"Those reptilian creatures were so beautiful," Kara gushed as the lights in the theatre switched back on, "and I didn't know that humans had achieved cloning and genetic manipulation on such a scale."
"They haven't," Harry answered as he grabbed her hand and they started to exit the room, "It was a science fiction, Kara, though I suppose someone like LuthorCorp or Wayne Industries might have some type of tech for this purpose."
"Whatever, I'm hungry! Can we go and have a pizza?"
"You just ate a single bucket of popcorn, alone I might add, and we had lunch just before we came here!" Harry said incredulously as he looked down at the blond girl, who frowned up at him in response.
"I will tell Diana you were not taking care of me," Kara promised with a raised finger making him snort before she continued, "and then tell her tha-"
"You think I am scared of her?" He asked with a raised eyebrow as he crossed his arms over his chest, unknowingly causing several girls and women around him to ogle his body as his already tight shirt was pulled even tighter across his shoulders and back.
"Are you not?"
His eyes widened at the slight Mediterranean accent of the voice, and the fact that it came from behind him instead of the grinning brat in front of him. Turning around, Harry gulped as he came face to face with the princess of Amazons. His silence was answer enough apparently, as Diana and Kara both giggled in that feminine, all-knowing way before Kara moved forwards and shook her hand.
"What are you here for?" She asked, and Diana gave her a smile as she nodded at the poster of Jurassic Park beside them.
"I came for the movie, I have always loved Dinosaurs."
"They are awesome," Kara nodded so fast that Harry almost worried her head might fly off, "War Kites and Drangs were fearsome creatures, but the Dinosaurs are nothing to scoff at."
"All right, that is enough about Dinosaurs," Harry interrupted, "Diana's show is about to start, and you have a tracker to complete at home."
Diana and Kara both nodded at his words and with a sigh, Diana ruffled Kara's hair before she walked off, his eyes following her every step of the way until she disappeared around the corner.
"Harry?"
"Yes, Kara?"
"When are you finally going to propose to her," Kara asked with wide eyes and a too-innocent tone, "Then you can ogle her every time and everyday instead of doing so like a pervert."
"You are a menace Kara," Harry groaned as he walked a little faster as if he could escape the girl following him around, "When someone warns newlyweds about not having kids, they think of troublemakers like you."
"But you love me anyway, don't you?"
"I am not the example anyone should be following, too much torture kinda screwed with my brain."
Kara threw her hands up in the air and groaned at his morbid humor, "Once again you ruin a perfectly good mood with your dark, dumb and disgusting humor."
"Heh," Harry scoffed as he looked down at her, his lips curling a little, "But you love me anyway don't you?"
"It is kind of a no-brainer Harry," Kara said as she came in front of him and started walking backward, expertly avoiding the people, "You are the only one I associate with, out of necessity I might add, so of course you would get that impression."
"Hmm," Harry hummed at that as he looked down at her before a too cheerful grin spread on his face, "No tacos for you tonight, and you can forget that treacle tart I was going to make you."
Kara gasped at that and her hand shot forwards towards his stomach, only to crash into his palm, not even stopping his stride as he winked at her and ruffled her hair.
"You are a few years too young kiddo," he drawled making Kara pout up at him, even as she fluidly swerved around a couple taking selfies, "Try that when I am old and wrinkly, and suffering from arthritis."
"You are mean, Harry, tormenting a little lost girl like me."
"I know, how cruel of me right?"
"So," Harry began as they finished eating their dinner, bringing Kara's attention to him, "Diana called me today, said she managed to talk another man into a meeting, a Meteoriticist she knows, we have to be there on Thursday at 11 AM."
"Tha-That's great news!", Kara shouted as a wide smile broke out on her face and jumped down from the counter before hugging him tightly, grinning at him all the while. Putting his arms around her, Harry cleared his throat and spoke
"Diana told him that you are my sister, and you kinda needed to learn about some of the notable meteorites that fell on Earth in the last two decades for a school project."
"So," Kara raised her brow, not seeing the point in Harry's words, "I don't see why that made your heart rate speed up."
He looked away at that and mumbled out something, which to human ears might have been inaudible, but Kara heard it as clearly as she would have had it been shouted by him.
"Are yo-, Harry," she said, her incredulous gaze somehow making him flush as he rubbed the back of his head, "I don't have a single problem with you being my big brother. If you haven't noticed, we've behaved like siblings for a long time now. Hell, I heard Mrs. Watson comment about it a week ago!"
