WAR, PART 3.
Zone C. 13:00
"I am an entropy," said the figure.
His voice was strong & monstrous. It wasn't high pitched, but it was very low, as if an old man had merged into the body of a monster to make that voice. "I am death," the figure said as he slowly descended until he landed on the ground at their feet. "I am Darkseid, and this is my world now."
The Rangers didn't know what to do. This was all too much. One bad decision or attack would prove disastrous, so they stood very still, everyone except Diana. She kept looking at that figure who called himself Darkseid, but with anger, not fear. She was full of anger for what he had done.
She didn't know the reason why he had come, but he had kidnapped so many people. He was destroying all the cities in the world and now she wanted to stop him. She wanted to stop him, but wasn't certain how.
"Keep your distance. We don't know what else he could do," ordered the Dark Ranger with his Dark Sword in hand. He spoke with a calm tone despite the dire situation.
"Forget that. I'll stop it now," Diana said before running towards Darkseid.
"No, Diana! No!" the Dark Ranger yelled.
Diana jumped up quickly and clawed at Darkseid with two quick slashes from her sword. Darkseid landed a hard punch that would have sent her to the end of the street, except for John creating a baseball glove to catch her. This upset the commander; again, the impulses of his blue Ranger provoked disobedience, and this time trouble.
Seeing this, Darkseid just moved his right hand and pointed his finger at the six Rangers. The creatures just growled and flew towards them. The real battle had begun.
"Forget to be careful. Attack now!" The Dark Ranger yelled before attacking the creatures with his Dark Sword.
John smashed the creatures with his spiked platforms, giant boots, hammers, sledgehammers, trucks and planes. He even threw some at Diana for her to hack into pieces. Shayera was still using her gun, but she knew it was time to throw grenades. The public area was not very inhabited, since most of the civilians had evacuated, so there was no great danger.
Kal kept using his strength and his heat vision, while Barry kept hitting them with his speed. He was even better than Shayera at planting grenades in far away places.
After about a minute of this combat, John saw that a gap had opened between the creatures, leaving him free to attack Darkseid. So he created a jet pack and flew towards the big threat, but not before creating a spiked metal knuckle fist out of his mind.
"Let's see what you think of this," John said before swinging.
Unfortunately, the fist he had created had disintegrated after he punched Darkseid, but the villain did land a powerful punch that sent him crashing into one of the buildings. John fell to the ground, the creatures beginning to pummel him.
Barry saw this and went to his rescue, punching both of them quickly. John got up somewhat sore, but was determined to try again.
"Is this all you have? Good thing I don't," he said creating a locomotive with his mind that was on a collision course towards Darkseid. Unfortunately, just like the metal fist he had created earlier, it disintegrated when he crashed into the villain, sending him rolling a few meters from the villain.
Darkseid finally moved, ready to fire his fearsome laser vision in John's direction. He considered it a complete nuisance to him. But he was hit by two quick punches from Kal, who wasn't going to let him hurt J'onn. Darkseid caught Kal by grabbing his arm as he was about to hit him again and threw him to the ground, creating a hole in the ground.
"We can't win the traditional way," the Dark Ranger said, looking at Darkseid.
He needed to analyze the villain's powers to find out if there was any way to defeat him. This had distracted him long enough as one of Darkseid's creatures tried to burn him. THhankfully, Diana had stopped it by jumping on the creature's head before taking another leap to attack Darkseid again with her sword, but the result was the same.
Darkseid landed another punch that would have sent her on a collision course into a building, but this time it was Kal who saved her as John still wasn't up. He jumped to intercept her even though he had to skid a few feet from the force of the blow.
"Thank you, Kal," she said angrily. She was still mad at him, but gratitude was something she always had.
"It's nothing," Kal said as he set her down.
"It's time for me to attack," Shayera said throwing a grenade at Darkseid. It exploded, but Shayera knew that it wouldn't do anything to him. She jumped and began to electrocute him by touching him on the chest.
"Shayera, stop!" Kal yelled, seeing that Darkseid didn't react to Shayera's electricity.
Kal was right because Darkseid grabbed her hips and was determined to shoot his laser vision at her, but this time, John saved her by creating a hammer. A hammer that again disintegrated upon crashing against Darkseid, but it served to make him release Shayera. John got the worst of it when the villain grabbed his arm and squeezed it until he broke it with one of his hands. John could only scream in pain when he felt it.
