She's a God

"Hey, dude? Check that out." Static Shock tapped on Garfield's arm and pointed at the dancefloor of Starfire and Nightwing's wedding after-party.

The Changeling had been chatting with other superheroes for a while now. Before he even turned around, he noticed whatever Static Shock was pointing at had caught the attention of the rest of their table as well, as they were now all grinning excitedly or staring idiotically at something, with their jaws on the floor. He also simultaneously recognized the familiar melody of Livin' La Vida Loca (Ricky Martin) playing loudly at the party.

"No freaking way!" Speedy said breezily, folding his arms behind his head.

"She's into superstition…"

Garfield was beyond curious at this point, so he finally turned around to see what all the fuss was about. And then his breath caught in his throat. Oh. So THAT'S what they're all staring at.

"Black cats and voodoo dolls…"

Raven was in the middle of the dancefloor, with all eyes on her, but it was more than that. She was dancing more freely than ever before. She was barefoot, tossing her hair, bending her back and rolling her shoulders, being playful, breezy and sexy in her long magenta dress. In reality, she seemed a little bit drunk. The Changeling smiled absentmindedly at the sight. He could see guys crowding around her and it made him a little jealous, but he wasn't worried. She wasn't even looking at them; she was having her own fun and he loved watching it. The lights started flickering because of her bliss, but no one seemed to care.

"…and go dancing in the rain…" Starfire happily joined her best friend on the dancefloor and they began dancing together in the most synchronized way.

"I told you I'd dance at your wedding." Raven said in between chuckles as she twirled around several times, her cheeks already flushed.

Kory laughed gleefully, feeling absolutely grateful for this moment.

Garfield eventually stood up and moved closer to watch them, because everyone was on their feet now and he couldn't see her from the table anymore. But he was adamant about not interrupting them, no matter how much he wanted her in his arms – because most guys were cheering and whistling and Kory was officially off limits – this was her moment with her friend and he just wanted to witness her happiness, not get in the way. It seemed like Dick wanted the same thing, because he was smiling fondly at them from aside.

"…she'll make you go insane…"

Raven pulled Starfire close and whispered something in her ear. The Tamaranean beamed at her and turned to her husband. Richard smiled widely as Kory danced towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"She will wear you out…"

Garfield swallowed, because now all eyes were on Raven again. He didn't have time to worry though, because she only took a moment looking around at the eager faces until her eyes landed on him and her smile widened. It immediately made his heart skip a beat. The empath chuckled softly and walked up to him, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and pressing her body against his, much to other people's disappointment.

The shapeshifter beamed and held onto her waist, dancing with her. And then when the last chorus came up, she kissed him. She just kissed him right on the lips, sweetly and longingly, in a rather public display of affection. His mind went blank and his chest ached deliciously. Fuck. Holy shit. She's kissing me.

Raven pulled away to stare at him with a peaceful look in her eyes. "Whops."

The Changeling was only vaguely aware of other guys dispersing at this point, because he was entirely focused on her. He was certain he had the most idiotic grin on his face, but he couldn't bring himself to stop smiling. "Hey, there."

"I think I kissed you in front of everyone." The empath giggled quietly.

The shapeshifter chuckled. "Are you drunk?"

"Just a teeny tiny bit." Raven said cutely. "Are you mad? Now everyone will know."

"Why would I be mad? And what will they know?"

"That we like each other." Raven whispered secretively.

Garfield laughed louder. "Rae, everyone already knew that."

"Oh." The empath frowned slightly and tilted her head. "Did they?"

"Mmhmm. But I don't mind this. You can kiss me anytime you want."

She smiled at him. "I can?"

"Yup." He realized the wedding band was playing Waiting For a Girl Like You (Foreigner) now and he pulled her closer, taking one of her hands in his and wrapping his other arm around her waist. He slowed their pace. "In fact, stay here. You do owe me a dance."

"I do?"

He nodded. "You slow-danced with Conner. It's my turn."

Raven rolled her eyes but moved along with him anyway. "Well, you can have all my slow dances if you want but you should know, I'm terrible at them."

Garfield chuckled breezily and glanced at their feet. "I can see that. Stop trying to lead."

The empath grunted softly. "It's haaaaard."