"Well, it isn't as if you ever said it to me," Harry said, "and how am I supposed to know if you view me as a brother or not. I didn't have a sibling when I grew up!"
"Yeah? Guess what Sherlock, I didn't have one either, I have something else which you seem to lack!"
"What?"
"A functioning brain instead of the hormonal cesspool you have brewing between your ears!"
Harry sputtered at that and pushed her away from him lightly as he glared down at her, the intimidation failing in the first two seconds as he cried, "I don't have a hormonal cesspool for a brain!"
"You were two seconds away from drooling when we last saw Diana," Kara deadpanned, making him blush as his mind momentarily flashed back to the tight shirt and jeans the woman in question had worn that day, which had left little of her figure hidden.
"See? I can practically see the tension between you two," Kara exclaimed as she pulled up a chair and sat on it. "Why don't you two just get over this weird courtship and flirting you both have going on and just admit it to each other? Diana obviously likes you, hell she was blushing that time we went to the pool and you just stripped in front of her like the shameless dog you are!"
"It isn't that easy!" He snapped and the wall in front of him shattered instantly, his tight control over his voice slipping for a moment, making Kara jump a little before he repaired the wall and paced a little.
"Kara, I am sorry for that," he sighed as he conjured a chair and sat down on it, "It's just that I loved Faora, and I still love her, but I never thought I would come to like Diana too. And now I am unsure of what to do because as much as I hate the thought, Kal-El's little stunt may have very well separated us across universes, for us to be separated forever!"
"So what is the problem?" Kara asked slowly, "Forgive me for my bluntness, I mean it is quite possible that you and Faora won't ever be reunited."
"I know that," Harry said, frustration dripping from each word as his head dropped into his hands and he clutched his hair, "and I want to give whatever is brewing between Diana and I a chance, but what if Faora arrives here, only to see me with another woman."
"That is something you and Diana have to work out between yourselves," Kara said as she came forwards and laid her hands on his, "I am not mature enough to give you relationship advice Harry, all I know is science and maths. But even I know that Diana and you have something going on between you both, so just talk with her?"
"Since when did you get so knowledgeable about relationships?" Harry asked as he looked up at her before he hugged her, "I swear you spend too much time on your devices."
"Yes, well someone has to keep up with the world and its customs right?", Kara asked and patted his head, "Besides, I wouldn't be a good sister if I didn't help you."
Harry couldn't say anything in response as his throat closed up, but the hug getting tighter was all the response Kara needed, her face breaking out into a megawatt smile as she snuggled into him.
A single thought went through both of their heads at that moment, that they weren't alone any longer.
"Come in, Come in, Mr. Potter and Miss Potter, right?" Kane Williams, a bespectacled, old man asked and received a nod from Harry before he waved at the chars in front of him, "Diana told me that you wanted to talk to me?"
"Yes, Dr. Williams," Harry nodded as he sat down. "My sister here wanted to do a presentation on the notable meteorites which have entered Earth's atmosphere in the last few years, and Diana mentioned how you have been studying meteoritics since before either of us had been born."
"Hmm, it is quite good to see the younger generations taking interest in the world around us," The man said as he looked towards Kara. "Tell me, Kara, what prompted you to take such an interest in such an unknown field? It is rare for one to know that a word known as Meteoritics even exists, most just say it's Astronomy."
"Well," Kara began hesitantly, as she glanced towards Harry, "Our parents died during an accident a few years ago. I was very little then, but Harry told me that they had gone stargazing because my father somehow came to know that a meteor shower was going to happen that night and he wanted our mother to witness it."
"Oh," the man murmured, his gaze dropping to the table for a moment before he looked up at both of them. "I am terribly sorry for bringing up those memories for you two, I had not ima-"
"Ahem," Harry cleared his throat and interjected, "Professor, we appreciate your words, but Kara and I both are pressed for time, so…"
"Ah yes! I am free for the next thirty minutes, and there is no harm in satisfying her queries till then. Who knows, she may very well become a meteoriticist!" Kane said and turned towards Kara, who started off with little questions about how one predicted the trajectory of an asteroid, how the age of the rock was calculated, if there were any harmful properties in the rocks, and so on.
Kane answered every question patiently, and in a way that was sure to make even the dumbest of kids understand what he was talking about. It was after a few minutes that Kara asked, "Professor? Do you have the knowledge of any meteorite that was recorded to have struck the Earth, but was never found?"
