Throwing his clothes on, Naruto rocketed from his house, skipping the stairs entirely as he vaulted over the railings and tore down the streets. Ignoring the stares and indignant shouts, Naruto grinned wildly on his way through his village. That's right, his village. He owned this place. No matter what anyone else said, this was his kingdom.

Naruto almost tripped as the screen practically spit in his face. He'd show this stupid screen who was the boss… but not now, instead he was focused on one thing, and one thing only. Smiling widely, he slammed through the doors of the Academy, and launched down the hallway, ignoring the shouts of the other teachers and few students dotting the halls, and eventually made it to his classroom, sliding the door open with a triumphant "Ha! Suck it Game, I'm awesome!"
"Naruto!?" Iruka was standing nearby his desk, a piece of chalk in one hand as he glanced between the boy and his empty chalk board.
"Morning, Sensei! I'm on time today!"
"On time." The man sputtered in disbelief. "You're ten minutes early! Who are you and what have you done with the real Naruto?"
"Ten minutes?" Naruto frowned in thought. The game had made it seem like he was going to be late. Or maybe he would have been if he took his normal path…
A ding went off, and he turned towards the blue window that appeared, ignoring Iruka-sensei as he read.

Shaking his head, but smiling all the while, Iruka ruffled the boy's hair. "I should have known it was too good to be true. What happened? Did you reset your alarm clock wrong? Well, no matter, you're early for once, and I can't help but tell you that I'm proud of you."
Naruto beamed at the words. This was—Ding!

Right, normally he'd get stuck in the back, away from everyone else, though that was usually because he was late and send back there… though today it wouldn't be a bad idea. He could use the alone time to look at the game. Ding!

Several minutes passed as the other students slowly filtered into the room, but eventually, Iruka began the lesson for today, and just as Naruto was about to look into his new situation, it came to him.

Summary: Iruka Umino lost his parents during the Kyubi attack almost eleven years ago. Since then he has grown to be a kind and compassionate man, that would do anything to protect his students, especially his favorite student, Naruto Uzumaki. Though he would never admit it.
Naruto almost choked up at the summary and starred at his favorite teacher in a new light. He would have to make the man proud… maybe when he became Hokage he'd be able to give the man a much needed vacation… and a pay raise, a sweet glorious pay raise.

These missions give a variety of rewards, but generally offer the largest EXP values, and can change fate itself! Urgent Missions are sudden, popping up at random. [Gamer: The Gamer is a lucky person. As the only being blessed with the skill, the gamer gains plus one luck on level up, as well as plus one DEX. They also receive a 10% chance to successfully dodge and a 5% chance to deal a critical hit.]
[Academy Student: With this title, the gamer gains plus one DEX, INT, and WIS per level. While paired with the Job Academy Student, the Gamer also receives a 33% leveling bonus to E-Ranked techniques and skills, as well as a 10% EXP bonus.]
Naruto groaned at that information. If he had waited to claim that EXP, he could have gotten even more! He groaned into his hands, wincing as Iruka called him out. After a quick apology, he turned back to the screen and chose the second option. For now, he'd keep it on. Later, he could change it once he got more used to the EXP claiming.

[Skills are invaluable abilities that can easily extend your life in this harsh Shinobi world. By studying scrolls, reading books, or being taught by someone knowledgeable in a subject, the user can gain new skills. These skills are ranked E- to S and can evolve or devolve into new skills. For example, if the user swings around a staff, he may learn Crude Bojutsu. By continuously using Crude Bojutsu and getting to its maximum level, the skill can evolve into Beginner's Bojutsu. This is only a possibility, and the evolution is effected by the user's INT and WIS, as well as other skills.]
"Before I continue." He poured his five attribute points into STR, and frowned as his arms felt funny. He'd show Sasuke who was strongest now, but for now he had more to do, and pressed on. "Skill List."