He laughed whole-heartedly and gave her left cheek a quick peck. "Will you regret kissing me in front of everyone?"

Raven narrowed her eyes in thought. "Mmm…nope."

"Are you sure?"

"I've been wanting to kiss you all night." She shrugged casually. "I regret nothing."

Garfield's chest ached blissfully again. "Same. You look amazing, by the way."

Raven tilted her head to the side. "You already said that, but thanks. You look handsome."

"I don't think I'm explaining this right, though. I don't think you understand. I mean, you look amazing. As in, you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."

"Now you're just being dramatic." The empath rolled her eyes again.

Nope. That would be kissing you senseless and pledging my eternal love right now, which I could easily do. The Changeling smiled. "Not really."

The party was a blissful mix of care and euphoria. For each of the Titans, it was the happiest occasion they'd ever shared together. For most of the other young superheroes there, it was the coolest night of their lives.

Raven on her end was so relieved about having done her job properly, she was almost sociable – it helped that she'd had more than two drinks. She had been chatting – or to be fair, mostly listening and making a sarcastic joke or two – with Kory, Terra, Karen and Jinx for a while since the boys mysteriously disappeared several minutes ago.

And then suddenly the music stopped and they looked at the stage to see a very cheerful Nightwing holding up the mic, while an equally gleeful Changeling whispered to the band.

"Hellooo everyone! Good night! Thank you for coming to my wedding and all that." Richard said in uncharacteristic bliss. "We're just gonna sing a song here real quick, kay?"

Garfield was standing beside him now, holding up another mic and grinning. Raven clearly wasn't the only one who'd had a few drinks.

"Kory?" Nightwing pointed at his wife. "This one's for you."

Starfire beamed at him, Raven smiled fondly and everyone else cheered loudly.

The band started playing the first notes to She's a God (Neck Deep) and Dick happily turned to the Changeling. "Help me out, man?"

He was already good to go, of course. "Thought you'd never ask!"

They started singing the first verses and acting so drunkenly silly and cute it was impossible to watch them without a smile on your face. They didn't sound bad though, and they were even harmonizing decently. By the end of the first verse, Raven realized Gar would be singing this song to her, because he made sure to stare directly at her just like Dick was doing to Kory. Her heart accelerated. And then the stupidly exciting chorus began and the two heroes turned to each other on stage, jumping up and down while singing loudly, in the most ecstatic way possible. It was a double-serenade, but it was also an important moment for their friendship.

"She's a freak like Madonna…" They sang in unison.

Raven and Starfire blushed while watching them and exchanged an amused look. Kory had a huge grin plastered on her face. Raven had a tender smile on.

The Tamaranean moved closer to the empath when the next verses began. "This is the most flattering of songs, don't you think?"

"…I've got a girl, she performs miracles…" Changeling and Nightwing turned away from each other and their eyes once again found the people they were singing to.

When they sang the second chorus, they actually pointed at Starfire and Raven a few times. Richard was much more obvious about it, but Garfield wasn't exactly subtle. He figured if she'd kissed him in public, she probably wouldn't mind a serenade. And he could see it in her face. She was flushed and taking deep breaths and he knew, he just knew, those deep breaths were to keep her powers under control. She had a cute and amused smile on her lips too. The bridge of the song came up.

"I'm her chosen one…" They sang, being somehow even more theatrical than before.

Raven could feel Starfire's extreme bliss, she could feel everyone else's care, jealousy, envy, sadness or excitement, and she couldn't stop watching him. When they charmingly and dramatically sang the word deity, she couldn't contain it anymore. She chuckled openly and hid her face in her hand as several drinks exploded in people's faces, making them yelp, jump and gasp. Keep it together, Raven. They were singing the final choruses now, so she took another deep breath and looked up. He'd definitely noticed she'd lost control for a bit – and he seemed utterly entertained.

"Carry me to Nirvana…" The heroes sang their hearts out in absolute joy. And then Nightwing shot Garfield a look and a meaningful grin as they approached the end of the song – and they both immediately knew how to finish it.

"She is the sun…" Dick sang passionately to Starfire.

"She is the thunder…" Garfield concluded breezily, smiling affectionately at the empath.