"Ah yes," Kane chuckled as he leaned back into his seat, "the mysterious disappearances always interest everyone out there, don't they? I know of five such instances, Kara. Was there one in particular that you were curious about or did you want to hear about all five?"
"All five if you don't mind. Chronological order would be nice as well please," she replied, "makes it easier to present data that way."
"Hmm," he nodded and began speaking after a few moments, "The first one happened back in the early '70s, above Texas. It was big enough to wipe a small town off the map and we were all watching its trajectory while clearing out any potential hit sites in case the meteor deviated from its path. However, about a kilometer from the surface, it suddenly disappeared from our tracking equipment's sensors and when we went to the site, it turned out that a private Helicopter had crashed into it. To this day we don't know how the pilot didn't hear the airspace warnings we had broadcasted."
"The second one happened above Kansas sometime after that," he said as he typed something on his keyboard and turned the screen towards them, letting them both see uniformly shaped, superheated rock falling through the sky, "Strange one too, meteors are never so…smooth. There are always slight irregularities or deformations along the surface. The crash was mapped out to be in Smallville, but when our team got to the location, there was nothing in the whole town that would suggest that a meteorite had crashed there."
The photo was blurred, but for Kara, the slight lines on it were visible beyond the glowing corona surrounding it, which was enough to tell them what it was. A Kryptonian spaceship.
A gasp escaped her lips and she clutched Harry's leg with a bruising grip, making him glance at her with surprise before he too focused on the image and blinked when he realized Kara's thoughts. Harry snapped his fingers beneath the table and Kane blinked for a moment before he looked at the watch on his wrist and exclaimed, "Good God! I am terribly sorry for this, but I have an important obligation at the moment. I will have to cut this meeting short, I apologize, Kara but perhaps we can meet sometime later for your project?"
"That would be perfect," Harry said as he grasped the still shocked girl by her shoulders and pulled her up with him, "Thank you for your time, Dr. Williams."
His confundus working like a charm, Harry and Kara both quickly got out of the premises, but before Harry could say anything Kara shot upwards into the air and started flying westwards. While the humans around him were utterly unaware of her actions, Harry groaned as his eyes tracked her movement, and with a muttered curse, he ran into the crowd and switched his invisibility on before apparating up into the atmosphere.
His mind worked faster than most computers as he watched her fly and calculated Kara's path within a fraction of a second before he appeared right in front of her. Her eyes blew wide open as she tried to stop herself from crashing into him, but a single raised palm from him froze her entirely. A frown came over his face as he floated forwards towards Kara and apparated them both down into their home.
As soon as they reappeared inside the living room, Harry removed the petrification from Kara and crossed his arms over his chest as he glared down at her. He raised an eyebrow when she too crossed her arms and glared up at him, her blue eyes turning a little red as she growled, "What was that? Why did you stop me from going to Kansas? I know that was a Kryptonian craft, WHY THE FUCK DID YOU STOP ME?!"
It was only prior experience and superhuman reflexes on his part that allowed Harry to raise a forcefield around Kara, stopping the sound waves then and there before she brought down the house around them.
"Think, you impulsive girl," Harry said as he lowered the forcefield, "You were flying through American airspace without any thought to the fact that your flight could have easily been detected by anyone watching the skies. And blasting off like that in the middle of the public? You are quite lucky no one was paying attention to us! For all we know, your little trip and sudden disappearance to the naked eye has already caught the attention of someone!"
The fire behind her irises cooled down and her blue eyes widened as his words sunk into her brain. Kara closed her eyes and went back to the moment when she had idiotically decided to straightaway fly towards Kansas. She recalled every speck of information her eyes had seen in that area and her worst fears were confirmed as she spotted no less than three cameras in her vicinity, which could have possibly recorded her during that moment.
"Oh shit!" She swore and smacked herself on the forehead before looking at Harry, who raised an eyebrow at her.
"There were three cameras there that I know of which could have recorded us when I flew away."
"Fuck!" Harry swore loudly and started pacing back and forth, "I understand the excitement you must have been feeling, Kara, but if someone watched you disappear… then there is no guarantee of what kind of shitstorm will knock on that door by tomorrow. That was stupid of you!"
He ran his hands through his hair and Kara felt her eyes tear up despite her best efforts to keep them in as she finally caught on to the magnitude of her impulsive decision. Her already hyperactive mind created even more potential outcomes of her blunder and without another word, she started to move towards the main door.
