Chapter 6: Bounce Back & Breaking Point
The next day Gohan went to school as usual his mood is happier than ever and the classes went usual.
All the students in class noticed change in gohan's behaviour he is happy and looked like he is in a good mood, kara also noticed she is staring at him but he is normal all the day went normal.
When all the students are going to their homes Gohan noticed kara but he didn't held any grudge or anger toward he simply ignored her which irritated her but she didn't dare to push him or talk to him.
"Looks like he is in good mood after killing joker as his face was brighter in these seven years" thought kara.
Later that day kara was in watch tower.
"Did Gohan attended school today?" asked superman.
"Yes".
"Did he behaved strange"? asked superman.
"No, in these five years,today he is in good mood today and his face was bright" said kara.
"What do you mean by that is he not happy these years" asked superman.
"No he looked like he is carrying a lot of weight on his shoulders and he open to less number of students but he is topper of class, but today he is different when he saw me his expression didn't changed nor any anger or hatred was visible on his face" said kara.
"Is there anything you didn't told us" asked superman.
"What do you mean?" asked kara.
"You are the one who talked to him more than us so he told you things he didn't mentioned to us" asked superman.
Kara seemed to remember some things, "he said he is from different dimension and he is on exile" said kara.
Hearing the word exile superman expression changed to a bitter one.
"Self imposed exile" kara corrected.
"Is there any reason?" asked superman.
"No, I think its related to his family like he let them down who trusted him" said kara.
"So he has a family but staying away from them" said superman.
"Did you talked with him?" asked superman.
"No" said kara.
"Why? you said he is happy" asked superman.
"I don't know why but I was little afraid to talk to him" said kara.
Superman understood her and said "don't worry try to talk with him if possible".
She nodded and asked "what about press conference and meeting with UN" asked kara.
"We are discussing about it" said superman.
"Is there any progress" asked kara.
"A little" said superman.

Some mysterious persons are at meeting discussing their plans to take the world into next phase the these are self-proclaimed enlightened members whose primary goal is to precipitate mankind's next evolutionary step, thus placing it on the centre stage of the cosmos.
The main members consist of immortal vandal savage, lex Luthor, queen bee, kalrion, Deathstroke, ultra humanite and zviad baazovi.
"Now it is the time to make our move since the public trust of the league is diminishing" said queen bee.
"No if we do anything the league will try to stop us which will strengthen the trust again" said Luthor.
"So we should wait for the trust to grow" asked Deathstroke.
"No, we will completely destroy it" said vandal savage", We need to raise hysteria among the public about the league".
"I think you can do it" said savage looking at Luthor.
"Of course, I am the one who raised the issue about the league" said Luthor.
After the death of joker was known Luthor used his influence to manipulate media and some people.
"We should make our move fast lest the league will try some thing "said clarion.
"Of course they wont sit idle" said savage.
"Do you think the public will trust them" asked queen bee.
"They will try all they could to establish the trust" said Luthor.
"All we need to do is manipulate the media so then the world will see light" said Luthor.
"What about the golden hero people talking about" asked Deathstroke.
"Don't worry he is not a threat he might have some powers but he won't be a threat "said vandal not knowing about gohan.
"Don't be so cocky we don't know who he is or his origins we need to be careful" said Luthor. and I think he is not on the side of the league, if possible, we should find him and recruit on our side"
It's been few weeks since joker died Gohan is living his normal life and crime in gotham started to rise but this time Gohan didn't interfere thinking there is no need for him to interfere.
The league after having a meeting with UN assuring them and held a press meet.
The main members of the league including batman, superman, wonderwoman, flash, lantern all arrived to the meet.
Superman taking the charge.
"As we all here to answer you questions regarding the recent issue" said superman, "now if you have any questions raise your hand".
One reporter raised his hand, my question to batman.
"How do you feel about joker death and the crime rate was zero for days and many criminals surrendered themselves to police which you can't achieved it all these years".
"Jokers death caused many changes and as you said crime rate was zero for some days but killing is not always solution, I strive for future safety but even joker dies new criminals rise today or tomorrow there will be no end to crime who hard we try," said batman.
"But your method caused more pain and suffering so you failed all these years you gave people false hope and about killing this time its bought a solution what will you say about it?" said another reporter and "public opinion about the league is you spend a lot of time Infront of camera rather saving people from joker but now gotham is some peaceful".
Before the league could answer.
"Isn't justice about bringing justice to victims rather than locking criminals" asked a reporter.
"As you said justice is about doing justice to victims, I try my best to do it," said batman.
"Like what by allowing more deaths" asked a reporter in sarcastic tone.
"and by seeing more deaths and public reaction It didn't brought many changes" asked another reporter.
"Some changes take more time than needed it all stops when people enlightens," said batman.
"So, you are blaming people" asked another reporter.
"No, I am not blaming any one" said batman" all I am saying is people needs to be caused awareness in this type of situations," said batman.
"Do you think people will understand your lame excuse for your incompetence?" asked another reporter.
"As we all heard about one woman saying how her brother is not lucky the second time, she said it's your mistake and said killing him is the right thing and how many countless victims had been suffered" asked a reporter.
"We justice league have a no kill policy as we are not who decide who lives or dies and if we give up to the anger, we are not better than the criminals" said superman.
"So the victims who wished joker's death are same as joker" asked another reporter.
"No, no I didn't mean it" said superman searching for the correct words.
"as you asked we went killed all criminals do you think the public will be comfortable don't they get the same thought that we might take over the world" asked batman.
"that's your problems to solve" said another reporter.
"aren't we here about public issue then how its our matter to solve" asked batman.