And then the two boys hugged tightly and Raven's smile turned into a grin that nearly matched Starfire's. This made her happy – not just because he'd sung to her, though that was nice, but because there was a time when she thought he and Dick would never be friends like this again. It was a good thing she'd meditated like a crazy person before this wedding, because the drinks and all this happiness were affecting her.

"That was most wonderful, was it not?!" Kory lightly shook Raven, still beaming.

Yes. Most wonderful. The empath inhaled deeply. She'd made a decision – a slightly drunken decision, yes, but that wasn't a bad thing here. She was drunk enough to have the guts to do it and sober enough to know she wouldn't regret it. "It was nice."

Nightwing found Starfire as soon as he got off stage and they had been inseparable since. Garfield had hoped Raven would find him, but she was nowhere to be seen. He swallowed any disappointment he might be feeling, because she was probably overwhelmed because of the whole party and needed a moment of solitude. He'd seen her face and he knew she liked it. She didn't have to find him now; they could talk later. Besides, after kissing him she probably just didn't want to make their unnamed thing even more public.

"So who are you wearing?" One of the paparazzi asked Starfire. "That dress is surreal!"

Koriand'r grinned hugely. "I'm actually wearing…" She looked around for her best friend. "Where's Raven?"

No one seemed to know.

Rose chuckled, turning to Dick and Garfield. "Probably on some quiet corner meditating after that song you two butchered."

Starfire rolled her eyes. "They sounded amazing." She turned back to the photographer. "Anyway, she made me this dress. With magic! So it's absolutely exclusive."

That made him take a hundred more photos.

"Wait, what!?" Richard squeaked in surprise.

The Changeling just smiled. He'd figured as much already.

"Yup." Wonder Girl stated, publishing the cute footage of Raven pulling a Fairy Godmother on social media. "I'm actually posting a video right now."

"Found her." Ravager blurted out intently, staring at the stage.

Everyone turned their necks at the same time the band stopped playing once again and Raven stumbled across the stage, whispering something to the musicians. They seemed excited about whatever it was and then she picked up a stool and the microphone.

"What on Earth is she doing?" Jinx asked with a suspicious frown on her face.

No one had a theory. The paparazzi seemed even more confused than them.

The empath sat down on the stool and cleared her throat into the mic. Some people noticed and turned towards the stage, but most people continued their chatting. "Excuse me? Shut up, everyone. I'm going to sing."

That efficiently silenced the room. Everyone was either shocked, baffled or absurdly excited and the photographers immediately started trying to find a good angle to capture the moment. Most people knew she could sing by now – there were a few videos of the sorcerer singing karaoke or soothing a gigantic Werebeast circling the internet – but it was still such a rare and unexpected occasion, especially since even the bride seemed surprised so this was definitely spontaneous and made everyone really curious. Garfield smiled widely once he got over his shock. He really enjoyed watching her loosen up.

"Okay, this goes to my two best friends who are married now." Raven said, straightening up on her seat and gesturing for the band to start playing.

Starfire squealed loudly as the first notes of the very recognizable melody began. She immediately pulled Dick by the hand towards the dancefloor, because this was an extremely romantic song, softer than the original and perfect for a slow dance.

"Oh, and also, to my boyfriend, who has serenaded me many, many times." Raven spoke into the mic, smiling at the shapeshifter and watching, fully amused, as his eyes got huge and his cheeks turned pink.

The Changeling's heart immediately skipped a beat. Every head around turned towards him and he could hear Kory and Dick shouting in approval, but he didn't look away from her. She said boyfriend. She said it publicly. But…she's a little drunk. She could change her mind, so chill out. But…she's singing to me!? WAIT. She's singing THIS song to me!? What is even HAPPENING right now?

"Remember those walls I built…" Raven began singing a slow, heartfelt, acoustic version of Halo (Beyoncé) while Kory and Dick made heart eyes at each other on the dancefloor.

Garfield silently freaked out and started wondering if the entire night had been a really good dream, because she kept singing while looking directly at him with tender, flirty eyes. There's no way this is ACTUALLY happening, right? He was vaguely aware of the gasps, the pats on the back, the light punches to his arms and the fact that anyone who wasn't watching Dick and Kory dance or watching Raven sing was definitely watching him, but mostly he was aware of her beautiful voice and his pounding heart.