After breaking his arm, Darkseid threw John hard, knocking him to the ground. John moved his left arm to his right to try to lessen or ease the pain.
"Great, now what?" Barry asked. He was quite nervous seeing that John had a broken arm. No battle had been as brutal as this one.
"Now, you die," said Darkseid, flying with both his hands in the air. They were lighting up an increasingly intense white color with each passing second.
"Take cover," the Dark Ranger cried before grabbing his grappling gun and running towards another building.
It was obvious that they wouldn't survive an attack like that, especially when they still didn't fully know Darkseid's abilities. Shayera, Diana, and Kal took cover, but Barry went to rescue John, who was on the battlefield in grave danger. Fortunately, he managed to get him out of the danger zone before Darkseid slammed his hands into the ground, creating a huge explosion that devastated the area a few meters away.
Barry and Kal went to see Darkseid, since one had not attacked him yet, and the other wanted to do it again. This villain had much more destructive powers tan they had anticipated, but they couldn't attack him now that they saw that he was ready to fire the laser vision at him again.
It was not difficult to know that this time it was directed towards them.
"I think we have to move fast," Barry said.
"Easy for you to say," Kal said.
A second later, Darkseid's laser beams shot out, forcing Kal and Barry began to run. Barry had the advantage of being the fast one, while Kal was stronger. He was also fast, but not fast enough to keep up with him. What helped him were the skills that he had developed from the commander's training. The two of them turned in different directions, but the lightning still followed them.
"It's like with the jet. They follow us no matter what," Barry thought.
"Surely the lightning has located us," Kal thought.
"Darkseid, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but no one is faster than me," Barry said, running even faster and avoiding colliding with the cars had been abandoned on the street.
Barry turned around and saw that there was a large group of Darkseid's creatures preparing to capture more people.
"Ha, let's see what you think of this," Barry said before moving very quickly between each creature in Darkseid's army. He formed a line full of broken curves, but it was effective in making each of the creatures explode when struck by lightning.
The civilians stopped running, seeing how the yellow Ranger had stopped. He gave signs of being tired due to his movements, because he still had the suit on.
"I haven't needed to take a breath in a long time. This is exhausting," Barry said, as if he almost fell to the ground.
On Kal's side, the bolts almost hit him, but he managed to evade it by turning sharply or throwing an object to block the path of the bolt. He seemed to have found a perfect conduit to get through, but he was obstructed by a woman with her daughter who were coming out of the building.
They had preferred to stay until the creatures that kidnapped people were fewer. Seeing that there was a giant fighting against the Power Rangers whose powers were more than destructive, they knew they had to leave as fast as they could.
Kal knew he couldn't endanger them, but he was already racing. He couldn't stop himself, so he drew his sword with his Morpher.
"Red Ranger cut," Kal said as he cut through a column from the doorway. He then threw the sword aside and hugged the mother and daughter with all his might as debris rained down on them. A millisecond later Darkseid's beam struck the rubble, causing a medium explosion.
The mom and the red-haired girl thought they were going to die, but to their surprise, the red Ranger did not stop hugging them to protect them from the explosion. Once she was secure, Kal got up. He was a little sore, but he was okay.
"Be safe. Everything will be fine," Kal said.
"Thank you," her mother said, almost crying. She took her daughter in her arms and they ran off.
Kal stared at them until they disappeared from his sight. He wanted to make sure they were safe, but this prevented him from turning around to see that Darkseid had fired another laser beam that did end up hitting him.
It caused a strong explosion that made him roll after falling to the ground. ground for a few meters. His suit disappeared, and his Morpher had been blown away by the explosion. Kal was unconscious, so the creatures grabbed him and took him to one of the portals.
In all that time John was recovering, but he was still not in a condition to continue fighting. The Dark Ranger, Diana and Shayera continued to fight Darkseid's creatures, unable to help Kal or Barry. Darkseid started moving towards the center of the city, followed by all the remaining creatures. It seemed that no creature had been destroyed by the Rangers. The army was as large as it had been since they had started fighting against them.
The Dark Ranger didn't know what to do, but J'onn cut him off as he called the morpher to him.
"You better have something good, J'onn," the Dark Ranger said.
"I have more bad news, Commander. Kal was kidnapped by those things. He was taken to one of the portals. you have to save him," J'onn informed him.