Kawarimi (Lvl 5 47%) E Rank: The Body Replacement Technique. The instant before they are to be struck by an attack, the user replaces themselves with a nearby object. Current smallest size = A two by four piece of wood. 15 Chakra per use.
Bunshin (Lvl 2 13%) E Rank: The Clone Jutsu. For this technique, users create one or more images of themselves that are intangible, and cannot deal damage. Mostly used for distractions. 5 Chakra per use.
Naruto winced at the last jutsu and quickly went down the list, trying to ignore his worst technique.
Beginner's Shurikenjutsu (Lvl 4 88%) E Rank: The basic of Shurikenjutsu. Gives a passive increase to throwing any object that is near in size to a Shuriken or Kunai. 8% Accuracy when paired with the Throwing Skill. 8% Damage with Throwing Weapons. 2% DEX.
Beginner's Taijutsu Conditioning (Lvl 5 99%) E Rank: By conditioning the body and mind, your effectiveness with Taijutsu is increased. Grants 5% learning speed in Beginner Taijutsu styles and 5% STR.
Beginner's Academy Style (Lvl 3 1%) E Rank: The basics of the basics, only a civilian child could fight worse when up against this technique. Passively increase STR and DEX by 3% when in use.

"Now then, if Naruto is finished ignoring us, perhaps he would be interested in joining us outside?" Glancing around, Naruto realized that the entirety of the class had gathered down at the bottom of the room, near the door. Right, they were practicing throwing today, weren't they?
"Sorry, sensei, I'm just not feeling well today." Naruto gathered his things and rushed down, joining the rest of the class.
"Well, let's get going, anyway. If you need to sit out of practice today, just let me know."
"I'll be fine, Iruka-sensei! I can do it."
"What an idiot." He heard the whispers and frowned inwardly.

"Already?" He wondered if all skills would level that fast…
Slowly, the students filed out of the Academy, heading to the target range as Naruto reflected on his new—what would this even be called? A skill, ability, maybe a bloodline? With a frown, Naruto also realized he was taking this very well…

"What did that mean?" He muttered, ignoring the looks he received.
[The Gamer's Mind (Lvl MAX) Skill Revealed!]
[The Gamer's Mind is a passive skill that can be unequipped at any time and reapplied. When Equipped, The Gamer's Mind grants immunity to all B- Rank and lower Genjutsu. Allows the User to keep calm and collected during tough periods or interactions. It allows the user immunity to all Mind Infiltrations and keeps the user from being possessed. The Gamer's Mind also lets the user ignore killing intent and bloodlust within a twenty level range. However, there are downsides. This skill can stunt the mental growth of the user, interfere with their ability to use and detect Genjutsu in general, and also halt the progress of certain Achievements and Quests.]
[By Spending a Skill Point, the Gamer can unlock an upgraded version of the Gamer's Mind. This allows the Gamer the ability to equip and unequip certain aspects of the skill instead of everything at once.]
Naruto had to stop the Tutorial for now, as he lined up with the rest of the class in front of the range. He half heartedly listened to Iruka go over the same rules as usual, and prepared to grab his Shuriken pouch… Why wasn't it on his hip? Naruto mentally walked through that morning and knew for a fact he had attached it. He remembered in his rush that he had to stick his head back into his home and grab it from the table by the door. So he had it… but where did it go?
"Naruto, are you ready?"
Damn it. "I'm sorry, Iruka-sensei… but I don't have my pouch on me."
"Naruto—" The man seemed to bite his tongue, and stop himself from saying whatever he was going to. Naruto winced, preparing for the explosion to happen, but instead—"Here, why don't you use my pouch for today?"
He took the very light pouch in awe. Why had—

Naruto glanced around as the names were called and starred at the pouches the others had. He wondered if he could observe them like he had Iruka and his own items.
[Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding]
Over a dozen screens came up with lines connecting to the owners. While most of the class had Crude or Academy tiered equipment, Naruto noticed that all the Clan kids had Journeyman. That wasn't fair. Just because people had less money didn't mean their grades should suffer just because their parents were from a large family. Naruto himself always had to borrow equipment from the Academy storage. Mizuki-sensei tried, but a lot of the time all they had were rusty items that were barely considered weapons. It wasn't his sensei's fault. At least the man tried, just like Iruka.
"Form a line, and prepared to throw. Remember, five kunai, retrieve, then throw ten shuriken. Do not attempt to retrieve your equipment until everyone has finished their attempt."