"I ain't never gonna shut you out…"

When she started singing the chorus, he finally relaxed his muscles and allowed a smile to replace his shocked features. She was using her breathy voice and then going back to low and firm, playing with the notes and putting so much emotion into every single word. She had never sounded better and it made his heart soar freely in a way it never had before. Then again, she'd never done anything this romantic. He wasn't expecting it. He hadn't asked for it. And yet, there she was.

"Hit me like a ray of Sun…" Raven could tell her powers were starting to get slightly out of hand because the lights were flickering and a crack or two may have appeared on the floor, making a few people jump and shout, but Kory and Dick were still dancing and no one told her to stop, so she focused on directing her feelings towards the lyrics and letting him know how she felt without letting it get the best of her. It was difficult – especially being light-headed as she was at the moment – but it was so worth it, because his grin was so huge it could split his face in two, his eyes were welling up now and she could feel his bliss all the way from the stage.

When she began singing choruses again, Garfield was on the verge of happy tears. "Is…is this really happening?" He whispered to whoever was near.

"You're everything I need and more…"

Cyborg chuckled merrily by the shapeshifter's side. "It sure is, man."

Garfield's heart swelled with joy and love. He couldn't remember ever being this happy.

"Halo…oh…" Raven finished in a whispery voice and closed her eyes, feeling absurdly relieved she didn't cause any drastic damage through the whole song. There was obnoxiously loud applause, whistling and cheering so she opened her eyes and stared at Starfire and Nightwing first. They were beaming at her. "Congratulations, you two. I love you both." And then she glanced at the Changeling to see him indiscreetly wiping away a happy tear. "I'll see you in a minute, love."

And then she disappeared into thin air. Garfield chuckled blissfully as the general commotion gradually settled down and the band started playing again. And sure enough, after about a minute, he sniffed lavender. Raven. He turned around, fully aware his eyes were still watery and there she was, smiling at him.

"You loved it. I'm glad." Raven stated innocently.

The Changeling chuckled again, his eyes glistening, and closed the distance between them, tenderly holding her face. "Do you even know what you just did?"

"I do." The empath answered calmly, looking into his eyes. "I'm not that drunk. I know what I'm doing. I meant it."

Garfield's toothy grin got so big his cheeks ached, but he couldn't care less. "Raven my heart can't take this without previous warning, it nearly stopped."

The sorcerer just giggled softly. "I love you, Gar."

Holy shit. The aching sensation in his chest was physically painful and wonderfully so. He pulled her into a deep and passionate kiss, smiling against her lips.

Raven pulled back slightly, because she was struggling. "This is hard." She whispered. "I think I need to be powerless to be around you right now. I don't want to hurt anyone."

"Let's go home." Garfield immediately whispered back.

The empath frowned. "But…the party…"

"Dick and Kory will understand. I'll explain it to them." He said surely and sweetly, caressing her cheek with his thumb. "Go wait for me outside. I'll be there in a minute."

Raven closed her eyes and hummed quietly in contentment. "You don't have to leave just because of me…"

"Are you kidding me?" The Changeling rolled his eyes and chuckled. "All I want right now is to be with you."

She opened her eyes and beamed at him. "Okay, I'll wait outside."

Raven headed out and enjoyed the cold night air and solitude for a few minutes before noticing Conner talking to Miss Martian on the other side of the street. It looked like an emotional conversation and he seemed to be opening up. She sensed him a little nervous too, but she couldn't fully trust her powers at the moment – in fact, the last few drinks she had were finally starting to kick in and she was getting dizzier. Still…she smiled to herself. Guess I'm not the only one who likes green people.

"Ready to go?"

The sorcerer turned around at the sound of Garfield's voice. "There you are. I missed you."

The Changeling chuckled. "What? You saw me inside ten minutes ago."

Raven happily wrapped her arms around his neck. "Too long. Don't leave me again."

He wrapped his arms around her waist. Her cheeks were flushed and she was giggly, leaning on him as if she was the clingy one. Garfield chuckled again. "You're so drunk."