"Where are you going now?" Harry asked as he saw her with tears almost spilling out of her eyes.
"I don't want to cause any trouble for you," Kara said as she hunched in on herself, "I will probably find somewhere to stay and co-mmph!"
Kara's words were muffled as Harry turned her around and hugged her so tightly that she even felt fleeting pain in her bones. Her arms automatically wrapped around his back as she felt him run his fingers through her hair.
"You silly girl," Harry chastised as he pulled a little back and looked her in the eyes, his own eyes slightly wet, "I will never let you be alone, so knock that bullshit right out of your head. You are my sister, and that means you are stuck with me forever Kara."
A wet, choked laugh escaped her mouth as she nodded at his chastisement but then reality came crashing down on her and she asked, "But what will you do if someone comes for me?"
His eyes glowed a little at that, the emerald irises coming alight with fire as he bared his teeth a little, "Then they will have to go through me."
Kara didn't doubt him at all, and a single thought went through her head as she went back to hugging her brother, 'Rao help anyone who comes after me now, he is…what was the term? Ah yes! He is such a mother hen!'
It had been two months since that incident, and things had returned to normal when not a single black van or a platoon of armed soldiers arrived at their doorstep. During all this time, Kara had begged and pleaded with him for both of them to go to Kansas, but Harry had absolutely refused to let her take a step out of the house.
Though calling it a house now would be misleading, Kara thought as she sulked inside her bedroom, her eyes staring up at the ceiling. Harry had warded the place apparently, and in his own words "not a single thing could harm her as long as she was inside the walls".
Wards to prevent any external projectile from entering the house and barriers over every inlet to prevent any harmful gas or chemicals from making it inside the walls. And the last one worked by reading the emotions and thoughts of the people coming within 25 yards of the house, and if they were found to be nefarious or even slightly negative towards Kara, then they would fall unconscious then and there.
She had tried to change his mind by bringing Diana into the matter, but the Greek woman had simply told her that Harry was doing no wrong and that she wasn't to step a single foot out of the door unless given a green light by him.
Bloody adults!
Her thoughts were broken as the front door opened up and she grit her teeth as she stomped her way out—not that it did anything, Harry had hardened everything to hell and back after Kara started throwing tantrums.
"I have been lying down, for seventy days!" She shouted as she came out of her room, only to freeze up as she locked eyes with a thoroughly flustered and panting Diana, who was held up by Harry with her legs around his waist and his back towards her. A bright red blush spread across her face as she squeaked and ran back into her room.
"Fuck," Harry cursed as he laid his head on her shoulder and heard Kara lock her door, "That was awkward."
"Not as awkward as your proposal though," Diana giggled as she patted his head, "Let me down Harry, as much as I would like to continue where we left off, I think Kara may not like it."
"My proposal wasn't awkward," Harry retorted as he removed his hands from her hips, "It was…instinctual and purely from my heart."
Diana laughed at that, making his stomach flip on itself as she stroked his cheek, her dark eyes glittering with amusement.
"You told me that you didn't have a single idea of what would become of us if Faora arrived back in your life, but you loved me too much to leave me be. Our relationship started because you couldn't decide between your past lover's memories and me."
"When you put it like that," Harry said as he rubbed the back of his head, "It does sound awkward and ill-thought."
"You are lucky I find your body irresistible, Harry Potter," she said as she walked into his bedroom, his eyes following her swaying ass all the way, "Otherwise you would have had no chance with a princess like me."
"I seem to remember you praising my intelligence and personality too, Diana!" He called out as he followed her.
"Do you? My my, someone's head has been in the clouds lately," she said as she turned around and crossed her arms under her chest, making his eyes dip down to the cleavage she was revealing in that tight jacket, "and I think I have found my proof regarding that."
"And whose fault is that?" He said as he closed the distance between them, his hand reaching out to cup her cheek, making her lean into his hand.
"It is your fault, Diana of Themyscira. You are compassionate, wise, intelligent, and beautiful beyond measure. How can my head be where it is supposed to be when I am busy thinking about you every time?"
She kissed his palm, making shivers run up his spine as she laid her own hand on his cheek and leaned in before pressing her forehead against his.
"If only you had asked me to be your girlfriend with that line," she whispered, her breath ghosting across his lips as he lost himself in those smouldering blue eyes, "I adore the childishness you let out when you are with Kara and I admire the serious countenance you possess when the situation demands it. I love all of you, Harry Potter, everything good and bad, light and dark about you, I love all of it."
