"You are good," Donna observed, ducking underneath a jab and locking her legs around Kara's waist and knees, before she flipped her down and straddled her, a knife rising to the crimson-blond's throat. "But you trust your durability too much sometimes, and become arrogant midway through a fight."
"Who said it wasn't on purpose?" Kara raised an eyebrow as she ignored the heat that traveled through her at the sight of the Amazonian goddess sitting on her thighs. It was at that moment that she let the conjured daggers floating at the back of Donna's neck rush forwards. The raven-haired woman just grinned at her and flipped forwards, her fingers trailing along Kara's suddenly much more sensitive neck. She gasped at that, spinning on the ground with her legs sweeping out as she grabbed the daggers, limiting herself perfectly to match her physical capabilities with that of Donna. She flipped the daggers into a reverse grip and took the kickboxing stance, however, before she could respond to the hook kick that was coming at her—and why was Donna's battle skirt so short? She could see every inch of her toned bronze thighs!—the ground shook beneath both of them, sending them crashing to the grassy land.
The amazons training or spectating around them too lost their balance at the sudden quake, all of them landing in undignified heaps across the training ground. Behind them, even the centuries-old trees weren't safe, their branches shaking and leaves falling to the ground as the sudden, mighty shake almost uprooted them all. Dust and stray leaves billowed out towards them a moment later, a visible shockwave of air sending their clothes and hair flying as the ground shook once again.
"Great Hera, what is happening? Are we under attack?" One of the women shouted, plating her spear in the ground as she pushed herself up, and slowly, everyone else too stood up. Ignoring the others, Kara grabbed Donna by her waist and flew up, intent on finding the reason for the rather strong earthquake the Island was experiencing. Reaching well above the altitude of a couple hundred feet, both of them looked eastwards as the shockwaves exploded out from somewhere between the hills—and why was half of her mind focusing on the way Donna's body was pressed against hers?!
Shifting spectrums until she was looking in the X-ray frequency, Kara flew towards the origin of the quakes even as her vision pierced through the trees and stone, enabling her to see what wa- "Oh wow". She came to a stop above the hills, and Donna gasped in her arms as they saw the scene beneath them properly. Trees were uprooted and sent through the air, and the very ground heaved and cracked as Diana and Harry clashed. Both of them watched spellbound as they witnessed the might of their elder siblings, their speed, technique, and the sheer devastation they were leveling upon the landscape was humbling for Kara and Donna.
Their bodies were nothing more than blurs even for Donna, and as for the part-Kryptonian, her words from the previous day rang true in her head. Her brother was really ahead of her in her physical capabilities. The dolt had simply not realized it because he had never really gone all out in the last few years, after the continuous solar exposure on Earth. Not that she ever used the full power she could bring to bear, Kara realized mutedly as she tracked them both, slowly lowering herself and Donna towards them.
They were trading dozens of blows in a single moment, reaching the speeds she had never before seen from either of them as shot from one end of the landscape to the other, covering hundreds of meters in an eyeblink. Even now, with her mind functioning at full capacity and her eyes unblinking, she was having difficulty in tracing and predicting each and every punch or kick. However, as time went on and their spar continued, Kara heard the sounds of wings flapping in the air, and both she and Donna turned around to look at the dozens of Pegasi flying towards them.
"What in the name of Zeus is happening here?" Hippolyta shouted as she drew closer to them, her eyes momentarily flicking over to the way her daughter was wrapped around Kara. Ignoring that for a moment as Harry's words from yesterday came back to her, she looked down at the valley below her, her mount neighing and tossing its head as harsh winds buffeted out from the clash between her daughter and her paramour, "Wh…Dear Gods."
Considering that Hippolyta had weaker senses than even Donna's, she could realize how the Queen must have felt at that moment, the spar beneath her nothing more than a series of sounds and a wrecked landscape. A silence descended upon the Amazons and Kara as they witnessed the might on display, as Diana and Harry forever altered the map of Themyscira with nothing but brute strength and sheer speed. A single punch destroyed the whole hill behind Diana, and the kick in response was more than enough to crater the ground enough for a new lake to be formed. And that was not all, Kara observed, taking in the previously lush forest, which was now nothing but a sprawling expanse of splintered wood and blowing leaves.