"And you're so cute." Raven pointed out. "My cute shapeshifter boyfriend."

His heart was soaring freely and he tried to tell it to calm down, but it was too late. There was a huge grin plastered on his face. "Oh, I'm your boyfriend now, am I?"

The empath bit her lip. "Well, I…I hope so. Will you be my boyfriend? Please?"

A car stopped in front of them and Garfield swiftly picked her up and carried her inside while she giggled. "You're gonna melt my heart if you keep acting this cute, Rae."

She started planting quick, sweet pecks on his cheek. "Good. It better beat for me."

Once she was on his lap in the backseat, he softly massaged her thighs and whispered passionately. "You know it does. You know you're my heart's exclusive ruler."

Raven blushed and one of the rearview mirrors exploded, making the driver jump. She giggled again. "Whoops. We better take my powers away soon."

"Ah, I'll pay for that." He told the driver apologetically before beaming at her. "I'm glad you can sense how happy I am right now, because I could never find the words to explain it. You sang me a love song. In front of everyone. While you look like a dream or something."

"You like my dress, huh?" She asked cutely.

Garfield grinned breezily. "I love it. You're so hauntingly beautiful. I'm so lucky."

"I'm the lucky one." Raven pressed their lips together and smiled into the kiss. "I was determined to never fall in love and then you had to go and exist and ruin all my most sensible plans by sweeping me off my feet."

He blushed and heard his heartbeat speeding up fast. She just giggled so he hugged her tightly, chuckling against her hair. "How many drinks did you have, love?"

"Mmm I dunno." She muttered against his chest. "You smell good."

"You smell like lavender. My favorite scent in the world." He whispered into her hair.

Once they were back in the tower, Raven stumbled over to Garfield's room. He followed her with an incredulous look on his face, still feeling like maybe this whole night was some amazingly vivid dream.

"Ohh." The empath suddenly stopped and frowned in deep concentration.

The shapeshifter was by her side in a heartbeat, with worry in his eyes. "What's wrong, love?"

Her lips spread into a cheeky grin. "Nothing. I think Damian and Rose are…" She lowered her voice to a whisper and giggled. "…back home early too."

The Changeling's eyes widened slightly. Oh, that's why they were nowhere to be found.

"Get my crystal for me, love? I'll be in your room." Raven said breezily, leaning on the wall for support and heading to the shapeshifter's bedroom.

Garfield decided not to argue with her and did as he was told. He did want to spend the night with her – not that he would do anything, because he'd never take advantage of her in this state, but she was being so freaking adorable and he still wanted to be around her. When he got back in his room, she immediately deactivated her powers.

Raven smiled sensually and freely. "You're so beautiful too, you know? You're the most beautiful person I know."

He wasn't completely sober. And that made his chest burn in such a stupidly good way. "You're making this really difficult for me."

The empath chuckled innocently. "Why is that?"

"You keep saying all this stuff while you look absolutely ravishing and I-"

"So ravish me." She said breezily, spreading her arms wide to indicate she was ready and wouldn't fight him.

Garfield's insides turned in anticipation and desire. Cool down. "W-what?!"

Raven just smiled. "Ravish me, love. Don't you want me? Don't you want to tear up this nice expensive dress and have your way with me? Do whatever you want to do."

She was lying on her back on his bed in a second, with him hovering over her, pinning her wrists down to the sides of her head. The sorcerer just giggled happily again.

"You're trying to give me a heart attack, aren't you?" He asked her tenderly.

Raven shot him a cheeky, excited grin. "Never. You're the love of my life."

His heart nearly stopped. There was so much sincerity and innocence in her eyes it was swelling his chest with affection on painful levels. The Changeling smiled widely and his eyes automatically darkened a bit. "What are you doing to me right now?"

She playfully bit her lip. "What are you doing to me? What are you waiting for? Do you want me to beg? Is that it? Fine, I'm begging you, love. Please touch me."

Fuck. Stay chill. Garfield reprimanded his most primal instincts, which were painfully screaming at him to do sinful things to her. "I'm not doing anything, love."

Raven whimpered and squirmed under him. "No fair! You can't look at me like that and then not do anything." She frowned under his lustful gaze. "It's turning me ooon."