"Beat that, Naruto Baka." He heard Sakura shout. With a quick glance he watched Sasuke retrieve his shuriken with a sub par hit ratio of only 73% compared to the duck butt's usual 85. Though, after a closer look, he noticed his rival had a puffy nose and dark circles under his eyes. Was the boy sick?

That caused Naruto to scowl, but why had the quest said Sasuke had challenged him? Sakura was the one that had said something? Or Perhaps it was because the boy had put her up to it. "I'll show you, teme!"
"Hrn." Sasuke simply grunted, ignoring the loud boy.
Two more sets when, and finally, it was Naruto's turn. He grabbed his first kunai and starred at the target, focusing intently. He had to—

[When focusing intently, the Gamer gains a special increase in their skills, depending on what the focus is. Focus Mode leaves the user wide open, and if knocked out of Focus Mode, the user gains a penalty.]

Throwing Skill (Lvl 6 93%) Rank E: Throwing… do you really need an explanation? When throwing an item, Accuracy is calculated by adding up your Accuracy bonuses. (Current total 51%.) A 51% means you have a 51% chance of hitting your target dead on in the exact spot you are aiming for. The rest of the 49% is then divided by your Dex to see how much you missed your target.
So he had five attempts at 51% to hit the bullseye. He liked those odds.

His first throw was dead center, and he changed his focus to just below.
Thunk! Again, he hit the bullseye, and his smile grew wider.
Thunk! He winced. The Kunai still hit the target, but was slightly off, only landing in the inner ring, just barely missing the red center.
That was fine, he just needed to—
Clang! He wanted to curse as his fourth kunai ricocheted off of the second one, fell harmlessly to the ground. Snickers erupted around him.
Playing it safe, Naruto threw the fifth kunai to the inner ring, relishing in the loud thunk as it sunk in. He glanced at the quest and noticed a progress bar. The kunai section read 74%.
With a glance around, he and the others quickly retrieved their kunai and readied for his next attempt.
His first three throws were within the inner ring, but his next hit the middle one. Two more struck the center, and Naruto allowed himself to relax ever so slightly. This allowed him to hit the middle once more. All he needed was at least hit the board three more times and he'd beat Sasuke, so he readied and—he whiffed completely. The Shuriken hit the back fence and Iruka shouted out a scolding to him. He took a deep breath and allowed himself a moment of ease to overtake him. He had to do this. This was his one shot—Thunk! Thunk! A bullseye and an inner ring shot.
"Yatta!" He jumped in celebration as his notifications dinged at him.
He glanced over the screen as he retrieved his items, grinning the whole way.

"Great job, Naruto, I'm proud of you. You got the second highest score for today!"

Chuckling, Iruka pointed out the number one student. "Shino got one more bullseye than you and didn't miss in the kunai attempt. But you still did great, a vast improvement over last time."
"Aw man."
"No need to feel down. Hey, I'll tell you what, as a reward, why don't you keep that equipment pouch? Just be aware, if you lose any, I can't just give you more."
"That's awesome, Iruka-sensei." With a lunge, Naruto wrapped his arms around the man, thanking him profusely.
"Alright, alright, Naruto, no need to make a scene." After the boy let go, Iruka gathered the rest of the students, calling out, "Alright everyone, as we only have about fifteen minutes left for class today, why don't you all leave a little early today? If you have to wait for your parents, please come with me to the entrance after retrieving your things from the room."