'Holy Fuck' she thought, barely seeing the movement of Diana's fist as it crashed into Harry's ribs, before she kicked him back into the mountain a mile away, 'Thi-This is insane! What kind of monsters are these two?! Even when training me back on the Island, Harry never showed this much…power and ferocity. And Diana is matching him blow for blow! And I doubt this is still their full power, not when this is just supposed to be a spar.'
Merlin, it was exhilarating, and it needed to be done more often, Harry decided as he slammed back first into a mountain, Diana's punch and his own durability enough to make him carve a tunnel and come out of the other side. He skipped and rolled across the ground, churning up grass and mud alike. Planting his left hand into the earth, he stopped his motion entirely as he rolled into a crouch, his eyes bright and his face split into a wide grin. It had been ages since he had sparred seriously, his practice sessions with Kara not even coming close—his wards upon his paradise were impressive, but they wouldn't have stopped the humans from detecting seismic activity if they really went at it.
But here? With the lands and protection crafted by the gods themselves? He had every intention of going as wild as he could without breaking the Island into pieces. Hell, it had been so long since he had done anything so vigorous…he had forgotten his own strength! Though, given that he was under the yellow Sun, it was only going to increase bit by bit over his life. Before he could ruminate more on the mysteries of the still rather unknown Kryptonian physiology, Diana shot through the hole he had made into the mountain, her hand rearing back for a punch. Turning his face just enough, he avoided the worst of the blow, and grabbed her arm by the elbow and her wrist. His eyes shone with victory over her knuckles as he locked gazes with her, and Harry threw her into the air.
Feeling the presence of Kara and others in the air, he decided to end the spar at that moment and apparated above the ascending form of Diana. Turning sharply, he slammed his foot into her back, sending her rocketing down towards the ground as he followed after her. Stopping beside the hole her body had dug into the ground, he looked down into the darkness, whistling slightly as he saw just how deep he had sent her into the earth.
However, he knew Diana, and he knew that in return for breaking the no magic rule, she was going to break his face in. Thankfully, as the demigoddess flew out of the earth with a snarl on her face and her fist pulled back, she caught sight of Hippolyta and the others. She gave him a withering glare and stopped, while Harry just smirked, his eyes flickering up to his sister and their spectators as they began to make their way down.
"You are lucky I saw them," she grumbled, lowering her hand as she touched down on the soil, her blue eyes alight with anger and irritation. She settled for whacking him on the head with a burst of lightning erupting out of her palm, and Harry groaned with pain and he felt divine electricity course through his brains and blood, "Are you sure you can repair all this? I took your word for it when we started, but your wards shattered and almost half the range and the whole forest is destroyed!"
"Err..probably?" He hedged, finally taking a moment to look around himself as he vanished the dirt and sweat from their bodies, leaving him in his Kryptonian bodysuit and Diana in her polished armor, "Oh yeah I can do it. Will leave me a bit winded, but It is repairable. Still, those wards were as strong as those on our Island. Good thing we or Kara never sparred as strongly back there, would have made the muggles lose their shit at the sudden tsunami and earthquakes."
"Yes, well get on with the magic Harry, before my mother decides to kick us both off her island for endangering it and its population."
"You are being far too dramatic, Diana," Harry chuckled. A chuckle that died slowly as he saw the distinctly unimpressed, somewhat angry expression on the said woman's face. Hippolyta was glaring down at them both, her eyes flicking from her daughter to him as her pegasus stopped a few feet above them, the rest of the Amazons too following her lead, each of them looking at him as if he had murdered their mothers. Sighing heavily, he chanced a look in Kara's direction, his mind momentarily returning to the previous day as he saw the way the two girls were…wrapped around each other. Shaking his head, Harry turned his attention back to who was, for all intents and purposes, his mother-in-law—and the woman whose lands he had just destroyed along with his girlfriend, "Um…Good Morning?"
"My morning will be good when you restore Themyscira to its proper, unharmed state," Hippolyta growled, her face reddening slightly as she pointed at the destruction they had left in their wake, "What in the name of Zeus possessed you both to cause such havoc?!"
