doubt the evidence?"
"I keep finding those marks on the floor and the walls very out of place. I only left them when I wanted to be mischievous and wanted to be found, but I think if Captain Boomerang left them there, then he was more careless than me," Barry said. He hoped this conversation with Shayera would end.
"I know you well, Barry, and I think it's because of that girl who looks like me," she said, letting out her jealousy again. The most annoying thing would be for a woman like her to steal Barry's heart.
"Okay, yes. It's partly because of her, but I think I can really do something to find answers," Barry said. As she knew him, he was telling the truth, or at least most of it.
"Fine, I'll get ahead of myself, but for your sake, and I mean Wayne and the others, may you find something relevant," Shayera said and left.

Diana had arrived first in the squad car, and although she was highly motivated to win this rematch, Captain Boomerang dropped two boomerang bombs. He distracted her, causing him to scratch her arms, back and neck. chest. She had thought of telling him to surrender, but wanting a rematch, the battle started and ended quickly.
Kal and John arrived, but John used two more bombs, and sadly they didn't see it coming, so they fell to the ground. John created a protective bubble around him. He managed to bounce off several attacks from the captain, but with more bomb booms, John couldn't hold out for long. Shayera arrived and shot him with the pistol. Sadly, the captain blocked the bullets with his boomerang, returning them to her.
Despite Shayera falling, Kal hit her on the shoulder, but the Captain responded and gave her more scratches, this time on her legs and arms.
"If you interfere in my affairs again, I swear to you that I will no longer be merciful," said the Captain before John hit him with a car that he had created with his mind. "I don't have time for this anymore," he said, throwing another boomerang bomb that crashed into a building and several of its debris fell to the ground, distracting the Rangers from escaping.
The Rangers cleared the path of debris and saw that Captain Boomerang was no longer present. At that instant, the Morpho sounded.
"Rangers, to base," ordered the commander.

"Rangers, you are lucky the boomerang launched by the captain didn't hurt anyone. You forget that being a Ranger is also about saving others, not just stopping the criminal," said the commander. He was angry with this performance of his Rangers squad.
"I'm sorry, Commander, I'm not really focused right now," Diana said. That was true. That she was still rejected by her peers was taking its toll.
"Then find a way to focus. At some point that could cost you dearly. Plus you didn't ask him to give up and you wanted to take revenge. That is not allowed. Rematches here is the last thing to think about when you come face to face with a criminal, Prince. And that goes for everyone. You can't make mistakes like that," concluded the commander.
"Yes, but it wasn't entirely our fault. If Barry had been in the fight, Captain Boomerang wouldn't have thrown the explosive," Kal said.
"Yeah Barry wasn't with us. I should tell him too," John said.
"I will not blame him if he is doing something useful. Cadet, Hol, do you know where Cadet Allen is?" asked the commander.
"No, he didn't tell me where he was or if he was going somewhere, but I'm sure he's doing something important," Shayera said.
"Well, let's hope you're right," John said.
"I believe Shayera," Kal said.
"Me too," Diana said.
"Okay, now that you've figured this out, keep an eye out for the appearance of the Boomerang Cap. We still have to question him and solve this case," said the commander.
"Sir, yes sir," the four said in unison before leaving. At that moment, the four Rangers were wondering where Barry was and what he would be doing at a time like this.