He could tell the others through a call, but he needed everyone to be together so they could agree on a plan on how they were going to act. He called out to the other Rangers telling them to meet at the place where Kal's Morpher was. The Dark Ranger arrived first and grabbed Kal's Morpher and put it in a compartment on his belt. He then stood up, seeing the other Rangers arrive.
"Cadets, Kal has been kidnapped by those things," he said.
"What?" The four of them asked at the same time.
"Kal has been kidnapped. They have taken him," he repeated. It didn't take a second for everyone to start talking.
"We have to go get him," Diana said.
"We have to save him," Shayera said, but they couldn't continue because J'onn called them back to his Morphers.
"And you better go fast. I can't get more information from the box, but I did get enough to know that the people who are kidnapped are being taken to a planet with an apocalyptic environment. They will be turned into another one of those creatures through a very painful process," J' onn said.
"No, that can't happen. We have to go get him," Barry said.
"No one will go after him, cadets," said the Dark Ranger, raising his voice. This generated instant hate.
"Are you going to let him die now and have him turn into one of those things?" Shayera asked.
"We are angry with him, but we will not abandon him," Diana said, approaching the Dark Ranger angrily.
"You are not going!" the Dark Ranger yelled. "I'm the one who has to go get him."
He then used his Morpho to call out to J'onn. "J'onn, I don't know what you can do, but you need to find a solution. We need you to figure out how to use that box to see if we can use it against Darkseid. Deactivate Powers," the Dark ranger finished and returned to being Commander Wayne.
He began to walk to one of the buildings where they sold clothes, which was now empty due to the evacuation. The Rangers also deactivated his powers and followed him.
"Wait. You can't go alone, Commander," John said, who was already recovering, but his arm was still broken.
"Yes I can and I must go, cadets," the Dark ranger said as he took off his garter jacket, keeping his black shirt.
"No. You have to take us with you," Diana said. She wanted to save Kal. She still considered him her teammate despite her anger.
"I'll go alone, Cadet Prince," said the commander.
"Take us with you, Commander," Shayera said.
"Yeah, Kally can't turn into one of those beasts," Barry said.
The commander put on a dark blue jacket and a red cap. He hoped this would allow him to go unnoticed. "Cadets, Zone C and the planet need you to stay here to protect them from Darkseid. Also, Cadet Stewart has a broken arm."
At that point, John told Barry to put him down and he created a cast for his right arm.
"That's not a problem, Commander," John said. One of his arguments was no longer valid, but he still had to do this alone.
"Cadets, you need to protect Zone C while I go save Cadet El. You can't leave the zone unprotected. If I leave and don't come back, but sabe him, the loss won't matter," he explained again.
"Stop saying that! You're more important than you think," Diana said, grabbing him by the shoulders.
The commander could see that she didn't want to lose him either. She didn't want to lose anyone else, especially when both he and Kal were in the most danger. "We can't let you go and leave us here with no help against Darkseid," she added.
This obviously surprised the others. Diana was very persistent and let it be seen that she was angry, but this time, she wanted to make him change his mind. She was being obstinate, but also kind at the same time. The commander's reaction was even more surprising as he just grabbed Diana's hands and slowly lowered them.
"Cadets, the zone needs you, and we won't win without Kal. It's safer for the whole zone for me to win. I know they have a division problem, but they have to remain a team, even when Cadet El returns. You may think you need my help, but you don't. You are trained Rangers. I trust you to do this. Focus on what's important and keep Darkseid busy until I get back. And don't fight to see who is the leader, Cadet Stewart and Cadet Prince," he finished before walking to a corner where he saw that some creatures were nearby.
What he said had made them somewhat shocked, for the first time in a long time. He had told them that he trusted them and told them that they were Rangers. It was then that they decided, in silence, that they were going to stay to fight Darkseid.
"Stay safe, Commander," Barry said.
"I don't promise anything," said the commander before putting himself in the field and being carried away by one of those creatures.
Thus, the remaining four Rangers watched him leave for a few seconds before turning around. They saw that Darkseid was still destroying some buildings with his laser beams.
"Then what do we do?" Barry asked.
"We already know that none of my shots do anything to him. Not even the jets or the grenades work. And we cannot melee with him all the time. He is bigger and stronger," Shayera said.
"My sword didn't scratch him either. Maybe I should try two," she said before drawing another Morpher sword.