"I love you too Diana Prince, your smile, your words, your laughs, your passion for history, I love every part of you Diana, and I swear to cherish you like you are meant to be."
With that, he closed the distance between their lips and kissed her. Their lips moved slowly against each other and their bodies melded together as he poured his heart and soul into that kiss. Warmth spread out throughout his body, and Harry pulled back for a second to look at her pinked face and the mile-wide smile on her face before with a muttered "Gods, I love you," he dived right back in to feast upon her lips.
He had enough thought to erect a silencing ward around his room, before the kiss deepened and Diana's hands began to wander, while his hands found her divine ass, and all thought quickly fled his brain.
"Kara!" Harry called out as he flipped the omelet, "Breakfast is ready, come out of your room!"
A second later Kara was sitting on the chair, the blonde happily munching on bread and omelet as she grinned from ear to ear. Harry rolled his eyes at her but smiled nonetheless as he too sat down beside her.
"Are we going to teleport there?"
"Probably," Harry said as he snapped his fingers and cleaned the tabletop of any crumbs. "Though I really feel like going on a road trip you know. Just imagine the wind blowing over your face as we ride that bike through the country."
"I can fly," Kara deadpanned, making him look at her with a glare.
"Yes yes, rub it in why don't you," he grumbled, "Even a deaf person would have known it by now with how much you advertise that fact."
Kara just winked at him and stuck her tongue out before she pranced out of her seat and pulled him towards the door, her infectious excitement making him laugh as he picked her up in his arms. She squealed loudly at that, her fists hitting him over his head and back as she demanded him to let her go, but Harry just flicked her nose and told her to shut it before he entered the garage and deposited her on his BMW. She grumbled a little about getting him back for it once she was as tall as him, as she scooted a little forwards to get more comfortable on the seat. He sat behind her and conjured a pair of shades for them before he placed an illusion of helmets on their heads to keep the policemen away. A wave of his hand opened the garage door, and a second later the tires squealed loudly as he shot out at full throttle, his home locking down completely as the wards registered the absence of both of them.
Kara whooped with glee as Harry quickly sped through the outskirts of the city before arriving on the highway, and then with a small wheelie, he accelerated rapidly. The speedometer quickly reached its limit while Harry weaved and moved through the traffic as easily as he moved into a kitchen. Now that they were on the highway, Harry allowed the illusioned helmets to disappear and Kara screamed wildly as her hair whipped around in the wind.
"Hey Kara," Harry said as he swerved around a truck, "Take the handle!"
"What?" Kara gasped as she looked back at him before a toothy smile appeared and she grabbed the handle and her legs came to rest beside his own at the brake and the gear. He slowly eased his hands and feet of their positions, and Kara took over without any problem as she slowed for a moment, getting a feel of the ride thrumming beneath her.
"Oh, this is going to be amazing!"
With that breathless exclamation, the Kryptonian teenager pulled the accelerator back fully and with a shift of her wrist, activated the small switch Harry had installed in the handle, one which would activate the magical runes which would, in turn, allow the rider to go at almost 500 kmph, a staggering 200 kmph faster than what it could do normally. Runes flared up along the whole frame for a second as the metal was strengthened and magic from the air around them started to be sucked inside to compensate for the energy requirements. With a shout of "Oh yeah!" Kara started to speed up even more, the rush from the experience making her laugh madly as she drove the motorcycle.
Within 8 hours they were entering Kansas, Kara having slowed down once the excitement of getting her hands on the ride died down. As they entered the town proper, Harry took over the wheels and reformed the helmets over their heads before they started to move towards Smallville.
"Harry"
"Hmm?"
"How are you going to find the spaceship when years of searches haven't revealed anything…and how would you even know where it crashed?"
When Harry didn't say anything for a few moments, Kara chanced a look up at him and found him straight ahead at the farms, avoiding her eyes.
"Harryy…"
"I never thought about it," he admitted, some color making its way on his cheeks, making her almost choke him, "I thought you had it covered."
"You mean to say we came more than 1200 miles away without you thinking on what we were to do here?" Kara asked incredulously, utterly stupefied by his absentmindedness.
"I was on a date with Diana yesterday night," he protested as he stopped the bike and got down, "Besides, you are smarter than I am, what have you thought up in that brain of yours."