He chuckled blissfully. "I want you so badly you don't even know. But…I can't, love."

"But…I want you to. You have all the power, I promise."

The Changeling's heart skipped another beat. This whole cute seductive bit of hers was extremely effective, but that didn't matter. He wasn't about to let lust get the best of him. There was a time to be an animal and a time to be a man. "It's not that. You're drunk, pet. You're drunker than me."

"Oh, that's okay!"

"No, it's not." He smiled lovingly. "We don't know if you'll be comfortable with this tomorrow. And hurting you isn't a risk I'm willing to take. I don't ever want to hurt you again. It's the worst feeling in the world."

Raven nearly pouted. "Why are you so perfect?" When he just chuckled breezily again, she couldn't help but smile. She loved seeing him happy. "Then…at least kiss me. Kiss me like this is our last night on Earth and I'm all you want. Please?"

That I can do. Garfield immediately closed the distance between their lips, releasing her wrists and bringing his hands to her hair and waist, feeling her arms wrap around him and pull him closer. They moaned into the deep, urgent, passionate kiss and relaxed as it gradually became sweet and romantic. They continued to lazily kiss each other, lying on their sides, until they fell into a peaceful sleep.

The next morning, Raven woke up to someone gently stroking her hair. She couldn't sense him, but she knew who it was. The sorcerer smiled softly and hummed. "Gar…"

"Good morning, party girl." He whispered sweetly.

Her eyes shot open. She realized she hadn't even changed or removed her make-up before bed, and Garfield was apparently the one who'd let her hair down – which she was grateful for because otherwise she would definitely have a headache now. And then Raven saw the way he was looking at her. Like he didn't have a care in the world and like she could do no wrong. Like she was the love of his life. And his green face was covered in lipstick marks the same color as her lips, which looked downright adorable.

"Well, that depends." She whispered groggily.

Garfield smiled, already amused. "Oh, really? On what?"

Raven stared at him with sleepy, extremely sincere eyes. "Are you still my boyfriend?"

His heart skipped a beat. He had to fight back a squeal, too. After all this time, she still had such a hold on him. "I'm whatever you want me to be."

A small, peaceful smile spread across her face. "I want you to be the love of my life."

Garfield fought against the urge to beam at her. "Are you sure? It's okay if you want to change your mind, Rae. I won't hold you to anything you did last night, I swear. I won't be resentful if you take it back."

She sighed, placing one of his hands on her hip and bringing her own to his chest. "Thank you. But I'm sure. I don't see a reason to pretend this isn't serious anymore."

This time he did beam at her. His heart filled with bliss. And then she kissed him sweetly and passionately at the same time.

"You look so cute with kissing marks all over your face." She whispered against his lips.

He chuckled and pulled her closer, feeling like the luckiest person in the world. After several wonderful seconds, she pulled away, still lazily caressing his hair.

"So, boyfriend…help me out of this stupid dress so I can shower and heal my head?"

The Changeling grinned. "Sure. Also, I should warn you; unless my senses are failing me I think we have guests in the tower."

When they finally stepped into the ops room, it was lunch time already. Not that anyone judged them, because they had all slept in after the wedding. Starfire and Nightwing were happily embracing each other on the couch while everyone else shared their favorite parts of the previous evening. And for some reason, as Garfield predicted, they had company. Static Shock, Blue Beetle and Miss Martian were there. The Changeling headed to the kitchen and started making Raven her herbal tea before she could, which gave her a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.

"I mean, the vows were disgustingly sweet." Jinx pondered, smiling mischievously. "But I rather liked it when they played Living La Vida Loca."

The empath could feel all eyes on her and hear suffocated giggles. Of course she would mention that as soon as I walk in. She rolled her eyes. "Yes, yes. Raven got drunk. I got it."

"I mean, that was pretty great. You should definitely loosen up more often." Conner stated in a friendly tone. "But I really liked your romantic serenade. You sounded great."

Starfire squealed happily in agreement. Nightwing just nodded and smiled at Raven. They had really enjoyed that part too, for several reasons.

The Changeling handed Raven her tea, shooting Superboy a grateful smile. "She did, didn't she? Nearly stopped my heart."

The sorcerer sipped the tea to hide the rose color on her cheeks.