"No, I don't think that will help, newbie. Whatever we do, he is stronger. Not even my creations manage to hurt him," John said. He was somewhat down on his ego and spirits, especially with a broken arm.
"We have to do something, John. Our commander that we always obey ordered us to do so," Shayera said, approaching him.
"Yes, but Darkseid is stronger. Maybe only Diana can keep him at bay for a while as long as we help her. We don't want him to shoot lightning bolts with his eyes again," Barry said.
At that moment, John raised his head. "That's right, Barry," he said.
"That's what?" Shayera asked.
"Darkseid's eyes. We have to destroy them. Then, we would take away a great power," John said. "I think we can do it. I will attract his attention. Then you will have to remove both of his eyes."
He still wanted to be the Red Ranger and this was an opportunity to show that he could be. However, this was replaced by the desire and determination to protect Zone C from an intergalactic threat, or so Darkseid seemed to be.
"Are you sure you want to go against him, John?" Shayera asked. "We already saw that your creations do not hurt him and your arm is broken."
"It doesn't matter. I'll be safe. I have no intention of dying," John said. "This is difficult, but our commander ordered us to, and the people we saved before need us again. So, we'll take care of this." it was clear that he had gotten carried away for the moment.
"We'll take care of this? Is that the best battle cry you could come up with, Johnny?" Barry asked.
"Stop that! Let's go" John said as he created a jet pack to go to where Darkseid was, but he trapped Diana and Shayera in a bubble to take them faster.
The four Rangers reached Darkseid's location in a minute, so John put the two women back on the ground.
"Darkseid!" John yelled, causing Darkseid to spin around. "We don't care who you are or what power you have! This is not your world!"
"We will stop you!" Diana yelled.
"You're no match for us," Barry said.
"And we will make you suffer for coming to our planet," Shayera added.
In all this time, Darkseid hadn't moved either. He hadn't even moved his face, but he pointed his finger at them, the creatures flying towards them again to attack them.
"Ready?!" John asked pulling the Morpher off of him with his left arm which was a bit difficult, but he did it.
"Ready!" The other three responded in unison.
"Justice League, actívate," the four said and transformed. "Justice League Rangers."
And so the next fight began. All with their respective styles.
"Remember, I will attract Darkseid's attention..." John said. But he didn't see that Darkseid was about to shoot them with his laser beams again.
"Forget that. He's going to shoot again," Barry said running through a building to get to the top and hit Darkseid.
Darkseid stopped him with a punch that sent him back towards the building, but he quickly recovered. Barry was inspired and determined to stop him, so he began to spin so fast that he became a cyclone flying in Darkseid's direction. Darkseid was thankfully unable to stop due to not expecting the Yellow Ranger to react so quickly to his attack, and received the blow.
"Let's attack, but take turns. Remember what the objective is," John said.
"You don't need to say it twice," Shayera said, drawing her pistol again to shoot Darkseid.
The dangerous villain noticed this, preparing to shoot her with his laser beam, but John created a shield for her. Although it didn't quite work for her, it made the impact les. Shayera was still knocked down by a small, shot burst.
Diana took advantage of her distraction and struck Darkseid in the back, but with both feet, followed by two slashes with her sword. Darkseid spun around and delivered another blow to Diana, sending her to the street. Barry attacked again with another quick punch, but decided not to do it again because he knew someone else would attack…that or Darkseid would hit him again.
Shayera pulled out another grenade, taking advantage of Darkseid's refocusing on Barry and threw it at the villain, shooting him to create a distraction with fire. John used it to jet him and knock him to the ground, sending him into a building and to the center of the street.
John tried to keep attacking to follow through with the plan and firing a missile at him, but Darkseid destroyed them with his fists. He was about to fire his laser vision at him when Shayera shocked him again with all of her energy.
"Step aside, Shayera," Diana said to hit him again, but this time with her hand.
Darkseid was about to land a blow on the Amazon when Barry began to run in circles around him, a safe distance away. This served to give him three consecutive blows without the villain being able to stop him or counterattack him, but he knew that if he did it again, he would be stopped, so he left.
Seeing that Barry was leaving again, John created a missile launcher again and fired a rather large one at Darkseid, one that this time he didn't parry.
"Eat this, Darkfool," John said as he kept shooting at him.
To his misfortune, Darkseid dodged all of the following shots, and tore through the battleship with two punches. He faced John who had created another shield that didn't do him much good when Darkseid hit him again, sending him flying a considerable distance again.