"Moth-"
"Silence!" Hippolyta snapped, her eyes practically shooting fire as she glared at Diana, whose gaze lowered to the ground as she rubbed her arm. Harry, on the other hand, barely controlled his wince, his mind flashing back to the time when he had seen McGonagall actually hand out some discipline to the students of Hogwarts. Her hands tightened upon the reins as she looked at him next, and he had the mind to at least look ashamed and chastised, "I do hope that you can right the state of my lands Harry Potter…otherwise, forget about me, the Gods themselves might take umbrage and punish you."
"Err, yeah sure," he nodded, looking at the miles and miles worth of destruction his little spar with Diana had caused, "It's just, the world outside can't handle this kind of spar, and I thought that Themiscyra's wards would be strong enough to hide all the seismic activity our bout would cause."
"Wait?!" Kara interrupted, dropping Donna to her feet as she pointed at him and Diana, her eyes wide and shocked, "You mean to say that they can't?"
A wave of gasps and murmurs went through the Amazons, and even Queen Hippolyta looked alarmed as her eyes flickered between them both. Feeling more than a little smug, Harry crossed his arms and nodded at his sister, reveling in the way all of them were looki—fuck, his inner Riddle was coming out again. "I can restore Themyscira to its grandeur and beauty, your Majesty," he began, kneeling down on the ground and splaying his fingers open upon the dirt. He grinned up at her as he removed the limiter he had placed upon his own magic—a trick that had probably saved him from getting discovered by the sorcerer that had attacked yesterday. His eyes glowed emerald, and once again, Hippolyta and her Amazons felt a pressure descend upon them, though it was much lesser than the one they had experienced on their first meeting with Harry. His hair whipped in a non-existent air, and everyone moved away from him as a crimson aura began to manifest over his form, wispy and translucent like smoke.
He closed his eyes and focused, reaching out with his magic as he felt the broken trees, crumbled boulders, destroyed hills…and commanded it all to be restored. Diana grabbed her sister, and everyone flew high into the air as they felt his magic pulse out from him, and they watched with fascination as dust and bits and pieces of wood and rock began to rise into the air.
"What is he doing?" Calliope, one of the Amazons flying behind Hippolyta commented, looking down at the landscape with a frown. The Amazons were no strangers to magic, their very own existence having been a result of it, but the arcane on Themyscira was nothing like what she had seen from this human mage in the last two days. All they had were magical weapons, wards, and blessings from Demeter, Poseidon and Hestia for their various necessities and comfort. However, teleportation, elemental control—Diana notwithstanding— and matter manipulation were something that was never seen on Themyscira, save for perhaps when the Gods themselves decided to visit them.
"He is imposing his will upon the area that is to be restored," Kara answered, her far more developed senses letting her feel what he was doing, "He created an image of how he wanted the land to look, and his magic is manifesting it."
Down below, Harry grit his teeth, his skull pounding with agony as he performed magic on a scale he had never done before. Slowly, the splintered wood and the dust began to float all over the place, and crushed rocks rose as he imposed his will and power upon the fabric of reality. The disturbed and dried-up creeks, the meadows, the grass, all of it began to appear as if the very time was being rewinded. He felt each and every particle move into place all over the area, and the vapor that had moved into the air too came down onto the land. Idly, a part of his mind—that was not focused upon the massive, ritual size piece of magic he was doing—thought of what his sixteen-year-old self, one that had watched Dumbledore's reparo like it was a masterpiece would think, if he saw him now.
'Probably die of a nosebleed if he saw the women in my life,' he snorted mentally, remembering how much of a wimp he had been back then, whining about Voldemort and interfering in matters that should have been left to others most of the time. And the disaster his romantic life had been. While Ronald fucking Weasley had been sucking faces with the hottest Gryffindor in the year, he had been busy spying on Draco and pining after Ginny. What a fucking disappointment, 'Though, she did have a nic-huh? What's that?'
He paused his magic for a moment, feeling something…strange through his senses in one of the holes Diana had dug into the ground using his body. Using a fraction of his mind, Harry grabbed that small piece of rock he felt, and transported it to their rooms in the palace, continuing on with the restoration the next moment. Crumbles and pieces came together as his magic welded them back, forming wood, rock, trees, and leaves even as he summoned water from the atmosphere and the ground—once again creating the underwater sprouts and creeks that had flowed through the valleys.