"My smartness is not the point of debate here," she crossed her arms and glared at him, "You are just too busy getting cozy with Diana to think about anything non-perverted."
"Tha- That is none of your…", Harry trailed off as his eyes focused on something beyond her, and he started to walk towards it. Kara turned around and followed him, and they both came to a stop after a few meters, where he knelt down on the ground and lifted up a piece of metal almost as big as her.
Both of them looked at the parallel gaps in the metal sheet, their position about two inches apart and the edges looking as if the metal had melted.
"He was here," he said as he looked around them at the quaint little town, "But this still doesn't give us a way of tracking Kal-El."
"Maybe we could talk to the people here?" Kara said as she lightly bounced on the balls of her feet.
"Out of the question," he shot back immediately as he threw the rusted metal away. "Because I really don't feel like explaining to someone why a food truck owner and a teenager would want to know about a meteor that landed here more than twenty-five years ago, and why would anyone be interested in a piece of metal."
"Then how will we find him?" Kara asked frustratedly and Harry sighed. He could understand where she was coming from, but there was simply no way they could track Kal-El down…unless there would be no need to do so?
"Kara, how did Zod look in this Universe?"
"Short hair, black eyes, a goatee, and an angular jaw," Kara rattled off, bemusement visible on her face, "Why are you asking it?"
"There are similarities between Universes, or at least I believe so. When I fought Kal-El in Metropolis, there were two really old buildings which we destroyed completely. I remember it only because I replayed that fight so many times in my mind," he said as he looked at her, "However when I went through that area of Metropolis two years ago in this Universe, there was only one building there, the other one was occupied by a small cafe."
Kara's mind worked through all that Harry had told and showed her of his encounter with Kal-El and her eyes widened in realization as she looked at him.
"You believe he will become a hero once again," Kara said, "You want him to reveal himself instead of searching for him."
"It is better that way," he said patiently as he kneeled down, "I know you worry for him, but he has been here for about 20 years already Kara and despite you wanting to take care of him, he is already older than you by this point. And I know you won't like this, but I am not going to allow you to reveal your own secret to find Kal-El."
Kara looked at Harry blankly, stunned out of her mind as she clenched her fists. Despite wanting to rage and scream at him, she knew that he spoke the truth. When she had given some thought to it back at home after the whole debacle of her flying away, she had sobbed bitterly at the fact that she couldn't even come to Earth in time to care for her baby cousin. But she had put that realization on the backburner, her whole focus on finding Kal-El and reconnecting with the last blood family that she had. She had not shared her pain and feelings with Harry, finding herself unable to dampen his high spirits after he and Diana had begun dating.
"Are you sure he will become a hero? That we will find him this way?"
"I don't know whether he will be a hero or a villain, Kara," he sighed. "That will depend on what his upbringing was, but someone of our powers and abilities can't hide in this world for long, and given what I saw of Kal-El in the other Universe, he was also around the age this one would be."
"What do you mean?" Kara furrowed her brows, "I know you hide perfectly well amongst the humans, you don't go on altruistic trips as the 'Phantom', and neither does Diana do any 'hero work' as you put it."
"I blend in well because I have experience with having unusual powers and having to live in normal society even before I got my Kryptonian powers. That and I always tried my best to not be noticed when I was younger. Diana doesn't do it because there isn't any need for her to do so at the moment," Harry said as he sat on his bike and Kara climbed up behind him. "Besides, I may have to don my cloak someday soon."
"Why?"
"Just a feeling you know," he said as his gaze wandered off to something far off, and he frowned when Kara giggled behind him. "What? Do you think only women have a monopoly on intuitions?"
"Considering you lose half of your brain cells in a certain woman's presence, I think yes."
"That's it," Harry muttered as he started the bike, "You aren't getting any dinner tonight."
"Please," she scoffed and wrapped her arms around his waist, "you won't be able to say that to my face when we reach home."
Hours later, Kara happily ate the lasagna and the salad he had prepared for her specially, after a large dose of what humans had termed as 'puppy-dog eyes', her satisfied smirk not leaving her face for even one second as Harry resolutely avoided her gaze and sulked on the couch, grumbling about bratty sisters and headaches.
I am pretty happy with how this chapter turned out, but then again, I may be a little bit biased. Tell me your views instead, that will only help me grow as a writer.
I am also working on an OG novel with my friend. We are about to start writing it next month, so forgive me if the update rates drop, though I will try my best to keep them at 1/month.