Diana again attacked from behind with a kick to the head, expecting him to turn around to plunge both blades into each of the villain's eyes. This time, however, Darkseid grabbed her leg and slammed her to the ground, making her lose one of his swords. Diana was stunned from the blow, but she jumped up again.
"Come on, giant. You're boring me," Diana said, still with a sword in hand. She was already fed up with the fact that she couldn't hurt the villain, but she wasn't going to give up until she did.
"Your efforts are futile," Darkseid said before throwing a punch at Diana, but now she was the one who intercepted the blow with both of her hands to make sure not to lose her sword.
She used her strength to pull him up and smash him against the floor. Darkseid wanted to use his hands to choke Diana, but John created chains and heavy objects such as giant cement buckets to keep him contained.
Darkseid was still not defenseless. He fired his laser beams at Diana again, but she blocked them with her sword, preventing them from hitting her. Diana plunged her sword into his right eye, making him scream in pain as the red color disappeared and turned black.
Diana still wanted to go for the other eye, but Darkseid regained his strength and destroyed John's creations holding him back. Diana had to jump to gain distance again. Darkseid didn't see it coming as John created another jet from of his mind and ran over it, taking it several miles away from them.
"One down, another one to go," Diana said.
"Let's follow it. Now he may be vulnerable," John said.
The four Rangers ran except for John who was flying towards Darkseid who had been stopped by his pet creatures. The giant villain was in a daze. His one eye was damanged and bleeding heavily from it, but he focused when he saw that the four Rangers were coming, ready to continue the fight.
Darkseid glared at the four Rangers with pure hatred. No one took an eye from him and lived to tell the tale. He looked at the arrogant and rude Blue Ranger, who was eager to gouge out his other eye. The villain flashed a devilish smile before flying at full speed towards Diana, catching her off guard and taking her towards a skyscraper.
John, Shayera and Barry couldn't help her at that moment, because another wave of creatures attacked them again. They had to deal with them again.
This was a handicap for Diana, a terrible one. Darkseid was dragging her across the ground with his giant hand, making a long line across the very ground she was being dragged across. At that time, she used her strength to try to stop this attack, but the villain was stronger than she thought.
He knew that he couldn't drag her forever, so he stopped and threw to the ground. He wouldn't stop there. He would finish her off over and over again with her big, strong hands. Diana couldn't do anything. She could only stay on the ground while she was hit. It seemed like he was going to beat her.
"Don't you dare hit my Di!" Barry yelled, who managed to reach Diana and punched Darseid in the face.
"I'm over here," he said to provoke him.
Darkseid failed to react in time and took another hit from Barry. He gave him another blow, but this time behind his head.
"You can't hit me," he said before launching another blow to his face, but this time, Darkseid proved to be just as fast as him. When the time was right, he dodged Barry's blow and landed one in his chest, which sent him flying a few feet away from him and Diana.
Darkseid was mad at that smug annoying yellow speedster. He fired his laser beam out of his left eye, but John appeared to block the beam with his shield. He knew he wouldn't be able to hold out for long, until he had a good idea.
He converted the shield into a missile and sent it back to Darkseid, who couldn't shake off the damage as it was charged with his laser beam. It damaged him, causing a few sparks to fly around him.
Shayera came up from behind to shock him again. It was the only attack she had to do significant damage. However, Darkseid was still able to hold his own against her. He grabbed her and slammed her to the ground, punching her several times until Diana struck him from behind. She then jumped forward and began punching him repeatedly across the face.
The Blue Ranger hit him with all her energy, managing to push him back, but it was time for her to use her best attack. She drew a Morpher sword from her and leapt at Darkseid.
"Final thrust," Diana said. She hit him, sending Darkseid out of the skyscraper a few feet.
Darkseid got up again, but was greeted by a grenade from Shayera, a blow to the face from Barry, another slash from Diana's sword, and a giant fist created by John.
"Let's attack him at the same time," John said.
"Understood," said the other three in unison.
Darkseid got up, but was attacked by all four Rangers at the same time. He was a big of a target. They took turns attacking his torso. It was almost impossible to miss, and they did well.
Darkseid rolled a few feet, but managed to compose himself before being hit by Barry. Shayera used to shock him again, but only briefly. She wasn't going to be hit again. Diana took advantage of this and grabbed Darkseid around the waist. John joined her, creating multiple chains on his arms and legs to keep him bound.