"Yeah I was getting ready to perform CPR." Cyborg chuckled.

"The press loved it, too." Damian smirked. "I think you're officially back in people's good graces, Doomsday."

Jinx raised an eyebrow at the empath. "Do you even remember that?"

Raven nodded. "Of course. I remember everything. I wasn't that drunk."

"So what about…" The enchantress narrowed her eyes, looking between her and Garfield.

The Changeling chuckled when he realized Jinx wasn't the only one curious. "You all want to know if she meant it when she called me her boyfriend?"

They tripped over their words a little, trying to justify putting them on the spot.

"Yeah, don't worry." Garfield said breezily. "I woke up wondering the same thing."

Raven rolled her eyes and planted a quick kiss on his cheek then turned her head slightly to whisper in his ear. "Tell them."

The shapeshifter's cheeks blushed and his lips spread into his signature grin. She just sipped her tea again.

"Stop being all mysterious!" Terra grunted.

"Of course they're together." Speedy stated. "Look at him; he's way too happy."

Garfield beamed. "Well yeah, this dark Goddess beside me is definitely my girlfriend."

The empath rolled her eyes again, but smiled softly when everyone cheered, emanating support and approval. She eyed the three new people in the tower. "So…hi, there."

"Yes, hi." Blue Beetle grinned awkwardly. "Sorry to intrude. We, uh…well, Nightwing invited us to stay a while."

"For a month." Dick clarified pointedly.

Static Shock smiled. "Yeah basically like a Titan internship."

M'gann just gave them a shy, but genuine smile. Raven returned it, thinking it was about time they had someone else around who wasn't obnoxiously loud on occasion.

The empath nodded politely. "I see."

"Awesome!" Garfield ran over to give the guys a fist-bump and excitedly shake Miss Martian's hand. "Nightwing is an absolute tyrant, but other than that you'll love it!"

Richard smiled and rolled his eyes. "Dude! Seriously?"

The shapeshifter chuckled. "Sorry!" He turned to the others again. "I'm sure being married will soften him up."

Those were peaceful times. There was trouble on occasion, naturally, but they handled it with grace. The amount of power in their tower wouldn't be easily challenged and Nightwing made sure to keep everyone sharp. Their temporary members were learning a lot, but since they were a bit younger and more on the immature side, they definitely got on the original Titans' nerves sometimes. They'd team-up with Robin and Ravager to pull pranks and Cyborg even started begging Garfield to get in touch with that side of him again and get back at them. Gar was busy being in love, though. And with his heightened senses and her empathic abilities, the younger ones never dared to prank them.

Still, they needed to get away sometimes. And it all worked out perfectly, because Starfire and Nightwing weren't going on their honeymoon for another month. Now that Raven and Gar were official again and after all that wedding planning they'd done together, regular double-dates were a new favorite for them. They'd alternate who made the choices and the rest of them simply had to go with it. So far, they'd gone hiking, watched a ballet and taken surf lessons – in which Raven may or may not have cheated a lot on by using her powers not to fall down. Now it was Starfire's turn and this time Cyborg and Bumblebee joined them.

"A cooking class?" Dick asked his wife, thoroughly amused.

Kory put her hands behind her back and smiled coyly. "Well, yes, I…I would like to learn how to make food you all can actually enjoy and not just pretend to make me happy."

They smiled fondly at her.

Cyborg clasped his hands together. "Sounds like fun!"

"Don't worry, if there's meat I'll just turn it into tofu." Raven whispered to Garfield.

The shapeshifter beamed at her. "Remind me how I landed you again?"

When the empath just rolled her eyes, Starfire giggled and rubbed her chin. "I believe it was by being…what is the word?"

"Goofy?" Bumblebee suggested through a smile, earning a nod from the alien.

"Ah!" The Changeling grinned and wrapped an arm around Raven's shoulders. "You're both correct. That was it."

The sorcerer failed to keep a smile off her face. "Alright, are we cooking or what?"

Starfire paid so much attention and took it so seriously; Richard could barely focus on the class because he was too distracted by how endearing she was. He kept telling her too, but she just shushed him and focused on what she was doing, listening intently and trying to memorize all the instructions. He was highly entertained. Cyborg and Bumblebee were both quite skilled and completely in sync, basically dominating the class.