In the next five minutes, as he controlled the reconstruction and the magic, Harry thought about the problem he and Diana were facing, and Kara would too. They had no place to spar properly, with each of their punches capable of leveling entire cities and mountains if thrown with some real power behind it. Though, maybe something like the Room of Requirement would be suitable? Its wards and enchantments had been more complex and powerful than anything that had been present in the Wizarding World, with the intersection of seven ley lines powering the whole castle.
Deciding to think about it later on, Harry returned his focus to the task at hand, leaves and shrubs appearing over the wood and hillsides, as the water began to flow as it had prior to their spar. Grunting as his nose bled and his gut twisted from the sudden strain that came with the final stages of the magic, Harry nonetheless pushed forwards, the willpower that had defeated the Imperius of one of the best Death Eaters now imposing itself upon the world.
"We leave tomorrow," he suddenly announced, making everyone else pause their dinner as they looked at him. In return, Harry calmly took a sip of his wine and drummed his fingers on the table, his eyes flicking from Diana to Hippolyta while Kara and Donna both blinked at him, "In fact, the sooner we do it, the better."
"Why?" Hippolyta asked, raising an eyebrow at him as she paced her spoon down, sharing a look with her daughter, "Diana didn't mention any such plans you both had, and given by her expression, you just decided it out of the blue."
"I did," he answered, sighing as he nodded in the direction of the area where he had worked his magic in the morning, "The mystery sorcerer of ours, I know how he found Themyscira."
"Do you now?" She muttered quietly and grabbed the edge of the table, her eyes dark and intense as she stared at him. Around him, he could also sense the way the other Amazons looked at him, curiosity and anger on their faces. Hippolyta brought his attention back to her as she growled quietly, "Well then, tell us, Harry Potter. How in the name of Zeus did some sorcerer find our Paradise when it has been hidden by the Gods themselves! For thousands upon thousands of years, we have lived here, safe and away from Man's world and its blackness, so how was someone able to locate Themyscira?!"
"Due to me."
"Wait what?!" Diana gasped at his admission, the shock on her face transforming into a frown as she glared at the Amazons who had started to move towards him, "Be mindful of your next steps. I will not raise my hands against you, but should you once again make the mistake of accusing him without an explanation, I won't stop him either."
"It was on the night I arrived here with Kara," Harry began before anything else could be said, leaning back on the chair and crossing his arms over his chest. He looked at Hippolyta, adn sighed heavily as he continued, "When I…released my power in a show of force for you and your soldiers…the magical aura was more powerful than what the wards could contain. And we all how bereft of magic the outside world is, and in that…relative void of magical energy, my power would have been like a beacon to anyone who is talented enough in the arcane arts. It drew them to Themiscyra's general location, but this close to the Island? Any sufficiently skilled and powerful mage would be able to locate it despite the obscuring wards over the Island."
"Just yesterday you said that they found it by accident," the Queen of Amazons frowned in return, her tone skeptical as she rose from the chair, leaning forwards to look him in the eyes as her nostrils flared in anger, "and today you say the sorcerer found Themyscira because you flared your power upon its lands. Which narrative am I to believe?"
"The second one," he returned, standing up himself and walking towards the window which faced their sparring grounds of this morning, "It came to me when I was restoring those valleys and hills today, that with how much power I was exuding in that moment, all the mages in my country would have felt that magic. And then, I thought of the last time I had used a comparable amount, which brought my mind to the night I came here. My views on how our mystery mage found Themyscira yesterday were a conjecture, your Majesty, and today too, I am not yet sure of my words. But this scenario makes much more sense to me as a learned, powerful mage. Besides, I like to believe there are no coincidences when my life is concerned."
"And that is why you are leaving," Diana spoke up, crossing the room to walk over to him, "To draw this mage away from Themyscira."
"Yes," he nodded, looking out at the expanse of stars and ocean in front of him, "He knows that there are powerful wards in this ocean, covering and hiding something. He will be back here, and he will be better prepared than before. If he gets inside, and either of us are not here, then I doubt the chances your family has against a sorcerer of this caliber. Therefore, I will go back outside, and flare my power regularly as a lure. In addition, with your permission Queen Hippolyta, I would like to put another ward over the Island…one which will be enough to prevent its detection for a week or two by any means. Out in the world, the sorcerer will come to find the source of the magical power," he paused and turned around, a shark's grin upon his features as his eyes turned cold and hungry, "and instead of a powerful magical object or weapon, he will instead find me."