"the public was more safe before the league was formed ever since the league formed more criminals emerged its like a cat and mouse game between all of you so it's the league issue to solve.
Meanwhile Gohan watching this in Jeffery house.
"Still, they don't accept their mistake" scoffed Gohan.
"but the reporter raised a fair question ever since the league came more criminals emerged" said Jeffery.
At the press conference.
"we anticipated that more of these situations will arise since the alien invasion those years ago we working as a team managed to stop the invasion criminals emerged before the league formed and after the league formed" said batman.
"I admit I sometimes got angry to kill joker many times but if I kill I may do the same again which leads me to their path" said batman.
"We understand your concern but we always put our lives Infront your lives to save you all and we will do it even if the public didn't trust us" said superman.
"And to rebuild the trust we are setting a base on earth so we can be available to everyone" said wonder woman.
"And we are extremely sorry if you thought you aren't being safe" said superman.
"How can we be safe if criminals comes and kill peoples and you lock them but again escape and kill more how long it has to be continue" asked another reporter.
"We understand why you are implying but we don't want people to be feared of us we want to give hope to earth and its people" said superman.
"Do you know about the hero who killed joker" asked another reporter.
"Heroes don't kill and we don't know about him" said batman. Because he doesn't want to cause problems for Gohan.
"That what the public is call him" said a reporter.
"the person who killed joker is blaming you for not taking care of joker so he may be a victim or meta human" asked another reporter.
"We are once again sorry for your loss who killed the joker we hope you are seeing this our intention is never to cause pain to innocents but we have a line of duty which we can't cross" said superman.
"If there are no questions for toady, we will conclude the meet," said superman.
The press meet was concluded the league was hoping it might rebuild the trust from public but the questions from the press made it nigh impossible since lex plan worked almost.
Batman is working in Batcave he is not attending any missions since the death of joker the crime rate is decreased he trying to find information about Gohan all he got is what the orphanage files had and nothing new.
Then his faithful butler Alfred came with a tray containing coffee in his hands.
"Why are looking for this little boy master Bruce" asked Alfred.
"this little boy you calling has power enough to defeat the league by himself and he is the one who made me like this and most important he is the one who killed joker" said batman.
Alfred was surprised by hearing those words.
"Is it true master burce that he is more powerful than league and he killed joker" asked Alfred.
"Yes Alfred".
"Is there any reason" asked Alfred.
"Do you remember the orphanage which was attacked a few days ago" asked batman.
Yes.
"Apparently this boy lived in this orphanage while he is watchtower joker put fire and all the kids died then he blamed us made me like this breaking all bones in my body except my skull and spine and left me at deaths door" said batman.
"now I understand" said Alfred.
"What did you understand?" asked batman.
"many may agree or disagree with the method the boy went but it did some good many can roam peacefully on nights" said Alfred.
"are you supporting him" asked batman.
"may be or may be not I am thinking as a victim not everyone thinks the same" said Alfred.
"But we shouldn't kill and everyone deserves a second chance". said batman.
"how many chances were given to joker master bruce thousands of people died and many times you were lucky to escape not all people listens with words" said Alfred, "I am not blaming you master bruce you tried to help him but it failed you think you are helping innocents but you are saving none in fact you are hurting yourself".
Then Alfred left the Batcave leaving batman in thoughts.
At another location a red head girl who is in wheel chair was seeing reports about the golden hair hero but she got nothing.
"did you got anything?" asked a person in mask.
"no jason there is nothing" said Barbara.
"how many time should I tell you not use my name during patrolling" asked Jason.
"relax there is nobody here" said Barbara.
"I think bruce might had information" said Jason.
"what made you think like that?" asked Barbara.
"don't you know what happened to bruce?" asked Jason.
"no what happened?" asked Barbara.
"somebody beat the shit out of batman with all the bones broken in his body" said Jason.
Barbara was surprised by hearing she knew batman was expert martial artist but she didn't expected that.
"what happened?" asked Barbara.
"I think its related to jokers death" said Jason.
"what that mean?" asked Barbara.
"hack into bruce computer check for any information" said Jason.
"before joker's death a few days ago he caused a treason in an orphanage funded by wayne foundation all children were dead on that day bruce was beaten and I think it was one of the victims of that oprhange" said Jason.
"should I believe it how a kid from orphanage can beat bruce" asked Barbara.
"the same person who beat the shit out of batman is the same person who killed the joker" said Jason.
"are you sure? And how do you know all of these you are not working with batman since your resurrection" asked Barbara.
"yes but I kept tabs on him" said Jason "did you find any thing?".
"no but there is file named Gohan it's a new file" said Barbara.
"open it" said Jason.
What they saw was surprised them both.
"so he is the one who killed joker and you are right Jason he is a victim" said Barbara.
"not only that bruce taged him as a omega level threat" said Jason.
"bruce sees every one as a threat so there is no wonder" said Barbara.
They both read his powers.
"well that's a blow he has power to destroy the earth if he like" said Jason.
"so that's why bruce taged him at omega" said Barbara.
"and he is not from earth and he is living in wayne orphanage from seven years" said Jason.
"but why did he beat batman for what joker did" asked Barbara.
"don't know we need to ask him may he blamed batman for not taking care about joker and end him when needed" said Jason.
"are you mad if he finds that we work for batman he may kill us and what you said makes sense" said Barbara.
"its past Barbara I am already dead and we both are victims of joker and bruce incompetence made us like this atleast somebody had courage to right thing" said Jason.
"so he studies at madison high school" said Barbara.
"but how batman find about him since he is living on earth for seven years and are you sure he is the one who killed joker" asked Barbara looking at photos then they saw Gohan with black hair and blonde hair.
"does it answer your question" asked Jason.