Meanwhile, Raven stopped midway from breaking an egg when Garfield grimaced. "What? We can't use eggs either?"

"You do know what vegan means, right?" He knew she knew, obviously. She could make several amazing vegan dishes. But this pasta wasn't one of them and annoying her was just so much fun.

The empath stared at him stoically in silence. Gar knew what this was. It was a Raven thing – a silent staring contest to stablish dominance, which she always won. This time however he sustained his stare – mostly because he wanted to see if he had the power to change her mind. He had been fully enjoying cooking with her, which for some reason was something they'd never done together. They'd cooked for each other multiple times, but never with each other. It was nice. He kept trying to wrap his arms around her to move their hands together and make a big romantic moment out of it, but she kept rolling her eyes at it, so he decided to try a different approach and be playful.

It didn't take that long. After a few seconds, Raven sighed and put the egg down. "Fine." She said in a slightly irritated tone. "We'll make pasta with no eggs and then ours will be the worst one and we'll even lose to those two." She tilted her head towards Nightwing and Starfire. "Hope that makes you happy."

"You do know this isn't a competition, right?" The Changeling asked her, resting his elbow on the counter and his chin on his hand, watching her in utter amusement.

"Whatever, I'll just fix ours with magic in the end."

Garfield faked outrage. "Now is that what magic is for? I thought it wasn't meant to be used for silliness."

The empath huffed softly, a little annoyed at the fact that he was using her own words against her. "Well, excuse me for wanting to be good at things."

He chuckled whole-heartedly. "You know, failure can be good for you."

Raven frowned at him as if that was the craziest thing he'd ever said.

"Oh, c'mon, where did all that wisdom go? You know I'm right."

She rolled her eyes. "Maybe, but I'm still not comfortable with it."

"Well, you should totally try it." Garfield smiled mischievously, burying his hand in flour. "It's liberating."

"I don't think s-gawk!" Raven gasped and stared at him in shock, because he'd just unapologetically touched her face, getting flour all over it. Her hands were covered in food as well, so she couldn't exactly use them to wipe her face clean at the moment.

The shapeshifter's heart fluttered at her deliciously endearing outrage and he grinned charmingly. "What? You were looking way too perfect. It isn't healthy."

The empath narrowed her eyes and smirked. "Oh, yeah?"

"Yes, you're welcome."

She reached out to get his face dirty as well, but he held her wrists midair and gently pushed her against the counter, smiling at her in a way that was both affectionate and lustful. Her eyes were locked with his and he couldn't look away, and she seemed slightly taken aback, but not quite upset. In fact, he could see a glint in her eyes that…

"Ugh!" Garfield grimaced when a small cloud of flour exploded in his face. Apparently he'd been too distracted staring into her eyes to notice the ingredients levitating around.

Raven chuckled. "How does that feel?"

He opened his eyes and smiled. "You sneaky demon."

"You goofy mutant." She answered playfully.

Gar chuckled. "Well I didn't listen to anything that guy said in the last two minutes, so I'm pretty sure we're going to lose and- Mmh!" He beamed at her, because she'd just gotten on her toes to give him a quick, sweet, cheesy peck on the lips. "Well, hello there."

Raven shrugged, blushing a little under the flour. "You look cute."

He grinned even wider and blushed as well. "Oh, you mean with food on my face?"

"Mmhmm." The empath nodded, turning around and going back to attempting to fix their recipe somehow, with no animal products or magic.

Gar noticed and his heart burned in the most blissful, peaceful, delicious way. He hugged her from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her left shoulder. "I get that. I probably do look cute. You don't, though."

Raven turned her head slightly to frown at him. "Well, that's a bit too unnecessarily honest."

The Changeling chuckled. "No, I mean, you don't look cute." He lovingly kissed her cheek. "You look perfect."

The empath blushed deeper and rolled her eyes, trying to focus on the task in front of her and making a silent prayer. Um…God? I mean, The Presence? Hi, it's Raven. I know I don't reach out much, but…well, if I have any credit, there's this one thing that…I mean, if it's okay with you, then…well, I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life with him.