"Now Barry. Cut out the other eye!" she yelled. She couldn't hold on for long.
Barry used his Morpher to pull out a sword. He ran as fast as he could, but Darkseid beat them to it, breaking free of Diana's grip and John's chains. He knocked them down with sparks. Barry took a detour so that it wouldn't hit him.
Shayera knew she had to intervene so she threw another grenade at Darkseid, distracting him, but then electrocuting him. Barry noticed this and ran towards the villain again. Leaping high, Barry plunged his sword into Darkseid's other eye.
Shayera took the opportunity to get away from Darkseid, but Barry was not so lucky. The villain grabbed him and threw him a great distance. His fall was broken thanks to John, who created a bed to save him.
Darkseid was still screaming in pain, his other eye had been pierced.
"Do you think that worked?" Barry asked as he was lowered by John.
He didn't see it coming as Shayera pointed her pistol at Darkseid's left eye. The shot was so accurate that it created a small explosion in the villain's face.
"Something tells me it did work," Shayera said.
John took the opportunity to create a ship and send it straight to Darkseid who couldn't block it. He was sent a few meters away from them. Losing both of his eyes, especially one of them with an explosion left him weak.
"We did it," Barry said.
"Yes," Shayera said.
"We must go to make sure we catch him," John said.
"How are they going to be able to take him away in a normal truck?" Diana asked.
"We'll have to order a big ship," John said.
The four of them went and saw that Darkseid was lying on the ground. He seemed unconscious, but not having his red eyes anymore made it difficult to tell if he was unconscious or not.
"Stop," Barry said. "First, I want to apologize to you three. You didn't deserve me keeping the pact Kal and I made from you. I know it was stupid not to have told you about it. I regret not having told you, but the thing is that I didn't like anything about Zone C. I followed Kal many times. I did it when we were cadets in training, so it was easy for me to accept that pact. Now, we're in a terrible fight against this thing, but I don't like being on a mission if you guys are mad at me. I ask for your forgiveness."
They watched as Barry got down on his knees. Shayera was still annoyed with him, but every time Barry got on his knees it was for a certain occasion. It was usually when he screwed up big time like when he once forgot her birthday and he gave her a cake to apologize on his knees along with her favorite sugary drinks. She knew that he was sorry.
"I'm still mad that you didn't tell me about it, and kind of sad, but I know what you said is true, Barry," Shayera said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "I think I can forgive you even if you leave the Zone after we're done with this."
"What do you think?" Shayera asked Diana and John.
"I would still be angry, but seeing you like this is quite effective. Not quite, but it feels like an apology," John said, but he didn't smile. He still had his reservations.
"I'm angry at how hypocritical you and Kal were, but we must continue with the mission. I'll just tell you that if you decide to stay like Kal do it because you want to, not because we ask you to" Diana said, still visibly angry.
They were interrupted when Darkseid jumped up again with a huge jump and slammed his hands on the ground, sending many concrete stones flying to the Rangers. They couldn't Dodge them and were momentarily knocked down.
"Seriously? Can he still fight without both eyes?" John asked.
"It seems so," Diana said pulling a Morpher sword out again.
"How can we beat him?" Barry asked.
"I don't know," John said.
"J'onn, you must think of something. We can't go on like this for long," Shayera said, calling him by her Morpher.
"I'm doing my best," J'onn said.
XXX
Base of Zone C.
J'onn was still frustrated. He couldn't connect in any way to the box in front of him. Despite his best efforts and all his connections, he couldn't do it. He had to do something. His Rangers and his commander were in trouble, and there was still no viable solution. No one else could come to help him.
"Wait a minute…that's it. I need a techie better than me to be able to connect to this box. And I think I already have the solution," J'onn thought to himself.
With this, he called out to a Justice League base. He needed to talk to the commander of that area to send him. As he did this, he couldn't help but think about what his commander was doing to rescue Kal from the hands of Darkseid's creatures.
I think many didn't like that Diana was the first to attack Darkseid out of anger, but I'm convinced this was the most consistent thing to do. She still can't fully control her temper, while the others are in a better situation. Obviously, I have to continue to develop that aspect of his personality.
Outside of that, what's up? Did you like the battle? Do not forget to leave your comments to improve with the writing of this fic.
